Safari in OSX 10.2.8

I want to know if there is a newer version of Safari that will run in OSX 10.2.8
I have been using mac since the Mac Classic wow long time ago been out of the mix for about a year or so. I am very familiar with os 9 but osx has me going in circle trying to figure out why it acts like it does. I just want my email to work properly and does any one know if suitcase 10.2 works with my system it acts like I am a server but I work at home and only have one mac as well as a Dell PC 2400 series any info would be great. Rhonda is not clear about which version of Safari or OSX is running. I think the question is, how do you make sure you have the latest version of Safari in whichever is the last update of OSX that you are able to have? Software Update doesn't pick it up.
I've just resurrected an older Mac for my son, which is running OS 10.2.8, but Safari 1.0.3. How do we manage to get the top level of Safari for this version of OS? Apple Downloads only offers the latest for newer Mac users.

I might be forced to hack out sections until i can eliminate/pinpoint the code, but being a magento site that is a very complex and daunting proposition.

I ran your site with Firefox error console and got the attached, perhaps Safari can't handle these errors. Activity monitor does show Safari in a hard cpu loop while trying to access the site. 'Sample Process' seems to point at a Java Script as the culprit.

I need to block ads. Do they make Adblock for Safari 4 OSX 10.4.11 or any other ad blockers? I lke the speed of Safari 4 but im not switching unless i can block ads.

It will install a plugin in your HD>Library>InputManagers folder. If Safari crashes, then simply go to the Finder and remove the plugin, then restart Safari.

Safari 7 osx 10.9 IMac intel intel late 2009 is not saving bookmqrks from the toolbar +. It will save bookmarks from the bookmarks menu - add bookmark.

Might be corrupted Safari preferences ...
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.Safari.plist file to the trash.
Try adding a Bookmark.

the page loads in safari if javascript is disabled, it seems to be something javascript related that is causing the issue. i wish safari didn't lockup so I could actually debug the issue safari is having.
this is a magento site so yeah, there are wc3 validation errors as with most magento sites.
i'll look into resolving as many of those as possible, but all the other webkit based browsers load the site fine, which also points back to a javascript issue as safari uses its own javascript implimentation.
anyone have any ideas? please chime in. thanks.

Safari and OSX 10.9.1

I installed Maveric OSX, since it is installed I have problem with Safari. Application is set on Safari with Google browser. All other seetings are blank. When browse for example czp than instead of results in google i get resaults in Bing. Why, how to change this. I like google not Bing. Also if I start private search I can get anything. In private browsing I cant get anything. Please help me.

KeyboardEvent Bug in Flash Player Debugger (Safari/WebKit OSX 10.6.8)

There is a bug with the debugger :-)
I ran into the following bug.
After doing a fair amount of testing I am able reproduce the problem at will, so here it is:
The Debug version of the Flash Player used for development does not detect keyboard inputs from Safari (tested with Version 5.1 (6534.50)) or WebKit (tested Version 5.1 (6534.50, r92131)) on OSX 10.6.8
All other browsers detect KeyboardEvents attached to the stage without any issue except for Safari/Webkit that just ignore all KeyboardEvents.
Of course the issue is limited to the debug version of the Falsh Player so not too big of an issue but I was wondering if Adobe is planning on fixing that issue?

I'm dumb: How to tab to form elements in Safari (and OSX in general)

How do I tab to a checkbox on a form in Safari? Tabbing to textfields works ok and buttons too, but no go on checkboxes. On an x86 box (windoze) I can tab to a checkbox and hit the spacebar to tick that element. I'm fairly new to OSX and have noticed this in other parts of the UI besides Safari.

Open up Keyboard & Mouse in System Preferences. Click on Keyboard Shorcuts. At the bottom of the window, check off "All controls". Close System Preferences. That should do it.

Does the latest security update to Safari effect OSX v10.6.8?

Does the latest security update (Fix issued 25/02/14) to Safari not effect Mac OSX v10.6.8 Snow Leopard? Software update has not flagged it up in Snow leopard, so presumably it is only Lion & Mavericks that had the flaw.

PLEASE help ...problems with Safari after OSX 10.4.11

I am so , so frustrated. After trying to install the new osx, my safari will not open. A pop on the deck and nothing. I could not install the update either. I got an error message. I tried to reinstall 10.4.11 and still error.
I don't know much about my computer so please be very explicit...
I tried to call the tech support, but of course my 1 year expired and they will not talk until they get $$. Well I find that this is crap, since it seems after reading the postings that this is their doing. Anyway I ruined my Thanksgiving...CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. I tried to read the posts, but not sure how to apply.

Why does Safari Mac OSX nor load my IWEB made webpages?

i am confused, and maybe someone has a suggestion that can help - i created a site in iweb and it loads in all browsers EXCEPT safari in Mac OSX (that means it loads fine in safari Windows!)
the first page sometimes loads but if you try the other pages the load progress bar shows but not the page. that the only way a page will load is if i click somewhere on it. many visitors don't realize this. after clicking the reload btn many times they leave the site.

The problem is with the URL. Every page comes up as...
http://tunities.com/
.. whereas they should be...
http://tunities.com/welcome
http://tunities.com/playgrounds etc.
The problem is with your server. Either your domain name has not been directed properly (masked maybe) or the index file is not in the right place.

Problem with mobileconfig file on Safari 6, OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion

Safari 6 on OSX 10.8 does not recognize our .mobileconfig file as something that should be downloaded/installed. instead, it just renders the text from the file into the browser window.
Apache has been configured with (and restarted):
AddType application/x-apple-aspen-config mobileconfig
AddType application/x-apple-aspen-config .mobileconfig
i think this might be a bug, but i'm not sure. Chrome and Firefox both recognize that they are supposed to download the file; however, Safari does not.
any thoughts/suggestions?

Flash Player 12.0.0.4 will not install to Safari & Firefox OSX 10.7.5

I have gone through the "clean install" process posted in this forum 3 times now in an attempt to get FP 12.0.0.4 to install to Safari. I have downloaded 12.0.0.4 and run the install process. It successfully installs to Chrome but each time, Safari and Firefox again end up with 12.0.0.38! Then if I go back to the check Flash Player page: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html
It will tell me 12.0.0.4 is the current verison that should be installed.
If I go to Mozilla's check plugins page https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
It will tell me that 12.0.0.38 is installed for FF and is "up to date."
So, is 12.0.0.4 only for Chrome or what?

The Flash Player page specifically shows 12.0.0.4 for Safari, FireFox and Opera. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
Correct info would have prevented a pointless waste of time. The other Flash Player test page also reports the wrong information when viewing via Safari and FF.
