    How can I set home page for a new tab? how can i get firefox to open the home page every time i open a new tab in Windows vista home basic??
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened

    Firefox can have multiple home pages if you wish. Each home page that will open when starting Firefox is separated by the "|" character.
    See: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+set+the+home+page
    To have new tabs open a specific web site, add one of the following extensions:

  • I want my home page to open every time I open a new tab. Where is the setting for that?

    When I open a new tab it is always blank. I want it to automatically open to my home page every time I open a new tab.
    I thought I found a setting for this, but I can not find it now.

    There is no setting for this, but you can do that by using an add-on such as:
    * NewTabURL - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/newtaburl
    * New Tab Homepage - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-homepage
    Another way of opening the home page in a new tab is to middle click on the home button in the navigation toolbar.

  • I can't stop the Firefox Start page from opening - in addition to my default page - each time I open Firefox

    # Question
    I can't stop the Firefox Start page from opening - in addition to my default page - each time I open Firefox

    Is this the Firefox branded Google page? If it is, Firefox can store multiple home pages and you may have 2 home pages set. Follow the instructions to set a single home page in this link - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/How+to+set+the+home+page
    If it is the Firefox has just updated page that keeps on appearing, there may be a different problem, for details on fixing that see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Firefox+has+just+updated+tab+shows+each+time+you+start+Firefox

  • Websites don't open in new tab on SharePoint 2013 pages

    Hello,
    I have Open in new tab checked in the page editor for a link on SharePoint 2013 page.  When the page is published, the link does not open up at all.  I have to do a right mouse click and select "Open in a new tab" manually.  I am
    using IE 11.
    Anyway there could be something to get this to work with IE?  When use the page in Google Chrome, the website opens up in a new tab.  Not with IE.
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    Paul

    I am editing links on a webpage on a SharePoint page. I am in the content management system on SharePoint 2014. I have check out the page and in the editing mode. I have highlighted a link on a page and can edit the link. There is an option to select
    "Open in a new tab".   This is an internal SharePoint site, our intranet.  Client OS are Windows 8.1.
    I have read that it could be the Pop-Up blocker or the  Protect mode for intranet. I will check those out.

  • Why cant I find an add-on to open a new tab in my home page on Firefox 5?

    I have been able to open a new tab in my home page (Google in my case) in all of the other versions of Firefox. I am a loyal user but this is frustrating. I cannot locate an add-on for this feature. Is there something out there?

    You can use one of the following IF you also install the Add-on Compatibility Reporter, below (the developers need to update one line of their code to make them compatible with Firefox 5).
    *http://sogame.awardspace.com/newtaburl/
    *https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/777
    The following Add-on adds a "Compatibility" button in your Add-ons > Extensions that you may need to click after installing it and restarting Firefox.

  • Every time I open a new tab, it no longer goes to the standard "you've opened a new tab" page, but to a searchwebsite of Babylon. How do I fix this?

    Every time I open a new tab, it no longer shows the standard Firefox "new tab" page, but a search-website by Babylon. I don't know how to fix this.

    To revert to Google as your preferred search engine, please do the following.
    * In the location bar, type '''about:config''' and hit Enter.
    * In the filter at the top, type: '''keyword.URL'''
    * Double click it and remove whatever's in there and replace it with http://www.google.com/search?q=
    The URL to add in "keyword.URL" becomes a link in this post, so right click it and choose "Copy Link Location" to copy it to the Windows clipboard. Then hit CTRL+V to paste it. Saves you having to type the whole thing.
    '''To reset your home page, do the following'''.
    * Go to the site you want to set as your homepage.
    * Click the orange Firefox button and go to '''Options '''| '''Options '''| '''General'''
    * Make sure it says "''Show My Homepage''" in the first dropdown menu.
    * Click the button called "'''Use Current Pages'''" to set the homepage to the one you have on the screen.
    After you complete the above steps, install this add-on to prevent another search engine from modifying your preferences: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/browserprotect/
    It's possible that ''Babylon ''will add itself to more than one place in '''about:config'''. Therefore, after completing the above steps, open about:config again, type "''babylon''" in the filter at the top and for every instance where you see a setting with that name in it, right click it and choose ''''''Modify ''''''and then ''''''Reset''''''. Then close Firefox and restart it. See example screenshot.
    Babylon search and toolbar will be installed with an IM chat client called ''Digsby'' if you don't opt out of it during the installation. See the info at the foot of this page: http://techshali.com/digsby-instant-messenger-and-email-manager-social-networks/

    Firefox is coded to open new tabs in a blank page. That may change in Firefox 4. I don't know.
    In the meantime, there is an add-on called Tab Mix Plus that I think provides that option. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1122/
