Sales BOM in the billing document

Hi,
We have a scenario where a Sales BOM needs to be processed as a third party sale. The requirement is to have the Sales BOM header relevant for generating the PR and PO. However, when the invoice document is created, the components of the sales BOM need to be exploded in the resulting billing document.
Is there a way to have a BOM explosion on the billing document ?
Appreciate your inputs.

Hi Rohit,
I am also working on the same scenario right now.So have you got any solution for this issue.?Please advice me if you got the solution.

    Hi
I am creating billing document but it is not picking profit centre from the sales order.
Could you please help me in this.
    thanks in advamce.

    Hi,
Ensure that the profit center is assigned to your Sales order.
Also maintain the following settings in copy control.
    Goto the T.Code "VTFA".
    Select your valid combination.Details.
Double click on "Item".Select your Item category.
    Details.
    Maintain "Copy requirements" as "002".
    Data VBRK/VBRP as "002".

  • UK VAT - MWST Condition Rate in Sales Order different to Billing Document

We are testing the UK VAT Rate Change.
Condition MWST has a rate of 15% until today and 17.5% from tomorrow.
When I create a sales order with a requested delivery date of tomorrow and a pricing date of today the MWST Condition is shown as 17.5% at both header and lin eitem.
If I create a delivery, post goods issue and create a billing document today, the billing document correctly shows the MWST Condition rate as 15%%.
But the Sales document still displays the MWST Condition rate as 17.5% .
?? How can I get the sales document to display the actual condition rate ??
I cannot find a solution to this anywhere and would be grateful for any help.
    Regards,

    Hi Michael,
If the pricing date for the Sales Order and the Billing Document are the same, the VAT should be also be the same.
But the pricing date for both document does not always have to be the same.
If the real goods issue date is different from the planned goods issue date and you use it as a reference for the pricing date, then both dates will be different & that's OK. The same would happen if a discount is changed after the Sales Order is introduced but before billing & a new price determination takes place during billing.
IMHO the Billing Document is the critical document and needs to have the right VAT rate.
The Sales Order should have the data calculated based on the best information available at creation time, but does not need to be corrected after Billing.
    Best Regards,
    Franck

  • Identify BOM Materials in the billing document

    Hi,
We use sales BOMs and we need a way to identify that the material in the billing document is a component of a BOM. The sales order has a field VBAP-STLNR that gives the BOM explosion number so that a component of a BOM can be recognized.
Is there a way to identify a BOM component in the billing document ? There is a field VBRP-SERNR in the billing document, but this field remains blank for a Sales BOM.
Would appreciate inputs from the forum.
    Thanks and regards
    Rohit Zalani

    hello, friend.
one way of identifying BOM components is by looking at the item numbers, but this depends on your configuration of line item numbering for doc types (look in VOV8).
normally, main or higher level materials are numbered in the tens, for example the first line item is 10, then the next is 20, etc.
if line item 10 material is a BOM, then the components would have line item numbers 11, 12, 13, etc.
in the sales order, you can tell if a material is a BOM or component by their item categories.  i don't recall if the item categories are available in the invoice and i will get back to you on this.  but if the item categories are available, then your problem will be solved.
    regards.

  • Wrong profit center capture in the billing document of intercompany sales

    Hi Experts,
I am facing a problem on the incorrect profit center capture in the billing document while billing to external customer. I did try to search SAP notes found that it can be use substitution user exit to correct it. So I try to find out the substitutions by T-code GBB1 in the folder  "profit center accounting" under create sale order.
The problem is how to maintain the substitution? Besides that did any one knows how to write the user exit for this substitution.  I will appreciate if you can give me some sample program. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Jennie Tan

    Hi,
Refer to program RGGBS000 FORM u100. Your user exit has to be modelled along those lines.  Change the select statement to select the profit center from the material master using the material number field (PCASUB-MATNR) and plant (PCASUB-WERKS). Move this profit center to the profit center field (PCASUB-PRCTR).
Copy RGGBS000 to ZGGBS000 and then write this code.
Just writing this out of my mind. Get an abaper to help you with this.
    TABLES: MBEW.
    DATA: WA_MARC TYPE MARC.
      exits-name  = 'U345'.
      exits-param = c_exit_param_none.
      exits-title = 'profit center subs'.
      APPEND exits.
    FORM u345.
    SELECT * FROM MARC INTO WA_MARC WHERE MATNR = PCASUB-MATNR AND WERKS = PCASUB-WERKS.
    IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
       MOVE WA_MARC-PRCTC TO PCASUB-PRCTR.
    ENDIF.
    ENDFORM.
In SM30 table V_T80D assign the program ZGGBS000 to application area GBLS.
Then write your substitution in 0KEM. Make sure in TCode 0KEL the the activation level is 1 or 3.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Component Detail in the Billing Document

One of our markets in Europe wants to sell an assortment of products under one material number (ABC in the example below).  Per a requirement from our largest customers, they want the one item to appear on the Billing Document along with all of the items in the assortment.  See the table below for an idea of what the invoice needs to look like.  In this example, ABC consists of 2 cases of A1, 10 cases of B2, and 7 cases of C3.
Does anyone do anything like this?  If so, can you please share the details of what you do?  We want to avoid Variant Config.
    Sample Invoice -
Material - Quantity - Unit Price - Extended Price
    ABC - 1 - $100.00 - $100.00
    ---A1 - 2 - $20.00 - $40.00
    ---B2 - 10 - $2.50 - $25.00
    ---C3 - 7 - $5.00 - $35.00
    Total - $100.00

    HI Patrick,
Here in this senario you can try SD Material BOM.
you can cerate the material BOM with main item in this case the main role play by the Item Category grp. which we take in Material Master LUMF in Sales org.2 .
When we cerate BOM for this item all the sub item will explode in the sales order & same will happen in Billing.
In this type of BOM pricing happen at sub item level not at header level.
I hope this will help u.
    Regards
    Deepak

  • Error while saving the billing document

    Dear All,
I am getting an Error- "No taxes on sales/purchase are allowed for account 870205 L002, AB is not allowed" when i save the billing document. when i go to the conditions tab under item data in the billing document after saving the document and try to view the detail for the discount condition type it shows that the discount condition type has a tax code AB assigned to it.
I am using the same pricing procedure in another company code where it works fine and I don't get any error. Besides here on viewing the same discount condition type there is no tax code assigned.
Can anybody explain what could be the possible reason?
I searched for the solution in the forum and came to know that if I go to FS00 and assign * to Tax Category under control data then it works fine and i don't encounter the problem after saving the billing document.
Although i have found the solution But what troubles me is that when the same pricing procedure works fine in the first company code without assigning * to the tax category then why do i need to assign * in the second company company code to be able to save the billing document.
    Thanks and Regards
    Deepak Joshi

First of all let me ask you to indicate the name correctly.
Secondly,  the root cause to the issue what you have indicated is in FS00 and you need to compare the settings in both the company codes.
Finally, the issue is not because of your pricing procedure but because of some missing FI settings.  Thats all I can say now based on the information you have provided.
    thanks

  • Return order with reference to the Billing Document

    Hi All,
This is with reference to issue that when I create a Return order with reference to the Billing document
I had one line item in the billing document say xxx of quantity  4  I had done the setting in the
system messages V4 229 to convert the warning to error messages for billing quanity to order quanity
If I enter in the first line item 8 insted of 4 system will throw a error but the issue is the same item xxx of qty 4 is entered in the second line item  and system allows to save the return order how to stop  this
    Please give the valuable feedback.

    Dear Friend
    Welcome to SDN
Return order is itself a challenge to SAP standard settings
    There are some scenarios
    1. Return order qty should not be increasesd say Billed qty of material X is 20 units
While returning Material X should be a maximum of 20 units
If made 21 it should throw error T code OVAH message class V4 message no 299 convert from warning to error thro customization
2.Return order should be created only once referencing billing doc
To control that T code SE91 message class V1 message no 499 convert from warning to error thro ABAP help
3 Your issue is same like case 1 but the material X is entered as second line item in the return order with some qty
This case system is not throwing even a warning
    Yes correct
This is to be handled with userexit
    Discuss the same with ABAPer
Check these threads on return issues which is of different scenario than of yours

  • USER EXIT/ BADI (The price should not be changed in the billing document)

    Hi all,
We have given manual entry provision for pricing in Sales order level. But as per the company requirement, the price should not be changed in the billing document. Also the point to be considered is, it is a delivery based billing.
Kindly help me for finding USER EXIT/ BADI to achieve my requirement.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Please refer to OSS notes:
105621 - Authorization check for the condition screen - you can use following user-exit includes for changing the condition tab to display only:
        USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION
        USEREXIT_PRICING_CHECK
        USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFIC_LEER
        USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFIC_KZWI
        USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFIC_KOPF
1165078 - Authorization check for conditions or subtotals - from ECC6.0 EHP4 there is a dedicated BAdI for authorization check, however if the user is not aurhorized to change the conditions, the conditions are not visible for the user as well.

  • To make  the Billing document header  updated with the new VAT number.

    Hi Experts
Due the business requirement we change the VAT number of  customers  for the European countries.
And now how can we ensure that the Billing document header gets updated with the new VAT Reg.Number for the existing Billing documents.
The intention is to ensure that when we Print an already existing invoice, the new changed VAT number should appear in the invoice output.
    Please suggest.
    Montee

    Hi,
Have these documents been released to accounting? If yes then you have top canecl all the documents to update the billing documents and repost them with the new vat number. I think you might know how VAT gets determined in SAP. If not please go to SPRO-IMG-SD-BF-TAXES-MAINTAIN SALES TAX IDENTIFICATION UMBER DETERMINATION.
      1.  If the payer has a VAT ID number and RG <> AG, then the tax number
and tax classification are copied from the payer (in this case, the
          ship-to party is not relevant).
The tax number is taken according to the 'tax country of
          destination'.
      2.  If 1. does not apply:
If the ship-to party has a VAT registration number and the sold-to
party does not, tax number and tax classification are copied from
          the ship-to party.
      3.  If 2. does not apply:
Tax number and tax classification are copied from the sold-to party.
If you enter A, tax number and tax classification are generally copied
      from the sold-to party.
The tax number is copied according to the 'country of destination
      relevant for taxes'.
If you enter B, tax number and tax classification are generally copied
      from the payer.
The tax number is copied according to the 'country of destination
      relevant for taxes'.
Kindly please let me know If you need any more information on this.

  • After cancelling the  billing document accounting document not generated

    hi,
we released the billing and accounting document generated but customer needed changes in the billing values so we cancel the billing document but accounting document not generated(reversal accounting not happen)....in document flow it shows in cancel document in blocking state ....we try to release in VF02 but it throws the error "Client 200 does not contain an active application area" . but the other sales order we test in qulaity server the scenorio is working fine...............for specific one sales order creating problem now.....
try to solve the issue ..
    Thanks
    Muthuraman.D

    Dear all,
I have noticed this problem in my company system.
    Problem descripion:
    - you creates an invoice and the system doesn't post it for any reason
    - then you create the cancel of the invoice, BEFORE forcing the posting of the invoice
--> user creates Cancel, Cancel is not posted as well.
--> from now it is impossible to post both invoices: if you try to post the Invoice after the cancel creation, the VF02 recongnise that a CANCEL exists and do not allow for the posting
--> standard VFX3 doesn't signal this kind of not posted documents situation.
Ok, The right procedure for thes user should be: create invoice, if not posted then try to understand why not posted, and not CANCEL it.
But in this case VFK3 was not able to detect the invoice was not posted: it was not in the list.
So the 2 ways must be:
    1) one possibility could be undestand in VFX3 could be enhanced: I checked in OSS but I didn't find anything.
    2) other possibility: add a further check in interface between SD and FI in order to check if original invoice is not posted to FI  and in this case block the cancel creation, as instead standard SAP does.
Could you please give me an idea on how it would be better proceed?
    Thank You very much.
