Sales order items without prices

Dear experts,
In default SAP, it is allowing to enter the items in sales orders which has not defined the price.
We want to restrict this.
What is the procedure for this?

Hi,
There are two ways of doing this.
1.Maintain the condition type as "Required" in the pricing procedure.
2.Maintain "Net value" as one of teh field in the incompletion log.Goto the T.Code "VOV8".Select your Order type.Details.
Maintain the tick mark for the field "Incomplet. messages".
Save.
You can go for any one of these two options.

    Dear All ,
    I have the following issue .
    When the sales order was created Z001 price was populated based on the condition record and  the order was in complete status  Then we created delivery and  invoice , the invoice had the same price as that of sales orders.
    Due to some code change related to pricing condition type - Z001 the prices in the sales order is changed to "ZERO" , when the sales order is opened in VA02 .
    We now corrected the code related to condition type - Z001  and now need to get back the on the line items . I wanted to Update prices by clicking on icon " Update" in the line item condition tab . I am not able to do it as the update icon is grayed out.
    Can any one help me with ideas for  fixing this issue  or any SAP utility  program .

    Without reversing invoice we can't update price and this is standard bevaior which is logical too. For your scenario I am wondering why would you want to change price for a line item or order which is alrady invoiced and posted to FI. What difference would it make to change price in sale order when this has already been posted in FI?

  • How to know if a Sales order item created with or without reference

    Hi,
    I am working on user exit USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP, and I just wanted to know if there is a way to know if a sales order item is created with or without reference to a contract.
    I need to write the code in USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP, however, when an SO line item is created with reference the userexit is being called twice and when the SO line item is created without reference the user exit is being called only once.
    My aim is to check if a SO line item is created with reference to a valid contract. If the item is without reference to a contract or the referenced contract is not valid, then I will have to determine the contract based on the customer contracts.
    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Vindo,
    The Userexit USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP is called twice when the SO line item is created with reference to contract. The first time the user exit is called there will be no value filled in vbap-vgbel and the second time it comes to the userexit then vbap-vgbel will have a value. I think CVBAK-VBELN will contain the reference if the so line item is created with reference and the value of CVBAK-VBELN contrains blank if the item is not referenced. Anyway thanks for your reply.

  • Net price calculation for a sales order item

    I am sending the input to BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 for a sales order item with a customer expected price and the material number (pricing group is not being filled in). When the sales order is generated, I see that net price is different from the expected price and the price is being obtained based on the material number that is being given as input. I want to know at what point of code the net price is calculated?  I tried to debug and see but with the numerous userexits and BADIs in the calls I am not successful yet. Any input is appreciated.

    It goes through different pricing routines but the start will be in function module 'PRICING'. Put a break point and run your BAPI or go to tcode VOK0 - find the condition and routines.
    Pricing will be calculated based on customer and material.
    Previous answer is pretty good, you need to fill item conditions in table in bapi also header conditions if you are using header pricing.
    Anyways, first of all create your order from VA01 and see the netprice in conditions. again, the pricing will also depends upon region of customer and material.

The common fields between these two DSOs is the Sales Order number but in my cube I have dual entries for each Sales Order document (item and schedule info).

    Two previous remarks:
    1) If you need to report on very detailed data consider doing an info-set joining both datastores. 2 reasons why:
    - not a good idea to report on very detailed information (sales order, GI dates) on cube level, if you have a scenario with lots of data. You end up with big dimension tables a poor report times;
    - there are better alternatives, like drill-through from cube query to DS query with report to report interface or Datastore-based reporting...so...
    With this solution you do not need to change the data model, I think, but test to be sure. See if the reporting times are acceptable. If not...
    2) First confirm your requirements, because what you show in your example as "to-be" have details that do not make sense, probably..
    - if you have more that one schedule line for each item then you would have many times the item information like material/price;
    - if not or if you could cope with that, then you can consider:
    2.1) create a new DS that agregattes from the previous on, with the same key of sales order item; do you have schedule line kf's? if so you these KF's should be additive in DS update; But if you may have more one scheduled line for 1 item then you have to decide what to do with the GI data (keep the last one posted, use code..) and other characteristics.
    2.2) update the shedule line datasource to the sales order item DS; same comments apply.
    2.3) maintain the missing data in the cube update rules from sheduled lines DS. Using code, refer to the respective item in the order item ODS. You would have to make sure that DS's data are correctly activated before updating the infocube.
    What solutions to choose?
    2.1 is better in terms of flexibility and architecture...because you could re-arrange the new DS to answer future needs, without loosing the 1st line DS's data;
    2.2 choose if data volumes and disk space are a concern...
    or
    2.3 it's OK, but i do not like it because of what explained in point 1...

  • Sales Order - Returns change the sales order item delivery status

    we have the following requirement from our users:
    after creating a return, the original sales order should have the
    delivery item status changed.The system should permit that a new
    delivery can be created for sales order item already delivered / billed (a new delivery with the quantity that has being returned) but has a return document,
    without increasing the sales order quantity.
    Does any body got the same requirement ?

    Hi Marcus,
      After creating return order you have to do the goods receipts.But this doesn't mean that you will be able to create a delivery with the old order itself.
      You have to create the order again and ahve to create a new delivery,goods issue and billing.
      Another option is as Roberto said that you have to reverse the goods issue thru VL09 and then cancel(delete) your delivery and then you can create a new delivery wr.t to your original sales order.

  • How to copy sales order item text in to purchase requisition

    Hi Experts,
    We enter text for the sales order items in the sales order item details.
    we have done settings for the purchase requision to copy text from sales order into purchase requisition and this works for purchase requisitions automatically created from sales order.
    we need to get text from sales order to be copied in purchase requisitions which are created by converting the planned order.
    we have tried SPRO settings SPRO->Materials Management>purchasing--->text for purchase requisition.
    but this settings does not works for Pur Req. created by converting the planned order.
    is this because planned order does not have segment for text like sales order and purchase requisition?
    Please let me know if it is possible through standard SAP or with the lease development, any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks for your reply, some of the items in sales order are procured externally by us and our customer maintains text related to price and specification in the item details of the sales order, MRP creates planned order for these materials and these planned orders are always converted in pur requisition, we want that text from the sales order item details should be copied in to the purchase requisitions converted from planned orders.
    is there any user exit which can be called at the time of saving a purchase req or user exit for converting planned order in to pur req.?
    if there is any such exit available, then I think I can read the pegged requirement of the planned order where sales order item will be found then read the text in the item then copy this text in pur req then save pur req may work.
    but this will be a bulky development, please let me know if we can shorten the development.

    The FM BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE is not working properly as I am getting below error when try to update the reason for rejection at sales order item level.
    The delivery is done for this salesorder. Is it because the reason for rejection field is not as an input field when delivery done?
    error in return table is " Field 'ABGRU' cannot be changed, VBAPKOM 000010  ready for input"

    Yes, Most likely.. You can confirm this by trying to change a order without delivery and see if it goes thru (to ensure that you have passed correct parameters)...
    you may have to delete the delivery (and if billing document exist, cancel it), before you can reject the line item... it would be safer to raise an error message and let the users manually delete delivery document as long as you don't have large volumes of this scenario..

    I would like to change the order in which fields of Sales Order Item display in. Basically move some fields forward so client does not need to scroll so far to right to maintain for example Order number. Is there a place in config where you can control the sequencing of fields for the Order line items?

    You can create the screen variant as mentioned , using SHD0. Activate the variant.
    If you do not want to display the changes for all transactions , then without activating the variant, assign it to the order type which you want these changes to be displayed. For example for OR order type. Assign the variant in Order type configuration (VOV8 T Code) > Transaction flow > Variant .

    Hi Matt,
        Its no possible If you are maintaining data at Order Level.
    Try to introduce one more ODS/DSO in between ODS's and CUBE by keeping Sales Order only key field. Load data from both DSO's in required fields only. Then PUSH delta to CUBE. In this why you can maintain 1 record. Try to compress cube(with delete Zero Record Rows) to delete unnessasary records.

    We have some specific requirement from the client - Client does n't want few  end users to see the price details in sales so they want  the condition tab to be  invisible mode in sales order item lvel only for few users  i.e the condition tab  should not be displayed  for that user  is this possible  ?
    Note : I only have idea setting few fields in  sales order  but not tabs in sales order through screen variant -SHD0

    Hi,
    There are a couple of options you can go with.
    1) You can use Transaction and Screen variants to create your own ZVariant and then put that to user profile.  Allow the user to run only with the variant you setup for the user via authorizations.
    2) Get GUIXT software by Synactive, to perform the above task for you. 
    3) If you happen to have latest version of SAP ECC i.e. 6.0 with EHP3 or above, you can go with NWBC (Netweaver Business Client).

  • Value of NET in Sales Order item (Pricing)

    Hi,
    I have created a Price correction order. Where I put the corrected price and all the calculations happen on the entered corrected price. Like the discounts and taxes.
    All the calculations in the Pricing is perfect.
    But the value in Net for the line item is calculating incorrect value.
    For e.g. If Corrected price is 100 and the Net value for this is 60 (including discounts and taxes). Then the value in Net in the Sales order will show the Value (100 + 60) = 160.
    All the calculations in the Pricing procedure are perfect.
    Please help me with this issue, How the value is NET (Sales order item) is calulated. Is this associated with any routine.

    NET will be  Prices + Surcharges - Discount.
    so, see the discounts and surcharges in your order.

    We create sales order through contract, But 2 days back contract got deleted and the sales orders created without the contract doesnt have price on it. Now we have many sales order without contract and no price. Is there any way i can update the contract or price to the sales orders other than reversing it

  • How to make a sales order item deleted in ECC while in CRM just status changed?

    I have a requirment, that is:
    1. the user will change the USER STATUS in a line item of sales order to "CANCEL".
    2. When the order was replicated to ECC,the item should be deleted totally and the ITEM in CRM should not be affected.
    How can I implement this? Is there any resolution by just make some configuration?

    Hi Jerry,
    As per standard SAP, the line item is not deleted (in ECC) based on the status changes at the line item (in CRM)
    You need to do the development to achieve this.  Following points to be considered if you are doing any custom enhancement.
    1. What triggers the sales order replication ? Is it status change at header level ?  If yes, then you need to define a program which will first check the line item status in CRM Sales Order.
    2. Wherever a line item status is CANCEL, it may store in some internal table and then it will call an RFC to delete these line items in the replicated ECC Sales Order.  (without deleting the line items in CRM Sales Order)
    3. Mind you that, this will be a complex enhancement and may give lot of challenges in the sales order replication to ECC.
    Drawback of this requirement -
    1. If your client prefer to have this scenario, then it is fine, but I could see the data inconsistency in all such sales orders.  There will be a mismatch between the sales order in ECC and CRM
