I took this exam about a year ago.
There is still a great block of questions concerned with the "Basics" of ABAP (Example: Which statements are allowed to modify a sorted itab? INSERT = yes, APPEND = no, because sorting could be violated).
A good knowledge of the basic concepts of ABAP-OO are of course useful. In our exam nothing was asked about Bsp, and only a single question about WebServices.
I can highly recommend the following Weblog by Thomas Jung as (additional) preparation for the exam.

The cut-off is 70% for passing the exam (guess that's true for all SAP exams).
Last remark: one of our junior consultants which had no experience with SAP before (but had a good knowledge of Java) passed the exam (after 3 months preparation) with 82%.

actually SAP Education has some rules.. like if you dont want to attend the training, you need to provide experience certificate certifying 2 years of working exp in the product or something like that. The best place to know that is SAP Education. You can get the mailing link from sap.com --> services --> SAP Education. They can provide you exact details, rules, materials, cost i.e. each information.

SAP Portal Application development & Deployment

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to find a way to customise the top navigation on the Portal (e.g. mahe a hover menu navigation).
The way to do it is to develop a new portal application using NWDS.
I'm struggling to follow any of the samples as they all refer to .PAR files, which is not supported anymore by NWDS 7.1.
What is the right way (and steps) to deploy the SAP Portal application from NWDS to our SAP Portal.

SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.02 SP6 64-bit Developer Version

When I downloaded the "SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.02 SP6 64-bit Developer Version" I only got the Trial Version, so I have a license (from sap.com/minisap) that will expire. Where can I get the Developer Version license?

The trial version is for you to test and evaluate the software. It will expire after 120 (30+90) days. I donu2019t think you can get a permanent license.

Cant find 'SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP & SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP8 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP8 [Developer Edition]'

I have successfull installed and been running 'SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP & SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP5 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP7 [Developer Edition]'
In my CAL-account I have seen that 'SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP & SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP8 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP8 [Developer Edition]' has become available.
Searching 'AWS Marketplace' with 'SAP HANA one' only brings up the version (SP5-7) I already have installed. How am I supposed to proceed to install the latest version (SP8-8)?

It wasn't removed. I and at least one other person reported it as abusive, because it contains just a link. I think after three reports, it's automatically hidden until the moderator rejects it permanently, or releases it. In this case, it was released.
Now, why did I report it? Well, the common view (obviously not shared by the moderator here), is that posts like that
1) Indicate the original poster (in this case you) could have searched for yourself to find the same link
2) Damage the site as a whole, as you end up with just a whole bundle of links from one place to another and no real content
3) Encourage posting of FAQ
My experience is that quite often the link isn't in fact relevant, and is just the result of the first hit of a keyword search using google. In this case it was relevant - but couldn't you have searched and found it yourself?

Error in webdynpro(ABAP) application development

Hi,
I am very new in webdynpro (ABAP) application development. I want to create some application based on webdynpro ABAP for few Z- Report. What is the prerequisite to develop a application based on webdynpro( ABAP ) .Because when I am trying to create application in se80 and giving the related functional model name in wedynpro component field , I am getting the error like Web Dynpro Comp./Intf. ZOS_xxx_FM does not exist. How to proceed further?

SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.03 64-bit Trial - License

I have recently download the SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.03 64-bit Trial version for use on Windows Server 2008R2. I went to get a license key and noticed this was only a 90 day license. Is it possible to extend the licensing out to longer than 90 days?
If so, could you please provide pricing options for that? If not, can I continue to request 90 day licenses for use after each license term expires? I'm new to SAP and ABAP and I'm trying to train for development and feel it will take more than the alotted 90 days.

I have a running Instance of SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP & SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP8 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP8.
Here I have the minisap Licence of A4H.
When I get the Licence of ERP - do I have a fully ERP System on HANA ?
Or do I need a new Instance?

even if you or your company have an SAP license for ERP, you are legally not allowed to install the license key into the free offering it because you have accepted the terms and conditions of the trial/developer version.
If you want to use your own licenses, you would need to switch to the BYOL model where you bring in the license. For that you would need to purchase the SAP Cloud Appliance Library subscription. You get more details here (CAL FAQ - Business related questions ). To purchase the SAP Cloud Appliance Library subscription you would need to select the "Unlock full library" link on the top right corner of the Subscriptions screen on http://cal.sap.com.

I am using mac . i have noticed that in SDN we can download SAP Netweaver application server ABAP 7.02 SP6 32 Bit trail version.
But all the details specified out there is only for windows os.Do we have options for mac here ??

Since there does not exist any ABAP-Server Version for Mac (never has and most likely never will be) - only 64bit operating systems for suited for large server (WinXP-32 is one exception for Development purposes)
The only option for you is some sort of virtual machine.

Can you please provide clarification regarding the pre-requisite certification/s required for the certification-E_HANAAW142- SAP Certified Development Specialist - ABAP for SAP HANA (Edition 2014). The following is the pre-requisites' description from the offical webpage of E_HANAAW142 certification.
This certification is issued to candidates who successfully pass the certification exam for the "SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver" (C_TAW12_70, C_TAW12_71, C_TAW12_731, P_ABAP_70).
