SAP Portal for PSCD transactions ...

Hi, I want know if Can I implement SAP Portal for PSCD transactions? ........ I would like run some PSCD transactions from web browser and offer an Internet portal for many tax payers.
regards.

Well Jose,
There are different ways to access PSCD data and show it in Portal... for instance... you can give access to the Tx FPL9 through the Taxpayer Online Services (TPOS) portal. Ask your BASIS and EP guys to activate TPOS and create users for the taxpayers... remember that you'll need to buy extra licences for all the taxpayers you're willing to offer this service.

  • WebDynpro with embedded SAP GUI for HTML transaction

    Hello,
I have been given a requirement for a WebDynpro application that will have some links and figures at the top and underneath that there will be a SAP GUI for HTML transaction visible. What is the best method for handling this type of scenario? This is a 7.0 portal connecting to ECC 5.0 on the back-end.
    Thanks,
    Bert

    Hello Bert,
I would have implemented your scenario in following way:
    1. Create a transaction iView in portal using SAP GUI for HTML.
    2. In the web dynpro application, you have multiple choices to use the transaction iview created in above step.
             a. Use a IFrame UI element giving it the portal based url for the transaction iview
             b. Use POrtal Navigation API to navigate to the transaction iview.
             WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute(
             "ROLES://portal_content/com.sap.PageNavigationProject/com.sap.TargetPage",
                WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE,
                (String) null,
                (String) null,
                WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.NO_DUPLICATIONS,
                (String) null,
                (String) null,
                [<url params>]
    Hope this helps you.

  • Do we need to install SAP Portal for implementation of ESS & MSS

    Hi All,
We are implementing SAP (ECC 6.0) for one of our client, Due to some contractual limitations, we do not want to implement SAP portal though it is a part of standard delivery, I want to know that is it absolutely necessary to install and implement SAP portal for implementation of ESS & MSS.
What i know and understand is that with the new architecture ESS & MSS can be deployed and accessed as a stand alone application on an internet browser by (Web dynpro client) without any need of enterprise portal. While ESS & MSS application can be hosted on Web application server.
Please validate my understanding if it is correct, Also does the new Web dynpro based client support all the functionality and authorization related issues for ESS & MSS ??
    Regards
    Amit Ajmera

    Hi Amit,
Yes, you can run ESS/MSS as WebDynpro application without having to deploy on Portal. However, the look and feel and user accessibility is much better when deployed as Portal page. For WebDynpro, you will still need to publish the individual URL link to application somewhere...
Another point is that on portal you can deploy standard Business package specific to ESS and MSS which contains lots of readymade iviews/page/roles etc so it can reduce your development cost dramatically.
But, at the end it all depends on your individual requirement and project scope.
    Cheers !!

  • Image not displaying properly for SAP GUI for HTML transaction iview

    Hi,
We have a sap gui for HTML iview for transaction REORRR in portal. After giving enough inputs this leads to Business Document Navigator screen(part of Document management) where i need to display a document(.jpg image in this scenario). When i double click on the image it is opening on the right side of the screen but in a compressed format where in we need to scroll down to see the image. But i would require the image to display with out scroll bar or in a new window.
When i change the format of the iview as SAP GUI for Windows the image is opening in a new window.
I would like to know whether there is any configaration settings either in portal or in Document management side. or is this any limitation of the SAP GUI for HTML scenario.
    regards
    Bharat.

    Hi,
You can open this iview in a new window make the setting in the iview properties that will allow the iview to be opend in a new window.

  • External SAP Portal for Bidders in SRM 7.0

    Hi All
In the strategic sourcing Business Scenario, we need to enable the bidders to submit their bids from outside the network firewall.
    Some questions in this regard:
    1) Should we have a separate portal for the bidders ( from the one used by the employees inside the firewall) for security
purpose?? Earlier I had seen a different URL for SAP enterprise portal for external vendors at a client place. However not sure if it is a single Portal instance or two separate ones.
    2) Do we need to install a SAP Web dispatcher in the DMZ as suggested by SAP in the SRM 7.0 security guide for the external portal? Could we simply make the Enterprise portal available outside without setting up the DMZ
    3) Since portal is role based, the suppliers won't be able to access anything else, then the process bids screen. What are the other security concerns if the same portal is shared between employees and suppliers?
    Regards
    Kedar

    Hi
Bidding always happens in your SRM System, although External partners execute that activity. It really depends on your security policies whether you want to give them http or https access...

  • R/3 Secure Store and Forward, while using SAP portal for SSO

    Hello,
We are using SAP Portal UME for authentication, then SAP SSO tickets to log into the SAP R/3 system.  Initially we decided that the end users would have a "disabled password" so that they must use the portal authentication mechanism to get into R/3 and therefore could not log in straight to R/3 system via SAP GUI.
All was working fine until during integration testing when someone tried to use the electronic signature function on a QM t-code (QA11) that prompted for an e-sig.  Since local passwords have been disabled, the user could not execute the e-sig.
We do not want to activate local R/3 passwords for the users.  Can anyone give some advice or a best practice regarding how to set up electronic sigs in R/3 while using an external authentication source? FYI, we are also trying to avoid using the LDAP connector from R/3 to our LDAP.
Please comment for any clarity needed or comments,
    Thanks in advance,
    Ryan

Good point - but I'm afraid of not knowning an instant answer.
Well, theoretically one could make use of the fact that an NWAS ABAP can act as http client (submitting http requests to the NWAS Java to validate logon data); but that's just a rough idea.

Is it possible to obtain a SAP Portal to use with the download of CE trial from SDN?

    Hi Ross
CE7.1 is Java stack only. you can connect to existing ABAP stack
You can install ABAP trial version NSP and connect from CE7.1. NSP will allow to develop ABAP including ABAP Web Dynpro applications.

  • SAP recommendations for locking transactions

    Hi, Sappers.
I recall seeing a document a while back that had a list of "sensitive" or "critical" transactions that were "recommended" to be locked at the customer in accordance with SOX or audit compliance.
I asked an external audit company about this list and the response was that this list/document was an SAP document - around general "good practices" in security.
Does anyone know where or how I can get hold of that document, or something similar please? I am currently at a customer who is looking for some guidance in this area.

    <u>Notes from Customer:</u>
    Issue:
The implementation of SAP has inundated the plants with a large number of transactions they did not have to perform previously.  No resources have been added to help support this additional day to day transaction load.
    Applications:
Active Ingredients Processing, PP, QM, SD
    Primary Transactions:
Plan Production (MD01, MD04, MD06), Post Production (COR1/CORK & MFBF), Results recording (QE51n), Post Goods Issue & Post Goods Receipt (MIGO), Create PO & STO to Purchase Raw Mtls (ME21n), Create Deliveries (VL02n), ), Clear Backlog (COGI & MF47).  Custom transactions for the following:  MIGO 309 & 311 (ZMIGO), Expected Shipments (ZMM003) & Expected Receipts (ZMM004), Delivery Status (ZMM007), Goods Movement Report (ZPP001).
    Background:
Prior to SAP production personnel had very few system transactions they were responsible for.  Many plants had outmoded computers and poor network connections. The PC skill level varied tremendously from e-mail only capability to superuser.  Each plant had their own manual process for tracking inventory, production planning, production recording, shipping, etc.  Raw mtl ordering was done via phone call releases against blanket orders.  Customer Orders simply showed up on the fax machine and were dealt with as time permitted.  Any changes were communicated via phone or refax of change order.  The only “system data entry” was the PGI of shipments which required only 4 or 5 pieces of information.  This was done on a daily basis with relative ease since negative inventory was allowed.
    Description:
The advent of SAP brought an upgrade to the hardware, software, network connections, and required a large increase in the average PC skill level.  In addition, the plants have taken on a huge transaction burden compared to pre-SAP and are struggling to perform all of their required daily tasks (run plants and produce & ship product) and in addition execute all of the required transactions.  The larger plants have bigger staffs and can better distribute and absorb some of this load, but the smaller plants have been hit the hardest.

    Hi Nilesh,
Depending on the Scenario you need to decide what BAPI you will use. what solution are you excepting?

  • Changing Expense types in the SAP Portal for Credit Card Receipts

    Hi Experts,
We have a situation where we load a credit card file to SAP. The employee will then go review and subsequently send the expense claim to accounting. This is done via the SAP NetWeaver  Portal. Quite often the credit card company will send over details to an expense type called 'other' this was created to ensure that the credit card file loads.  It is the employee's responsibility to change the expense type from 'other' to the appropriate expense type.
what is desired is to provide the user with an error message in the portal and PR05 that will enforce the user to change the expense type from 'other' to a more appropriate expense type.
    How can this be accomplished?

    Hello Martin,
You can use a User Exit for this.
In Web Portal, you can use the BADI TRIP_WEB_CHECK on which you can use the method USER_CHECK_LINE_OF_RECEIPTS.
In PR05, you can use the Enhancement name: FITR0003: User Exit: Save Trip (PR01, PR04, PR05, TRIP) - before assigning trip number. It is the User Exit EXIT_SAPMP56T_002.
This will check your receipt before saving.

  • WebDynpro proxy page with Webdynpro iView and SAP Gui for html iView

    Hello,
I have a requirement to have a page that has at the top of it a webdynpro for java iView screen with several links that when pressed pop-up various data pulled from the back-end. This part is fine and presents no problem. Beneath this the requirement calls for a SAP Gui for HTML iView to be displayed. Which is no problem either. The problem occurs when one of the links in the java webdynpro application at the top of the screen is pressed it causes the SAP Gui for HTML portion to refresh and come back to the beginning. So for example you first navigate to this screen and you go into the sap gui for html portion and drill into 2 or 3 screens in the sap gui for html transaction. If you then press one of the webdynpro links the sap gui for html (which is a separate iView) refreshes and you are taken back to the initial screen. This only occurs when using a web dynpro proxy page. If I use a standard page the SAP Gi for html does not refresh. Unfortunately there are other things not mentioned here that require us to use the webdynpro proxy page.
    Any help is greatly appreciated,
    Bert

Use System admin -> System Config and find your system in the PCD (under portal content). Right click and open -> permissions. Find a user or group or role and give it the end user permission. I'd suggest the group Everyone.

  • SAP Logo/Title Bar (SAP GUI for HTML)

    Hello all,
Anyone know how to disable the SAP logo/title bar that appears via an SAP GUI for HTML transaction (ie. PZ56)?  I'm trying to get the transaction to show in the Portal using the SAP Transaction iView, but it displays this SAP title bar with the SAP logo which I don't want.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    hi Mike ,
this can be done using the Configuration.
Go to transaction SICF and see the webgui internet service .
in that , you will have a button called GUI CONFIGURATION
and then, you insert another parameter caller ~noHeaderOKCode to 1 which will solve your problem.
    Hope this helps...
    Take care

  • Webdynpro ABAP content authorization object in SAP portal ?

    Hi
We are on EHP 6.06 , we have an authorization problem in sap portal for the webdynpro abap content. our standart users got the error "page can not be found" for the services provided from webdynpro abap. when I assign the user to administrator group in sap portal the services working fine. I also checked the SAP ERP roles no problem is there.  I guess I should create a new portal role for them cause its the only difference between users who can reach or not but have no idea what to put in it in SAP portal. Any idea ?

in portal content directory => double click on the Content provided by sap folder. Than you should have a dropdown somewhere where you can select "Authorizations". You should add the group endusers and check the checkbox.
