SAP Web Intellegence's Input Control(Calendar) VS Rich Client's Input Control(Calendar)

SAP Web Intellegence's Input Control(Calendar) VS sap Rich Client's Input Control(Calendar)
Hello everyone !
I need your help.
I configurated Intput Controls ( Calendar).
but,
Web Intellegence's Input Control(Calendar) and Rich Client's Input Control(Calendar) are differ.
date's format is differ
two Input controls's configuration is same
most of all, Rich Client Input Controls is properly executed.
so, I want to change Web Intellegence's Input Control format to Rich Client's Input Control format.
Rich Client Input Controls
web Intelligence Input Controls

If Your Day is String
Convert it to Date and then filter .
Filter_Date = Todate([Your_Date];"yyyy/MM/dd")
Else Try this .
Create Variable for Date .
Date_Var = Todate(FormatDate([Your_date];"MM/dd/yyyy");"MM/dd/yyyy")
Create Input Control on this date .
Also use this date in your report for filter mapping.

  • Cannot see data in SAP.Web.UI.Controls.Table

Hi,I have created a portal project and dragged a sap table into the design area. then i call a webservice and bind the resulting dataset to the table. the dataset seems to bind, since i can see there are the right number of pages in the table, but i cannot see any of the data. all the rows are blank. am i treating the ascx file correctly? i deploy and browse to test it.

    Hi,
The problem is that the SAP table doesn't support this kind of "dynamic binding" at the moment. The SAP table can contain any one of several controls in each cell, and these controls have several possible properties to bind to. So currently you have to "tell" the table what you want to bind to.
    You have several options:
    1. The easiest option, if you can create a typed dataset in design-time, according to what your webservice returns, then do that... and then put an instance of it on your portal component, and bind your table to that typed dataset (using the designer property grid). This should create a default ItemTemplate with all textViews in the cells, and the texts will be bound to the columns.
    2. Write code in ItemCreated Event handler of the table. This event will be raised for each row in the DS. There you can tell the cells to get the data from the content. Remember that you'd have to create the cells according to the number of columns and set the content of each cell to be what control you want (like TextView) and then fill the properties of that control.
    3. If you know the Data structure, but don't want to or can't create a typed DataSet - First define the columns using the designer (right click the table, select "edit columns"). Then in the event handler (from "2") just set the property "text" of each TextView which is in the content of each cell (use the Cell's property "TableCellContent" to get to the TextView control)
    4. Don't use databinding and create the table contents completely manually (See here -
How to modify cells in a table?)
One last thing, here's a link to some more explanations about DataBinding in SAP controls:
    https://media.sdn.sap.com/html/submitted_docs/PDK_for_dotNET_10/Programming%20with%20PDK%20for%20.NET/SAP%20NetWeaver%20.NET%20Controls/Data%20Binding/Complex%20Data%20Binding.htm
If you choose a solution and need more help, just ask.

    Please suggest me some solution.
    Thanks
    sandeep

    Dear all,
my issue is resolved.I solved my issue myself
solution: SAP sends HTTP request in the form of URL like
    http://serverip:port/GET /Default.aspx?serverInfo&pVersion=0045&contRep=FD HTTP/1.0
Now your response should contain string  contRep="FD"
dont forget double quotes on repository name coz SAP program matches string with double quotes. if you will return value like this contRep=FD
    this will through error.
    Thanks

  • "SSO" for non-sap web application using SAPGUI to browse?

I have a web application (non SAP) and the user base are also SAP users in an ABAP system.
To strengthen the authentication in the web app, I wanted to implement SSO
authentication as we pity the users for having to remember so many strong pw's and I
dont like LDAP based pw sync or other technology I dont understand, because then we are
just yet another application with the same pw...
We are having technical problems implementing SSO on the web app side, and are anyway a
bit sceptical about the user admin / role admin assignment if we get it to work.
So I have created a transaction in SAP which browses the web app and the intention is to
send the SAP sy-uname as the web app user. We can control this using s_tcode, and
an own auth object on the WAS side and a check on the session type before the connection is
established. In this sense we are dependent on the SAP concept implemented, but even so:
The role assignment is controlled in the web app itself -> so assume that I am not overly
worried about unauthorized access to the web application, as they would not have any
system role for it as their sy-uname does not exist. (Infact we can monitor this)
The browser on the front end is the SAPGUI with html controls on the SAP side.
I would be interested in knowing whether anyone else has experience with this approach, and
whether there are any areas to be carefull of?
I would also like to know whether this is a strategic error?
    Kind regards,
    Julius

    Hi Julius,
well, if that web application would run on the same ABAP backend system then the solution described in <a href="http://service.sap.com/~iron/fm/011000358700000431401997E/0612670">SAP Note 612670</a> would be applicable:
a so-called "Re-entrance ticket" (based on the "SAP logon ticket" SSO proceedings) is issued, transported via the SAPGUI connection and back to the system via the invoked HTML control.
But for non-SAP web applications that does not help.
In that case only X.509 client certificates can be used for SSO. Actually, the web application could then also be invoked directly (independent from the SAPGUI session). The user is authenticated based on the X.509 client certificate - and not based on the ABAP userID (of the SAPGUI session).
Well, if you don't mind the effort you could also use the "SAP Logon Ticket evaluation library" (sapssoext, see <a href="http://service.sap.com/~iron/fm/011000358700000431401997E/0304450">SAP Note 304450</a>) to evalute the SAP logon ticket externally. You'll then need to have a "stub application" at the ABAP side that triggers the http redirect to your external web application. Not a nice solution but a possible one.
In the future SAML browser artifacts would be an option (preferable to integrate non-SAP applications). But currently that's not available (for NWAS ABAP).
    Cheers, Wolfgang

  • SAP Web Repository, how can acess it from outside

    I'm reading this http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm40/helpdata/en/14/030fc5b63f11d5993900508b6b8b11/content.htm
    and it says this:
"You use a Web repository (manager) to provide read access to documents stored on remote Web servers."
This could be really useful to me, but how does this work? I'm able to add objects to it using the transaction SMW0 but how can I get a valid url so that the users in my network can acess these files.
the only FM I know is 'DP_PUBLISH_WWW_URL' but this generates a kind of links that my browser can't process (something like SAPR3://WebRepository/0123456789/ZMY_FILE?Version=00001")
How can I do to create valid links to these documents, so that I can open them im my web browser??

though they have the same name, they are different! The SAP library you mention is about Knowledge Management.
If you want to generate an external URL for the Web Repository (SMW0), first read Note 865853 - WebReporting/WebRFC obsolete as of NW2004s. I don't know your SAP release, but if you are on a 7.0, you need to "release for internet" WWW_GET_MIME_OBJECT function module via SMW0, and probably activate /sap/bc/webrfc service using SICF transaction. Then you'll be able to access your ZZZZZ web document using URL like this: http://youserver:port/sap/bc/webrfc/!?_function=WWW_GET_MIME_OBJECT&_object_id=ZZZZZ&client=220&language=EN
Note: DP is only for allowing the HTML browser (and other SAPGUI controls) to access objects transmitted from SAP to the SAPGUI using the Data Provider service.

  • Web Service for moving docs from SAP Web AS to SharePoint

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement for moving the documents from SAP WebAS to Microsoft SPS through a Web Service.
Can you please guide me on how to go ahead with this requirement.
    Waiting for your inputs.

Do you mean documents like PDFs. MS Word files, etc?
If so, where are they originally located? Is the Portal pointing to a WebDAV file system, shared location?

  • Portal theme not picked for SAP Web Dynpro Iview

    Hi,
We have used light framework page for our portal and all the iviews display the content within the iviews in the same set of colors (blue for buttons). However, for a WD java content, I have created an SAP Web Dynpro iView and the contents displayed here appear in the SAP colors without picking those set for the portal.
The same application parameters display the portal colors when we use the Web Dynpro Proxy iview.
Any idea how I can make the SAP Web Dynpro iView appear like the other portal iviews?
Note: The stylesheet property for the iview is already entered (ur), and I have also set the 'Supply Portal stylesheet' property to 'Yes'.
    Please provide your inputs.
    Thanks,
    Vinay

    Hi ,
In ABAP Webdynpro for similar problem we used WDFORCEEXTERNAL Sheet property of WDA.
The Web Dynpro framework automatically compares the versions of the portal and Web Dynpro
for ABAP style sheets. If the Web Dynpro for ABAP has a newer version, the WDA style sheet is used. This avoids unattractive rendering and JavaScript errors. You can deactivate this behavior again using the WDFORCEEXTERNALSTYLESHEET application parameter of WDA.See also SAP Notes 1033496 .
If you use the stylesheet of the portal to display the application, the rendering may not appear correctly and Javascript errors can occur(If portal style sheet is lower than WD).
Though Iam not familiar with WD java , the property force portal style sheet in WD java application should be enough to make WD accept portal theme.

  • Web Dynpro UI Vs SAP Web UI

I have been trying to understand this but don't see enough material on this topic.
As we know, we can always go for SAP Web UI (Web version of SAP GUI) to web enable SAP Transactions. I would like to know what are the specific advantages and differences between standard SAP Web UI and Web Dynpro UI approach.
I guess, we can share our own experiences and thoughts on this and may be we can reach on some conclusion.

  • Business Object on SAP Web Application server.

    Experts,
Can Business Objects be installed on SAP Web Application Server?
    Any Help is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Yashu Raj

    Matt,
    Thanks for your input.
I found this information on SDN
Can Business Object Enterprise Web Tier be deployed on SAP NetWeaver system with usage type AS Java?"Yes, this is supported for Java 1.4 (NW 7.0), see http://support.businessobjects.com/documentation/supported_platforms/default.asp
However, the BOE Web Tier is not shipped with SAP NetWeaver, but can be deployed on an SAP NetWeaver system with usage type AS Java at customer side.
SAP is evaluating if we could ship the Busines Object Enterprise Web Tier with SAP NetWeaver in the future but that cannot be confirmed yet.
Still, in this scenario, the Busines Object Enterprise backend server would need to be installed as a separate server."
Can the Busines Object Enterprise backend server be deployed on an SAP NetWeaver system with usage type AS Java?
"No, as this is not a J2EE application, but a mix of Java and C++.
SAP is evaluating if the Busines Object Enterprise backend server could be shipped as a ""Standalone engine"" (as it is the case for BIA and Livecache
Can the whole or at least relevant parts of the whole Busines Object Enterprise be deployed to the NetWeaver J2EE server, so that distinct scenarios for Busines Object applications run without the need to install a separate Busines Object Enterprise backend server?
This scenario is currently planned for the next generation Analysis Client (Project: Pioneer) and evaluated for the Java based Crystal Version.
I am trying to understand the difference between BOE Web Tier and Busines Object Enterprise backend server....can you throw some light on it if you can.
I am a SAP BI consultant and one of my customers have this question on BOBJ. Any help will be appreciated.

  • Possible ways to start SAP Web AS services

I am using J2EE SAP Web AS 7.0 on UNIX platform and herein i use startsap script to start SAP as well as database services. My concern here is that what all are the possible ways to start the SAP services apart from the above mentioned script? One i could figure out is to run all the commands in the script one by one, though does not make sense if the script is already available
Reason for asking above question is that i want to set an environment variable whenever SAP Engine starts up. And, if i embed this line in startsap script it would solve my purpose but if there is any other way also to start SAP services, then i have to cover those use cases also. So, please provide your suggestions for my requirement.
    Thanks

Thanks for your input and it looks like adding an environment variable in startsap script is not a good option.
My requirement is that my SDA file has dependecy on some third party dll's and at the time of starting SAP Web AS, this dll path should be available at the beginning of LIBPATH variable. So, please let me know if some fix is available for my requirement.
Also, i have discoverd that SAP profile (located at /usr/sap/<SID>/profile/START_JC<SID>_<machine name>) has the required parameters( LIBPATH, etc) and if i add my dll path in these environment variables, i am able to load my dll at the SAP starting time. Here my questions are:
    1. Is it fine to make changes in this profile file?
    2. Would my changes be overwritten if the kernel upgrade happens?
    3. If i start SAP using MMC (suggested by you), still this profile file be read for starting SAP Web AS and the dll's would be loaded?
Apart from this i tried out using "There is a java version as well, which can be started from a browser:
http://<hostname>:5<instance number>13" which internally uses MC. Here if i try starting SAP WebAS, it prompts for user name and password. I tried out <SID>adm user, J2EE Administrator user and machine root user but all these options were ruled out by the Authentication module. Can you please suggest which user name should i try to stop/start SAP using MMC?
    Thanks

  • Download IDOC structure from SAP web Site

    HI
to anticipate the SAP ERp upgrade, i would like to download the most up to date Idoc structure (for ADRMAS and DEBMAS) . Instead of download this structure from an SAP Instance , i would like to download it from SAP Web site.
Does anybody already do that ?
    How can i proceed
    regards
    fred

    Hi Siva
Thanks for your input. I Know and i did that from a couple of years , neverthelss, each time you upgarde your system, you have to rewrite your development. My goal is to try to anticipate that by for exemple download the IDOC structure in advance . Let me say IDOC structure used by MySAP ERp 2007 instaed of SAP ERP 4.6. If i can download those STructure i will not be obliged to rewrite my Dev after each upgrade. Do you see what i mean ?

  • Serialization error in SAP Web Service.

    Hi all,
I have exposed a custom RFC as a Web Service. This is a simple web service that returns Customer Data (from kna1) based on the Customer ID which we provide as input.
In the RFC, I have declared an internal table (G_RET) in the tables section of the RFC.
Now, while testing the web service, I can see a check box with NULL option beside the G_RET. If i check the NULL option for G_RET, I get an error.
XML Serialization Error. Array Property [Item] in class [none] must not have NULL elements. This is restricted by schema description.
This is a high priority task. Please reply to me with any solution that you may have.
    Regards,
    Preksha.

Your problem has nothing to do with SAP web service. When you expose a RFC function as a web service, you are defining a service contract using WSDL technologies and XML message format enforced by the schema definition associated with the data source.
When a system consume a web service it is upto that system to provide a client framework so that it can provide an implementation enforces by the WSDL contract. Contract terms in WSDL is only applicable to data types, message types, access style and ecoding.
It is upto the client framework to provide a mechanism to send and receive the data as per the contract.
In your case, you are using a Microsoft client, so MS implementation of web service technology play a big role here.
C# XML serialization class from the MS client program you are using to call the program, read the WSDL contract and try to understand the definition and terms and conditions of the messages, types, binding.
In your WSDL you may have constraints applied at each field level of the schemas associated with the input and output messages of the web service methods.
Unfortunatly the way C# XML serialization class understand the terms and condition is confusing and it create a rum time error.
Having said this all stories now let us get into practical way.
    1. Test ur web service using a non MS client
    2. Make sure it is working, this isolate your issues to the way client understanding the WSDL contracts.
    3. Then work with some MS guys in your shop to address this issue.
From your post I hope you are a candidate having experience in working with SAP customization project. However when ever you deal with open technologies such as JAVA, Web Services, it is highly recomended to think outside the BUNN.
AS SAP move towards more open technologies such as JAVA, WSDL, SOAP, WS, XML, XSD it is very important to elaborate your knowledge beyond the scope of a customization project.
    Thanks

From the iSaSiLk everything seems to be OK, but on the SAP WebAS the error "none of the PSEs registered with hSsl can suffice the negotiated SSL cipher suite" is really unclear, since the cipher chosen by the iSaSiLk is one of the ciphers sent by SAP WebAS...
Can anyone give me any suggestion?

    Hello Olivier,
    Thanks for your answer.
I've implemented note 800240 which facilitates the PSE analysis by implementing the report ZSSF_TEST_PSE. With this report I'm able to check all the PSE content, which are:
    Filename            SAPSSLSPHTID.pse
    PIN                 <no>
    Signature           X
    Encryption          X
    Profile Parameter
    DIR_INSTANCE                   /usr/sap/XID/DVEBMGS00                       /usr/sap/XID/D00
    sec/dsakeylengthdefault                                                     1024
    sec/libsapsecu                 /usr/sap/XID/SYS/exe/run/libsapcrypto.so
    sec/rsakeylengthdefault                                                     1024
    ssf/name                       SAPSECULIB
    ssf/ssf_md_alg                                                              SHA1
    ssf/ssf_symencr_alg                                                         DES-CBC

    ssf2/ssfapi_lib
    ssf3/name
    ssf3/ssf_md_alg                                                             SHA1
    ssf3/ssf_symencr_alg                                                        DES-CBC
    ssf3/ssfapi_lib
    Environment variables
    USER                xidadm
    SECUDIR             /usr/sap/XID/DVEBMGS00/sec
    PSE
    Validity            18.12.2008 19:47:04   18.12.2009 19:47:04
    Algorithm           RSA (OID 1.2.840.113549.1.1.1)
    Test signature
    Signature OK

    Decryption OK
As you can see, the cipher algorithm used is RSA. Any suggestion... ?
An iSaSiLk server "is a Java programming language implementation of the SSLv2 (client-side), SSLv3, TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 protocols. It supports all defined cipher suites (except for Fortezza), including all AES and PSK cipher suites. iSaSiLk implements all standard TLS extensions, comes with an easy to use API and operates on top of the IAIK-JCE Javau2122 Cryptography Extension. iSaSiLk is highly configurable and will work with any alternative JCE implementation supported by a proper provider for supplying the required cryptographic algorithms".
Once again thanks for your answer.

How to change the default operators in sap web ui Search screen?
For eg. Using advance search option , I have some fields with default operators like equals, contains,is between, is less than and is greater than. I don't need all these operators for this field.
I need only "equals" operator. How do i remove the rest of the operators?

There is a view cluster crmvc_dq where all the standard setting is present related to you r issue. Please try if you can modify that, that way you will avoid the code.
Incase you are not able to make any changes there then in that case you have to redefine the method GET_DQUERY_DEFINITION () of the IMPL class to delete the operators for a particular serach field.
