Save 3d plot to excel as an image

I am in the report phase of the project and would like to be able to save a 3D plot image (not the data) to an Excel spreadsheet. Any ideas? (The Print.Vi Invoke Node function methods for the front pane are not available in the RTE.)
Solved!

If you are using the CW 3D graph then see this thrad on how to insert the graph as an activeX object into PP which should also work with Excel.
If not the CW 3D graph then ... I have not suggestions.

  • How to save a picture from Excel

Who nows as to save to HD a picture from excel. A picture in excel is small. It is necessary to save a picture with the present sizes

Who nows as to save to HD a picture from excel. Excel?
    A
picture in excel is small. You mean data size? I doubt you know what you are talking about.
It is necessary to save a
picture with the present sizesGood luck with that. I am sure it is embedded as some OLE crap and that's why you think it is small (because the data isn't actually embedded in the sheet).
But seriously.. good luck... sounds like a real whiz-bang of a project. Lord knows I have often wished to use Excel as a image database ?!?

  • How can I save the plot on Graph control to disk like the plot on Picture.vi ?

    Dear all
I have a question about saving the plot on graph control.
In Labview, there is two way to make a plot, using graph control (eg. waveform control ,wavechart control) and Picture.vi (eg. plot XY vi and plot waveform VI ) ,
but for Picture.VI  there is some control  for saving them to disk (eg. write jpeg file.vi or write bmp file.vi )
My question is that may I save the plot display in graph control to disk using some vi like saving Picture to disk.
I only know we only can right clicking and export implified image to save the plot on graphic plot?
What want is save the plot on graphic control without interface and save to disk directly?
    many thanks!

RIght-click on your graph and select:
Create...Invoke Node and select method "export image". Wire the desired inputs and place it inside a case structure to be activated by e.g. a button.

  • How can i control what images load on my project to save preload time and avoid loading all images, elements, divs not yet visible?

    Sup buddies,
How can I control what images load on my project to save preload time and avoid loading all images, elements, divs not yet visible?
As the project grows in size the load time increases. How does one control not loading all images ,divs, elements etc. until they're
needed on the timeline? For example some sections are off and only become visible when recalled. My projects slowly grow in size so loading
all images , is counter productive . My other option would be to create separate htmls but that breaks the seamless user experience .

quote: "Is there an easy way to burn a completed project to DVD, but keep only the (lo res, lo size) previews on my hard drive?"
    yes.
    maybe,...
    1. you might think of making DVD backups first prior to importing the photos into Aperture. "Store Files: In their current location" once in Aperture make low rez Previews, and export finished Project.
    or,
    2. bring in the photographs to hard drive first prior to importing the photos into Aperture. "Store Files: In their current location" once in Aperture make low rez Previews, and export finished Project.
the low rez Previews will stay in Aperture but the high quality Versions will be exported onto DVDs and gone from the hard drive (if you delete the originals).
another way would be to export small about 50-70 pixel wide high quality jpegs to a folder on your Desktop and import & keep these in Aperture Library as a reference. make metadata to show where the original Project DVDs are stored and DVD filing system used.

  • When trying to save a file under Excel 2008, ver 12.3.3, with extension .xlsx or .xlx, I am told it can't be saved because it is "read only." How do I change the file from read only?

When I try to save a file using Excel 2008, ver 12.3.3, with extension either .xlsx or .xls, I get a message saying it cannot be saved because it is "read only." How do I change it from read only? (And how did it ever get to be read only?)

Save the file as a new name. Close and Open the new file.
Most likely when a file transfer happens, Office makes the file 'Read Only'.
If you have two opened files with the same name, the last opened file will be 'Read Only'.

  • Save for Web... and grayscale images

I noticed a strange behavior when I use "Save for Web and Devices" on scanned BW negatives...
I import the negatives via the scanner's twain driver in Photoshop as 16bit grayscale images. My grayscale working space is normally set to the default DotGain 20% profile. When I want to show these images on the web, I use "Save for Web and Devices..." and I have selected the convert to sRGB option. For some reason, the "embed color profile" option is disabled (grayed out) when the document is in grayscale mode.
When I view the the exported image (in a color managed application or browser) it looks too dark and shadow detail is lost. Examining the file info shows that the JPG file is in RGB color space and has the sRGB profile assigned.
When I convert the image to RGB mode before I do save for web... the exported image will look exactly like it looked in Photoshop. Also, the mode change doesn't cause a change in appearance. Also, after changing to RGB, the "embed color profile" option in save for web... becomes enabled.
I experimented with other working color spaces and noticed that an image exported from a grayscale image in "GrayGamma 2.2" working color space will display almost like an image that was exported from a grayscale image converted to RGB.
I would like to understand this behavior and whether it is correct. My assumption would be that a conversion to sRGB during the export should yield the same result like a manual conversion of the image in photoshop but for some reason the results are quite different.
How can I export my grayscale images to sRGB JPG without having to convert to RGB manually while preserving the tonality from the original image?
I have attached an image which I hope might illustrate the effect I'm describing. The crop on left hand side looks as expected and is the result of exporting from an image that was converted from grayscale to RGB mode (sRGB working space) before using save for web...
The image in the middle is the result from converting to GrayGamma 2.2 color space but leaving the image in grayscale mode before saving for web and devices. It is almost identical to the crop on the left. The crop on the right hand side is the result of using save for web and devices from the original image in grayscale mode with the default DotGain 20% profile.
    Thanks
    /lars

  • I need a code to be able to save my form to excel with a save button????

This is the codes very simple right now but i can not get a code or understanding of what to put for the import part or Dim file path. The excel sheet i have saved in C:\connecttoexcel\ but do have the exact code needed.
    Public Class Mesquite

Private Sub TextBox1_TextChanged(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles TextBox1.TextChanged
            IsNumeric(TextBox1.Text)
        End Sub
Private Sub Button1_Click(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
        End Sub
Private Sub TextBox2_TextChanged(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles TextBox2.TextChanged
            TimeValue(TimeOfDay)
        End Sub
    End Class

I'm sorry but there isn't enough information here to help you.  You can't "save a form to Excel"... you could copy data from the Form's controls into an Excel spreadsheet, but it doesn't make sense to "save a form".  There's
also no indication of how you want to interface with Excel... will there always be a version of Excel installed on the computer running your program?  If so, what versions of Excel do you need to target?  What version of Visual Studio are you using?
What Windows OS will you be targeting?
Please explain what you are trying to do in greater detail, answering not just the questions above, but also providing a detailed description of what you are trying to achieve.

  • Open text files & save as worksheets in excel with Automator?

    hi,
i'm an Automator newbie and i'll admit upfront i don't know apple script. i have a bunch of text files that i'd like to open in excel. the basic actions would be to tell excel to look for 'all documents' and to open as space delimited. then i want to save the files as excel spreadsheets rather than txt files.
i assume i need to use some combination of applescript and automator to do this, but i don't even know where to start. it seems this is something simple someone might have already written a script/action for. is there a repository of such things anywhere? if not, does anyone want to help me through the process of creating such an action?
    thanks,
    jill

    jill,
    Here is a solution.
Create an Automator workflow with the following actions:
    1) Get Specified Finder Items (specify the folder containing your space delimited text files)
    2) Get Folder Contents
    3) Run AppleScript (delete all of the text in the action, click on the link below which will put the AppleScript into Script Editor, select the whole thing, copy it to the Clipboard, paste it into the action)
    click here to open this script in your editor<pre style="font-family: 'Monaco', 'Courier New', Courier, monospace; overflow:auto; color: #222; background: #DDD; padding: 0.2em; font-size: 10px; width:400px">on run {input, parameters}
    repeat with aTextFile in input
set theTextFilePath to aTextFile as string
    tell application "Microsoft Excel"
open text file filename theTextFilePath data type delimited with space
    set theWorkbook to last workbook
set thePath to path of last workbook
set theOriginalWorkbookName to name of last workbook
set theNewWorkbookName to ((characters 1 through -5 of theOriginalWorkbookName) as string) & ".xls"
set theNewFilePath to thePath & ":" & theNewWorkbookName
save workbook as theWorkbook filename theNewFilePath file format workbook normal file format
    close theWorkbook saving no
    end tell
    end repeat
    return input
    end run</pre>
I am assuming that the text files are the only files in the folder. If they are not then some further filtering will be required likely through inserting a Filter Finder Items action after step 2).

  • How to save Android contacts as Excel file on Mac computer?

I want to manage and edit my contacts on my cell phone, my friend suggested me save them as Excel format! So now i am trying this way, but i can't find the right method to do this! Do you know how to save Android contacts as Excel file on Mac computer?

If you want to save Android Phone contacts to Excel format, you can have a try the following method:
Step 1. Connect Your Android Phone to Computer
After downloading and installing the Coolmuster Android Assistant software on your computer, launch it and you will get the program interface prompts you to connect your phone to the computer. Just use a USB cable to connect your phone to the computer and the program will detect the connected phone automatically. If it is the first time to run this software, you may encounter the following picture and be required to enable USB debugging on your phone at first. If your device can be detected by the program, you can directly skip to the next step.
Step 2: Go to the Contacts windows
All your phone data are categorized on the top menu. To transfer Android phone's contacts, you can go to click the "Contacts" icon to enter the Contacts window. Navigate to the left panel and click on the "All Contacts" option, then, all the contacts in your phone will show in list on the right window. Mark the contacts you want to backup on your computer and click the button of "Backup".
Step 3. Start to export contacts to computer at once
Once you click on the "Backup" button, there will be a "Path" dialog appears, asking you to choose an output location where you want to save the exported contacts. Specify an output folder and then click the "Ok" button. Then, all your phone contacts will be exported to the output location immediately, with all the email address, company's name, home address, and more contacts info perfectly kept in the output CSV or XLS file.

  • How to save cluster in some excel file

    Hi,
I have been using bundle function to draw XY graph from 2 one dimensional array. However, I need these values to be saved in some excel file so that I can look at the graph in future. However, I could not connect the "output" of "Bundle" function to "ClusterToArray" function and so, I am not able to save the date, please let me know how to do.
    Thanks,
    Dushyant

One way of doing it would be to create a 2D array from you one dimensional arrays rather than the output of the bundle. Then you would need to transpose the 2D array and using the Write to spreadsheet VI to save the data in excel. See the attached picture.
