Save an image from interactive form to R/3 system table

Hi to all,
my scenario is this: Web AS 7.0 (probably patched to the last available patch), NWDS 7.0 and, at the moment, a 4.6c R/3 backend system (within some months we will upgrade to ECC 6.0). I have an online interactive form with some input fields and a user, logged in, fills these fields and pressing the "Submit to SAP" button will save the datas to a custom table on 4.6c backend. All this is simple and is working, but my problem is that one of these fields is an image. The purpose is that the user click on the image field and load an image from local PC and then, pressing submit to SAP button, will save the image on the custom table.
How can I make this? Which kind of context I have to bind to the image field? I have to add a java script/form calc code to image field? And to backend side, how can I do?

Hi,
In your forms you got the image or a link to the image ? If it's the image the field is define as an XSTRING is supposed. If yes you can add it easily in a database table.
If it's a link, your SAP system ( 4.6 C ) need to the the repository where the image is and then you can add it in the database.If you SAP system doesn't see the repository it's impossible to do so.

To add a static image:
In the Standard tab of the Library palette, drag a Static Image object into the form.
Insert the image:
To reference a link to an object stored separate from the form, double-click the Static Image object on the form design and insert the image:
In the URL box, type the URL to the image file.
Click the Browse button to the right of the URL box, navigate to the image file that you want to insert, and click Open.

Hey Gurprit,
All you need to do is:
1. drag and drop the Image object from the Library -> Standard tab
2. select the image you want to use
3. position the image on the form where you want
4. right click the image and say "Send to Back"
That should be it!!

A colleague of me did it like this:
* the scanner is connected to a network document server.
* the document server sends(ftp) the image to the oracle XDB
* a form shows the scanned documents(using a view on the ftp directory in XDB using path_view)
* in this form the user can move the scanned document(s) to a (blob field) in a table.

I am not familiar with Jpeg2000, but the easiest way I've found to go from Java to a JPeg file is with Java Adavanced Imaging (JAI) package from Sun. Take a look at it and see if it meets your requirements.

I've noticed two things my Ipad no longer does, If I save an image from an internet graphic file - facebook or whatever, the photo used to be saved to photostream... it no longer saves it to anywhere. Also having made sure all the boxes are ticked with photostream and ICloud and not knowingly changed anything, photos take with Ipad/photostream no longer end up in icloud and available to other machines eg. windows pc. Hide the layers as deepakgahlot has suggested by selecting the eye icon on the layers pallet and then when you have the layer you want save for web (Shift+Ctrl+Alt+S) or File>Save for Web.. and then you can select either a .jpg or .png

Extracting image from retuned form

Hi have a form which asks the end user to place 3 images into it.

We are thinking about using a third party native Java library to do this (http://www.qoppa.com/pdffields/jpfindex.html). I was hoping we could use acrobat reader, since everyone has it!
Here are a few more things.
1. We are an Software Vendor that sells our solutions - our software solutions need to extract the xml from pdf. We have a java based program that parses this xml and does stuff with it.
2. Obviously, we would need to be able to redistribute whatever solution we use to extract the xml from pdf.
3. Can Acrobat Professional batch mode be executed from Java?
4.. If so, Instead of distributing a full blown Acrobat Professional or requiring customers to buy it, is there a library that Adobe provides that we could repackage and ewdistribute? If so, can you send me some pointers on where I could find what those libraries would be and how much would they cost for each distribution we do.
5. If no, are you familiar with qoppa or do you have recommendations on any other third party libary for Java?

Why do my photos move around when I save an image from email so difficult to locate the new saved image

I believe the default is for them to order themselves in 'date taken' order. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do to change that. It's the default in the photos app and users can't change it. You can try looking for a third party photo app that may have more functionality. Afraid I can't recommend any since I've never looked for them but I'm sure someone can.

I'm guessing your problem is caused by code validation errors: orphaned division tags for example, or mismatched code and document type (i.e. XHTML /> mixed with HTML > style closures).
Start by using the code validation tools below and fix any reported. You'll need an Internet connection for this:

Thanks for your answer, I tried the solution 2, I create "Submit" button, and ser the mapping scope to be "All data rows", it only works when I select at least one row, otherwise the data would not be passed.
Another question is I have serveral imported table parameter, for each table I have one "submit" event, I want these tables to be submitted at the same time, but if I click the submit button in one table toolbar, I can only submit the table data which has a submit button clicked, for other tables, the data is not passed, how can I achieve it?

HOW: To save/refresh data from different forms but in same session

I have 2 screens
Screen-1
     Tabluar form with 10 rows and each row corresponds to one edit image
Screen-2
     Forms type form with multiple text items and list items and one OK and cancel button
     If I click on OK button, whatever I enter in screen-2 is updated but till now no commit only EXIT_FORM and the screen is going back to Screen-1
In Screen-1 I have written trigger When-Wiindow-Activated, which has to refresh the screen-1 values with the changed values from above screen-2
BUT this is not happening. (I am using SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY... and EXECUTE_QUERY to refresh, by passing the query string)
Also I have one save button in Screen-2 which should commit whatever I have updated in Screen-2 (once or muyltiple times)
I am opening the Screen-2 from Screen-1 by using OPEN_FORM built in with form name and ACTIVATE,NO_SESSION and also the parameter.
Please let me know if I am doing any mistake in calling or some properties need to be set.
I assume that, as the aplication is in the same session then the newly edited record in screen2 should get reflect in screen-1, and should get saved once I click on save button in screen-1 (FORMS_DDL('COMMIT'))

I assume that Screen 2 is not based on table as it doesn't prompt you "Do you want to save chages" on exit.
So you probably just updating with update statement.
You will need to call POST; before exit_form in screen 2.

Exit_Form(NO_COMMIT, NO_ROLLBACK); Also in screen 1, instead of OPEN_FORM and re-query in WHEN-WINDOW-ACTIVATED, I would suggest to use call_form and re-query just after call_form:
   CALL_FORM('xxx',no_hide, no_replace, no_query_only, pl_id);
   SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY ('YOUR_BLOCK' ...
   GO_BLOCK('YOUR_BLOCK');
   EXECUTE_QUERY;
