Save image to album in iOS

Hi there,
Do you know if there is a way to create an album folder and then save a picture into this album using CameraRollUI in iOS / Android?
If it's not possible, do you know a native extention that would do the job?
Thanks.

On Android I actually use a pretty complicated trick and, my bad, it's not really working
First I convert the bitmap data using the alchemy library Jpeg encoder (the website of the developer seems down but you'll find this lib here: https://github.com/ranklau/repos/tree/master/labs/swfupload2.5-fixed/src/swfupload2.5 )
Then I save the file (a byteArray) using FileStream on the internal storage (DCIM or Pictures Folder).
And there I have a refresh problem. I've tried to use this extension: http://extensionsforair.com/extensions/refresh-gallery/
(available here: http://ge.tt/97y5BKF/v/0?c )
But it doesn't really work... At least not on Android Kitkat it's prompting a message saying it does, but the gallery is not refreshed. The only way I found to refresh the Gallery is to reboot the phone which is not acceptable.
I don't develop ANE myself, but as it is possible in native (objective C and Java) to select an album, I guess it's possible to develop an ANE to that purpose.
Or should we add this request in adobe bug database or adobe Idea.
Cheers,

  • Why I cannot save image to camera roll after updated iOS 8.3 ?

My iPhone6 was updated iOS 8.3 last Friday (2015/04/10) morning.
After updated I found my iPhone sometimes cannot save image from any applications.
At first it cannot save pic from Twitter and Tweetlogix. They said I had to change setting in Seeting>Privacy>Image and click allow button to save pic. After I did that it still didn't work, so I had to restart my iPhone and wait for 5-10 minutes to save pic.
Not only saving pic from apps, but it cannot saving after taking pic too.
I think iOS 8.3 is not stable. But it looks like only mine that got this problem so I ask if there is any way to solve this problem.

  • Cannot save images from web on ipod touch 4 after ios 6 update

After downloading ios 6 to my ipod pod touch 4th gen, I can no longer save images from the web to my camera roll. Please help!

It works fine on my iPhone 4S
    Try the following:
    - A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Go to Setings>Safari and Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

  • The "save image" does not transfer the photo from facebook to ipad album.  Is there another way to save a picture from facebook to the iPad album?

I cannot transfer or copy pictures from Facebook to my iPad album.  I tap the photo and it says save image but does not show up in my album.

Go to Settings>Privacy>Photos. See if you need to allow Facebook access to the photos app. Also look at the Facebook setting under Twitter and see if there is a setting in there that you need to enable. Finally go to Settings>General>Restrictions>Privacy>Facebook and make sure that it hasn't been disabled in there.

  • Used to be able to save images from webpages but now with IOS 5, I can only save to reading list?

Used to be able to save images from webpages but now with IOS 5, I can only save to reading list even when viewing a page whose images I could save as an image when using the previous OS.

Are you using the YouTube widget in iWeb?  If so it doesn't work any more. Not since MobileMe was discontinued.
You need to get the full embed code from YouTube and use the standard HTML snippet.

  • Could not save image, write busy

I have an iPod touch (4th generation). Every time I try to save an image, it doesn't save or show up in my photo album. I tried to save a photo from a photography app and it still did not save and a message popped up saying "Could not save image; Write busy". I have tried deleting some photos, thinking there may not be space for any more, but it has not worked. Screen shots won't even save.
Anyone know what this means or how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Try anotheer image. One that appears to be a small file size.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

  • How to Save image in a text to my photos

How do I save the photo in a text message to my iPad air photos?

Tap the image in Message. (If you touch too long it brings up the: Copy; Other... menu instead)
This blows the image up to full screen.
Touch the image again to get menu options.
In the top right corner, tap the box with the up arrow.  One choice is Save Image.  Touch it to save to your camera roll.
In the top left corner, the three-line menu shows you all the photos in the message string, and some metadata like image size and camera title/image number.
This is in IOS 7.1.1 on an iPad, and should work on iPhone and Touch also.

  • Can no longer save image from Safari??

Since iOS 6 upgrade, the "save image" feature from safari is gone!  There's a bunch of other options (message, email, copy, etc...), but no way to save an image I find online into my camera roll.

    Use another browser.
Have you tried posting in the Safari forum area?

  • Where does mail save images?

When you hover over a picture a popup asks if you want to save the image...but where is it saved? I checked camera and photos, no go.

If you tap the Save Image button then it should be saved in the Saved Photos/Camera Roll album in the Photos app. If they are not appearing then try closing the Photos app completely and then re-open to see if they appear : from the home screen (i.e.not with the Photos app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Photos app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. You may have to re-try saving the photos.

  • Intermittent image link behaviour in iOS mail client

We use image links with a mailto reference for mobil approvals. For some reason the links occasionally do not behave as links but instead are processed only has an image, meaning the save image / copy menu pops up opposed to an email draft. I have stripped the html email down to the bare minimum but still happens. Same mail works fine on some phones/ipads. Any thoughts much appreciated.

I have the same problem. iPhone 4 is on iOS 5.1 (9B176) and iPad 2 on iOS 5.1 (9B176). I have seen someone with an iPhone 4S that apparently did not have that problem (there the menu also has an "open" option). Also I noticed that if you touch the icon before the image has finished loading (so with a very large image), it actually does open the URL, but once the image has been loaded, it assumes that you want to save or copy the image.

  • No Save Image option anymore

When I go on Google Images and find an image that I want to save to my Camera Roll, I can't save it how I used to. I used to be able to just hold down the image and have the Save Image option pop up along with 2 or 3 other options, but now the Save Image option doesn't come up anymore. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Yeah that's totally and utterly ridiculous and annoying and tedius.   First Google changed the image search option totally, to not being able to view pictures in full screen (on ios).   So you had to save it then view it.  Now they've once again changed it by taking out the "save image" option.
This is such a waste of my time.   It now takes 2-3 times longer to save a picture to my camera roll.
I found this article in my quest to find an app or something so that I can save images by simply pressing on them and choosing "save image".
Google is getting too big for it's britches and what goes up, eventually comes down.

  • "Save image" button of Camera Raw does not save JPEG with modifications made.

I am using Bridge CC to process my RAW images and make modifications to some JPEG images as well.  I have no need to further alter images in Photoshop at the moment, so I do all modifications in Camera Raw. After altering my images, I then press the "save image" button at the left bottom corner of Camera Raw and choose the settings to save in JPEG.  However, when I upload these JPEG images to a website or when I email them, the image is uploaded without the modifications I had done!  It seems to me that Camera Raw is saving JPEGs the same way it does for RAW images, in a non-destructive manner, only attaching instructions for the images to be displayed properly on Photoshop. But when I save an image in JPEG, I expect the image to be saved entirely with the modifications I made while still keeping the original RAW file.  What goes on then?  What is Camera Raw doing and how do I get to save a modified image in JPEG with Camera Raw?  Would you please explain?
    Many thanks for your help,
    Beza
