Saving Song Data in Excel

I know that I used to be able to save a copy of my song list in Excel so that I can print it if people wanted to see my list. I have downloaded the new version of iTunes and now when I try to export my library it does not open correctly in Excel. I have also tried exporting my library as a .txt file, but it freezes up and does not save. I have to cont. alt delete to get out of itunes. It has done it know everytime. HELP!

Paige,
Instead of the export, I have always found it much easier to go to library view in iTunes, make sure the fields of interest are displaying (View > Options if you need to adjust), Edit > Select All, Edit > Copy. Then switch to Excel and Edit > Paste. Each column of the library becomes a column in the spreadsheet and you can sort, analyze, print, etc to your heart's content.

  • Saving Song Data in iTunes - .XML

Hey guys, before I reinstalled, I backed up my iTunes Library to an XML file. And, on the reinstall, I made my media hard drive m:/ instead of d:/ like it was previously. So, in the XML file all the references are to where the songs were stored on the D drive and therefore it couldn't import any of the data.
So, I was wondering if it would be easiest to rename the drive back to D:/ and then reimport all the songs. Or, edit the XML file somehow by changing the drive letter to m:/ instead of d:/. I don't know of an easy way to do this since the file is huge and I'd have to edit about 14,000 entries...
    Thanks for any help guys!

  • Saving song data on a mix disc?

I can't find any information on this anywhere. I made a mix disc for a friend of mine, and I want her to be able to pop it into iTunes and have the track info come up automatically, instead of just "Track 01", etc. I've tried the "submit to CDDB" option, but that doesn't seem to do a thing. Is there any way to set the disc up so that iTunes will automatically read the info? Thanks so much for your help!

I assume you burned this as an audio CD.
Nope, no way to have the ID3 tags show that info. The best you can do is select the playlist, iTunes > File > Print > Song listing

  • Issue while saving data in excel

My client on SAP BPC 10 NW.
We got a issue while saving the data in EXCEL.
Though the users are saving single record in excel it popping up to user as, he/she is trying to save 4 records and then user clicks on yes button all it is giving is wrong results.
All the script logics and badi's will get trigger only after hitting on the save and yes buttons. so i suspect that something wrong with excel or EPM add in.

  • Problems with saving decimal data

    Hello!
I was faced with problem during saving decimal data via Excel input schedules. We use BPC 7.0 MS, SQL Server 2008.
One of the main customer demands is using decimal comma (",") due to Russian regional settings and standards. We've switched server regional options and one of the client machine's regional options into Russian, all integer data is sent to SQL correctly but during saving decimal data we got error - Type mismatch.
Do you mind how to solve this issue? Or it is possible only using English standarts?
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards, Maksim.

    Hi Maksim,
To understand if you have set correct regional settings for you SAP BPC server you have to check the follow keys:
    HKEY_USERS\.Default\Control Panel \ International
    HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Control Panel \ International
    HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-19\Control Panel \ International
    HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-20\Control Panel \ International
    HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21\Control Panel \ International
    HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21.....\Control Panel \ International
should have all the keys for English US.

  • Issue with Saving the Query output data in Excel format

    Hi,
Recnetly we had upgraded from 4.6c to ECC 6.0.
In ECc 6.0 environment, when user try to export the query output , we are getting only XML option to save the data.
But user want to save the data in EXcel format, he was able to do that in 4.6C.
pleas eprovide some inputs, on this issue.
    Thanks,
    Sanketh.

I cannot for the life of me imagine, why a link to a post in the 'Business One Forum' where one uses ODBC to transfer query-data to MicroSoft Excel is of relevance to the OPs question, even if the same is not a security issue.
Never mind. [note 40155|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/402155] deals with various symptoms in the ALV-Excel combination as as of release 4.6C. There are various others, mostly in components BC-SRV-ALV and BC-ABA-LI - also: I remember that when we upgraded from 4.5B to 4.7C there was an issue with Excel-templates -> the solution was in the release notes somewhere. So, in addition to SMP you might want to check the release notes and/or upgrade guide for solutions.
And yes, moderators ... this is not a security issue, this should go to ECC-Applications/Upgrade.

  • Upload data from Excel to the Planning Book

We are on APO 5.1. We have APO DP at the moment. I wanted to test upload of data from Excel to the planning book. I have tried several times. I have been unable to see any changed data in the planning. I do not get ANY errors during the upload. But I cannot see any changes that I made in the excel in the planning book. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. These are the step that I follow.
    1. Go to planning book.
    2. Short list only one key figure e.g Customer Forecast.
    3. Go into Details All mode.
    4. Download the file using the "Prepare File for Upload" option.
    5. Open the saved Excel.
    6. Change the values in the excel , save and close.
    7. Upload the excel into the planning book using the upload file option.
I do not get any errors during all these steps. However, when I check to see if the values have been updated, the changes made in the excel are not updated in the planning book.

    Hello,
Instead of selecting one key figure in data view, please select all key figures of the planning book and then try all the steps which you have carried out.
please revert after you carry out this.

    Hi
If you can convert the excel to a csv format, then it can be simply query from DB Creating Oracle External Tables. Best part is that you may still change the CSV using EXCEL.
    Following action Points can be adopt;
*1. Convert Excel File to a csv. File Save as CSV*
*2. Create Oracle Directory* ( This has to be the location of your excel file )
SQL> Create directory mydir as 'C:\testdb'; --- "testdb" is the location folder in win for your excel sheet.
    *3. Create the External Table*
    SQL> create table my_ext_tab (
    Field1 Datatype,
    Field2 Datatype,
    Field3 Datatype,
    Field4 Datatype,
    Field5 Datatype
    Organization external
    (type oracle_loader default directory mydir
access parameters (records delimited by newline fields terminated by ',')
    location ('my_ext_tab.csv'))
    reject limit 100;
*4. Now you can query the table "my_ext_tab"*
    Select * from "my_ext_tab";
Please avoid the reformat the data column inside the spreadsheet (CSV).

  • C#/SharePoint -View State related issue while exporting data to excel

We have web application based on SharePoint. We have a list view to display data based on Search Criteria. We have total of around 16000 data. When we try to export all data to excel it gives an error. The cause of the issue is:
View State is used to save the state of page i.e. the previous state. When the export to excel link is clicked, the data present in the grid is actually saved in view state so that the overhead of again generating
the data(as per the selection criteria) can be avoided. Now, this View state has a limitation of storage of these records. When we put in some selection criteria, the no. of records is less hence no problem in actually storing the view state. But when there
is no selection criteria, 16306 records are too much to be stored in view state. Hence the error occurs.
We tried to solve this issue by creating a compressor class and overriding two methods:
     LoadPageStateFromPersistenceMedium
    SavePageStateToPersistenceMedium
This has resolved the issue with Export to Excel. However, there is now some issue in the paging of the list view. The list view has a column with hyperlink which opens related data in a form. While we click on the link in 2nd
page of the list view, it displays data for the link in the 1st page at same row.
Please suggest how to resolve this issue or any workaround for this

  • How to update data to excel in runtime with LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit

    hi,All
i am using LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit, and a newer.i want to insert the data in excel for every loop.
so at first, need to creat a excel file(xxx).and when every loop end,the test data can be insert into the file(xxx).when the test finished, the file will be saved.
i have seen the examples in LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit, all of them need to creat a new file.i need update the data in the same file.
can you give me some advances for that?
my labview's version is 8.5 and LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit's version is 1.1.0.
         thanks a lot.

    Hi cat099,
One question, why don't you store data of each loop, say in shift register and update all data in excel  at once when your test is finished.
It will be easy. Or else, if you want to build same functionality as you mentioned, then you can build your own vi to write in excel. No need to use report generation toolkit.
    See attached example.

  • Transfer Data from excel to text file or SAP R/3

    Hi,
Can anyone please let me know if there is any function module to transfer data from excel to a .txt file.
I am using a CRM 5.0 system and some standard SAP function modules are missing.
I want to fetch data from excel to SAP R/3.
    Wish you great time.
    Best Regards

    Hi Sid,
extracting data from an excel sheet to SAP u can use the function module GUI_UPLOAD.
I am providing u its parameters also as it might be useful to u.
The mandatory fields here are FILENAME n in TABLES (in which u will be saving ur data).
and also if u need to download from sap to any file u can use GUI_DOWNLOAD in which u can save data in both excel or txt file.
U can also use SAP_CONVERT_TO_TEX_FORMAT function module to convert into text file.
Rewards would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Downloading table data into Excel sheet - Webdynpro Java

    Hi All,
We have developed a custom webdynpro application that executes an RFC and displays data in Table UI element. We have provided a button to download the data in excel sheet. When data is huge like, total number of rows filled up in the table are around 11,000 & columns are 32, and when user tries to download whole 11000 rows in excel sheet, the timeout occurs after 20 mins due to huge data. But when I apply filtering on the same table data and then try to download some 700 rows out of 11000 into excel, it took me around 3.36 mins.
If anyone encountered such scenario in past, please guide in this regard to speed-up the download to excel functionality or suggest any other alternative.
We are using 7.3 Portal and tableUtilities java class for export to excel functionality.
    Thanks,
    Amol.

    hi monica ,
sorry im not able to understand properly ,
The server don't restarts automatically when we uploading a huge data, onlly we open the file instead of save the file.
If we save the file the problem is that when we try to open this, the process can take hours and sometimes excel is blocked
you mean that after saving the file to your desktop , having huge data you are not able to open the file i.e the excel file. your file gets blocked or consumes more time to open the file ,
or else when you are prompted for saving or opening , on click of opening  you are facing the problem ?
let me be clear with your part , here your application deals with uploading the data from webdynpro table to excel sheet and allowing the end user to save or open the file  right .

  • How to transfer data from excel files into z-tables

Please help me with a code which transfers data from excel file to z-table.
    Thanks in advance
    Shuvir

    Hi Daniel,
    Export Data
    Purpose
Use this procedure to export SAP data to a local file such as Microsoft Excel.
    Menu Path
Use the following menu path to begin this process:
    ·         SystemèListèSaveèLocal File
    Helpful Hints
    When reviewing fields, R = Required,  O = Optional and C = Conditional.
    Procedure
    1.       Start the transaction using the menu path or transaction code.
Whatever Data You Want to Export
    2.       Select SystemèListèSaveèLocal File.  This works well for any data in SAP.  This is the only option for the top-level (first page) of a report.
In a drill-down view within a report the Local File button  on the toolbar may be used and has the same options.
          Choose File Format
    3.       Click  .
    4.       Click  to continue.  If prompted for a format after choosing Spreadsheet, select Excel Table to get an Excel file that can be modified more easily.
Choose File Save Location Step 1
    5.       Click  to the right of the Directory field to choose a different location.
Choose File Save Location Step 2
    6.       Click  or browse your computer to locate the directory where you want to save your file.
    7.       Complete the following field:
    ·         File name:
You must add the proper file extension to the name of your file (.xls for Excel, .rtf for Rich Text, .html for HTML).  The file extension tells your computer what program to open the file with.  If you do not have the file extension at the end, you may not be able to open it.
    8.       Click  to continue.
Generate File in Location and Format Selected
    9.       Click  to create the file in the location and format selected.  In this example the file was named "example.xls" and saved on the desktop.
    Result
You have completed the export process.
    thanks
    karthik
