  • How do I convert qcp audio file (from cell phone) to mp3 file?

    I moved a recorded cell phone conversation from my phone to my computer. The file is 982498.qcp and iTunes, VLC, Quicktime, or Windows Media Player will not play it. iSoundFile is an application that can convert many different audio files to many other different audio file formats. It does not work with qcp files.
    How do I play this qcp file? Or, How do I convert this qcp file to mp3 or something playable?
    The phone manual says nothing about it (its an LG 8600).

    I've tried it 3 times. It says "Error while converting file." Thanks though, it looks like the perfect site for this function, just wish it worked.

  • How to block all AIM text messages to cell phone

    Hi folks,
    I was woken up by an AIM text message (obviously spam) on my phone around 6:30am this morning. I received two more text spam between 6:30am and 7:15am until I put my phone into "Standalone mode" so I could go back to sleep. Each text message was from a different 6-digit phone number or 6-digit code, so blocking one number would not help. When I got out of bed and turned my phone back on, I was still receiving more AIM text messages (also obviously spam) to check out a certain URL.
    I have an older prepaid plan. So when I log into My Verizon and look for the spam controls, I don't have any.
    I found a way to turn off ALL AIM text messages. I found this site:
    http://www.aim.com/products/txt#im-to-mobile
    Under
    Manage Your Mobile Privacy
    It has a link called:
    Block texts if you are not an AIM user
    http://www.aim.com/products/txt#block-txt
    You enter your cell phone number into this page, you get a confirmation number via text message on your cell phone, you enter this 4-digit confirmation number (located at the end of the text message) into this web page, and click "Disable Messages". It says:
    Pressing this button will disable all text messages coming from AOL® and AIM® Services to your phone.
    Once you click that button, a little pop-up window will appear that says:
    The page at aolmobile.aol.com says:
    SMS to your device successfully blocked.
    with an OK button.
    I hope it works! It looks like it will work for all cell phones, not just Verizon. So far my phone has been quiet for the past hour and 15 minutes, I am not getting any more AIM text messages....

    There is no know issue like this; have you installed any Preware apps? Have you tried restarting your device from Device Info, Reset Options, and Restart? I would try this first; but you may have to go the next step and Erase Apps & Data. This would delete all PIM data and apps off you device, and then you would have to reload from your backup data. This however will also delete all text messages on the device, and there is no way to restore them. The last step would be to run webOS doctor on the device to restore or repair the operating system. You can get this application from www.palm.com/rom, enter your serial number and follow the steps on this web page.

  • Do saved Texts transfer to new phone with contacts?

    When I use Back Up Assistant to transfer my contacts to my new phone, can I transfer saved text messages, pictures, note book entries?

    No. If you have a smartphone, you'll need to backup your texts you want to save with an app. If you don't have a smartphone you'll need to use a software like BitPim to save your texts. Not all phones are compatible with BitPim. Go to www.BitPim.org to see if yours is.
    To save your pictures, you can put them on your SD card to be transfered over into the new phone, or you can email them to yourself from your current phone, and then text them back to your new phone from your computer.

  • Saving text file at different rate

    Hello all,
    I am a little bit new to LabView, so maybe this question is trivial, but is giving me a lot of pain.
    I want to continuously save a given string at two different rates; in the example provided these rates are at every 500 ms and 50 ms, in two different text files (one for each rate). I tried to use while structured loops for this purpose. When I use only one, it works fine, but when I use both of them at the same time, it seems Labview limits both paths to the lowest speed, which in this case is obviously 500 ms, and eventually I obtain two exact files with the string saved at 500 ms period.
    How can I make it work?
    Thanks in advance.

    You still have ways to go for a more reasonable code.
    For example, typically you want to open the files before the loop, keep appending inside the loops, and close the files after the loop, when the program stops. Now you don't even need to set the file position inside the loops because it will automatically keep writing right after the previous write position. This is much more efficient than to open and close the file with each iteration.

              I have followed your weblog and set the content dispostion.
    HttpServletResponse res = request.getServletResponse(true);
                   try {
                        res.setContentType("application/vnd.ms-excel");
                        res.setHeader("Content-disposition", "inline; filename=report.xls");
                        wb.write(res.getOutputStream());

  • How can I transfer my saved text messages from one phone to another?

    I have a Blackberry Curve 9320 and recently it began malfunctioning, so I have been sent a replacement of the same model. My problem is that I can transfer things like photos and contacts easily enough but I want to know if there's a way of keeping the text messages that I'd saved on the previous phone and putting them on the new one, any ideas?

  • How do I send a text file from one device to another?

    Hi,
    I'm working on an Android Air app made in CS5.5 where user data is saved in the app's applicationStorageDirectory as a text file.
    Is there a way to send this saved text file to another device's applicationStorageDirectory via Bluetooth/email/text e.g?
    The idea is that the app "game" is saved on each person's device. When the game is over, I want the users to be able to compare their results. (I'll write some code to compute who the winner is via comparing the two results)
    Any help is greatly appreciated. Some code sample would be terriffic.
    Thanks,
    J.D.

    You're in native extension territory. Access to things like bluetooth are well beyond the scope of the AIR framework. You'd need to write a native extension, which is code that taps into the native functionality of the device to expand flash's abilities, to use something like bluetooth.
    For you to share locally it most likely may need you to use push notifications, which are perfectly possible, even on wifi.

  • How do I add multiple text block records from text file?

    The data manager documentation (page 151) for MDM 5.5 SP3 indicates that one or more new text blocks can be added to the Text Blocks object table from files. It is noted that the files must be plain text files.
    I use notepad and create a text file with two lines as follows:
    Test 1
    Test 2
    When I try to add the text blocks following documentation mentioned above, it only adds one record for the Data Group I have chosen and the record contains the entry "Test 1" from the first line in the text file.
    How can I add multiple records to the data group from a file?

    From my testing it appears that you need to have one text file per text block record in Data Manager.
    I wrote VBA macro to so that I could input my text blocks into an Excel spreadsheet and then the macro will take the contents of each cell in a highlighted column and create one text file per cell.
    Then using Data manager, I can select all of the text files at once and it will import them, creating one record per text file.

  • Problem with formatting the saved text to hard disk

    I use a modified code from Macromedia for saving the content of a text filed on hard disk. See code at the end.
    The code works fine and a text file is saved in the given location on the hard disk.
    The problem is that all of the content of the text field appears in a very long single line.
    The line breaks in the text field does not appear at all in the saved text file.
    for example:
    if the following is the the content of the text filed on the stage:
    abcdef
    jhijklm
    nopqrst
    uvxwyz
    then the saved file is like: abcdefjhijklmnopqrstuvxwyz
    No line break happens! How can this be fixed?
    Thanks for any suggestions.

    ******************* Here is the code *************************
    --this handler saves the contents of the field into a text file called 'output.txt'
    --it over writes anything that is in the 'output.txt' file.
    global myFile
    on mouseUp
      if objectP(myFile) then set myFile = 0  --Delete the instance if it already exists
      myFile = new(xtra "fileio")    -- Create an instance of FileIO
      openFile (myFile, the moviePath &"output.txt",0)--Open the file with R/W access
      delete(myFile) --deletes the file
      createFile (myFile, the moviePath &"output.txt) --creates the file again
      openFile(myFile,the moviePath &"output.txt,0) --Open the file with R/W access
      mySaveString = member("input").text --puts the contents of the field 'input' into the variable mySaveString
      writeString(myFile,mySaveString) --writes text to the file
      closeFile(myFile) -- Close the file
      myFile = 0 -- Dispose of the instance
    end

    You need to replace the carriage returns (that aren't followed by a line feed) with the CRLF combination. Feel free to place the following JavaScript handler into a movie script and call it prior to writing your string to disk:
    function jsStringToDOS (str) {
      return str.replace(/(\x0D)(?!\x0A)/g, "\x0D\x0A");
    global myFile
    on mouseUp
      if objectP(myFile) then set myFile = 0  --Delete the instance if it already exists
      myFile = new(xtra "fileio")    -- Create an instance of FileIO
      openFile (myFile, the moviePath &"output.txt",0)--Open the file with R/W access
      delete(myFile) --deletes the file
      createFile(myFile, the moviePath &"output.txt") --creates the file again
      openFile(myFile,the moviePath &"output.txt",0) --Open the file with R/W access
      mySaveString = member("input").text --puts the contents of the field 'input' into the variable mySaveString
      mySaveString = jsStringToDOS(mySaveString) -- convert to Windows CRLF characters
      writeString(myFile,mySaveString) --writes text to the file
      closeFile(myFile) -- Close the file
      myFile = 0 -- Dispose of the instance
    end

  • Using Excel 14.3.7 to create a text file, for saving as a .csv file. Problems with commas.

    I have created a text file in Excel, to be saved as a .csv file and uploaded to an online database. The file is rejected. When I open it in textedit I can see that the empty cells ( of which there are several in each row, all in the same columns) contain commas. It looked to me as though this could be the result of tabbing across empty cells. So I created a dummy file with a couple of lines where I tabbed across the whole row including the empty cells, and a couple of lines where I clicked in each individual cell in which I wanted to enter text. Opened in textedit there is no difference between the two type of entry. What can I do to stop Excel or .csv format entering commas in blank cells? Suggestions in simple English appreciated.

  • Saving report as PDF and text file

    Currently, I saved my report as PDF. It opens in Acrobat reader automatically when the report is executed. Is there a way for me to save it as PDF and as a text file at the same time? (without having to open the file in Acrobat reader and saving it)

    You can add your PDF and TEXT file formats to a distribution list (Instead of GENERATE REPORT TO A FILE). To do this:
    1. Go to your Object Navigator and highlight your report.
    2. Right click on your report. Select Property Palette.
    3. Select Distribution
    4. You can add of of the formats that you want to print or save to the report to.
    5. You will have to add Distribution Id (any number starting with 1) where you want the file to be saved (c:\my_reports\inventory.pdf), the type of file: PDF and how many copies you want: 2
    6. Click OK after finishing...
    To make it work ... You would highlight your report from your Object Navigator and then choose FILE-DISTRIBUTE and this will save it to all the files your specified and/or printer.
