Say no to the cashier's "Would you like to save $20.00 today"

Hi "Derek" can you explain to me and the other customers what happens when a cashier at BB asks "Would you like to save $20.00 today"
...if you say yes, your friendly cashier pushs a button on the computer that does a pull on your credit report (and you thought your information was private - ha)
So... Should the pull on your credit report be high enough that ink cartridge you were buying just went on a brand new BB credit card!
Sometimes, they wont even tell you!
You'll find out whn you get your next credit card statement and notice you were not charged for the ink cartridge. Well you were, but you were charged on a BB credit card. This is fraud and BB is getting away with it! I will never shop here again. 
I never thought BB could stoop lower than when they used to try to force magazine subscriptions on people at the front counter point of sale. Now they just steal your credit (Hope you wern't borderline buying a house)

I used the email address you registered with the forum to review your account history, and from what I can see, the ink cartridges you recently purchased were not charged to a Best Buy credit card.  As MMaier mentioned, the cashier would need to have gathered quite a bit more information from you before being able to submit an application to Citibank for a Best Buy credit card. So, unless you provided the cashier with that necessary information, there would have been no way for them to simply create a new credit card by pushing a couple buttons on the register.

    Which firmware your N8 having now? You can check firmware by choosing Call, then type *#0000#.
    My N8 works fine on security setting and able to define Phone auto lock period, by choosing Menu>Settings>Phone>Phone management>Security settings>Phone and SIM card>Phone auto lock period>User defined>Lock after(minutes)
    You will prompt to enter Lock code each time u define auto lock priod or enable/disable auto lock.

    My itunes on my iMac for the passed few weeks now keeps on comming with the message "This computer is no longer authorized to play purchased items that are on the iPhone. Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store?"

    This while everything was working fine.
    Please advise what I can do with this message.
    When I press autorize, it comes up with a unknow appleID. When I use apple ID's that work - it comes with the message that the computer is autorized. but then the autorization message comes back.

    You can't change the Apple ID that the Authorize dialog comes up with by default. It's showing you that Apple ID for a reason: it means that the items you want to play were purchased using that Apple ID and therefore you need to authorize your computer with that Apple ID. Changing the Apple ID given completely defeats the entire purpose.
    If you don't know the password to the given Apple ID, then you will no longer be able to play those items.

    Recently, when I delete files, I am getting a message stating, ""[Filename]" is too big for the trash. Would you like to delete it permanently?". This recently started showing up for no reason and in the past I have deleted files significantly bigger and not recieved this message. Any ideas why this is showing up and how I can stop it from happening?
    For reference, I have a 768GB SSD with approximately 470GB of space available so space is not the issue.

    nbar, it seems that this trash issue is a reoccuring issue and that it is resetting itself. I followed the article that provided a link to, but after following the steps and finding success, it started doing it again.
    If anyone has any idea on what might be causing this issue, it would be greatly appreciated...not a life or death situation...just really annoying.

    I am developing AddOn that has form of control type. This means some parameters can be specified (so editing mode must be on) but the data in database are never changed.
    So standard message that SAP B1 displays ( 'Would you like to save changes?' ) when closing form is useless.
    Please tell me how can I switch off this message.

    Hi Pawel,
    As A. Kerremans pointed out this is not possible, however if the item is not used to change the database you can set the AffectsFormMode property to false. This means that any change to the item will not change the form and B1 will not present you with message about saving the data (as it cannot detect that changes were made).

    i get that too. i've just resigned myself to the fact that i need to hit the save button about 20 times and then it'll rear it's ugly head with another message for a different preset and i need to it that save button another 20 times. i've kinda resigned myself to the fact that compressor 2 is the ugly step-child in apple's proapp lineup and i can choose to use it and deal with it's ugly idiosynchracies or find something else which most often for me means using compressor 1.

    Until today I was using firefox 3.6 because I liked the style and way it operated, but I had to update because most sites I was using wouldn't let me access them anymore.
    One of the things that was my favorite was the save tabs option. When I'd open firefox, all my tabs would be there already and I could instantly get to work.

    I have also been trying to figure out how to make Firefox on my new computer behave the same way it does on my older computer. This must be the problem, you removed that functionality from the newer version. My feedback is that toggling between opening ALL of the windows and tabs I had open in my last session or NONE of them is really inconvenient. I liked very much the choice of restoring the tabs on the last window that I close. I do NOT like having several windows and tabs open back up with I re-launch Firefox. Please restore this functionality!! What you think was something that would really enhance the functionality has, in fact, severely restricted it.

    This issue is driving me crazy!
    I have checked internet settings(tools > manage add ons > disabled adobe add on so it will open directly to adobe reader rather than the IE viewer.) under Adobe (edit > preferences > internet > box for display pdf in browser is unchecked), tried re enabling the adobe add on for IE, tried downloading updates, tried un installing and re installing, tried restoring IE back to factory settings.
    I have Installed Firefox and tested - works perfectly but still no luck with IE..
    Anyone have a solution?

    So the answer is to manually enable and disable websites based on whether the pdfs open within the browser.  That doesn't seem like a great long-term solution to have have our users to manually enable / disable browser integration.  We have web applications that work better with browser integration turned on.  Is this something that Adobe will fix or is it an IIS/IE issue.
    It appears the Adobe removed the #1 config option that you lised in the new 11.x versions of both products.  The manage Add-ons does not disable the browser integration on the new Adobe versions.

    hi guys, I currently have a master detail relationship but i have a problem. When a query is entered in my master block it automatically queries the detail block, this is fine, however , if i then want to enter a new query, thus entering query mode in the master block I get a prompt asking me if i want to save changes, but I havent made any changes.
    I do however have an idea for the cause of the problem. I have 2 non database items on my detail block which are just there to provide additional information to the user. How they work is that when the id from the detail block is brought back I have in a post query trigger that I open a cursor and bring data back from another table and display it to the user in these NON database items. however i did not think this would cause a prompt to save changes as this inforrmation was going into a non databse item. I am simply assuming this is my problem.
    Anyone any ideas how I could resolve this?

    i do agree with Ahmed; no Tricks needed it's obvious and strait forward that's to say i supposed that u did the following ...
    1. created Lov for the FK ( id) selecting the id and desc
    2.u returned the selected id from the Query to the FK (id) in the form
    3.u can display it or set it's width to 0
    through previous steps u garanteed returning the id just once as u selected it from ur form at runtime during the insertion process.
    On Post-Query Trigger ....
    This trigger functionality is to display only the desc or the name of the item related to the FK (id) in ur current form that is already existed in a related Look-up table or whatever...
    Through this u display data that can't be displayed by ur current table but related to another table u can get it through using the id currently fetched from the db
    By using the Post-Query u may cause the same id to be stored Twice which is useless,wasting time,and effort upon u and the db itself.
    Hope i clear it as i recognize it.

    I moved my iTunes library to my external hard drive some time ago and I followed the directions listed here on the apple support page.  It did copy my library and now is on my hard drive... I can open iTunes and use it to sync all of my devices but I would like to play my music... I can see all of my music files but can not play them if I click on an album or song it says the following:  "(file name) could not be used because the original file cannot be found.  Would you like to locate it?"  I click locate but do not know where to go from there?  I need a way to access all files and not to hunt down one at a time on my hard drive... I am pretty sure I deleted the original library to make space on my internal drive which was the reason for moving it.  I have tried and tried to fix it and do not have a lot of time to do so with a one and two year old at my house who do not like it whenI sit down at my computer.  What to do???  Any help is much appreciated!!!

    See Make a split library portable. Move all of the bits of the library together in the the correct shape and it should work. Or undo exactly what you did and then start over.
    If you're a former Windows user don't try merging two folders together that have the same name by dropping one into the same folders as the other, as that goes badly on a Mac.

    I was not complete clear.
    Since you never changed the settings in the advanced section of iTunes preferecnes, you have to chech that your music is really in the location setted in the folders reported in the advanced section.  If not you have 2 ways: reset the position of this folders or in the actual disk organisation or in the pointing on the preferences.
    If you press the reset button you just give to itunes its default setting as for the position of the music files: probably this will be a good choice if you have never changed any default preference.
    But before I would check the folders and see if the songs are really there
    In my iTune I have this, and I believe it is the default.
