Scheduling a Scenario question

I have scheduled a Scenario to run every x minutes. I did this from ODI Studio and it works.
Now say, I export this Scenario and import it into another ODI "Execution Mode" environment.
There, the ODI admin wants to change the Scheduler of this Scenario, from x minutes to y minutes.
How do they do it? I dont see any options to do that from ODI console.

Ok, so seems like you cannot adjust Scenario's scheduling from ODI console. You can only do it from ODI Studio.
Somebody, please let me know if I am wrong.

Hi,
If you want you scenario to go in an endless loop, you can simply create a new package. Drag your scenario into the new package, and add the "OK" to itself. Therefore unless it fails it will start again on completion.
You may want to add a variable to you package so you can stop it, which you can set externally.
The Final package would look like this...
Declare variable-->Refresh variable-->evaluate variable (true)-->call scenario loop back to Refresh variable (step 2).
If the evaluate variable is false, then the package will stop.

Is ther any API or function we can schedule the ODI scenario from external system.We have a html page from whcih we are calling ODI scenario using startscen command.We would like schedule the scenario
from HTML page is there any way we can achive this

What Zerome said is correct. Odi console is for managing and monitoring an Oracle Data Integrator run-time architecture and for browsing design-time objects.

Scheduling agreement Fcst del schedules and JIT question

We have a requirement of not sending forecast delivery schedules TOR to MRP from SA.
Instead, we take this forecast delivery schedules and massage the data (add or delete) and then send it to MRP as regular forecast (PIR).
so when the JIT schedules come, does the forecast get consumed with the JIT's in MD04?
lets say, I got 100 pc for 2nd week of July 2011 as forecast delivery schedule from customer and I loaded them into MRP as PIR
and I got JIT for only 90 PC for the 2nd week of july 2011.in MD04 will the 90 get consumed from the PIR??

I guess this means that you are entering using a Day format rather than Week format.
You have answered you own question already. If the online SAP help, which you have read and reasonably paraphrased, is not clear enough to make you understand this, I cannot help you.
JIT horizon is 3/23, Forecast is for 3/21.
As I stated before, even though it may in your mind represent a week's demand, it is still for one day. There is no bucketing, nor time-based disaggregation, nor consumption. It is just a scheduling agreement.

Receiver RFC synchronouse scenario question:

Dear All,
I have a doubt in Receiver RFC sync scenario. for example file to XI to RFC.
Question: when ever Response RFC is triggered in R/3 Side. How the data reaches XI.
By just creating Synch Communication channel for the RFC in XI, will the data to come to XI for RFC respose.
How when a Respose RFC is Triggered in R/3 Server, how the data points or reaches XI port?
How the Auto Triggered RFC Respose data points to XI and Comes to XI in a Synchronous RFC Receiver scenario.
PS: I am not from ABAP background. if any code has to be written in R/3 side for making the response RFC point to XI, please provide a generalized code also if possible.

Hi Mr. Rao,
In response to your question, steps are :
1. VA31 to create your Schedule Agreement.
2. Enter relevant information such as sold-to, material, rounding qty or etc.
3. Click on 'Goto->Item->More->Purchase Order data' and then you may enter the PO number into 'Purchase order item' field.

SRM, ROS and SUS scenario question

Hello Experts,
We are in the process of implementing MDM, ROS, EBP and SUS scenario in our present project. I went through the documentation. I have couple of questions.
1. Do we need to have seperate clients for ROS and SUS. What is the best practise.
2. Since we have SUS, once I transfer BP from ROS to EBP, check the portal vendor box, I would like to know how the registration code will be sent to supplier. Do we need to create the userid in EBP or with the receipt of registration code supplier will be able to create his first initial userid? Also how we can implement this with CUA and EP as part of landscape?
3. Also since we have MDM, how the new BP information can be migrated or mapped in MDM and how new BP can be sent to backend system? I understand there is BP monitor to check and approve the changes, but how the new BP will be transferred? Do we need to develop new XI message for this? if Yes, from where that can be managed? from EBP or MDM?.
I searched through help.sap.com for any documentation but no success.

2.For supplier registration,SUS is not mandatory.You need to configure ROS for this scenario.The extrenal vendors will register in ROS and then be replicated to R/3.
You can use EBP only for Supplier registration.
SUS,ROS and Bidding engine make up the SRM server 5.5/EBP component of SRM 5.0.

Synch scenario question

Hello,
I have following scenario.
SOAP (Request) -
> XI -
> RFC(Receiver)
SAOP (response) <----- XI <--
RFC
The above is synch. scenario.
This scenario is used by several clients. Now my question is as follows.
When a specific client request comes through, I do not want to map specific feilds in the mapping.
How would I do this?

Hey,
In this case if you have client value is one of the fields then it becomes very easy for you.
you just need to compare the client field with the client number for which you want to by pass the values.
for example,
if there is say employee number, and you want to send it only for client 400, 500 and 600. then
your mapping for the field employee number will include an if condition like this.
if-->client(field) equals 400 or client(field) equals 500 or client(field) equals 600 then employee number.
use ifwithouelse function provided by XI.
in case you have many clients and graphical mapping becomes tedious you can also write a user defined function.

Scheduled ODI scenario auto executed twice!!

Hi All,
I am using ODI 10.1.3.5 . I have an ODI scenario scheduled to run once everyday midnight. Normally it runs fine but on some irregular intervals, the scenario simply doesn't run or runs twice at the scheduled time . Does anyone has any idea how to investigate/ solve this issue. Please help.
I have checked in the SNP_PLAN_AGENT table and the entry is there as it should be .

Not running a scheduled job sounds like a bug. please work with support channel to further investigation.
You can check with view schedule dialog for a agent and see if its showing the scheduled jobs correctly. If so then agent should execute them on scheduled time.
On running it twice: please check if you have configured the job to retry on failure or run multiple times. Otherwise this too sounds like a bug to me.

I want to learn options on daily, weekly scheduling of ID scenarios using RTW Availibilty-time Planning. (similar to SM36 TCODE in SAP)
How to schedule outbound IDOC and HTTP scenarios as it is not part of Adapter Framework and RTW Availibilty-time Planning?

I have confousion about GRMG Scenario I am using XI30, and create 5 different GRMG Scenario, first I download GRMG File and customized and update Scenario using GRMG tcode
Now its look like this and all Scenario are green-check-sign:

When I goto RZ20 and click "Extras" then Activated maintaintance funcation" then documents said "CCMS monitor sets screen, copy the template SAP Exchange Infrastructure to the new monitor set.

Scheduling a scenario

Hello,
I'm looking for a way to create a schedule for a scenario and refresh the agent automatically. The second part is easy with OdiUpdateAgentSchedule but what about defining the schedule? Is there any way other than clicking it out in ODI studio?

No, I don't think the first part is possible. There is no ODI tool I know of that will do this and no API calls either.

Query for the Problem of setting up agent and scheduling a scenario

I have setup a agent called AGENT_SCHEDULER.I can start this agent from the windows service,but when I go to Topology manager and say test Test Connection I don't get any response. My ODI hangs up and I have to manually kill
from the task Manager. Why is this happening?
But when I start from the command prompt using agentscheduler "-port=20910" "-name=AGENT_SCHEDULER" "-v=5 its gets started and tehn when I go to topology Manager and test connection ,it says agent test successful.
But in the windows service it is not started though. Is this correctly behaving?
After that when I schedule a Package Scenario and give status "active " and execution on "startup",I able to save. At this I presume the schedule must have started and ran the process. But then when I Go to Operator,it gives me error UNPARSEABLE DATE "0" and the opens up and doesn't show me anything.
what is this error unparseable date "0"?
I have set my ODIPARAMS with corect master and work repository and encoded ODI_SECU_ENCODED_PASS with the latest one generated?because every time I generate I get a different one.I am using java version "1.5.0_05".
Also I have a requirement that I schedule my package after every 30 mins? What I found that we can schedule hourly?How will I be able to achieve this?

Ref Note 783671.1 In Iassets Security by Cost Center is not Working, The Symptoms is as below :
In iAssets, users with "Enforce Security by Cost Center" are able to see assets from different cost centers then the one where they are restricted, when using Advance Search button.
But I still not work when using Advance Search button....
Anyway, do u know how to setup the Cost Center/Department for employee in the HRMS module? Is't correct as below?
I tried to set in HRMS (HRMS Manager) -> People -> Enter and Maintain --> select user--> Assignment -> Purchase Order Information -> input value in Set of Books and Default Expense Account field
