SCOM 2012R2 – Issues with Chained Gateways

We recently migrated from our SCOM 2012 SP1 to 2012R2.  In both versions of SCOM, we have set up designated chained gateway servers, whose sole purpose is to communicate between untrusted forests and the RMS.  It goes as follows:  Untrusted
Forest (AD Server) -> Chained SCOM Gateway -> RMS.  For example, ACLOUD -> SCOMGW01 -> SCOM01 
We recently added new site and duplicated the gateway installation process from our current site to our new site.  From the example above, rather than reporting upstream to the chained site gateway (SCOMGW01), ACLOUD
attempts to reach RMS server directly (SCOM01), which it has no route to resulting to the error event below:
“The OpsMgr Connector could not connect to [RMS Server]:5723.  The error code is 10061L (No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it).”

That was a great post, thanks!  Unfortunately, because we are using 2012 R2 and no longer 2012, I saw some noticeable differences in the cmdlets.  All else equal, I think this is the part of our script that is the issue.  Because this exact
same part worked with our 2012 configurations.  Do you see anything here that may be the problem, or anything new/replaced for 2012 R2?

  • Intel vPro AMT integration with SCCM 2012R2 - Issues with SCCM finding the "ConfigMgr AMT Web Server Certificate"

    Good evening all,
    I'm attempting to get Intel SCS integrated with SCCM 2012 R2 and I have both sides working, doing what they do best, however, I have issues when I try to mate the two. I started with a single server for the site and then tackled the Intel side with success,
    then I added another site server to run the Out of Band service point and Enrollment point. Up until this point I've had no issues with certificate templates, or issuance of those certs. 
    I have re-read the TechNet documents a few times regarding the PKI setup, some Intel documentation and three step by step articles and non of them seem to differ so I can't understand why I'm unable to choose my "ConfigMgr AMT Web Server Certificate"
    when configuring the Out of Band Management Component Properties page.  The "AMT web server certificate template:" dialog shows my CA FQDN and CA name, but the certificate template list is always blank.  I've tried this from both the remote
    and local ConfigMgr consoles.  The site servers have rights on the CA to manage and issue certs, is there something I'm missing that isn't in the documentation or buried somewhere that I missed?  Is there a Application policy that should be on the
    cert that isn't mentioned anywhere?

  • Issue with CHAIN (FIELD) statements, apparently

    I have the following code for a screen:

    The user complains that the search help for sl_prcno doesn't work - which is true - but only when I don't heat ENTER after entering/choosing data in the screen for the rest of the fields (since this search help depends on the value inputed by the user for SL_MATNR, for instance). Indeed, if I provide a value for the material number field, which is stored as SL_MATNR, the variable keeps empty unless I hit ENTER before entering the search help.
    My question is: is the problem related to the way this has been coded - CHAIN/FIELD statements ? From what I read from the help, the FIELD statement is responsible for when the data inputed in the screen is passed to the global variable designed to that field - which seems to be exactly the problem (the global variable doesn't get the value unless the user hits ENTER before clicking on the search help).  Does this make sense/was this expected to work this way ? Or is there something I can do to fix this ?

    I had to implement a help system for a field which depends on the data on the other field, it doesn't have chains, and it has the same behaviour. It does not process the help unless the data in the first field has been validated by sap (and translated to upper case in the process).
    What I've noticed is that if you hit the button for the select-options fields instead of the f4 matchcode, SAP already validates prior entered data, so the help works as intended without pressing enter.

  • BPM Parallel Process with Exclusive Gateway

    Hi,
    I am facing issue with Exclusive Gateway in Parallel Process.
    Issu is, process always in In-Progress state at parallel Join. I mean process stops at Parallel Join and more over there are no errors in the process. If I delete Exclusive Gateway in Parallel process, the process is going to next level human task through Parallel Join. It means working fine.
    I have designed my process in such a way that, 1st task is Human Task ---> then Parallel Split with 2 Human tasks, out of one task performing throught Excusive Gateway and another one is just simple approval. Finally I am merging these two Human tasks using Parallel Join then finally triggerting Approval Human task, and closing the Process.
    Appreciate your quick suggestions to fix this issue.

    I have checked all the parallel tasks and all are in completed state. No errors.
    If I delete Exclusive Gateway it is working fine. I have checked step by step tasks in NWA, and every thing goes well.

  • Chromecast not functioning with Telstra Gateway Max (Technicolor TG799vac)

    Hello all,I've recently moved to a new address and signed on for telstra NBN and received a new modem/router from telstra,which was installed fine. I had my chromecast functioning fine at the old address but every attempt to connect it to the new network has failed with a message about a potential issue with the networks being unable to communicate. I am aware that this new modem gives two signals, one for 2.4 ghz and another for 5 ghz and that the chromecast only works on 2.4 ghz. I have tried various fixes on this forum, google forums and blogs to no success. I've tried: turning router and chrome cast offrestored chromecast to factory defaultdisabling guest networks (which were already off)adding the chromecast MAC address to the whitelistAP isolation is disabled (by default)Universal PnP is enabled (by default)Changing the channel number to various numbersdeleting and reinstalling the chromecast app on my phoneenuring no blockages between Chromecast and router (router/modem is in a cupboard)So far as i can tell, it is an issue with the gateway, as everything functioned fine before this new one. Any suggestions on what to try next?

  • Issue with SLA reports of Exchange 2010 MP in SCOM 2007 R2 !!

    Hi,
    I have issues with Exchange 2010 MP SLA reporting. Whenever report is run it fails on some or the other dataset(Outage**,SLAbyDAte etc.) When I digged in, I found that it is connecting to DW Exchange 2010 Availability tables + Planned maintainance +
    outage table. The tables were not available in the DW, not sure how it got removed. Initially I tried by uninstalling and installing MP(Exchange 2010  & Exchange 2010 reports both) if relevant tables get created automatically but it did
    not help and I was still facing the same issue. Then I tried to create the tables manually and check if it could resolve the issue. There was unique ID associated(different in different computer) with the name of most of the tables. I tool it from Exchange
    report data source which exists in reporting server. But I could see that table remain empty with no records there and SLA report start giving different issues stating table instances do not exist.
    Could anyone help me to restore the SLA report of Exchange 2010 MP ? How should I ensure that data start populating the tables ? I am also helpless here because we do not have correct DW dump to restore back to earlier when it was working fine.

    Based on my research, to correctly install the Correlation Engine, consider the following when you install the Exchange 2010 Monitoring Management Pack:
    Determine which server will host the Correlation Engine. While not strictly required, it's strongly recommended that the Correlation Engine be installed on the Root Management Server computer.
    Make sure that you download and install the Exchange 2010 Management Pack that matches the operating system for the selected server. You can install the 32-bit or 64-bit version.
    Make sure that you run the Microsoft Installer (.msi) package on the server where you want the Exchange 2010 Management Pack and the Correlation Engine to be installed.
    After the installation is complete, the Correlation Engine service will have been installed on the server, and the Management Pack files will have been copied to the
    System Center Management Packs folder. By default, the installation directory is C:\Program Files\System Center Management Pack.

  • Issue with SQL Agent when install SCOM 2012 R2

    Hi all,
    i'm try to install SCOM 2012 R2 with all components (Mgmt Server, Operation Console, Web Console, Reporting Server)
    Everything is fine, except Reporting Server. I have attached the picture below
    I have also check the SQL Server Agent in SQL Server Configuration Manager. It has already started. But... i dont know why?
    Is there anyone know what wrong it is??

    i have checked again in Repoting Services Configuration Manager & change the database to the local SCOM
    Cause i'm using database for management server, dataware house on SCCM. So reporting service automatic set the database on SCCM also.... :(
    So now i will show everyone who try to install SCOM
    For the Management & DatawareHouse database --> you could install on any SQL Server (open port 1433)
    For the Reporting Services:
    On the local SCOM, install SQL Server with these components (SQL Engine: SQL Agent; SQL Reporting)
    After install SQL successfully, login to the Reporting Services Configuration Manager to set:
    First, create the new database on local SCOM
    Second, Web Service URL. login to the IIS to create self-signed certification for own SCOM. then turn back too Web Service URL to create SSL Certification
    Set SQL Agent service to Automatic, then start
    so, that's all. I'm crazy with this issue for a whole day :)

  • Issue with Excel data-chains via SharePoint

    I'm having issues with a coulpe of Excel (2010) data-chains through SharePoint at my work. When i set up a chain it shows for instance [Sheet2.xlsx] and fetches data just fine. But when I close and re-open the sheets, the chain code is changed to the
    entire http-adress, such as "http://company.com/controlling/[Sheet2.xlsx], and gives a VALUE-error instead of fetching the data.
    Is my problem connected to Excel or Sharepoint? And what can i do to make the chains work?

  • Issues with running Server 2012R2 Essentials as an Offline Standalone Root CA?

    Hi everyone,
       I've searched this forum as well as Google and have not been able to find any concrete answers so I am hoping one of you experts will be able to assist me.  
       I have an all Windows 2008 server/domain enviroment.   I was looking at implementing a two-tier PKI with an offline, standalone root CA and an enterprise issuing CA (2008 member server).   Budgets are tight so I was hoping
    I could get away with using Server 2012R2 Essentials as the offline standalone root.  
       It is my understanding that 2012 Essentials is configured as a DC by default and needs to remain that way per licensing.   I know the recommended configuration for an offline root would be to have the server be in a workgroup and not
    on a domain.
       So question 1 is will 2012 Essentials work as an offline standalone root?
       Question 2 is will there be any issues with it running as described?   In other words will the fact that it is the sole DC in its own domain cause issues with its use as an offline root?

    The essentials experience role runs on server standard and is very different from the essentials product in both licensing and pricing. While you can indeed buy standard and deploy the essentials experience role as a "standalone" server, there
    would be ZERO benefit in a PKI offline root scenario the essentials role has no automation or configuration options in the dashboard for that use case, and pricing, you'd still be paying for server standard.
     The essentials product (or SKU) has the benefit of reduced cost, but cannot be deployed standalone and has enough other restrictions that it is not well suited for the given desired use.
    So either way, my answer stands. Essentials (prodct it role) is not the right tool for the job in this case.

  • An issue with authentication and authorization on ISE 1.2

    Hi, I'm new to ISE.
    I have an issue with authentication and authorization.
    I have ISE 1.2 plus patch 6 installed on VMware.
    I have built-in Windows XP supplicant and 2960 cisco switch with IOS c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-2.SE5.bin
    On supplicant I use EAP(PEAP) with EAP-MSCHAP v2.
    I created  authentication and authorization rules with Active Directory  as External Identity Source. Also I applied  authorization profile with DACL.I login on Windows XP machine under different Active Directory accounts. Everything works fine (authentication, authorization ), but only for several hours. After several hours passed , authentication and authorization stop working . I can see that ISE trying authenticate and authorize users, but ISE always use only one account for  authentication and authorization . Even if I login under different accounts ISE continue to use only one last account.
    I traied to reboot switch and PC,but it didn’t help. Only rebooting of ISE helps. After ISE rebooting, authentication and authorization start to work properly for several hours.
    I don’t understand is it a glitch or I misconfigured ISE or switch, supplicant?
    What  should I do to resolve this issue?

    Yes. Tried that (several times) didn't work.  5 people in my office, all with vers. 6.0.1 couldn't access their gmail accounts.  Kept getting error message that username and password invalid.  Finally solved the issue by using Microsoft Exchange and "m.google.com" as server and domain and that the trick.  Think there is an issue with imap.gmail.com and IOS 6.0.1.  I'm sure the 5 of us suddently experiencing this issue aren't the only ones.  Apple will figure it out.  Thanks.

    I got a Cisco 871 Router that I'd like to use for internet connection. My LAN network is 192.168.1.0/24 and the ISP has assigned us the IP 41.212.79.108/24 and gateway 41.212.79.1.

    2 wireless routers can not communicate wirelessly with each other.
    You need to connect cable between 2 routers and use the second wireless router as access point.
    Follow this link to connect Linksys router to another router.
    Some of your devices are getting same IP address. This might be the issue with DHCP server of the router. You can try DHCP reservation on the router so that each device will get unique IP address.
