Info about Element entry values for an element
Hi
Im trying to get info on something. Im supposed to get entry values for a certain Sc med element.
Now i know that the entry values reside in pay_element_entry_values_f.
The values i need are for the input EE Contr
Now when i query the pay_element_entry_values_f table I see that the screen entry value for the input EE Contr is null.
But when i use the screens to look at the value in the EE Contr and ER Contr i see values in double quotes in red like "377.22".
The Pay value is null which is why i see null in the pay_element_entry_values_f screen entry value column.
I wanna know how i can pull that value(in red double quotes) in an sql query.I mean do we know which table these seemingly default values are stored in?
Ive already tried using record history and other things to get it.but the tables i see are null.
Any help in getting this info is much appreciated.
Thanks
JThis value can be obtained from pay_input_values_f and the data u see in " " in red color is due to the Hot default flag checked.

Prashanth

BEx web report selection screen entries retain when closing and opening the report again
Hello all,
please help me in the below query.
Till last month the entries we made in BEx web report selection screen are retained in the selection screen even when we close the web report and open it again from portal without logging off. But recently this functionality is missing and the entries in selection screen are not remembered when we close and open the same report again. It is a good feature for the users. Have you come across this issue?No...I think i can reframe the question very clearly......For ex: we are opening a Bex Web report...so initally we would be prompted by the variable selection screen...in which we have to give the entries(Values) for those variables like Cal month, Sales org, Company code, etc.....Later on the report will get open based on the values we have given......
Now if we close the particular report without logging off then if i try to open the same report that selected values are missing.....earlier it used to remember the values we have given until we log off....But now that functionality is missing....It was very useful feature.....Can you please tel me what can be done to resolve this??
I hope the explanation would be clear now. -
Module-pool screen field value under POV event
Hi All,
I have one issue...please suggest me solution for this.
In module-pool program i have one screen(1000) which has one field(hrname_1000).
Under this event:
PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
FIELD hrname_1000 MODULE hrname_1000.
under this module hename_1000 i have used F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST to put a search help for field hrname_1000.
after that i am trying to retrive HR related stuff's based on the field on module-pool i.e i am using hrname_1000 in the where condition.
but problem is that im not getting value for hrname_1000 which im giving in the module-pool screen.
thats y my select query is not working.
Where as im getting values for the hrname_1000 under PBO & PAI.
It will look like below.
PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
FIELD hrname_1000 MODULE hrname_1000.
(under the above module)
SELECT DISTINCT ename plans FROM pa0001 INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE itab WHERE stell = '50001026'.
LOOP AT itab INTO wa WHERE ename = hrname_1000.
ENDLOOP.
Please suggest
Thanks & regards
AnsumeshIn some of the cases the screen field is present in the screen but not holding the value in the required structure or field.
so here u need to check the option of reading the screen field values explictly..
//once u hit an enter and do the f4 i think the value will be there ...but if u dont hit enter and do an F4 the value cannot hold and i think u r in this case ..
1.Fill the screen field name in the structure dynpread.
DATA: BEGIN OF DYNP_VALUES OCCURS 10.
INCLUDE STRUCTURE DYNPREAD.
DATA: END OF DYNP_VALUES.
DYNP_VALUES-FIELDNAME = 'HRNAME_1000'.
APPEND DYNP_VALUES.
* read screen values
CALL FUNCTION 'DYNP_VALUES_READ'
EXPORTING
DYNAME = HELP_REPID "call the repid of ur prog
DYNUMB = HELP_DYNNR "pass the screen number
TABLES
DYNPFIELDS = DYNP_VALUES
EXCEPTIONS
OTHERS = 1.
now dynp_values hold the field name and field value of the screen .
now
SORT DYNP_VALUES BY FIELDNAME.
READ TABLE DYNP_VALUES WITH KEY 'HRNAME_1000' BINARY SEARCH.
IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0.
HELP_XXXX = DYNP_VALUES-FIELDVALUE. "store the value into a variable
TRANSLATE HELP_XXXX TO UPPER CASE.
ENDIF.
Now check the code with the value if its getting populated which once there will make ur select work ..

Hi,
We have a requirement where, in the Selection Screen of the Query we have to show a Table, the data will be fetch from a Info Object. There will be a last column for taking data from the User.
Once the selection screen is filled and executed Report will be outputed.
This can be achieved in R/3 ABAP by using Table Control on the screen.
but have no idea how this can be achieved in BW.
Can anyone help me out ?Hi Muthu,
Thanks for replying. Let me explain the scenario little more in detail.
We have a selection screen which will have some slection fields and a table like structure for displaying some values by default. When the execute button is pressed the final report is generated.
There is no link between table structure and the final report except one of the coulmn field is used to derive a flag value in the final report.
The problem we are facing is how the Selection fields and table structure be displayed when the Report transaction is called.

For version field, default there is no F4 key. So, i have written code like after entering the PO number when we press the enter key, for the corresponding PO, it brings the version no in input field. But my problem is it is displaying the values for version field, but when i select some value it is not getting updated in selection-screen version field. How to add customize message on the variable selection screen in the query
Hi all,
Can we add an customise message on the variable selection screen in the query? If yes please let me know how it can be achevied?
Thanks,
RaniHi Rani,
I faced a similar issue (for what I understand your request is).
My requirement for the Variable Screen was to do:
1) place a link to a ppt file
2) remove buttons "Save", "Save As...), "Delete"... the standard buttons come when running the Query or WebTempl
We were using a Web Templ for BI7.0
I struggled trying to find out how to do it. My conclusions are:
- WAD, not sure we can accomplish it using a Web Template but i did not "play" a lot with the Web_Template Properties in order to know
- XHTML, I was told in my post HTML modification was the way, but I have close to nil background in HTML and couold not find the way of accessing the Variable Entry screen
For instance, I had to remove similar buttons and change some font size from a link on the Web Template (WAD), which was pretty straight forward. In WAD the buttons come with its own icon and to increase the Font size for that link we used XHTML (<font size="2" >). But the heck of the variable screen...well, i just did not get trhough to it to modify it in any way.
Good luck,
Definetly in a Query I would say that no.

ORA-01722: invalid number performing List of Values query
I have a situation here where I want to pass string value(available in search field) to POP up key LOV on another page as default value.
I passed item value in default field in POPup key LOV item.I am able to see string value but It also gave me following error.
Error: ORA-01722: invalid number performing List of Values query: "select CUSTOMER_NAME, CUSTOMER_ID from (select customer_name, customer_id from hed_customers) wwvlovinlineviewname where CUSTOMER_ID = :WWV_LOV_RETURN_KEY_UTIL_1111".
Without Default value, it work like champ.
Please suggest how to get rid of this error
Thanks in advanceI hit the same problem.
The thing is that, in APEX, a 'null' value in a form is not really null but gets passed on as '%'.
When that gets compared to a number, 01722 will occur.
A workaround is to define a 'value if null' that is an implicit number, like '-1'.
And lets hope no one ever uses that as a real ID...
Cheers

Hi All,
I am facing a problem with selection screen parameter.
I have one file parameter p_fname TYPE rlgrap-filename OBLIGATORY.When I enter some file path and excute I will get the result and once again when I start to execute the program I expect the previous value(file path) should be available for this file parameter that has entered on the selection screen but I am not getting that.
I dont find any parameter id for this field data element.
Please let me know how to do this?
Best Regards
