Script/Procedure to Deploy RPD & Catalog

Hi,
Am looking to find ways to "Automized" the deployment of 'RPD' as well as 'Catalog' in OBIEE 11G, would like to know if any one has tried it?
Is there a way, to create a Batch, Ant Script, which will make the necessary changes?

PS: Am aware of the process of deployment through Weblogic Consol, but looking forward to explore the opprotunity to automize this process as well.

Trying to deploy RPD thru EM, following standard procedure which I have been doing for long enough but now hit this issue, there is not much that I can understand in this any help would be appreciated:

In any of the RPD deployments I'm getting the same error , not for some particular RPD .
FYI , yesterday (before this issue) I had a issue with starting presentation services , so as adviced in forum I replaced the files sawguidstate and sawguidstate.atrin the location:
<Instance_Home>\instances\<instance_name>\bifoundation\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\catalog\<project>\root\system\mktgcache\<name>
with the same files from a backup or from another working OBIEE 11g (11.1.5)instance.

Error while deploying RPD in OBIEE 11g (11.1.1.3)

Hi Friends,
At times while deploying RPD in OBIEE 11g, I am getting an error, "_*Supplementary information regarding operation: DOMAIN, UNEXPECTED_ERROR;/tmp/zipped-directory.zip (Permission denied)*_".
We have installed OBIEE over a LINUX machine. I tried to locate this file in the server but was not able to find any such thing. This error happens at random and I am unable to predict the occurrence of this error.
Can someone guide me how to resolve this issue?

But if you can't open EM, it will be very difficult and may be you must have to add resource (memory, ...) to your server.

Unable to Edit Dashboard as Administrator (Merged RPD/Catalog)

Hi,
I am having trouble editing a dashboard that another developer created that was merged into our main RPD/Catalog.
It is one subject area (same DB schema), and one presentation catalog folder. I copied the RPD objects into our main RPD, copied the folder and *.atr file into the main Catalog.
When I log into answers, all of the newly added dashboards show up properly. However, if I click on Page Options, I have no link to Edit Dashboard - even logged in as Administrator. If I go to Manage Presentation Catalog, this folder does not have a security lock (permissions) icon next to it. If I go to Manage Interactive Dashboards, the place where permissions icon normally is shows a red cross instead.
I checked the OS level permissions for the catalog files to make sure they look the same as other dashboard/report files.
Any ideas on this?

1.Stop the Presentation Server.
2.Backup the instanceconfig.xml file at [middleware_home]/instances/instance1/config/OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent/coreapplication_obips1/instanceconfig.xml
3.Under the 'Catalog' section, add the 'Recover' tag. For Example:
<Catalog>
<UpgradeAndExit>false</UpgradeAndExit>
<UpdateAccountGUIDs>Recover</UpdateAccountGUIDs>
</Catalog>
4.Start the Presentation Server. It will perform a recovery and then after some time shutdown.
5.Remove the tag.
6.Start the Presentation Server again

Java Script Error while deploying a Model with Value Help

I am trying to deploy a model which includes the Value Help for an Input field, and i am trying to deploy this model.

I did a basic model with the help of a documentation which i got from this forums.I created a iView and from there i used Bapi "BAPI_SALESORDER ".
I created a Input Form and a outpot form (table view).I tested model and am able to get the output.but when i try to deploy it is giving me the error.
And i think am not paring any formulas here.

Is there a way to deploy RPD in OBIEE11g with out using Enterprise Manager because i have logged on to Enterprise manager and when i click on Business Intelligence/Coreapplication
Its take lots of time and still not going to next step.
can any one suggest me if there is way to increase the Enterprise manager access speed.
what is the reason its take such a long time?

I think FMW Control EM is the only way to deploy RPD in 11g as it controls the RPD versions. About the slowness of EM, not sure. You can try cleaning cache of the browser.

Error deploying RPD in OBIEE 11g

I am trying to deploy RPD in OBIEE 11g. Everything has been working fine then I had an error on trying to restart the server. Server Log returned the below message.
[13026] Error in getting roles from BI Security Service: 'Error Message From BI Security Service: PolicySet Invalid: WSM-06102 PolicyReference The policy reference URI "oracle/wss_username_token_service_policy" is not valid. '
[43065] The connection with Cluster Controller PIETRO_MAXIMOFF:9706 was lost.

Hi,
This kind of issues occur, when the application wsm-pm is not running. To resolve this, login to EM -> Application Deployments -> Internal Applications. The two applications wsm-pm on AdminServer and managed server should be up and running.

Migrate Rpd Catalog and User ,Groups from OBIEE 11.1.1.3.0 to 11.1.1.5.0

hi Guys,
I have got a setup of OBIEE 11.1.1.3.0 on windows 32bit machine and now i am planning to have a setup of 11.1.1.5.0 on windows 64 bit machine.
please tell me the Detailed steps for Migrating the Rpd Catalog and User ,Groups from OBIEE 11.1.1.3.0 to 11.1.1.5.0

1. Do i have to copy the RPD and Catalog Directly to 1.5 or some Upgrade Assistance is to be done
2. If i am Using the Export Provided in the myrelam ( in 1.3) and taking it to obiee 1.5 (as it already contains some inbuilt policies and groups) does it going to give me error

Job Scheduling for SQL Script procedure

Hi,
I am trying to activate an xsjob file with below format . But i am getting invalid file content error. Not sure where is the mistake. Unable to activate this xsjob file from my project explorer. Any inputs?
My SQL Script procedure is in package JobScheduler which is again in package opint. REF_INQTOORD is the name of the procedure.

I was facing the same issue and removing the extra comma fixed it.
However the extra comma is brought in with the template code that is provided in the Studio. Might be something to check and get removed from the template.

I dunt want to deploy the RPD files manually every time,so i need it automatically deploy to BI .Seems WLST can do it.Some one had tried this ?

How to run ssis 2012 package deployed on SSISDB using stored procedures from [SSISDB].[catalog] by regular AD accounts ?

Hello, I need to run ssis package by stored proc(pass parameters inside and get result using stored procedures [SSISDB].[catalog].[create_execution]) etc. Do not suggest me to use SQL Agent here as this is not the case. or by pass this using configuration
for SSIS, I need to know what permission I'm missing if those stored proc run by AD account, with rights described from BOL and I'm having "The current security
context cannot be reverted. Please switch to the original database where 'Execute As' was called and try it again." If I schedule stored proc to run by Agent and specify parameters - will work, from remote PC - does not. I have sysdamin
rights on the server where SSIS and stored proc which is call it exists. I was digging around and have ugly solution to make it working, I want to use elegant solution using those stored proc from [SSISDB].[catalog] ...
Any help especially from Microsoft guys here...?

If you schedule the job it will be running under SQL Server Agent account security.... What error
do you get when you run the SP from remote PC?
