Scroll Pane content doesn't work

ok, so i've got a movie with a scrollpane (god these things
are a hassle) on the stage. the movie tells the scrollpage to load
content from an outside swf called testes.swf (short for
testimonials). in testes.swf, there are a series of invisable
buttons on top of client testimonials. when you press the button,
it calls a startDrag for a movie that is sitting off the stage. the
button code is such:
on (press) {
hedy.startDrag(true);
hedy._visible = true;
on (rollOut) {
hedy._visible = false;
this all works fine then the testes.swf is previewed by
itself, but when it is loaded as content into the scrollPane, the
button functions don't work. is it a file path issue? please help
me! this is the last problem in a very frustrating process that has
beenthe creation of this project.

i wonder why i bother with this forum sometimes. i always end
up answering my own questions an hour later. so the problem was
that the testes.swf was using a startDrag function and the
scrollPane in which it resided has its startDrag set to true. i
guess you can't have both elements dragging at the same time. would
cause serious upset. so yeah, there you go.

How to re-position scroll pane contents?

I have a JSplitPane where the top half of the component contains a list of topics and the bottom half contains a scroll pane with a text area inside it. The user clicks a list item and the text for it is shown below it.
The problems is when the text area exceeds the viewable area, the bottom-most portion of the text is shown instead of the top-most portion. In other words, if the text contains 6 lines and the viewable area is 4 lines, I'm seeing lines 3-6 instead of 1-4.
One would think this is a very easy solution, such as:
SplitTextScrollPane.getVerticalScrollBar().setValue(0);
However, that doesn't work (at least not in JDK 1.3.0c). How do you programatically scroll the text back to the top line?

I'm still a little curious about how to manually control the position of a scrollpane's contents -- for example, when the scroll pane contains things besides a text area (such as a JList or something).

My scroll wheel click doesn't work anymore.

So, you know how you can open up something in a new tab in chromium by pushing the scroll wheel on your mouse in? Well, I used to be able to do that until recently and now it just flat out doesn't work.
Is this a hardware issue? My mouse is in fantastic shape and the scroll wheel works fine otherwise. I tried googling this but found some really old threads for xorg files that didn't exist or I don't know how to find.

X doesn't see you pushing it in. I'd check if it works in a different OS (e.g. Windows or Linux LIve CD).
Does the wheel move down when pressed? Maybe you could fix it by disassembling the mouse.

Scroll up function doesn't work at all.

My Blackberry Bold9930 is having some issues and it is my second one this one is about two months old. First of all it has a dead pixel and I know you can not do anything about that. The other issue is with the track pad in some windows scroll up/down function doesn't work at all but left to right works. In some windows the scroll up/down function it will but others will not WHY? Windows that the function will not work that I know of are any pop up winds and the tap page in the browser some options pages etc. Why is this? Yes I have done restarts latest software I have done everything.

Can you scroll using the touchscreen?
Whenever my trackpad scroll "sticks" or seems to not work, it's because I have too many browser windows open, or too many apps open. Which browser are you using?
Try closing apps, closing windows, and leaving open only those you are actually using at the time. A battery pull (quick pull in my case) usually cures a sluggish phone every time for me.

DPS HTML Content doesn't work anymore

a few weeks ago, I created two Single-Folio-Apps. In these apps I have placed HTML content in InDesign with the command "Insert HTML". I so placed <textarea>-fields among others. I set the HTML content to Auto Play and allowed user interaction. The folio app worked well and it was possible to write text into the textfields on the iPad and also on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1N (in the Adobe Content Viewer). On Monday I built the apps again, because I wanted to add a new iPad device for testing the app. And now it doesn't work anymore! The HTML content isn't even executed in the Folio! I placed another HTML content in InDesign - a simple text with a <strong>-tag - only for testing. The result: it also isn't executed! I only can see a black box on the page where this html content should be! How can this be? Further the app crashes always! How can I solve this problem? I really need help, because I'd like to present the apps to a client - actually this already should have happened! Please, can anyone help me?

Did you install the updated tools? There were issues with the original v25 release that affected HTML and buttons.

According to the error message you have posted I suspect there could be a hardware issue on your Notebook
It could be possible that the Hard Drive on the Notebook could be corrupted or it might have bad sectors
Please perform the Steps as shown below:
1. Turn OFF the Notebook
2. Power ON the Unit and keep tapping the Escape Key during the start up to enter the Start-up Menu
3. Now here, Please select the BIOS option [F10] and under the Advanced or Diagnostic tab
4. You should find the facility to run tests on both the Hard Drive and Memory
Note: Please perform these two tests and post back with the details of any error messages

Continuous scrolling in safari doesn't work

I've installed Mavericks and thought this feature will work. But it doesnt, neither with reading list nor with shared links. Even though there is a name of next article/link at the very bottom of the page, it does't scrolls further. Any idea what could be wrong?

I am having same problem on my mac pro, logitech wired mouse, scroll to next article is not working in safari shared links. Does somebody know some keyboard shortcut for scrolling those articles? Therefore I hope that apple will adress this issue and fix it in next update, because as graphic designer I am forced to use laser wired mouse.

Updating content doesn't work???

I'm using the Java Api. The problem is that I update the file's content and, in the same code, I list the folder contents showing document's size, last modified dates, etc.
Then, I use the web interface to see the results and...the files doesn't seem to be updated. What's happening? I've been making different tests and I've seen that the problem is the LibrarySession object (at least, I think so). The file's attributes aren't updated until you disconnect the session. How can I avoid this behaviour?
I'd like to maintain the session opened, but I'd like also to have the files updated.

Scrolling in preview doesn't work correctly

Since I updated to Mavericks, the scrolling in preview sometimes freezes. Is it a bug in 10.9? I have this problem on my iMac 27" (late 2012) and on my Macbook Pro Retina (15", 2013) as well. Is there anything I can do to remove this bug?

Now I have another problem maybe you can help me?
I want a fixed header and footer with the imprint in the footer and logo in the header.
If I add a text frame on my master page and check them as footer the footer is fixed. Doing the same for the header logo/text is not fixed? Do you know why?

Adobe Flash Player installed, but content doesn't work

Adobe Flash Player works after I install it, but then
evenually it stops working. I have tried lots of support methods,
including downloading Microsoft's tool to fix permission errors. I
am using
Windows Vista Home Premium and the latest version of
Adobe Flash Player.
I noticed somewhere that there was an old thread like this
with someone having the same problem. I saw that someone who
replied showed a screenshot of what the permissions for
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT should look like. Interestingly, they
don't appear to match.

Suddenly I can not select anything within the top inch or so of any web page. The scroll bar arrow doesn't work at the top. I don't know what to do. I tried updating my browser but the problem still exists.

Everything worked fine on Tues. I shut down my system and then on Wed. morning, the problem appeared. Anything within the top inch or so of a webpage is unavailable to select. It is like there is an inch of the page that is dead. It is that way on every website that I visit with Firefox. It does not happen if I use internet explorer, which I do not like and do not want to have to go back to using. Please help!!! My sister in law has the same problem with firefox.

Specifying text font in a scroll pane

Below is a fragment of code that attempts to display text in a scroll pane. Basically this works OK, except for the following:
1. Changing the font doesn't seem to make any difference. I tried "Arial", as shown, and "Curier", the display looks identical in both cases.
2. Multiple blank spaces are replaced by a single blank space. So that "Baa baa" is displayed as "Baa baa".
I would like to be able to display messages with many lines of text in a scroll pane preserving the format if possible, which relies on the blank spaces. I hope you can suggest how to do this better.

sorry, responded by email and it left off message. i guess my answer would be by code, but dragged from component panel. one unprofessional, uneducated workaround was putting a black box behind the text/graphics in other frames so it would cover up the scroll pane that doesn't go away.
on previous thread you asked...
are you adding your scrollpane with code? if yes, remove it (removeChild, remove listeners and null it) with code. if no, add an empty keyframe in the scollpane's layer after the keyframe where it's added.
below is the code followed by what's resulting after clicking the "next" button

Scrollable content (pan option) with hyperlink doesn't work

Hello, I'm trying to layout a page to scroll horizontaly with an hyperlink to a web site. I've followed the steps given in the digitalpubsuite_help.pdf (Page 51 - Last updated 1/25/2012).
After grouping the image and the hyperlink, I cut it and I paste it into my container frame, but it's there when my container frame doesn't show me the Pan option in the folio builder (it's desactivated) and it remains with the option Web Content active.
So, I tried to do the same thing, but using a button instead of an hyperlink, but it doesn't work either. And in this case I have the message 'content generation error: invalid URL for web content overlay' when I try to update my article.
Could somebody help me to figure out why this is happening? What am I doing wrong? Thank you

No, it takes this property (web content overlay) once I paste the content into the frame. I also noticed that when I group my image with the hyperlink all my group become an hyperlink. I've already reseted it as you say but it didn't work!!!!
