Scrowing with touchpad not working when pdf file is opened in one of the the browsers tabs

When I have a .pdf open from one of the browser's tabs I am not able to scroll with my touch pad in the rest of the browser's tabs. Once I close the tab with the pdf everything is working fine. I using Firefox on my Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop.

Have you checked to see if your PDF add-on is up to date? You should take a look at the [[Opening PDF files within Firefox]] Knowledge Base article. There is a lot of good information in there. You should try both of the suggested PDF add-ons to see if that fixes the issue.

In above situation communication is not establised when a funtion which is retruning boolean is called from flash using
ExternalInterfcae.call.The return value of this function is getting as false inside flash.But the value is true in javascript.

Note that you have different file names for the object (images/banner.swf) and the embed (images/banner1.swf)
You also placed the embed in the middle of a param tag and nested all param tags.
Because you didn't include a MIME type and the object doesn't have a classid for an ActiveX control for IE, I'm not sure what Firefox will be using.<br />
The object doesn't have a data attribute to specify the file.<br />
A separate embed is only needed when you specify a classid in the object.

I just installed Photoshop CC 2014, but Latest version of Bridge will not work when I want to open it from PS

Any idea why is Bridge latest version not working when trying to open it in Photoshop CC 2014 ? (French version) ? When trying, Creative Cloud app will open to ask if I want to download newest version, which I did numerous times now.

Here's how a similar problem was resolved between PS and BR.
The issue was confirmed by ChunXiaYang at Adobe staff and solution put in the forum discussion on June 19 (no. 13). Here's a copy:
I have confirmed that this is a known issue before release. And the workaround is to uninstall and reinstall PS 2014. Then Bridge can be launched by selecting 'Browse in Bridge' in PS2014.

I did this with a fresh install of the entire CC package. As soon as the CC packages updated, CC Bridge broke. Unistalled CC PS, reinstalled again, CC Bridge works, but CC PS updates itself again, and breaks CC Bridge.
You know... The whole move to CC has been a massive cluster... I've struggled with the CC packages for my entire subscription year, and now I'm 1.5 month away from needing to throw down another $720 for no reason what-so-ever, just so we can Beta test your really screwed up subscription services.

When pdf file is opened with Adobe reader, it shows extra whitespace after "w"

I am unable to attach the pdf file here. But my pdf file is having a hyperlink "http://www.google.co.in/". When i open it with Adobe reader, its shown as "http://w w w .google.co.in/", if the same pdf file is opened in some other pdf reader, the link is properly shown and i can click over it to browse. This is a bug in Adobe Reader.
Please revert back mentioning where should i attach the pdf file.

I have created the pdf files using txTextControl.ServerTextControl
The additional space after the "w" is a result of charaster spacing, there is no whitespace in pdf file after "w"
If i open the same pdf in some other pdf reader like Sumatra pdf reader, it gets opened without any white space after "w".
However, there is no space after the "w" in the PDF document, its the adobe reader issue.

Try the stamdard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

Hyperlinks from converted excel file are not working after pdf file is moved

I have created a pdf file from an excel file that has hyperlinks in it. The hyperlinks work fine if the files are all kept in the same exact location as the time they were created. Once the files are moved (i.e. emailed to another user) the hyperlinks no longer work. An error message pops up that the file can not be found. Is there a setting or something that I'm missing in acrobat that allows for the files to be moved, so that the hyperlinks still function properly, after creation

No settings adjustments.
The issue is that links, once made, have a specific path (as shown when you view the link's text string).
When you email the files the person who recieves the email and downloads the attachments would have to have the same layout of files/folders you have.
Without that links are "broken"
You email a zip file that, when extracted, would create the folders/files in the required layout to reflect what you have.

Pdf buttons not working when pdf loads in browser

I have a pdf with buttons which work fine. Once pdf is put on our website and you click on it, it opens in firefox ok but none of the buttons work.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions... FF wanted to provide their users an easy-to-use, built-in PDF viewer, which is good. Problem is that developing a fully compatible PDF viewer is a very complex task that requires a lot of time and effort, so they decided (it seems) to settle for something that's "good enough". So now users are stuck with something that usually does an OK job when it comes to just displaying a simple PDF file, but as soon as you have a more complex file (for example, one with form fields) it breaks down entirely and either fails to load the file at all, or does so incorrectly, and the developers are left sorting out the mess...

why i cannot drag and drop any file when using safari , and what happens the file auotmatically open while i need to upload it only , extra for that , i cannot write any remark or fill a space while using website related to my work.
my work is to upload drawing files using dwf file to a website so the other parties can review and give me review , and then i reply to the remark at the same place and make meeting through the same site.
please any body can give any way to correct my mac.
latelly i installed win7 only to use it for that website , and iam now changing from mac to win whenever i want to work , this not acceptable to me because it is waste of time beside i like the mac and it working with other application but not for safari.

I'm sorry, but every OS is different. You cannot expect all features of one to be in another. Or alternatively, for similar features, be done it the exact same way.
It looks to me after a quick google search that winexplorer is basically the moral equivalent of the mac's finder to present the file system in different ways. The OSX Finder also has alternative views of the file system, i.e., icons, list, columns. Experiment with the list and column views and see if one of them are more to your liking.
As for winexplorer on the mac. I don't know if this simulates it or not but there is a program called Macintosh Explorer so check that out as well.
And finally, in the end, as I said in my earlier post, no matter what, nothing on the mac is going to change what I believe you think you can do and drop a file on a browser window and expect it to upload.

"Open With" CS3 not working for JPEG file

Operating system is XP. I am trying to get CS3 to automatically open all JPEG files when I double click on them in windows explorer.
I open windows explorer, right click on the image that I want to open, then click "open with" ....
...at this point CS3 is not one of the choices on the "open with" menu so I already smell a problem ....
..... so I click "choose program" and navigate to the adobe photoshop cs3 folder and point to photoshop.exe, then click the "always use the selected program" box, click open, and bada-boom, bada-bing, the image opens in photoshop CS3, right? WRONG.
The image opens in the Quicktime Picture Viewer program and NOT IN PHOTOSHOP CS3.
I feel that I have entered the Twilight Zone, otherwise known as The Adobe Messed Up Someting In The Registry Upon CS3 Install Zone. Does anyone have any hints on how to get PS CS3 working as the default program for JPEGs when I double click them from explorer on my XP computer?

After a long search I found the answer:
To associate all jpeg files with Photoshop CS3 so that they will open into CS3 when double clicked:
Click Start, Run and type in: Control Folders.
Click the file Types Tab.
Wait for the list of file types to populate.
Single click on the jpeg file type.
Click the Advanced button.
Highlight open and click the edit button.
Browse to the location of photoshop.exe in the CS3 folder.
A few OK's and you are done.
AND ANOTHER THING .........
After the change above was made, jpg files would open directly to photoshop cs3 when doubleclicked, but the maintained the same goofy quicktime pictureviewer icon when viewed in windows explorer. To change the icon for jpeg files displayed in all folders to the photoshop icon, do this:
Start / My Computer
Click Tools at the top of the screen.
Click folder options .... then the file types tab
Click on jpeg in the list and click the advanced button
Click change icon and browse to the photoshop.exe for CS3
A list of ocon choices will appear .... I chose the second row first icon
A couple of OKs and you are done

i have a macbook that was resantly upgrade we running Yosemite 10.9 OS and the external hard drive is fairly current brand name WD capacity 500GB with 147GB free lots of its contents are QuickTime Player videos that will like to open some other media is available in different format and is working properly, i have download a more current version of QuickTime Player and it sound better at list sound like it is going to star playing but it don't... so please if some one can help me with some answers will be real appreciate , thank you kindly looking forward to hear from you is my first time asking questions about apple it feels a bit like a shoot in the dark !

Is the friend's external drive where you said these files are, correctly formatted
for use with Mac OS X, or is it set up for use solely with a Windows format?
If you copy one of the QuickTime files into a folder, in your computer and try
to run it from there, does it work at that point? It may not. Could be the drive
you borrowed from a friend has some other issue; perhaps creator account
and permissions may also be limited by how the content was added there.
There is way too much missing information for me to guess, but I wonder about
how the hardware was set up and if the files are actually available to your Mac.
The QuickTime support page itself should be a portal to more information...

You need to upload an image "pdf.gif" in \etc\public\mimes\images folder.
Also, you need to define the MIME Type for PDF documents in portal.
Navigate to System Administration -> System Configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> Utilities -> MIME Types.
Check whether you already have a MIME Type for PDF or not. Else you can create a new Type "pdf" with MIME Type "application/pdf".

Issue with Reminders not working when setting it to arrive or leave a location in iOS7.

Tried everything: Called support and reset All setting. Made sure all "location settings" are set. Restored via iTunes as a new phone, checked all setting again, set a reminder to remind me to get gas when I leave my home, and it never reminded me. Also, doesn't remind when I arrive at a location. I have tried this with my wifes phone (iPhone 5) and my daughters (iPhone 4) all running iOS7 and it doesn't work. I never had this issue with iOS6. All other locations services like GPS, maps, & weather working fine. I strongly believe it's a iOS7 bug. Has anyone else experianced this issue?

Jump to page 5. There is a solution by ben812 that initially worked for me, but after restarting my phone I was back to square one.
I visited the local Genius Bar, and they claim they have not heard of this problem. Whether that is true or not, they know now. One of the employees confirmed that WiFi would need to be on, as the location service checks it first (before using GPS). Seems like a bug, but for now having WiFi on and leaving Reminders running in the background seems to solve the issue.
I hope Cupertino addresses this in an upcoming iOS release.

Thumbnail preview is not working for pdf file in KM

I have upload one pdf file. I have changed profile of one KM content folder from System Default to Thumbnails(For that Click on context menu of folder-> settings-> presentation->click on Select Profile ->check on Thumbnails-> Click on OK) but it is not changed. Rest of other file format's(gif etc) icon is changing.

Blank page when pdf files are opened in reader 9

I have an issue with reader 9 and opening pdf files in internet explorer 7. A large number of computers on my network loose the ability to open pdf files in internet explorer 7.
When this event happens and after uninstalling Adobe reader 9, and doing a reinstall I am able to view these files normally. However the problems returns within a day.
I am looking for clues as to what could be breaking the ability to view pdf file in internet explorer 7.
