Search attatchments GOS

Hi Gurus,
I would like to know if there are any tcode to find documents created with GOS attachments.
I see tcode oaad but this tcode is for search documents of Archive link.
I see tcode cv04n but this tcode is for search document of dms, but not attachments uploads with GOS.
Can you help me??

Hi,
You can use FM 'BDS_GOS_CONNECTIONS_GET' to get list of attachments for an GOS Object.
For example.
export parameters for 'BDS_GOS_CONNECTIONS_GET' to get attachments list for PO documents.
LOGICAL_SYSTEM <your logical system name>
CLASSNAME BUS2012
OBJKEY 0000000410 - po number
CLIENT 001
To get the logical system name you canuse FM OWN_LOGICAL_SYSTEM_GET

Adding attachments to a Parked cuetomer invoice(FBV2)

Material master drawing attachment

Dear all,
I want to attached PDF drawings to material master. But i want scenario like if once i link drawing in mm master then it will automatically attached with all documents like PR PO which is created for the particular material.
No need to attached again and again in PR and PO please guide me for the same.
I searched all forum it doesn't work for me.

Using DMS(Document Management System) it must be possible. I have not used it. Please check.

Uploading picture to the material master data

Hi friends,
I searched the forum about this subject, however there are mostly answers related to retail sector.
I'd like to learn if ECC 6.0 could only itself is able to this. I mean is ECC 6.0 enough to add pictures to material master data or is there any configuration or customization requirement for that?

DMS for PM

Dear Friends,
Please answer the query as mentioned below :-
If we attach a document to specific equipment number, and want to display in the listing of other componenets such as, Notification list display (IW29), in the same screen and maintenance order display (IW39). Wherever the document is attached with equipment and when that equipment is attached in any notification, in IW29, one column should be there in std. screen showing if any document is attached with that notification.
Does any functionality in SAP can be explored to have an indication of attached document in these t- code.

If you simply want to attach a document along with any transaction, you can make use of GOS (Generic Object for Services)..
In most of the transactions, you can see a small icon at top left corner - Services for Object- in that you can attach soft files..
Only thing, user wont be able to know whether anything is attached or not, unless he clicks there and check on "View attachment".., But you can do some enhancement and show a button in the screen, if someone has created an attachment..
There were several old threads in this forum, give search on GOS and you can get more related information ..
Other option is "Object linking", you have to check whether any standard objects are there for the same..

I have build a custom transaction for GL master, the requirement is that i need to provide a attachment functionality to attach a
documents like in standard trasactions(attaching a documents in Va02). How can i achieve this functionality?

Hi,
I think you have to use GOS service. Search for GOS. check the below thread or debug the standard transaction, you can find FMs

Search DIR for which GOS is used

Dear Friends,
I want to perform a search for DIRs for which users have used GOS to attach files. please let me know if there are any link tables between DRAW and GOS.
Presently GOS is not disabled for DMS, hence users are able to attach files using create attachments option.

All DIR"s are saved in same place and same records either uploaded using LSMW,GOS or any other way.
You can't serach or differentiate based on this , once uploaded.

Display GOS without click on 'Service for Object' button

Please try the following step to figure out.
1) VA03
2) At header of report (on the left hand side of 'Display S/O SysB SDI xxxxxxxxx:Overview' ) has a button called 'Services for Object' (GOS)
3) Click on that then it will popup icon menu set. <--- Want this to be displayed when access VA03 by no need to click the button in 2)
My requirement is I want this popup to be displayed suddenly after I access VA03 (no need to click on the Services for Object button anymore).

Could you please provide me any solution, function, example, similar case, etc. (based on 4.6c)?

Events available in Generic Object Services (GOS)?

Hello everybody
Searched around in SDN and also tried to find something useful in our system (SWO1) but can't find useful information on GOS events so I guess it probably doesn't exist?
I'm searching a way to catch GOS events when someone adds, changes or deletes an attachment (URL) in the generic object services of an object, e.g. for a material master (BUS1001006). I'd like to create a change document for this and based on that to trigger some further processing for one of our interfaces.
Anybody out there knowing how to achieve this?

There's a couple of BaDIs with GOS names such as GOS_SRV_REQUEST that might help. Otherwise I'd try using SE30 with lots of logging options set on to trace where you may be able to grab this info from. GOS subscriptions may be another thing to look at.

Changing the Attachment List of Generic Object Services (GOS)

Dear Experts,
i want to add columns to the attachment list of GOS depending of the given objecttype. The data to be displayed is from a customer-append of different TOAXY-tables. I want to use the functionality of the standard attachmentlist, but the type of the displayed table is defined as SGOS_ATTA and cant be reached directly because of the data-encapsulation.
Is there anybody with experience in changing the attachment list in the above mentioned way?
Do i have to modify all the used classes of the attachmentlist, or are there any customer-exits/badis that can help me to reach my goal?
Or should I implement my own service from the scratch?
I hope you can help me, i searched the web for about 3 days now...

I found following Solution:
I copied the following classes and changed them in some way to fit my requirements:
1.CL_GOS_ATTACHMENTS
2.CL_GOS_SRV_ATTACHMENT_LIST
3.CL_LIST_BROWSER
Changes to the Classes:
1.Type of the attribute GO_INSTANCE changed to ZCL_GOS_ATTACHMENTS.
   Changed method INIT_BROWSER:
go_browser ?=
    zcl_list_browser=>zcreate_browser( cl_browser=>gc_list_browser ).
2.Type of the attribute GO_ATTACHMENT_LIST changed to ZCL_GOS_ATTACHMENTS
3. Copied Method CREATE_BROWSER of Class CL_BROWSER to ZCREATE_BROWSER:

Attach doc from external content server- using Generic Object Service (GOS)

Dear All,
i have intergrated an external content server to SAP using SAP archive link. All the scanned document are there in Content server and corresponding entries are done in SAP.I can search and view document using tcode : OAAD
Please tell me steps for "how to attach a document from external content server using Generic Object Service "
Scenario is : For example when we change any Master records or create a new PO, or do some financial transaction then i need to attach the supporting document which is there in my content server connected to SAP.how do we manual attach a Document in SAP using GOS.
Do we need to do some special configuration to use GOS .please give the steps from initial.

Hello,
Check your configuration of document type assignement to required business document - object type, Archivelink table, content repository in OAC3 transaction.
Goto respective business document > Click on GOS > Create > Store business document - Here you can see defined document type with desctiption. Double click on this the assign your document to this business document. Save it.
This will help in attaching the document to your required business document.
To verify you can check the archivelink table or by transaction OAAD.

TREX - Generic Object Services (GOS) - CV04N -Content Server

Hello,
I'v installed a content server / maxdb, and i forwarded the attached files (Gos) to this content repository.
I'v installed TREX and I can see the fields in the CV04N.
Just one question :
Can I search some documents via TREX (CV04N), or what is the best practice for storing the attachments and search it with TREX ?

Once the Content Server is installed,set the Content Server for indexing preparation:
-Start the function Monitoring for Knowledge Provider (transaction code SKPR07).
-Enter the document class DMS_PCD1.
-Select Edit > Administration.
A dialog box appears where the following data is preset(if no,then please select the same):
1.Document Area
DMS
2.Administration table
DMS1DIDSTA
3.Class can be indexed
X
-Set the indicator: Setup indexing.
-Select in Customizing of Document Management the MIME types that you want to be read for the full text search; under General Data > Settings for storage systems > Create MIME types for full text search.
-Schedule the full text search for cyclical background preparation.
Execute transaction Start job (transaction code SM36).
Schedule the job for the following ABAP program: RSTIRIDX (Report for indexing stored documents).
Test retrieval document search using:
Transaction: SKPR07
Enter Document Class "DMS_PCD1", Language "EN", Document Class "DMS",and try "TEST search".

Problem GOS read_links of "follow-on" BKPF document

Hello,
I have problem reading GOS links ( with CL_BINARY_RELATION=>read_links or any similar methods/FMs ) of FI document (type BKPF).
In SRGBTBREL table there are also no entries for this BKPF document (in INSTID_A).
BUT I can see attachments + notes in FB03 Attachment list for this document.
After debbuging FB03 Attachment list I have found, that BKPF document does not have directly attached files, even though I can see them in FB03. Because it is "follow-on document" for invoice (which have some attached files), and there is also WF and PO in relationship browser (they have also another attachments, seen in FB03).
FB03 GOS attachment list prepares all these objects (document,invoice,WF,PO..) and reads attachments for all of them.
My question - how to read these links / attachments when I know only BKPF document in my program? Do I have to somehow programaticaly search for previous objects (invoice, PO, WF..) and after it read their attachments? I Thought that it is done automaticaly by CL_BINARY_RELATION=>read_links)...
Problem is on 731 release.

Ok, I answer to myself with what I found so far:
In FB03 attachments are obtained from bussines objects:
BKPF (document itself) - can be read by read_links, but in my case I have none attachmens on BKPF directly
BUS2081 (invoice) - can be read by read_links, but need use BKPF-AWKEY = RBKP-BELNR & GJAHR as key
I also found unreleased function FB_DOC_GET_GOS_LINKS which helped me a lot to understand where attachments come from.
In my case it was all from BUS2081 invoice. Few attachments directly attached in GOS (read by read_links method) and rest were attached on content server (can be read for example with ALINK_RFC_DOCUMENTS_GET).

Attachment search in CRM_BUS2000223

Hello,
SAP Note 1949699 lists a series of objects that can be configured to allow attachment search.
SAP Note 1950354 describes the configurations to be done in order to allow the search using BTDOCSET node.
However, these notes do not seem to allow attachment search in service requests CRM_BUS2000223.
In the ESH_MODELER, while enhancing search objects I found the button “Enable GOS attachments”. Does anyone know the purpose of this button?
I tried entering the values CRM_GUID and BO, but I’m getting the following error:

I am kind of stuck with the config steps in the attachment search option.Let me tell you what i did.
a)In SICF transaction i did activate the crm_prt_km_dav service. But when i test this service it comes up with a blank web-page. If i am right it should show me the hierarchies(BP and related docs underneath it).
b)On the Portal side, i configured an HTTP system which is pointing to my CRM system . so under the HTTP system i gave the url as http://<crmserver>:8080/
c)I created a WebDAV repository manager which has the same system ID as the HTTP system. Also i added the system path as "/callreports". This is the BO path that i have configured in the CRM WebDAV config.
Now is there any step thats missing out here.. Any clues as to why this com.prt.km.dav service is not showing me the documents.??
