Search Trace user IDs who used trx Z* or standard ones
Hi SAP Experts,
I need to find recent users who accessed specific transacations such as reports, Z trx.
For posted documents I managed to find via BKPF.
ST03 does not allow a range of data.
Does anybody know a way of finding who used the transactions recently?
Any help is welcome

Problem setting up user ids to use the Oracle password file.
I want to set up my database users so that a password file is used for connecting to the database. I have completed these steps successfully.
BTW - DB is 11.2.0.3 on AIX power 64
1. Created the password file for the database using the orapwd command. Allowing 20 entries. Confirmed the file was created in the $ORACLE_HOME/dbs directory
2. Created a database user, sbrower
CREATE USER SBROWER IDENTIFIED BY <password> DEFAULT TABLESPACE USERS TEMPORARY TABLESPACE TEMP PROFILE DEFAULT ACCOUNT UNLOCK ;
GRANT DBA TO SBROWER;

3. Connected to the database as SYS and granted sysoper to SBROWER
4. Using putty, ssh'ed into the server where the database resides.
5. Set the oracle variables (ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_BASE, etc.) and PATH
6. Was able to connect to the database using sqlplus / as syoper
THE PROBLEM
For another user, EA_RDX_ORACLE1, I follow the same steps (2-6) bu when I execute step 6, it does not allow the connection
ERROR:
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
but, if I use sqlplus ea_rdx_oracle1/thepassword as sysoper it works
Looking at v$pwfile_users on the database:

There is one thing that is different for the ea_rdx_oracle1 id's:
- The users who use this id, use a took called CyberVault to check out the id. The password for the id changes each time the id is checked out; however, the way the id is set up on the DB servers, us user does not have to enter the password when they log in (ssh).
I have sent an email to our unix admin asking his how the id was set up so that it can ssh into the server. It is not included in the list of users in any group in the /etc/ogroup file and it is not included in the /etc/opassword file.The OS authentication ( sqlplus / as sysdba ) does not require the password file.
The problem may be related to the OS user you are connecting to that server - it is not a member of OSDBA group ( usually DBA ). -

Damn hard to explain
bling module is composite, so the shadows are everywhere. It isn't enabled by default.
But if it has the same problem as xcompmgr... I have no idea what could cause it. You could try moving the configs for e somewhere... and see if it works with a clean system. -
Can I use a common music library across 2 Windows user IDs?
My Windows XP computer is set up with 2 user accounts. iTunes is installed and all of my music is stored in my Shared Music folder (this folder is in Shared Documents, which is accessible from each user ID).
I want to be able to use iTunes from either Windows user ID. The problem is that iTunes creates and maintains 2 separate iTunes Music Library.xml files. When I'm logged on (user #1), iTunes uses the xml file in my My Documents folder. When my spouse is logged on (user #2), iTunes uses the xml file in her My Documents folder.
This is problematic. If I add a new song to iTunes from my Windows ID (and the song file is placed in the Shared Music folder), it is added to my library and xml file. If my spouse logs on and launches iTunes, the song is NOT in her iTunes library. She has to manually add the file from the iTunes Add File to Library command.
I'd like iTunes to use a single library that both Windows user IDs can use and maintain. I don't want to have to manually try to keep these in sync.
I can't find any setting in iTunes for this, and the user guide doesn't even mention this topic. Any help is appreciated!!!TheMint,
I think it works like this:
The setting you describe is where iTunes will store the music files themselves (.aac or .mp3, etc.) However, iTunes creates an index of all of your music, and it uses that index to display all of your music in iTunes. The index file is called iTunes Library.xml
The index is stored in the My Documents\My Music folder of the user ID you log in as. Apparently, you cannot tell iTunes to store this in a different location.
So if you create an iTunes library under one Windows user ID, the index is created in that user ID's My Documents\My Music folder. If you then log in as another Windows user ID, iTunes does not see the index that was created by the first Windows user. Thus you do not see any of the music listed in iTunes. -

I would like to know in Apple Support Communities is it possible to change our user IDs, if it is I would like one of the hosts to give me permission to change mine, please?

GregI can't do anything except report the OP's post (which I did) - everything else is up to the hosts. Under the old system, such changes could not be made due to limitations in the software; however, I had read that this might be possible under the new system - but that may or may not be true.

Ihave abouy 4-5 different user IDS and passwords that I have to juggle to get access to the Apps store. Almost every time I try to get an update, etc., I have to go through the routine of either changing both user ID and password, or just the password. I am a long-time Apple customer but have drifted as far as possible from using Apple updates and purchases. It's just not worth the time, exasperation and energy involved. I can understand that Apple doesn't want to have varied IDs wrapped into a single ID, but it would be helpful if Apple took the time to delete all but one user ID, upon the request of an Apple customer, instead of spending so much time issuing yet another iPad and iPhone. At least, have mercy on some of Apple customers who are still buying snd using laptops and desk tops. HELP!!!
I'm not sure how you came to have so many Apple IDs, but I'd suggest that you simplify things.
I just checked the "Apple ID Support" page:

as I imagine you have, too, and I find no instructions for closing or deleting an Apple ID, but you could simplify things quite a bit by using only one Apple ID on all of your devices.
It will take a bit of time, but I think you'll find that it's worth it.
If I were you, I would just delete all purchased apps (if you've purchased music, that's a whole different issue - but you could probably simplify your music purchases, too) from all devices accept one - your most "important" device - and log out from all other devices. Then log in from those other devices using your preferred Apple ID, and reinstall the apps and other stuff.
It's going to be tedious, and it'll take some time, but I think you'll have a much better experience over the long term.
For one thing, you'd always be notified automatically to update/upgrade your stuff, and your log-ins to do so would be much easier.
I know it's not good news, but I hope it helps. -

If I have set up my Mac with two different users, can I use two different Apple IDs on the same Mac?

Is there an app to allow users to enter their name on a shared iPad to track who used it?
We have a pool of iPad 2 devices running iOS 7.0.4 used in a business environment. This pool of shared iPads is distributed and shared between multiple users. I would like better accountability of each iPad as they are being taken/used by employees. Is there an app that will store locally, email, or iMessage who used the iPad? It should prompt for a name or other ID each time they turn on the iPad or after X minutes of inactivity.
We use the AirWatch MDM. It has a multi-user device check in and check out capability which is what you want. One solution for you would be to implement an MDM.

From my knowledge there is no standard screen answering your requirement.
You can get dig out this information from ST03, but it is by month and it will give all transactions.
If you really need it, it 's up to you to fire SE38 and write your own abap report !

Short dump using CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 with different user ids

We are getting a short dump in our program when using FM'CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2' and this is happening only for super user roles but not with regular user ids in production. We are not able to identify the solution yet, and it needs to be resolved as quickly as possible. Anyhelp, really appreciated.

Can't Use Video with other Mac users who use AIM
I know that ichat is compatible for video chats with other pc users who use aim, but does it work with other mac users who use aim?
Everytime I try to chat with my friend, I get an error message when trying to start of a video chat.

AOL have their Instant Message App. referred to as AIM.
Apple decided and did a deal with AOL that iChat could join their service Buddy Lists.
On these Discussions we tend to refer iChat as Logging into AIM, as they are the servers that the Buddy Lists are held on.
As iChat can also use Bonjour and Jabber, both of which have their own Buddy list window on your Mac. The Jabber side needs you to have a Jabber screen name - so again people differentiate between this and the AIM side.
I would guess you friend is trying to make it clear that she is using the AIM side of iChat as opposed to the Jabber side.
As has been said already, the Application side of things also tend to get referred to generically as "AIM" as well.
The Mac version has stopped and 4.7 and will only Text chat.
The PC side needs 5.9 to clearly Video or Audio chat with a Mac using iChat. (AIM 6.0 is not stable enough to A/V chat to iChat).
