Security Issue while calling a OBIEE report from SOAP UI

I created a sample report in OBIEE and am trying to run the report from SOAP UI
I am using the ReportService WSDL and runReport operation for the same.
I am getting following error failed: due to java.lang.SecurityException: Security violation: ~weblogic/Drafts/test.xdo, user: weblogic, permission: 0<
The user weblogic is the default use and i have assigned all the groups.
Again in application roles under the Application Strip in Obi i have assigned user weblogic to all the roles.
Still i am not able to call this web service and is failing with the above mentioned message.
Am i missing anything?

I'm trying to call an OBIEE report from an EBS menu.
I have setup the following form function calling SSWA jsp type function
Web HTML
OracleOasis.jsp?mode=OBIEE&function=Go&Path=/shared/APA%20Real%20Time/AR/AR02%20Revenue%20by%20Account%20Report&Action=Prompt
When I click the menu item OBIEE returns the following;
No Columns
The request cannot be performed because it contains no columns.
Can anyone please enlighten me on how to do this correctly

Browser performance issue when Calling BI Publisher report from OBIEE dashb

Hi Techies,
We installed OBIEE 10.1.3.3 on SunOS 5.9 unix box.This is PROD env.We are calling BIPublisher report from OBIEE dashboard by clicking the BIP reports link on OBIEE dashboard.After clikcing the link BIPublisher report is opening in another browser window.But is it taking time.
Plz tell me how can we reduce the time taken to open BIPublisher report window when we cilck on the report name in OBIEE dashboard

There is no out of the box method to get the EBS report to OBIEE. You could look into moving the EBS report to a mountable web server directory after it completes and then show it in OBIEE via a link or html object. You will need to rename the report of course, every time you run it its going to change names.
In an after report trigger you could call a small java class to move and rename the file for you.
Alternatively, recreate the report in the standalone version. Be aware that you are going to have to set orgs yourself, BIP is not aware of orgs outside of EBS

I incur the same problem when I place the same file on my

I believe this is a security sandbox issue. You will need a
crossdomain.xml file on the server that is serving the webService.
Check the docs, archives, and google for more detail.

Authentication Issues while calling from OSB to REST

I am routing from a proxy Service in OSB to a REST ful Web Services.I need to apply security settings while calling REST ful services so i created groups which has users who can only call the Web Services.I did all the security settings in the weblogic Server console.
The authentication works fine but the problem is that when i doesnot give any username or password it should give me a "Authentication required" error.But instead it calls the web services .I need not want that to happen.
Anyone pls help me in this issue

My proxy service uses a http protocol and gets the query string and routes it to the business service which is a REST ful based web services.My need is to apply security settings betwwen business service and service component(REST ful based web services).
I created the security settings in weblogic server console using the following steps
1.I created an user in the user and groups option in the security realm tab with Default Authenticator as provider selected
2.I created a Stand-Alone Web Application Scoped Role in the application scope in the security tab with XACML RoleMapper as the provider selected in the war(REST ful web services) file deployed in the console.
3.I added the user created in the security realm tab in this Stand-Alone Web Application Scoped Role created.
I then tested the business service(which connects to the REST ful web service component) with username and password in the transport option in testing console as the one created in the server console.
The business service gives the response only when the username and password matches to the one created or when username/password is weblogic/welcome1(this is the username and password given while creating the OSB domain).
It should throw me an Authentication failed error when the username is wrong and that works except for the condition that the username and password is empty.
How to make the service to throw an error when the username and password is empty like the same as when the username is mismatched.
Help me out in this issue.

Urgent.....Error while running a jsp report from Jdeveloper

I am getting following error while running a jsp report from Jdeveloper. I am using version 10.1.2.1.0. The same report is working fine when I am running it from report builder. ( Both these tools were installed using Oracle Developer Suite 10g version 10.1.2). I did search in oracle discussion forums and google, but I could not arrive at a resolution of error. I tried the way suggested by Anil in the above link as well today, but still am getting the same error while openning the pdf .
Dont know why it shows error that either the file is not a supported file type or because the file is damaged.
Please suggest way to solve this error or some other way of calling xml report from OAF page.

Issue while opening BI4 webi report instance using CMC on IE8 browser

Having issue while opening BI4 webi report instance using CMC on IE8 browser.
Steps to reproduce the error:
1. Login to CMC
2. View Webi History.
3. Open successful instance (For the 1st or 2nd time reports are opening up, from the 3rd time it just freeze the session)
4. After it get freeze we need to close the IE using Task Manager.
Can any one please suggest a resolution for this issue.

first thing is to check is if your chrome version is supported by your current BO version as specified in the PAM (is it?). If the chrome version is supported, and you still have an issue, then you can check with a sap support engineer.

I am trying to call an Oracle Report from a Self Service HR page. I personalized the page to add a button and link the report's URL to that button; but I am having issues passing/manipulating parameters to this report.
Is there a better approach to do this, please post your suggestions. Also If you can direct me to some usefull documentation that will be great.

The p_accesscode is the parameter I need to pass to the Oracle report.
Currently, when I click the button, it invokes the above URL and takes me to the parameter form of the Oracle report and when I enter the Username, it runs the report and displays the desired output. But, what I need to achieve is, to pass the current user who has logged in behind the scene and to get rid of the parameter screen totally. Is this doable ? If yes, please help me !!!

Open OBIEE report from web application

Experts, I want to open OBIEE report from a web application. I have a question regarding the security here. Say I login as 'USER1' in web application, I would have to pass 'USER1' in nquser parameter. Correct? Also, this report has access to 'Sales Group' users only. So, does 'USER1' in web application need to be assigned to 'Sales Group'? Or, any user in the web application can open this report as long as I pass nquser in the GOURL.

You don't need to specify group details.
When the report hits OBIEE, it will determine the permissions based on the nquser.

The report is on a different data base ... need to create a process to get the data into the view behind the report and then materialized view in Apex etc .Then recreate the same report in Apex. But I am trying use the disc report url to invoke the report directly from apex.

Use web.show_document instead of Run_Report_Object. If the jsp contains a paper layout you can still use Run_Report_Object, but you have to specify the filename extension .jsp along with the filename.

Calling a JSP Report From HTML parameter form

I m trying to run a JSP Report from a HTML parameter Form. The JSP reports requires a parameter named userid in the URL with a valid value for database connection.
eg. URL "http://win2kdb.oracle9iis.com:7778/repdemo/examples/Tools/fm_crdinf.jsp?userid=sysapps/system@trt1". We have created a variable on the server named "parmformjsp" with a value "sysapps/system@trt1". Now i use this variable in the URL as follows, eg. "http://win2kdb.oracle9iis.com:7778/repdemo/examples/Tools/fm_crdinf.jsp?parmformjsp".
When i use this URL to call another JSP report from a JSP report it works fine, but the same does not work when calling a JSP report from a HTML form.

If i create an input parameter named "userid" with a valid database connection value, remove the ?parmformjsp part from the action URL then it works fine. How can i call the JSP report using the parmformjsp variable name instead of using the "userid" clause in the URL.Can anyone suggest any workaround....

i am chiranjit , currently i working in a web based ERP project, in this project as a report building tool we are using JasperReport wih eclipse plugin . in eclipse report's are generating very well but i am unable to call that report from a java application because i have no idea about the How to call a Jasper Report from a Java Application . so please send me the necessary class names, jar files names and programe code as early as possible.
