Security problem when trying to connect a CMP Session Bean deployed on J2EE

I am working through Wrox�s book Professional java Mobile Programming and trying to set up the Mobile Positioning project. The book has instructions for Ericson MPS-SDK 3.0 but the only version available now is the 5.0 and these instructions are no longer valid. I have built the application with the Studio 4 IDE and deployed it on an instance of the J2EE reference Implementation and this seems to work fine. However I have built a CMP session bean which should connect to the Ericsson Emulator running on their supplied Eserver and this connection is failing with a security problem. Following is a snippet of the code I have used to instantiate the connection.

con = new ConnectionFactory(true);
The code compiles with out errors but when I try to test it I get the following error
java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission sun.net.inetaddr.ttl write)

i am new to SAP and am trying to connect my BW3.0 with R/3 4.6c which are on two different laptops. have created a logical source system on R/3 side and assigned it there successfully. have also created a logical system on BW side but when trying to assign it, i am getting an error 'be careful when trying to change the source systems'. have accepted it and after that i cannot go into RSA1- comes up with a message saying 'logical system has been changed'.
when i go into details of this error message, it will ask me to delete all the transfer structures/rules created earlier and shouldnt be using ALE or work-flow.
how can i assign the newly created logical system in BW???

hello naveen,
i will try to explain it again....
i have already got a source system by name BWINST in my BW system and i have created another logical source system just for the purpose of communicating with my R/3 system. when i tried to assign this new logical system, i get a warning message saying "Be careful when changing your logical system". i have OK'd it and was trying to get into RSA1. I now get an error message saying "Your logical system has been changed and your request will be terminated" and will close the application. It also says that if i need to change my source system to my new one i will have to delete all my transfer structures, and shouldnt be using any ALE or workflow and ....etc. I cannot even get into AWB now but when i change my source system back to BWINST everything works fine.
so can i use my first source system for communicating with my R/3 system...

The Blackfin lwip stack expects a DHCP server to assign it an IP, you cannot just connect a crossover cable between your computer and the EZKIT (unless your computer happens to be running a DHCP server). Connect your computer and the EZKIT and your computer to a router/switch so that the DHCP server on it can assign IPs to both. Also, you appear to be using the code from the example called Print EZKIT IP Address.vi. I recommend putting this code into a while loop with a wait.

The problem Im having is that I get major error when trying to
access a EJB (Session Bean) in Oracle 8i from Servlet. The
servlet works properly when Im running it from another machine,
but when implementing it in OAS it won't work. What's the
problem? Im using the same lookup adress from both places, but
it simply won't work for me in OAS. IF someone could give me a
simple example that works I would be more than happy!

I received this email from Apple and this corrected the problem for me... I only had to reset the iTunes cache
1) Open iTunes
2) At the top menu, click File > Preferences (iTunes > Preferences on a Mac)
3) In the Preferences menu, click the Advanced tab
4) In the Advanced menu, you should see a button that says "Reset Cache". Please click this button.

Thanks for your reply.
I have just found out what's wrong. I went to the 'more info' section of my Chitchat application and it took me to a link where it explained that Yahoo Chat has ditched chatting with the Java protocol and chatters can now only chat via the Yahoo Messenger protocol, which is Yahoo Instant Messenger with Voice. Unfortunately Yahoo doesn't provide a platform for Yahoo Voice for Macintosh computers. Though the original link I went to provides another link to a thing called 'Adium' from which a Mac can access Yahoo Chat's new protocol, although it's not fully developed yet.
Oh...and thanks so much for letting me know about the Java update release. I did not know that I have to upgrade my system first to recieve the latest update information.

I'd recommend that you not use the JDBC-ODBC bridge driver to connect to SQL Server. M$ and jTDS are two free type IV JDBC drivers that you should use instead. Put those JARs in the WEB-INF/lib directory.
The database URL you're using is not correct if you change drivers. Consult the docs to find out what the proper syntax is.

Logon Failed - Invalid element error when trying to connect to SalesForce

I had a working crystal reports database connection to salesforce until I installed a Crystal Reports update on my machine. It is currently running v12.2.0.290 (CR Developer).
Since the update when trying to connect, I enter my password and salesforce security token to get access to the database but now I receive an error that says:
Logon Failed
Details: Unexpected error

Hi Ron -- you have installed SP2 of Crystal Reports 2008. You will need to install the FP 2.2 as per this thread -- Crystal Reports 2008 SP2 update to the Salesforce.com connectivity

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Did you already try these suggestions?
Check USB connections
Related errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response,” and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you checked your connections and are still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues.
