Select previlege on queuetable is a must ?

Hi,
I have an aq admin user ( aq_admin, who has been given the role of aq_administrator_role), I have two users
aq_admin has a table ( test_queue_tab ) in its schema, in which queue1, and queue2( both are multi consumer queues) are present.
I also have two users user1, and user2. User1 should be able to enqueue/dequeue queue1 and user2 for queue2.
Now as user1, how would i get the correlation id and recipient list data for the queue1, since i don't have permission to do select on table aq_admin.test_queue_tab.
Is giving select on the table to the queue user a must ? Will that not create a security issue here ?
for eg, if we give select on aq_admi.test_queue_tab for both users user1 and user2, user1 can see the data being queued by user2 . correct ?
Now If i dont give the "select on table privilege", i am not able to get the corrid , reciepient data for the queue as a user1.
could some one explain me on this

I opened a SR on precisely that problem.
We had Weblogic create a session with user B and attempt to enqueue/dequeue to queue's owned by user A. When user B logged in with sqlplus the operations were fine. When logged in through the jdbc connect it threw errors.
In the end the SR came back with 'grant B permissions to the underlying queue table'

I am wondering if someone can help me with my program.
Part of my program requires me to design some ftp software.
I need to be able to read the row which the user has selected and then when the user hits one of the main buttons (i.e. Make Dir, Rename, View, Delete) be able to act upon that file.
Therefore if the user selects Rename or delete, the program must rename the file or delete the file from the list box. Similar to professional ftp software.
My problem is identifying the selected row and using the value effectively.

My first PL/SQL block not working with using Select query within begin

I am new to PL/SQL , just started with basics of BLOCKS .
I am having a query here in executing a block .
When i am doing a insert oprtation in Blocks Begin method everything is working fine , but when ever i tried to do select operation , some error is being thrown .
First of all This is my Table :

KEY      VALUE
Key     Value
Key1     Value1
Key2     Value2
Key3     Value3

This is the code which is not working : Please see the code and tell me what is the problem .

perhaps you meant something like:

Until you assign a vlue to a variable, like v_value, it is NULL, so your original statement was equivalent to
{code}
select KEY FROM try where NULL='Value' ;

In PL/SQL, a SELECT ... INTO statement must return exactly one row, or else you will get an error (either NO_DATA_FOUND or TOO_MANY_ROWS). This is different from SQL, where a query cn return any number of rows, including 0, without raising an error.

Let's assign a presentation variable to the drop down values i.e. var_Status
Now in functionality of the column that you want to change it's functionality dynamically depends on your selection... write this formula

Because of this.. we can't have dynamic column heading for this column.
One more approach is: Same Presentation variable but with Sectional Guided navigation properties.

Website has many drop-down menus. Once selected, user updates the page based on selections. Unable to select more than 1 option at a time. Is there a setting to fix this? I was able to do before, but after reinstall, it has stopped.

This occurs on any website with active menu drop-downs. I am able to select the 1st drop-down, but must then load the page and do the next drop-down. I used to be able to make every selection at once and then reload the page to reflect all of those options.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

Printing a selection from a web page, word document etc.

It embarrasses me to say, I cannot find a way to print a selection--a paragraph for example--from a web page or a Word document. In Windows it's done with a few mouse clicks: file/print/selection. I'm sure there must be a simple way to do it in Leopard, but what is it?

While there is no "print selection" command, you can use one of the globally available services to open a new window in textedit containing your selection, then print it.
Select something and then go to Safari>Services>TextEdit>New Window Containing Selection
and a new textedit window will open with your selection pasted in. Now you can print it.
I suppose if you do this a lot, you could write a short applescript that'll do this, print it, and quit textedit, and then stick the script in the script menu. Just a thought.

How to create a view on SQLServer 2008 as an OPENQuery select to a MYSQL linked server

I am trying to create a view on SQLServer through Management Studio based on data on a MYSql server.
I have created the Linked server and I am able to query all data.
Using the syntax select * from OPENQUERY (linkedServer, 'select * from MYSQL-table') - This works fine
What I am trying to do now is issue the following statement
create view ViewnameToBeCreatedOnSQLServer
as select * from OPENQUERY (linkedServer, 'select * from MYSQL-table')
When I run this from SSMS I get the following error
OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server "TESTTSC2" returned message "[MySQL][ODBC 5.1 Driver][mysqld-5.0.95-log]Table 'FP.M3' doesn't exist".
Msg 7350, Level 16, State 2, Procedure FPMaster3, Line 2
Cannot get the column information from OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server "TESTTSC2".
The account I am using has create view privs and alter schema privs on the SQlServer side. I am assuming there are not isues on the MYSQL server side since I am able to successfully run the select statement using OPENQUERY. There must be one small
piece I am missing. has anyone experienced the same problem and were you able to find a solution?

All the configurations seem to be in place correctly since I can SELECT any data with no issues. The statement
select * from OPENQUERY (linkedServer, 'select * from MYSQL-table')
works fine and I can change the table I am selecting from which all return data. Therefore, the objects all exists in MYSQL.
The DSN is set up, the linked Server is good, the provider is set up, the DB account has all privs.
It only fails when I try to create the view on SQLServer as a select from a remote table accessed via the linked MYSQL server. I connect to SQLServer with DB account PS which has full privs including CREATE VIEW and ALTER SCHEMA. The MYSQL pass-through account
has read access to all objects in the MYSQL schema. I am trying to figure out if I might be missing some little part of this puzzle when trying to create a new object (CRESTE VIEW) vs. just reading the data (SELECT).
The kicker in all this is that I did create a view on SQLServer in this manner about a year ago and I am able to see the view definition and that view still works! So, this is quite interesting that I am not able to create a new object.
If there any specific information I could provide which might help, I am happy to do that. Just did not want to provide the details on all of the puzzle pieces if it can be avoided but if it comes to that then that's OK also.

How can I set a specific value for a field, according to the option selected in a previous drop-down menu?

Eg.: I have a drop down menu with the following options: "1,2,3,4,5". What I want to do is the followin: If the option selected is "1" the field "Color" must be filled with "Green", if "2" the field color must be filled with "Red", etc

You can use something like this as the custom calculation script of the color field:

Eclipse problem selection does not contain main type

i m using eclipse3.3 and have set all the necessary paths in it
but when i run a simple java program just for displaying hello world but
the error comes

You must have a class with a main method.
The main method must be public, must be static, must return void, must have parameter String [], and is case sensitive (so does Java).

Change in SELECT by splitting into two

I am splitting below selection into two as follows.
SELECT * FROM z_rider_hist INTO TABLE gt_rider_rpt
     FOR ALL ENTRIES IN gt_revsed_docs
     WHERE ( /bic/zopbel = gt_revsed_docs-/bic/zstbel2 OR
             clr_doc_no = gt_revsed_docs-/bic/zstbel ) AND
           comp_code = gt_revsed_docs-comp_code.
Above selection taking around 10 hours execution time. z_rider_hist table contains millions of records. /bic/zopbel is part of prmary key and clr_doc_no and comp_code are not.
I am splitting above selection into two SELECTs as follows.
(1)
    SELECT * FROM z_rider_hist INTO TABLE gt_rider_rpt
     FOR ALL ENTRIES IN gt_revsed_docs
     WHERE ( /bic/zopbel = gt_revsed_docs-/bic/zstbel2 AND
           comp_code = gt_revsed_docs-comp_code.
(2)
    SELECT * FROM z_rider_hist APPENDING TABLE gt_rider_rpt
     FOR ALL ENTRIES IN gt_revsed_docs
     WHERE clr_doc_no = gt_revsed_docs-/bic/zstbel ) AND
           comp_code = gt_revsed_docs-comp_code.
After splitting, creating 2 indexes as follows.
1. /bic/zopbel & comp_code
2. clr_doc_no & comp_code
Splitting is done to avoid the use of OR condition in the first select. Currently it is not choosing any index though we have an index with fields /bic/zopbel, clr_doc_no and comp_code is available.
Pls help me to confirm following things:
1. Both the original and splitted SELECTS are same?
2. Above splitting and indexing will improve performance?
3. Do we have any other option to improve the perofrmance of original SELECT without splitting it?

No, you must append the records of the second select and apply sort and DELETE ADJACENT
DUPLICATES only then they are the same.
2. Above splitting and indexing will improve performance?
Definitely, it is the missing index which is responsible for the low performance.
You should also check whether gt_revsed_docs has already duplicates.
3. Do we have any other option to improve the perofrmance of original SELECT without splitting it?
No, the split is not really a problem, because the FAE is anyway porcessed in blocks.
There is a further improvement possible, depending on your two conditions
A : /bic/zopbel = gt_revsed_docs-/bic/zstbel2
B : clr_doc_no = gt_revsed_docs-/bic/zstbel
You want A or B
That is   A and B , not A and B, A and not B
You select A and B twice, without split and with split. If this a largest part, then you should split
in three and save a lot of time.

List/Menu (multiple selected) insert into MySQL

I have been building a feedback form and I am running into a
issue that when I place a list/menu that allows multiple selections
when I submit my form in my MySQL database it collected the
information but only on the last multiple selection.
For example, this is what my list/menu looks like.

Nope. An E_NOTICE error won't terminate the script, but

All are correct and won't be deprecated. IMHO it's more or
less just
personal preference. It also depends on the used editor and
its syntax
highlighting capabilities. For example I use Eclipse/PDT for
all my PHP
scripts, which can also highlight variables inside a string.
But if the
above is your preferred way, there's nothing really wrong
with it.
Just some additional thoughts:
Personally I prefer as less escaping and concatenating as
possible,
because such a mixture of single quotes, double quotes, dots
and
sometimes even escaped quote signs (for example when printing
HTML)
_really_ confuses me. I like to keep my code clean and
readable.
Something like this:
print "<img src=\"".$someVar."\" ...>\n";
not only hurts my eye, it is also quite error-prone. It's
easy to miss a
quote or a backslash and get a parse error back, especially
in editors
with limited syntax highlighting (or none at all). So I would
prefer
print "<img src='$someVar' ...>\n";
or even
printf("<img src='%s' ...>\n", $someVar);
When it comes to performance issues, of course there's a
difference
between the various methods. But for me they don't really
matter. In
practice you usually won't notice any difference between an
echo, a
print or a printf() call for example, as long as you don't
call them
a million times in a loop.
So I always just use the method that leads to the most
readable code.
In many cases, especially when a lot of variables or
expressions are
involved, (s)printf() wins. Not for performance, but for
readability.
But as said - personal preference. YMMV.

         I have a screen where i have put a selection list box, it is pre-filled with values, Now based on the value which user selects, I want to show/hide some select-options fields. I have declared the select options in the top include of my program,

I am setting some flags based on the value which user selects in the selection list box, When I debugged I found that the flags were being set correctly, but the screen group value never set to '222' or '333', these are id's i have used for select options. Hence I am unable to hide/show the select options fields. Kindly suggest some solutions for this.

Your SELECT-OPTIONS are defined in a SELECTION-SCREEN so the PBO actions must be maintained in a AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT block.
I suppose the selection-screen is a subscreen, if you dont want to get unwanted interactions with a main selection-screen of the report, check sy-dynnr
AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.

Select Tool (blk arrow) doesn't work correctly-illustrator cs2

when you click on an object with black arrow, it converts to free transform automatically.
so as many people might do, I used black arrow to re-size or rotate etc etc. rather than using free transform tool.
but it suddenly not working. Did I press wrong key by accident or something?

Actually, assuming the Selection Tool now selects, it started working, so you must have pressed the right key or something.

No he hasn't. I've tested this with other contacs. If someone is already in my facebook cantacts and I receieve an email from him, but he hasn't included that email address in his facebook account, if I add this new email to his contact card, his picture frame will not appear in mail app. I can see his both facebook and other email address in the contact card.
