Selection Screen painter

Hi.
I have created selection screens (SE51) and custom transactions in system DEV and all is working fine.
Now when i transport this to QA system The transport is showing that it is successfull(GREEN in STMS).
BUT when i see the selection screen it has not been updated and all is same and old.
Can you tell me what needs to be done, inorder to transport to overwrite and update.
The transport log says its overwritten and update.
Please give me a solution to this.

Surprising, when i went to SE80 -> Program and then right click activate.
and then went back to that selection screen. It activated the old screen as if no transport came in and overwritten it.
That mean i need to transport the new selection screen again
and then -> set the system to modifiable (BASIS) -> manually activate the selection screen and then go to se80 -> program and activate the whole program.
Make sense ?

Passing the values from selection screen to screen painter

Hello Friends,
I'm making one report program in which im calling one screen which i have designed, in my selection screen there is a select option for customer tht accepts value range now i want to select all the customers entered in select options and pass these values in screen(screen painter).
pls guide me how this can be done.

Screen painter is a tool in ABAP dev workbench used to create the screens using the
T-code SE51. In the screen painter, you can define the following interface elements with their associated attributes.
1. Input/Output Fields
2. Field Names
3. Checkboxes
4. Radio Buttons
5. Group Boxes
6. Sub screens.
7. Pushbuttons with No Fixed Position
Create a Z program in tcode SE38.
Go to transaction SE51.
Enter the created program name and screen number.
Click on flowlogic tab.
Uncomment the statement u201C MODULE STATUS_0100 u201C.
CASE SY-UCOMM.
    WHEN 'EXIT'.
      LEAVE PROGRAM.
    WHEN 'BACK'.
      LEAVE PROGRAM.
    WHEN 'DISPLAY'.
      SELECT SINGLE Fileds to selsct
           INTO (interanl table or tablename-fileds)

How to Modify the Selection Screen in Report Painter

I am working on Report painter and writer,
can any body helpme how to change the selection screen i.e i want add some more select options to the exisiting roport .
how can i add more select options to the exisiting one

In the program ...we can find the following chunk of code..
selection-screen:begin of block B1 with frame title text-001.
Parameters : ....
select-options:.....
selection-screen:end of block b1.
if we need to add any more user inputs we can write the code inside the existing
selection screen....end of block .
or create a new block ..just the block name should be different...
if we are using select options...we need to declare the table name using the key word for the field on which we are giving select options ....
Tables : BSIK.

there are many options available in selection screens..like creating check box,radio button etc..

Functional area(FKBER field in the selection screen of the report painter))

Hi,
I have a requirement to add functional area field in the selection screen for a report painter report. This report using library 1VK and table 'CCSS'. I added functional area field in the general data selection . After the execution of report with functional area field filled with value. report not giving any output. do i need to maintain any setting to achieve?

1. Call GR22 and click "Characteristics".
2. Check FKBER and assign a position number to it.
3. Save and close the library.
4. Call your report in GRR2 and you should now see FKBER as an available characteristic.
5. Use it in the General Data Selection or as a Lead Column, as per requirement.
Or,
1. Call GR21 and create a custom library. Provide a name and description and also provide a library you can copy from (scan for the best-fit library).
2. Now follow the steps 2 through 5 above to achieve your result.

Report Painter: How to change the order of lines in selection screen

Dear Gurus on Report Painter,
how can I change the order of the lines (where the values for the variable selection of my cost center report are entered) in the selection screen of a report painter report? The Selection screen looks awful.
Is there also a possibility to add another description to each line of the selection screen?

I am afraid you have much choice in choosing the order of the selection parameters. However, with the developer's access you may.
This is how!
Step 1: If it is a standard report, copy to your own report. and assign it to a report group. and execute.
Step 2: When you execute, and the selection appears, go to systems>status and here , copy the program name (it may look something like GP46LP6VEDORBSA2IHWYSR4TL58020)
Step3: Go to SE38 and enter the above derived program name with a view to re-arrange the line withing the program, with reference to selection parameters.
For example: I have a selection screen in the following order:
Controlling area
Fiscal Year
From period
To period
Plan version
Cost center group
Or value(s)
Cost element group
Or value(s)
The corresponding program that drives this order is in the program and would look like this,

If you want fiscal year to appear first, you try just copying the coding relating to fiscal year just above the coding for Controlling area.
Extend the same logic for what you may want to get.

Selection screen control for a field in the report painter report

i have a problem with selection screen fields order in report painter report.
Actually in report painter report selection screen order is different compare to report writer report selection screen.
how should i get the same selection screen fields order For Report painter report compare to Report Writer report ?

Go to Sq01, select the query and goto to change mode.go to the next screens till u reach Selection fields. Here u enter the NO field in the sequence which u want ot appear in the selection screen and it is done. Save and execute.
Ex:

Exclude Cancelled Lots 5
Material number 1
Plant 2
Material type 3
Inspection Lot Origin 4

I have a small requirement, I have to get business area (GSBER) in selection screen of report.
I have developed the report using report painter FGI1 --FAGLFLEXT which is having gsber field.
In selection screen it self i want this GSBER FIELD .How to achieve it.

What I understand from your question is you want bussiness area value on selection screen you can achive this by just using the by export/import parameter or by get/set parameter id.

How to put "selection options without intervals" on screen painter?

 I need to put a field for pernr(personal number) on screen painter (module program) and user should be able to enter a list of pernr's to process. I know in report program I can do this by:

How can I get this work on sccreen painter in module programming? How can I add a field on screen painter with a range without intervals? Please let me know.

Report Painter -Selection Screen Order

I am doing a Report Painter for the first time in years.
I am hoping someone can remind me how ( if possible) to change the order of the the selection screen.
For example, if I have 2 Fiscal Year varables and 2 Period Variables, is there a way to change the order so the screen shows
FY1
Period 1
FY2

Your answer works when there is only one field, 2 variables.
I have 2 fields, 2 variables each.
So, for example with Fiscal Year and Period, I have
zfy1
zperiod1
zfy2
zperio2
When I do the report, the Fiscal Year variables group together and then the period variables.
i.e.
zfy1
zfy2
zper1
zper2
I can't separate them and reorder them as above.
zfy1
zper1
zfy2
zper2
