Send Message to Session via SQL?

Hello,
I see some of the oracle tools touting the ability to send lan messages to oracle sessions/users.
Can anyone describe how to do this with SQL? I've looked and looked and cannot find a solution to this.

Ah so it looks like this is not a function of sql/oracle db but application ie Oracle Enterprise Manager.
To send a message to a currently connected user
Expand a server group, and then expand a server.
Expand Management, and then expand Current Activity.
Click Process Info.
The current server activity is displayed in the details pane.
In the details pane, right-click a Process ID, and then click Send Message.
Note It is not possible to send a message to a user when SQL Server Enterprise Manager is running on Microsoft® Windows® 98.
In the Message box, type the message.
Optionally, select Using hostname, and enter the computer name to send the message to a specific computer.
I don't know how i would do that because there is only one host name with multiple terminal sessions. :/

I write a function in main.asc file , client can get users
list via call the function.
I write some codes in application.onConnect
when a user connect, it will add users list.
In application.onDisconnect, when a user disconnect, it will
remove from users list.
My hope when a user disconnect, I send a message to
shareobject. the shareobject is called in other clients.
Other client can retrieve the remove user message, they will
call the function to get new users list.
It is my idea. Can you give me some codes for my idea?

C2-00 - sending messages to contacts via any appli...

There are apps that allow message (sms) forwarding to contacts. Other nokia phone models work fine with such. But when I tried sending sms via those apps in my C2-00, it showed 'sending msg' without prompting me on the sim to use and the 'sending msg' notice remains on the screen for as long as it can except I cancel it.
Any help pls?

1) client class which gets Session bean and calls its method.
2) write Stateless Session bean with a method which gets MDB and sends message.

this may be because JMS server runs on different port than other EJBs and have different namespaces.
Can any body give info,how we can make use of Message Driven bean from a Session Bean or from a JSP page or from a simple class inside JDeveloper.

There are some hints in this forum for how to do this.
I put together and make it working.
This example creates an MD Bean and have a simple message and a client class send messages to that bean.
Steps
=====
1)
a)in {JDev Home}\jdev\system9.0.5.2.1618\oc4j-config\jms.xml
     <topic name="Demo Topic" location="jms/demoTopic">
          <description>A dummy topic</description>
     </topic>
     <topic-connection-factory name="Demo Topic Connection Factory" location="jms/theTopicConnectionFactory">
          <description>A dummy topic connection factory</description>
     </topic-connection-factory>
b) in current project in orion-ejb-jar.xml
go to orion-ejb-jar properties and add these values there to MDB node
destination-location=jms/demoTopic
connection-factory-location=jms/theTopicConnectionFactory
2) create a dummy session bean and a dummy client for that session bean
This sets default configuration for the client application we write
doing so we do not need to set properties to get Initial context.It makes use of
{JDev Home}\jdev\system9.0.5.2.1618\oc4j-config\.client\jndi.properties
We can directly get Contexxt ctx = new InitialContext();
3) Create MDB and put this sample code in method
onMessage()

Need to send success or failure message to BAPI of SQL query action block

I need to send success or failure message(i.e. 1 or 0) to BAPI which has been called below sql query action block in transaction
Here in SAP, i have created on BAPI with one import parameter and one export parameter.
In the sql query action block, it insert records in the database table. If it fail or success, that message(numeric value 1 or 0) has to send to SAP program through BAPI.
I have created a SAP ABAP program which sends message to MII Message listener through RFC then in the process rule message it will call transaction, in transaction, sql query will insert records into database table. if it success or fail, it will pass to BAPI. And i calling that BAPI in the same SAP ABAP Program to show in the output screen.
Here the issues, i am not getting the value from BAPI which has send by the transaction in MII.
SAP Jco, I have mapped in conf. links --> BAPI input with sql query sucess

I am facing problem regarding completion notifications in Oraclr r12, when user click the upon completion generated notifications it can only be viewd once, second time user cannot view the notifications.
I have find that fnd_file_temp table store this information and deleted it.

Here's two way to enqueue/publish new message into multi-consumer queue.
(1) Use explicitly declared recipient list
- Specify "Recipients" by setting recipient_list to messge_properties, before ENQUEUE().

It tried to send as an SMS but gave the 'green button reject message'.(no money)
Step 2 in this stupidity - the phone keeps trying to send the deleted text via SMS and wont stop notifying me of this. Totally ruining the functionallity of my phone, and more so totally annoying. All I want to do is stop the constant re-trying of sending the deleted SMS.

Hi, many thanks for your help - Pressing and holding sleep/reset hasn't worked, the msg is still continually reporting it is failing to send. I can restore to a previous version however I'll lose my paid apps. Is there any way to work around this. I'm only concerned about one app - Epocam HD which I purchased last month. My last backup on PC is 4 March 13 - before I bought the paid app - Itunes advises me I'll have to re-pay to get my apps (app) back. Even though it advises that icloud backed up this morning at 1:30 am (which although it is before the text, I cannot manually select this restore).

Send Message Client to Client Via Server

I am trying to create Messenger similar to msn but very simple.
I have managed to create some parts of it after nonstop day night reading up on sockets, and threading etc.. so so far i have a Server + ServerThread and Client class, which is capable of:
* Server that can accept multiple client connections.
* Each client can send message to the server Only
Thats all so far but I do intend to
* Make Client send Client messages via the Server <-- Next Important Step
* Add and Remove Users (User Lists)
Lets say I have a Server (S) and Clients (C1) and (C2)
at the moment both C1 and C2 can connect to S and send messages to it only.
How can I, or what would I need to do so that I can make C1 and C2 actually send each other messages? I understand I may need the server to somehow get the messages recieved from C1 and C2 and send them to one another?
Do correct me in my assumptions or methods I am using, as you may know better methods or techniques to use to implement what I need to do.

thanks topfoxy for the reply, I've managed to send msgs to everyone and private... but used a different method i think.. basically on each connection it would add the sockets to a vector list adn the same with usernames. and to send to everyone on the server the thread will just loop all the socket vector sending it to each user.. on private it will use the uservector to get the index of the user name and then using that index to get hte socket and hten sending it to that socket only... :)... what do you think? good or bad?

I need help sending out long email message from ORACLE PL/SQL.
My message(email body) contains about 4000 characters and comes out truncated somewhere on the middle.
My business requirements do not allow me to send it as attachment.
I am using oracle utl_smtp package and on oracle 10gR2.
Is it possible to send out long text message from Oracle?

When you said you went to Settings and everything seems good. Does that mean the MMS was turned on? If so, and this is only being experienced when dealing with SMS/MMS, then you should contact your carrier to have them check to make sure your account is provisioned for MMS, and that everything is alright with your account. SMS/MMS is a carrier function.
