Send URL from R/3 inbox message

Have a quick question – We are looking into using a Webdynpro application to process workflow for requisitions release strategy.  I have workflow working on R/3 side and am using ABAP program RSWUWFML2 to send R/3 inbox workitems to outlook email but the problem I have is sending an URL in the email message. This program is designed to send link to SAP workitem.
Is there an easy way to send email message based on workitems that contains a URL. This URL will point to a Webdynpro app
- Keith

Hi Keith,
are you working with WAS 6.40-> and/or are you using the Universal Worklist to host the work items?
If you don't have the UWL, you need the link to directly point to the WD application. Based on your design approach, you then either need the object key or the work item ID as import parameters for the WD application.
A good way I think to make this happen is to have a separate email send step in the workflow before the task. In this step, you can include a link pointing to the web dynpro app with the required parameters in the task description.
If you however have the UWL in place, I suggest you use extended notifications (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/d5/581ee8d56f1247bf34cfcd66d16d81/frameset.htm) instead of RSWUWFML2 to achieve this. With it, you can directly make the link point to the work item ID. From there on, you can make it UWL's responsibility to launch the WD app properly (use SWF_VISU or manual config to define the action handlers).
But to summarize, I don't think RSWUWFML2 is a good option regardless if you're on was6.40-> or not. If you have an older system, you can't use it to include the WD params. And if you're on it, extended notifications do the trick better.
Hope this helps,
Mikko

Try closing the Photos app, as well as Messages by double tapping the home button, long pressing on one of these apps, then touching the minus sign above these two apps.  It will also be a good idea to restart the phone.  Then test your message again.  Hope this helps.

  • Send URL from firefox to Evolution

When I want to send a webpage's URL from Firefox to Evolution, I click on the "Email a link to this page" icon in Firefox.
The problem is, the link is not clickable.  Is there a way I can set it up?

    Thanks Trilby.
Sorry I didn't make it clear.  Yes, that has been set up.  And the problem I'm having is, the URL is actually sent to a new message to be composed in Evolution.  Just that the link in that message is not clickable.  So, the receiver of the email will not be able to open the webpage that I want him/her to see by simply clicking on the link because it is not clickable.

  • Send URL from Mail to Safari

You know how you can easily send a URL from Safari to Mail (Shift-Command-I)? Why can't you do that in reverse?
I want to be able to email myself at home from work with a URL in the body of the message. I want a Mail rule and Automator (or applescript if necessary) to take that URL from the message body and send it to Safari which will go to the URL. The URL can be either a web page or downloadable file.

With the webpage open, tap on the "+" symbol at the bottom and choose " "Mail Link to this Page".

  • When I try to send email from phone I get message net sign in failed and the messages won't send

Why do I get the message net sign in failed when I try to send email from my phone? This just started about a week ago and I am unable to send email.

        Hello yinz!
Let's get those emails sending! When you get the message, does the device prompt you to sign in to your email? If so, does it give you a different error message? The same? What type of email is it? Are you able to send/receive if using the PC? One option is to uninstall, then reinstall the email account from your device. Please give that a try and keep me posted on the results.
    Thanks so much,

  • Send Photo from camera in text message

If I try to attach a photo to a text message, it appears in the message but then I get a notification saying"cannot send try again". Can you please tell me how I can send a photo in a text message. Thank you.

    Hi @Selbeep ,
All the Nokia phones I have used will scale the images automatically to be within the accepted MMS limits.
Please first clear all messages stuck in the outbox, then try to send a picture to yourself?
A restart of the phone is also required after altering the settings.
The above should also be completed if the provider helped you set up the phone, but it is all that I can think of.

  • TS3899 I cannot send email from my ipad the message keeps saying rejected by the server but there is nothing wrong with my email account with talk talk as I am able to send email from my iPhone and laptop any ideas?

My email won't send from my iPad.  It says the server rejects it almost immediately I press the send email button, although there is nothing wrong with my email account when sending from my laptop or iphone. I have cancelled the account and re-entered it but it hasn't made a difference? Anybody help?

    Hi Allan,
Thank you for your help . The account used to work perfectly until recently, after receiving support from the provider, I deleted the account now I am trying to set the account again.
After putting in the first details (name, email, description) Cannot send mail the password or username for "mail.bigpond.com" is incorrect. I would expect this because the information I put in is not for Bigpond. So I press ok & I change the outgoing server (this is the one that is incorrectly labelled bigpond) to aapt, then I press save.
Then it says "verifying" but comes up with Cannot connect using SSL do you want to try setting up the account without SSL. I press yes.
Then I get the message "the POP server "mail.aapt.net.au" is not responding. Check your network connection & that you entered the correct information in the incoming mail server. (I ahve already checked this with aapt & it is correct.

  • Send URL from Safari to Delicious via Applescript

    Hello Kappy,
maybe my question was misleadingly formulated.
I use Safari (by Apple) on Macbook Air (by Apple) and when sending links I want to use OS Yosemite Mail App (by Apple).
Currently Chrome is opened. I DON'T want to use chrome.
    Mail App INSTEAD of chrome.
I hope this IS the right place to ask the question: How do I teach safari to send mails by the native OS X mail app?

  • Sending email from iphone as text message

as I understand things I should be able to sent an email to a mobile phone and they'll receive it like a text message. Is this true? I'm a uk o2 customer and have tried but as yet have not managed to get this to work. Does anyone know how t do this in the uk

You are wanting to send an MMS, not an SMS. No reason to send an SMS via email since the iPhone includes an SMS client.
Have the person that you want to send an MMS to, send you an MMS addressed to an email address for an email account that you access with the iPhone's Mail client. The MMS will be received as an email with photo attached, and this will provide you the sender's cell phone email address.
Enter this email address as an available email address for the contact's information in your iPhone's address book. Select a photo that you want to send as an email attachment addressing the message to this email address. The email will be received as an MMS by the recipient.

  • I can no longer send email from my iPad, any suggestions?

I Can no longer send email from my iPad, error message said 'outgoing mail name or password incorrect', does anyone know a fix for this problem?

Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

  • Sending mail from apps leave unsent mail in outbox (iOS4)

Since upgrading to iOS4, sending mail from an application (ie Messages, Album, etc) leaves the mail unsent but in my outbox.
This is silly Apple, if I am creating an email from another app and I click "Send", I intend for the message to be sent.
At least change the button text to read "Move to Outbox" if that is the action that is performed.
I look forward to this annoying bug being removed from the next release of iOS4.

I had this problem and I'm not sure if it was caused by iOS4 or by adding an extra gmail account to sync notes, which support was added for in iOS4. I already had an activesync exchange account to connect to gmail so I could also sync my google calendar, but this didn't support syncing notes, so I added another email account to only sync notes. Once I removed this account, emails seem to send properly.
It appears the solution is to only have one email account.

  • Problem sending email from Ipad2

I can not send email from Ipad2. A message of "destinary rejected" appears. What should I do? thanks.

Have you successfully sent email from your iPad before?  Are you connected to the internet?  How large are the files you are trying to send.  Are you using 3G or wifi.  If you are using 3G, there is a 20MB limit.  If you're using wifi and you have successfully emailed from your mail account, I would usggest you try rebooting your iPad.  Press and hold both your home and power buttons at the same time for at least 10 seconds (keep holding past the swipe to shut down bar if it appears) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart.  Try again after the reboot.

Shoot! I wrote this huge reply and then quit Safari by accident. I'm too tired to type it all over again (I should install a keylogger).
Anyway, check out the screen shot of my workflow. the AppleScript section is where it xfers the URL from a text editor (BBEdit) to Safari. It's pretty dirty but it works.

  • Mac Mail deleted inbox messages from yahoo mail, how to get them back?

I recently started using the Mac Mail client with my yahoo-plus email account.
What Mac Mail did was delete ALL inbox messages from my yahoo account, after one week from importing them to Mac Mail.
The inbox messages can still be found in the Mac Mail inbox, but not in yahoo's inbox.
I was wondering if there is a way to retrieve these deleted messages back to my yahoo inbox.
Also, I was wondering about the sync feature on the Mac Mail and what will actually happen if I use it. Does it apply to mail messages, or to address book and calendar entries?
I would appreciate you help on this issue.

    dechamp wrote:

The Yahoo server did exactly what you Mail program told it to do.
Mail/Preferences/Account/Advanced - This setting is adjustable for each mail account.
I didn't know about this feature until it was too late. I have already unchecked it for future emails.
I was wondering if there is a way to retrieve these deleted messages back to my yahoo inbox.
Not Really, you could forward them to your account, after you've told your mail program not to delete the emails at all, but they will show up as being from you instead of the original sender. The originals at Yahoo have been dumped and probably purged. It would take an IT manager at Yahoo to manually replace the emails, not much chance of that.
I've already asked yahoo to "restore" my inbox to a day ago. That should help me with retrieving some of the messages back, I hope.
Also, I was wondering about the sync feature on the Mac Mail and what will actually happen if I use it. Does it apply to mail messages, or to address book and calendar entries?
The sync feature refers to IMAP email accounts like .Mac or .Me or an Imap gmail account. I didn't think Yahoo offered IMAP email accounts.
Apple's MobileMe membership will let you sync your Mail, AddressBook, Calender, personal website with iWeb, etc.
"MobileMe is a service that pushes new email, contacts, and calendar events over the air to all your devices. So your iPhone, Mac, and PC stay in perfect sync."
    http://www.apple.com/mobileme/
I wanted to use Mac Mail, see if I liked it or not, then decide to get a MobileMe account. However, this is still a side note, since my yahoo account is my main email client.
You seem to be very well informed, and I was wondering if I can ask you to clarify a point for me. Do you know how to archive the inbox in the Mac Mail?
And thank you for answering my queries.

  • SEND from my email INBOX  to  another email address ~ Thank you,  Mika

I would like to acquire the ADOBE that will allow me to SEND messages and images from my email INBOX to other email addresses.....can you provide me with your best recommendation with respect to the above purpose ?

Adobe doesn't make software that does that. You can use Outlook, or Mozilla
Thunderbird, or something of that sort for that.
