Sending events from VC to WAD

Hi
I tried to do the first part of the How to guide "Integrate Visual Composer Applications and BEX WEB Templates", but I'm having trouble with item 5 (Sending events from VC to WAD). I can select my entry list as Dynamic, select the data service, find the query and the characteristic 0CALYEAR. I add the input field and the assigned value according to the instructions. However when I deployed the model I get a warning, saying that my entry list is empty in my Selection form that I just added the dynamic values.
As a result when I preview my page it's not showing anything in my dropdown list.
If I open the dropdown list and click on entry list, it shows the static radio button selected not the dynamic. I click on the dynamic radio button and I can see that all the values and the data service entered before are still there.
Any ideas why this is happening?
Thank you,

Hi Prakash,
As guided this article speaks of passing only 1 parameter to the WAD but here I have the case of passing around 5 params to
the WAD application each can have multiple values....
Can you pease guide how this can be achieved as I modified your code but it accepts only last parameter.
Awaiting your response......
Thx in advance.....

  • Send events from a web service to subscribers

    Hi,
    In many programming interfaces in addition to the result returned by the method and an exception that can occur, you're able to receive asynchronous notification (aka events). My question is how this is enabled with web services. Let me give an example:
    The service foo has one operation called moo.
    MooInput is the input message for moo()
    MooOutput is the output message for moo()
    MooFault is the fault message for moo()
    Is it possible to be able to send events from moo during its execution to consumers listening to its events? if so, how are these expressed in the WSDL of foo?
    Thanks,

    I'll try to give more context on what I'm trying to understand. I'm looking at the manageability of web services (and services in general, e.g. UPnP). Especially at the moment I'm looking at the analogy of SNMP asynchronous events. The purpose of this would be later to compose events coming from multiple web services in BPEL compositions for management of service compositions as part of my research. I do need however the events that the service may send to be manifested somehow in the WSDL. Hope I'm not asking for too much :)
    I've never actually tried anything with WSDM/WS-Management and I was hoping I'd be able to avoid them this time as well...
    Thanks!Which all sounds like it's the sort of thing Notification should handle, if the specs are anything to go by. But without actually trying to put it all together I couldn't say how well it works with current packages (ie Axis 2 and JWS).

  • Sending events from a child frame to a parent

    My application has a main Jframe which instantiates and launches sub-frames. I'd like to send a mouse event from a sub-frame back to the main frame (child to parent).
    For example imagine this simple program: jFrame1 has a text box and a button. When the button is pressed a new instance of a different frame (jFrame2) is launched. The user moves the mouse over to jFrame2 making it the active window, and then clicks somewhere in the frame. The text box back in jFrame1 gets set to the X coordinate of the mouse click over in the other frame.
    Thanks in advance for any responses.

    One way that could work would be to use the Observer pattern here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Observer_pattern
    Quick question though: why are you spawning child JFrames and not JDialogs? The dialogs would seem like a more natural fit.

  • How to send event from flex extension to other flex extension in InDesign?

    I have two extensions created using flex for InDesign. I need to send an event from one of these extensions and capture that event in other extension. How can it be done? Please help me.

    Hi,
    What I believe that data cannt be send from flex to java as hash maps...... we can send data from flex to java, but this data can be in form of array, string or boolean value..... Then the data can be send using ExternalInterface...............
    and if it is web application you need to use java script in between to communicate and if it is desktop application you can send data using MERAPI...
    MERAPI will act as a bridge for sending data from java to flex and vice versa... and you can send any type of data using merapi.

  • Calling events from scripts in UIX

    Hi,
    I am able to call the ordinary events in the UIX from the script. But I am not able to call the

    from the script.
    Could anyone please tell me how to call them.

    Velpandian -
    Assuming your page contains a form, you can trigger an event on the server from a JavaScript handler by calling submitForm(). The following sample shows how to send an event both by using the ctrl:event attribute as well as from a JavaScript handler:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <page xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/controller"
          xmlns:ui="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/ui"
          xmlns:data="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/ui"
          xmlns:ctrl="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/controller">
    <content>
      <form name="foo" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/ui">
      <contents>
        <!-- Import the submitForm() function -->
        <importScript names="submitForm()"/>
        <stackLayout>
        <contents>
          <!-- This link sends an event using a ctrl:event attribute -->
          <link text="Send Event" ctrl:event="test"/>
          <!-- This link sends an event using a JavaScript event handler.
               We use submitForm() and specify the event name using
               a parameter.  Note that this means that we need to be
               sure that we also have an "event" hidden field - which
               we add via a formParameter element below -->
          <link text="Send Event from JavaScript"
                onClick="if (confirm('Send event')) submitForm(0, 0, {'event':'test'}); else return false;"
                destination="#"/>
          <!-- Need a form value to contain the event name -->
          <formParameter name="event"/>
        </contents>
        </stackLayout>
      </contents>
      </form>
    </content>
    <handlers>
      <!-- Use a null event handler to set up a session variable -->
      <event name="test">
        <go name="nextPage"/>
      </event>
    </handlers>
    </page>I couldn't find the documentation for submitForm() online anywhere... Here is a copy of the documentation from our source code:
    * Attempts to submits the form, potentially firing validation and notifying
    * any Cabo onSubmit handlers registered on the form, returning
    * <code>true</code> if the submission actually occurred.
    * <p>
    * If the <code>doValidate</code> parameter is false, no validation will
    * be performed, and the form is guaranteed to be submitted.  Otherwise,
    * the form will be submitted if both the validation succeeds and any
    * registered Cabo onSubmit handlers do not return <code>false</code>.
    * <p>
    * @param form The form to submit.  This can either be the name of the form
    *             in the current <code>document</code>, the index of the form
    *             in the current <code>document</code> or the form itself.
    * @param doValidate boolean value specifying whether validation should
    *   occur before the form is submitted.  (As per a common Javascript
    *   idiom, it is acceptable to pass true/false as well as 0/1).  If
    *   this parameter is ommitted, it defaults to true.
    * @param parameters a single Javascript object that specifies
    *   all the additional key-value pairs to submit.  There must be
    *   pre-existing &lt;input type="hidden"&gt; elements as targets
    *   for each of these parameters.

  • My problem is that my iCal won't sync from my first-generation iPad to my computer, and the computer sends events multiple times back to the iPad... which is now full of duplicate events. I'm NOT on iCloud.

    I'm just an old lady who doesn't know a lot about this stuff, but I do love my iPad and miss my portable calendar! My problem is that my iCal won't sync from my (first-generation, cheaper of the two models) iPad to my computer, and the computer sends events multiple times back to the iPad... which is now full of duplicate events. I'm NOT on iCloud. I've had this problem for nearly a year now. My Really Really Smart son couldn't fix it for me.

    Can take some time.... how much time?
    There's no simple answer to that. My calendar goes back to 2004 and is moderately busy; it took around an hour. It's possible that you've hit a slow period on the server - it happens.
    In order for it to work, your calendars should show on the MobileMe site, they should be listed under your MobileMe login name in the calendar list in iCal (calendars listed under 'On My Mac' will not sync) and your MM account details have to be entered in iCal Preferences>Accounts (this should have happened by itself).
    If it's not working please see the page I linked to.

  • Event of Sending Mail From Outlook Integration Add-On

    Dear Experts,
    I am not able to find the event if I am sending mail from outlook integration add-on. Suppose I open a Sales Order that already entered and click on Mail Menu and click on 'Send' Button (Form Type = 188). It sends the mail successfully from Outlook but I am not able to use the event after that while it shows me operation completed successfully.
    I am writting it as follows:
    if (pVal.FormType == 188 && pVal.ActionSuccess == true && pVal.EventType == BoEventTypes.et_ITEM_PRESSED && pVal.ItemUID == "1")
    I have used it on Form Data Event too but no success.
    if (BusinessObjectInfo.BeforeAction == false)
                    switch (BusinessObjectInfo.EventType)
                        case BoEventTypes.et_FORM_DATA_ADD:
                                switch (BusinessObjectInfo.FormTypeEx)

  • Cannot Send Event Invites From iCal

    I cannot send invited from iCal.
    I am running Lion version 10.8.5.
    When I create a new event and try to invite others to the event their name is grayed out with a question mark next to it.
    My apple ID uses a gmail email address.
    I am using iCloud and syncing to Googlralso using Caldev and I have IOS devices, an  iPhone & iPad and an Android phone
    Any ideas anyone or is this a common problem ?

    Hello. Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I'm having the same one. My wife's iCal invitations are showing up in my iCal "Inbox" but are not coming to me via email. I discovered this while troubleshooting the issue just now...and saw that I had 10+ iCal invites for which I never received email notifications.
    I never proactively check iCal, so definitely need to resolve this issue, as receiving emailed invitations is the only way they're filed into my iCal. Thanks for any insight!

  • Send a keyboard event from labview to C#

    Hi,
    We currently have a program in c# that takes keyboard inputs from a user and will fly a quadrotor. We aim to have a LabView .vi generate keyboard commands based on our experiment and send the commands to the c# code creating a feedback loop where the .vi will keep track of sensor and experimental data.
    Our problem is that we have tried many different methods to send the keyboard commands in LabView.
    1) http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/3711
    2) http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Send-keyboard-commands-to-another-windows-program/td-p/330670/page/2
    as well as other variations and similar .vi's that do the same thing. Here is an example of a .vi used to press the letter "t" once.
    http://i.imgur.com/hwmjZ.png
    All of them can write the string to a text (open notepad put cursor in blank window) file but none can do it in such a way that it is detected by the c# code. On my own I can open and run the c# code and press keyboard buttons myself and the commands are recognized, so I think it could be an issue with how LabView sends the keyboard events and how c# reads them. Here is the c# code segment that we are using to read the input commands:
    public override List<String> GetPressedButtons()
              KeyboardState state = device.GetCurrentKeyboardState();
              List<String> buttonsPressed = new List<String>();
              foreach (Key key in Enum.GetValues(typeof(Key)))
                        if (state[key])
                                  if (!buttonsPressed.Contains(key.ToString()))
                                            buttonsPressed.Add(key.ToString());
              return buttonsPressed;
    Can anyone help trying to figure out why using the keybd_event function in LabView can not interface correctly with the above detection code in c#? I can provide any code and clarification if you think it can be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Andy

    Hi,
    I can't say with certainty where the problem is or even how many there are. I do know that the KeyboardListener.cs class should work according to what I have read online. I also know that if I press the keyboard myself then the state is changed and the correct action is taken. If I try to issue an event from Labview then the event is not captured. Here is the code, it is rather large ~20 MB.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/vsvcje1ro364otu/ARDrone.zip
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/p3h3tj8bcqc29gk/Forward_backward0924.vi
    The key listener is in ARDroneInput>Utils>KeyboardListener.cs and the polling takes place in ARDroneInput>KeyboardInput.cs
    The reason I wanted to use keyboard inputs is because the quadrotor we are using takes keyboard commands W,A,S,D,T and L. Initially I thought having Labview issue these commands would be the simplest method. That may not be the case.
    I was just thinking that it is not necessary that key events are sent from Labview. Instead, one could send an array representing the frequency of each button press rather than the button press directly. In that case an array that is updated continuously from Labview will just have to be kept track of in the C# code. The C# can then convert that to whatever control input we want. Can it be easier to send a vector of numbers in real time to C#?
    If you think it is better to establish a connection between Labview and C# using .NET to send keyboard commands (rather than the vector idea above) can you explain that a little more? How does one go about doing that? If you think the vector idea is simpler how should the interface be set-up?
    I just talked with my collegue and we think that maintaing a .txt file in Labview and having C# read it is the best option. We will begin working on that and will update you tomorrow.
    Thanks,
    Andy

  • How to send a message(apple event) from mac os to our application

    on developer.apple.com i found a method which opens a given documetns through an apple event.
    my question is how to send open document event from mac to our application on xcode

    Assuming you're using Cocoa, the simplest solution is to call -[NSWorkspace openFile:withApplication:]. Example:
    NSWorkspace *ws = [NSWorkspace sharedWorkspace];
    NSString *appPath = [ws absolutePathForAppBundleWithIdentifier: @"com.apple.textedit"];
    [ws openFile: @"/path/to/file" withApplication: appPath];

  • Sending/Editing Events From iPhone To iCal Server?

    Can one send or edit calendar events from iPhone?
    We have nearly a dozen company-wide calendars. They are on a company server in ics files. I see how to subscribe to them on the iPhone. But I cannot see how users would add or change events on the calendars from their iPhones. I cannot even seem to add an event to a subscribed calendar locally -- all new events seem to end up on the local iPhone calendar.
    If the included calendar app can't do these things, is there another app that can?

    No there is not

  • Sending an event from an external window

    Hello everybody,
    Does anybody knows how to send an event from an <b>external window </b> back to the iView that opened it?
    thanks, Adi.

    hi adi,
    try this,create a action and event handler method in
    component controller(cc).Call the method of the component controller from the method(onactionclick) in the external window and pass the parameter.
    <b>wdThis.wdGetcomponentController).eventmethodinccparameter);
    </b>
    Create a event handler method in main view and set the event source  and subscribed event(cc method name) in
    method tab.
    Fire this method from cc
    <b>wdThis.wdFireEventnameinmainview(parameter);</b>
    And finally handle the parameter in a definedmethod of the view(that called external window )
    u can also use contextmapping between component controller and bothview ( external window view and main view)

  • How do I send the iPhoto events from my iMac to my iPad when the two devices are connected by USB port?

    I connected my iPad to my iMac via USB port.  I want to send my iPhoto events/files to my iPad.  I cannot find the right instructions.  It appears to me that the iPad sync only transmits data from the iPad to the iMac, but I am trying to send iPhotos from the iMac to the iPad.  Do I use export or sync?

    You need to use iTunes to sync photos.
    Connect your iPad to your computer. Launch iTunes. Select Photos from the menu. Click the Sync button bottom right side of the iTunes window.
