  • Sending IDOC-xml to R/3 system

    Hi all
I am doing a bypass File to Idoc  scenario.we taking the input file as idoc xml and sending it to R/3 system for IDOC generation.Every thing is normal but in SXMB_MONI its showing Obligatory node E1EDP10 missing while that segment was persent in the input file then we just replaced <E1EDP10> by <E1EDP10 SEGMENT="EIEDP10"> elated! it worked I thought the problem was solved "EUREKA"........But now the client is telling we should not hardcode any value in the input file they have provided i.e we shouldn't add the segment attribute.
Its bypass thats why we can't do mapping also......now we r puzzled ........
can we achieve this by changing the XSD of idoc converting the segment attribute required to optional? or what should be do plz tell us as its urgent.........

Now i need the files to be generated on another machine whose ip address and location is known, insted of being generated on the application server.
Pls can anyone help me in this.

    Hi Mahesh,
    Thanks for your reply.
My requirement is bit different. i have to send Open PR data for diffrent materials. In a 3rd party application user will search for few materials which will generate a report that will show the PR related data for those material.
That means for few selected materials there will be few PR's which may be open, i have to show those in my report.
    Eg: material A, B. are in PR 00001 & material B, C in PR 00002.
After selecting materials A to C report will show
Material                 PR No                   Item No                Quantity
    A                           00001                    10                             1
    B                           00001                     20                            3
    B                           00002                     10                            3
    C                           00002                      10                           1
Same thing i have to do for open PO & open Sales order also.
Can u please help me to provide the solution how can i proceed for it. U have given the Message type & a bapi how it will help in my issue?
I got a suggesion from someone that extend message type matmas for PR, PO, SD related data & send the idoc. but i am confused how to pass that much data ina single IDOC.

  • Integration Broker : Sending peoplesoft Data into JMS queues using  IB

    Hi All,
I am working on integration of peoplesoft and SOA middleware. I am basically SOA middleware developer. So not much aware at peoplesoft side.
My requirement is that need to extract information from peoplesoft and send it to third party systems(through JMS queues) and also i explored that Integration broker is going to help in such cases.
Could you please answer my some of the questions.
1)How can i extract information of peoplesoft. lets say i need to extract customer data from peoplesoft.
    2) steps to send above extracted customer info to third party system using integration broker.
It would be sending information to JMS topics.
So please let me know how we can handle JMS queues in peoplesoft.
Please refer the related documents for outbound interface strategies.
    Thanks inadvance.

    Mike,
Biztalk do have Peoplesoft Adapter. Just configure it and use appropriate Component Interface to push or pull the data.

  • Creating IDoc XML and sending to XI

There is a mechanism to create IDoc XML within SAP ERP through the use of
Change Pointers in concert with a port of type XML File (WE21). This is well
    documented in this document.
    http://www.erpgenie.com/sap/sapedi/Conversion%20of%20IDOCs%20to%20XML%20format.pdf
My question is whether the IDoc XML can be generated using Change Pointers and
the resulting IDoc XML be sent to XI through a RFC Adapter.
Please don't suggest using an IDoc Adapter. I already know how to do that.
    Thanks
    Vamsi

    Hello Vamsi,
    2)  You need  use Sender File Adapter for this. Not by RFC Adapter
1)yes, you can generate IDOC-XML using Change pointer
    for better understanding...

    Hi Chinna,
You can do this in two ways -
    1. Java mapping

  • Idoc to file scenaro ( sending IDOC as it is to NON-SAP)

    Hi Experts,
I am doing idoc to file scenario.
I am having SAP R/3 system with 3 clients(100, 200 & 300), IDOC is comming from SAP R/3( any one of the client)
In this is scenario, I am sending IDOC-XML as it is to the NON-SAP system.
I heard that, i can do in 3 ways. those are
    1. Without any repository objects: you can go ahead with No interface mechanism on the target side.
    2. Without message type: create a message interface whose message type would be idoc itself
    3. With message type: export the IDOC as xsd file and re import the xsd file as an external definition.
If i  go without IR objects,Please tell me whether i need to create Interface objects(i.e. DT,MT & MI) & Mapping objects (MM & IM) or not for the reciever.
    MY ASSUPTION:
step1: I will import the IDOC into IR.
step2: Directly i will go to the ID without desiging any object in IR ( is it ok).
Is my assuption or correct or not?, please tell me.
So please tell me the entire scenario how to achieve this.
    Please help in this issue.

    Hi Laxmi
    1. Without any repository objects: you can go ahead with No interface mechanism on the target side.
    -- Not Possible
    2. Without message type: create a message interface whose message type would be idoc itself
-- No need for the Message Interface for IDOC. You will directly import the IDOC and do the Mapping
    3. With message type: export the IDOC as xsd file and re import the xsd file as an external definition.
-- This is Possible. you are export the IDOC as XSD File and reimport the same. so there is no difference. If you are going to change the IDOC Structure then this is possible.
Here I am sending some links which are useful for IDOC to File Scenario. Please go thru the links given below..
While doing an IDOC -> XI -> File scenario, The Points to noted are:
    1. You don’t need a DT, MT or a message interface for the IDOC as it itself acts as the Message Interface.
    2. You import the IDOC and use the same in your mapping.
    3. In this configuration note that you don’t have a sender agreement as you don’t have a sender IDOC adapter.
If it is that you wanted to send an IDOC from XI (File to IDOC) , then in this case:
points 1 and 2 will remain, but the 3 will not. You will need a sender agreement for the file and a receiver agreement for the IDOC.
    IDOC -> File scenario ref:
    IDoc-XI-File scenario
    File -> IDOC ref:
    File to IDOC
To be able to trigger your IDOC from the SAP ISU system, you will have to set the partner profile in we20. Select your Business System (mostly under Logical system) and then create Outbound entries for whichever IDOC you want to trigger.
You define your basic type also in your partner profile settings, Please go thru the following links to get a better idea about partner profile:

  • How to send IDOC from nonSAP to SAP

    Hi ;
I need to send IDOC from nonSAP to SAP. I have experience it with XI and BC..but now I need sending IDOC to SAP directl without these tools..
Can you explain it via sample? (I know already how to create port , define LP from we20,we21 ).
Firstly Do I need to create a RFC destination ? and I want to send IDOC as XML by HTML post method..Which port must I send?
Must this port point to this RFC?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Here you have to generate an IDOC and convert into XML format and put at required server
third party will accept the IDOC XML not the IDOC.
Just check with ur third party in which format the data is accepted.
if its IDOC XML then u can use the file receiver adapter and place the IDOC XML file on 3rd party folder.
You use the IDoc adapter to have IDocs (intermediate documents) processed by the Integration Engine. IDocs from SAP systems Release 3.1x or higher are supported. You can also use the IDoc adapter to connect non-SAP systems to the Integration Engine.
The IDoc adapter converts the IDocs to IDoc XML format so that they can be processed by the Integration Server pipeline.
You can also transfer XML in IDoc format received from the Integration Server to connected systems. The Integration Server pipeline must convert the received XML to IDoc XML, and then transfer this IDoc XML to the IDoc adapter. The IDoc adapter converts the IDoc XML to native IDoc format and sends the IDoc to the identified receiver system using the standard IDoc interface.

  • Idoc xml message in JMS adapter

    Hi All,
    Question 1:
My scenario is MQ series(JMS adaptr) to SAP(IDOC adptr) . In my mapping both source and target structure is same IDOC structure.Where MQ series will send IDOC xml. In such case shall i need to do content conversion at JMS adapter level or not.whthr IDOC xml can be directly handle at Mapping level without doing any content conversion in adapter level.
    Question 2(viceversa):
SAP(IDOC adptr) to MQ series(JMS adaptr) . In my mapping both source and target structure is same IDOC structure.Where MQ series expect me IDOC xml. How to handle content conversion at JMS recvr adapter level.
my assumption only in case of (xml to plain) and (plain to xml) require content conversion here my Input and output is IDOC xml.

  • Can't Figure Out How To Import XML into a Table?

    HELP!
I've been using InDesign for several years now... but everything Ive ever done has been basic one off layout concepts.
I am working on a website for a musical theater actress and for her resume, Id like to make a PDF which lists in table format the show, theatre and role she had for each job.
I could do this manually... but Id really like to learn how to just reuse the same XML data that I have for her website and import it into InDesign.
I have looked at Adobe's help file, I have scoured the internet, and I still can't figure it out... I have done like the adobe support file says... and I cant seem to get the values I create in her resume xml file to show up in a table I create in InDesign.
I even tried to simplify it for the learning process and did something as basic as an XML file that has 5 colors... couldnt even get that working.
So could someone explain it to me like Im a 5 year old... how to take a XML file, import it, place it in a table and have the data actually show up in the table.
    thanks,
    brian

Are you sure you want to use XML with tables for this? No doubt importing XML into tables is useful for some specialized tasks, such as importing formatting information inside the XML itself, but for most of the familiar tasks that XML excels at, tables are neither necessary nor useful.
In my (limited) experience, if the XML elements are well-differentiated, by which I mean different types of data have their own distinctive tags, then the special powers of XML can be exploited more fully using the more familiar tagged text, nested tags etc. in ordinary text frames using paragraph breaks, tab characters, etc. to achieve a suitably "tabular" finished appearance.
If you must import XML into tables, I recommend Adobe's own PDF "Adobe InDesign CS3 and XML: A Technical Reference" availabe here:
    http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/indesign/articles/indcs3ip_xmlrules.pdf
It sounds very daunting -- the words "technical reference" make me shudder -- but actually it's very readable and not very technical at all. Some nice pics and everything!

  • Idoc to flat file mapping using XSLT

    Hi,
i am using XSLT mapping. my requirement is mapping between idoc and flat file(xml to text). as i do not want to use FCC, i have opted for xslt mapping. please let me know any article which would be helpful for this.
    regards,
    Meenakshi

    Hi Meenakshi,
    Two things:
    1. Achieving this functionality  using XSLT is very difficult.
    2. Secondly you may not be able to find a direct document to convert IDoc-XML to flat file using XSLT in sdn. Try google.
I found one link like that may be you can get some idea from there
    http://www.stylusstudio.com/SSDN/default.asp?action=9&read=6453&fid=48
Also if you have a XSLT editor like XMLSPY or stylus studio then creating your specific XSLT will b much more simpler

  • SAP IDOC XML to Flat File Conversion

    Hello,
I have downloaded SAP schema through the "Consume Adapter Service" with properties GenerateFlatFileCompatibleIdocSchema = "true" and FlatFileSegmentIndicator = "SegmentType". I am trying to convert IDOC XML into a IDOC Flat File.
Though the flat file gets created it has a "/" at the end of each blank field which I do not want in the flat file. I see the schema has <recordInfo structure="delimited"...> which I believe should be "positional". I tried
changing preserve_delimiter_for_empty_data="True" and suppress_trailing_delimiters="False" properties also but did not help.
I would appreciate any help on this.
    Thanks,

    Hi Tarun....
please check this property set this property GenerateFlatFileCompatibleIDoc is set to false

  • Problems with sending IDocs into R/3 using BPM

    Hi Vishnu,
as I have read the forum, you have experience with sending IDocs into R/3 from XI using the BPM.
Did you have problem, that this sending takes very long time?
My BPM splits the xml, sends IDoc into R/3 immediately, but the processing of the 2nd IDoc takes 6-10 minutes!
Do you have any idea, what could be wrong?
    Thanx 4 answer, Peter

Vishnu, I was discussing this problem in another thread, but no helpful answer was sent, and I have read, that you have experience, so - just for explanation
    Well,
yes, this situation is really strange.. New facts are:
when I send into XI XML, which is splitted in the BPM only into 1 IDoc, it is processed immediately. When I send there XML for 2 IDocs, the first is processed immediately, the 2nd starts immediately, but end of process is after 6-10 minutes, it depends... Then I tried to send there XML for 10 IDocs - and now attention please! 5 of them have been processed almost immediately, 5 of them after 8 minutes...  The last test was with 16 items - 6 processed immediately, 10 after 10 minutes...  And all these 10 minutes was my 4 processor XI box unavailable, with over 60% load... But finally the IDocs arrive!!
    Any explanation???
    This is really unbelievable situation!
Port name is SAPDEV, rfc destination DEVCLNT100
Actually, when I was creating the scenarion using the wizard and trying to add my communication channel(IDoc type) to receiver agreement, I got error - communication channel is not configured correctly, use another one. But somewhere I read, that I should create the receiver agreement manually. So I did.
    To my BPM:
    -receive MSG
-switch (but I'm testing only one branch now) - and the MSG message is always passed here, it's ok
-then I have transformation to MultiMSG (message with multiple DATA for multiple IDOCS)
-then comes the split mapping Multi2SingleMSG
-then ForEach Block with sending the Single MSG
this is the end of the BPM, and outside the BPM comes the mapping Single2IdocMSG and sending the IDoc into R/3
before I had the Single2Idoc mapping in the BPM, but thought, that this could be the bottleneck, so moved the mapping after the BPM... It didn't help...
    So, what do you say?
    Peter
