Sending Mail with HUF / JPY currency in Workflow
Hi Friends ,
I have the below requirement .
I have to send PO for approval throug Workflow . I am using " SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1" inside one method to send mail through Workflow .
My Requirement - For JPY / HUF currency PO , Price of PO has to be sent to the Approver which has to be displayed in the Format of Approver's User settings in the mail . Decimal Notation should be as per Approver's User settings.
My Issue - When the workflow triggers user WF-BATCH takes care of fetching the PO price as per its format .( Decimal notaion mentioned for WF-BATCH user ) . Now this has to be changed as per the Approvers formal ( decimal notation ) in the mail that is being sent to Approver after the method execution .
Brief clarification of the issue is mentioned below -
My WF-BATCH user has format of decimal notaion - (1.234.567,89) ,
Approver's has format of decimal notation - X (1,234,567.89)
The PO price in HUF currency is being picked by WF-BATCH user in the method as per its decimal notation .
This formal has to be changed to Approver's decimal notaion format in the method so that same format can be sent in the mail .
If any one has come across this type of requirement , guidance to solve this will be highly appreciated .

Hi,
You can solve in two ways.
1. Transfer the the value WF-INITIATOR to the method. Then update the Sy-uname start of the method or before the calling the " SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1".
SY-UNAME = lv_user ( where lv_user holds the wf-initiator value[leading US must be removed] )
( background user will be changed from WF-BATCH to wf initiator )
2. convert the date format by using the follwing methods before calling the FM " SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1".
/MRSS/RMOR_USER_CONVERT_DATE
CONVERT_DATE_TO_External
CONVERT_DATE_TO_INTERNAL

I have written a function module with following steps,
1. Convert SPOOL number to PDF using Function Module 'CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF'.
2. Send mail with PDF attachment using Function Module 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1'.
The Function Module is giving required output when tested and called in the report(Background Job).
When I call this Function Module from Method-> Workflow Task the Workflow steps status is 'In Process' and not ending.

When you try to send mail, You need to call the function FP_JOB_OPEN before calling the function module to generate the pdf. ( /1B****) . Is it missing in your code? -

Take a look at the documentation of FM 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1' for parameter PACKING_LIST. I think you should set t_packing_list-head_num to a different value than 0 for the second attachment.

Sending mail with attachment fails on MAC Mail and WRP400.
We have hundreds of WRP400 connected with Mac (Machintosh) computers. No special configurations are applied (no virtual server or DMZ). Web navigation, P2P programs and sending mail without attachment work right.
The problem is the impossibility to send mails with medium or big size files attachment from MAC Mail.
If we use Windows PCs or a different linksys routers (eg. WRT54G) the problem not happens.
We have upgraded WRP400 firmware version from 1.00.06 to 2.00.05 but the result is the same. Sending mail with attachment using Mac fails.
We tried to configure WRP400 with DMZ to a particular MAC. We tried to configure Virtual server on tcp 25 port of a MAC. The result is always the same.
This is a WRP400 bug? Windows PCs work right. MAC and MAC mail works right with other linksys router.
We need help. Thanks.The problem was fixed since beta firmware 2.00.11.
I think that this issue was caused from a bug that decrease upload bitrate of WRP400 after some days of activity.

And also the Utl_mail is very slow. Its using RAW type.
I can use the javamail package to solve this problem, this javamail package needs to download into server from there you can attach thus documents into mail. But I want fetch the documents and ate the same time I want attach to a mail. Like yahoo attach or msn attachment.

I am sending a mail to outlook with an excel attachment. The mail is sent with attachment and the data, but all in one cell.
I am using SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1. What parameters do i need to manipulate to have data in different columns of excel? I am using "packing_list" table of FM. But dont know the exact parameters to be passed. Can anyone help with the same please?

I'm trying to send mail with a PDF attached. I've been set up on exchange server 2007... Sending mail without an attachment works fine.
Was wondering if anyone knows if this is a known issue or if I'm simply doing something wrong. The attachment has sent fine using Outlook web access... So it's not a problem with our connection.

LucyDitto to the comments on configuring EWS to deal with larger attachments. The instructions to do this are, unfortunately, very confusing as some configuration items are in MB and some are in KB and some are in bytes!
I worked with our sys admins to get this running, I knew things were better when I could send large attachments with Entourage Web Services Edition. I am still having occasional problems with large attachments not being sendable with Mail.app. I am hoping that 10.6.1 might tweak something to fix this?

While you are at it, you may want to have them check attachment limits for Outlook Web Access (OWA) if you find yourself using that and get bitten by the same 5 MB limit issue. Note that OWA and EWS have separate settings and are changed in different ways!

Receiving mail, but can't send mail with attachments?

I can't send mails anymore, I have been able to send some without any attachments (i.e. reply doesn't work as it automatically attaches the original text). This started 3 days ago. Also, my mail doesn't seem to recognize powerpoint and word docs., but I a know the people who have send me such files do not have VISTA. When I choose "open with" then it works. So I have 2 problems, one being moe urgent then the other.
1) can't send mail with attachments
2) .doc (word), .pps (powerpoint)attachments are not always recognized.

I can recieve mail just fine. It's only when I try to send it. I've tried changing the outgoing server to smtp.aol.com and 4.78.166.10.
changed the ports from 25 to 587 to 1024.

powermac g4 Mac OS X (10.3.9)My girlfriend and I are RoadRunner customers and RR allows using an SMTP server outside of their network as long as the SMTP server is authenticated.
I set up my girlfriend's AOL account in Tiger Mail (and the only email account she uses) on my old TiBook that I loaned her until she purchases her own Mac and she sends mail with her AOL account with no problems.
The AOL SMTP server settings are as follows:
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.aol.com
Server Port: 587
Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL): Off or not selected.
Authentication Type: Password
User Name: Your AOL screen name or the portion of your AOL email address in front of the @ sign only.
Password: The password for this screen name/email account - the same used for checking the account for new mail.
If your settings are the same, try deleting and recreating the account in Mail.
If this doesn't work and it should since it works for my girlfriend, you can select/use the RR SMTP server to send mail with your AOL account which is invisible to all recipients.
