Server appears to start but fails when accessed

I have installed (and re-installed) the application server (version 8.2) and it appears to be successful - I have just taken all the defaults along the way.
When I try http://localhost:8080/ it fails every time. The log is below.
the PATH variable is set to: C:\Sun\AppServer1\bin;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_05\bin
Can anyone give me some suggestions as to what I have done wrong, please?

The PATH must be consistently formated (e.g. C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0\bin; ) or the Appserver may not be able to start and/or stop.  Mixed quoted spaces in your PATH can cause problems, so the launcher will remove all double quotes before invoking the process. The most reliable solution would be to remove all spaces from your path before starting the Appservers components.  |#]

  • Unit test runs perfectly fine with NUnit but fails when run from TestExplorer

    Hello all,
    I have a TestProject, Harmony.Tests. In there, I have a method AddApplicationEvent()
    which calls another method Send(InvokeRequestMessage requestMessage) which calls a webservice (OperationHandlerBrokerWebService).
    The code snippet looks like this. This is not the complete code but a part where we are calling the web service. It fails on the underlined Italic line of code.
    OperationHandlerBrokerWebService brokerService = new OperationHandlerBrokerWebService();
    brokerService.UseDefaultCredentials = true;
    brokerService.Url = address;
    brokerService.Timeout = timeoutInMilliseconds;
    byte[] serializedResponseMessage = brokerService.InvokeOperationHandler(serializedRequestMessage);
    The same test works and passed fine when I ran it with NUnit, but failed with following exception when I tried to run it from TestExplorer.

    I am not sure what causing the issue. I checked the Credentials, Windows Identity during both the test run and there is no difference. Please advise !!
    Thanks,
    Deepak

    Hi Tina,
    Thanks for your reply.
    I do have NUnit adapter installed. I even noticed that the test runs fine with NUnit GUI and also if I run it through Resharper Test Explorer window.
    As you can see in the image above the same test is passed when I ran it from Resharper Unit Test Explorer window but fails when I ran it from Test Explorer window. I also captured the information on fiddler.
    There was a significant difference in the Header Content length. Also under the User-Agent property the protocol versions are different.
    Not sure why VSTest ExecutionEngine is picking a different version.
    The UnitTest in question is calling a webservice method which in turn calls a method from another referenced project.

  • SSIS package works in development environment but fails when job scheduler executes, file path invalid

    SIS package works in development environment but fails when job scheduler executes, file path invalid
    Relatively simple package to get OLE-DB connection to MS FoxPro 9.0 DB
    The failure in the job log states that the path is invalid its a network path (\\192.168.1.xxx\foldername) this has been run several ways with the remote computer being mapped as a network drive and through the \\ notation described above.
    Thinking it was a security issue between the SQL agent account and my account I tested by subsitution myself as a proxy account for the agent when running this job, again same result failed on network path.
    One issue I see is that the remote computer is running Server 2000 (legacy software incompatable with newer versions)
    Is it possible that this is a security issue, since if i understand correctly the current MS domain security model didn't exist until Server 2003.

    Hi REIData,
    Have you got the issue resolved? Based on your description, please make sure the target folder is shared properly. If the computer on which the SQL Server Agent job runs doesn’t join the domain as the server that hosts the shared folder, you have to share
    the folder with everyone by adding “Everyone” to the people list on the File Sharing page of the folder and assign "Read/Write" permission to it.

    Hello, I have an issue with surfing with Firefox. The browser starts but can't access any website. The same issue is experienced with Google Chrome. On the other hand, Internet Explorer works smoothly. Thanks

    Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set
    to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your
    updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow
    Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
    * Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
    * Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
    '''[https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/configure-firewalls-so-firefox-can-access-internet Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet.]''' {web link}

  • Scp works when logging with my user id but fails when using another one

    Hello all:
    I wrote a script that uses scp to transfer specific local files to a server. The script takes the user id and password and pass them as scp's parameters for authentication.
    Everything works fine when I uses my own user id to test the script but it fails when I used another id (with ligitimate password) to do the same thing.
    I suspect it's a privilege issue. Both ids belong to the same group. Where should I look to fingure this out?
    Thanks,
    John

    SCP is part of SSH. SSH requires the exchange of authorization keys to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks.
    When you log in the first time you may see a prompt like:
    RSA key fingerprint is 98:2e:d7:e0:de:9f:ac:67:28:d2:42:2e:37:16:58:45.
    Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)?
    This might be where your script fails. Since it prompts only the first time, you may just have to do one interactive SSH login to create an entry in ~/.ssh/known_hosts
    Or setup User equivalence to omit the exchange of passwords.

  • MPR testing is passed, but failed when upload Result Package to verify.

    Hi,
    I am attempting to certify our application using MPR-Test-Tool v4.6 for Windows Server 2012 R2.
    The MPR tool shows the testing Pass, and generated a .zip Result Package.
    But it's failed when uploads the .zip Result Package to verify in MPR web-site "Test My Apps" page, both Silver and Gold level are failed.
    In the "Test My Apps" page, I couldn't find the reason, error message or some hint for the failure.
    I am appreciate any help,
    Regards.
    Regards,

    Hello,
    Please check if you import the certificate into the Exchange server "Trusted Root Certificates".
    If there is a CA server in your domain, you also need to import your certificate into the trusted root certificates on the CA server.

  • CR2008 report runs in designer but fails when deployed

    Hi,
    I have a report that was originally developed in CR XI. It worked perfectly fine in CRS XI also. We upgraded the server to CRS2008. But my report does not run on the server now. It gives the error "Invalid field name". However, the report runs fine when run from CR 2008 developer, CR XI and CRS XI. It gives the error when run from CRS2008 or run via a dot.net application.
    Any help to resolve this issue is highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • EDT Cat. 15 Data loaded to SAP but failed when updating

    Hi,
    I have an structure to load data into BP using KCLJ with Cat 15.
    Here it is.
    AKTYP
    TYPE
    PARTNER
    ROLE1
    KUNNR
    KUNNR_EXT
    BU_GROUP
    FIBUKRS
    CHIND_ADDR
    NAME_CO
    NAME_ORG1
    NAME_ORG2
    STREET
    STR_SUPPL1
    STR_SUPPL2
    STR_SUPPL3
    LOCATION

    POST_CODE1
    CITY1
    COUNTRY
    REGION
    LANGU
    CHIND_TEL
    TEL_NUMBER
    TEL_EXTENS
    We had the data loaded to SAP with ROLE 000000 and TR0100 but somehow when we tried to update the address thru ROLE TR0100, we had a dump and failed to update. However, the update is good when we use ROLE 000000 to update.
    Anyone would have a clue of this?
    Thanks

    I am new to EDT also. I know Cat 15 which can load BP. SAP has more categories which can load more using KCLJ. Here's my experience.
    Under Tcode SIMGH, find IMG structure External Data Transfer for SAP Banking. Under that structure, you can find Display Required and Optional Entry Fields for SEM Banking. When you enter 15 in the Category box, you'll see a whole list of fields about BP. You can use these fields to create your own structure.
    After you created your structure, use Define Sender Structure under External Data Transfer for SAP Banking to define your structure. After that, it is done. You can try use KCLJ to load your BP.
    If you still have other issues, mostly will be the configuration.
    Enjoy.

  • Firefox starts, but fails to display websites with no error message.

    Firefox starts, but when it tries to connect to a real website, i.e. google.com, mozilla.com, etc. it just... doesn't. There is no error message. There is no progress bar. No "Loading...". Nothing. It just continues to say "Untitled" in the tab name.
    I tried updating to the latest firefox version. I tried reinstalling firefox. I tried creating a new profile. I tried clearing cache/cookies/etc. Nothing I did caused any change.
    I have noticed that if I attempt to type in a random string of characters (clearly not a real website) or a made-up ip address, then it displays the proper error message... intermittently. I just tested it again, and apparently it doesn't always work.
    *sigh* What now?
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == I went back to firefox after using Chrome.

    I have mac. And I have the same problem.
    First page loads - and I can click on any link from that to continue opening it in tabs. But when I open new tab cmd+t and enter a website address to location bar, nothing happens.
    I don't have a firewall.
    I already deleted Firefox from applications and reinstalled.

  • HT1491 Search option tab doesn't appear on my iTunes Store when accessed from iPad or iphone

    iTunes Store has recently been launched in India ....however search option tab seems to be missing in the app when accessed from iPad or iPhone. Also the purchase option is visible in iPad but missing in iPhone

    Me too. 34000+ items.
    Gotta wonder if that's a factor.
    Just now I removed all remotes from iTunes.
    (Prefs > Devices > Forget All Remotes)
    Then I turned on Home Sharing on my iPhone.
    (Tap the gear icon in the Library selection screen.)
    Previously the iPhone was registered as a regular remote.
    So both devices are controlling iTunes via home sharing.
    Now iTunes is not crashing at all, in full-screen mode or otherwise.
    Not sure if it will last, but time will tell.
    Hope this is useful to you.
    I'll post back if the crashes return.

  • Server in RUNNING state but failed to start

    Hello everyone,
    I create a domain using WLST and then I start the AdminServer (WLS 12.1.1, Java 7 Update 21). I have done this in several physical servers and experienced no problem. Now I am experiencing the following problem in one of the physical servers-

    So the server suceeds to go into RUNNING mode but the WLST startServer command fails to start the server. I went through all logs and compared them to successful instalations and found no difference. Does anyone have a clue about what might cause this problem or how I can I start the server using WLST in a trace mode so I get more information about what is going on?
    Thanks

    Try to backup-delete folder data, cache and tmp on $WLH/domains/DOMAIN/servers/YOURSERVER/ and retry, you should have a lock there that keep you from restarting.

  • Using Target disk mode from hard drive which is starting to fail, when I move files, I get a preparing to copy message but nothing happens. Any ideas?

    Hello, i have a MacBook Pro. The hard drive is failing to such an extent that I can't currently use the computer, only things like utility mode etc. I have connected it unto my iMac and using a Firewire in target disk mode, I am attempting to move files across using that mode. The HD of the Macbook Pro appears in the IMac devices menu and I copy and paste the appropriate folders/files but as I do this I get a progress bar which says "preparing to copy" but then nothing appears to happen. Any ideas on what to do? Is there a password or other issue here that I am over-looking. Perhaps the hard drive of my macbook pro is so corrupted that I can't move files over. Any help would be great?

    Try moving smaller groups of files. I' guessing that you don't have a backup huh?

  • When I try to execute Firefox, it appears to start but doesn't. It seems the internet cache is still loaded from before. How do I clear this (I have that feature checked to delete cache on Firefox shutdown)?

    This happens each time I try to start Firefox. I click the icon, my cursor goes into busy mode, then just stops. When I tried to run CCleaner, it tells me I need to stop Firefox. I pressed Ctrl/Alt/Delete and it doesn't show it as running. I went to processes tab and ended task of Firefox.exe and it still won't start.

    Did you find the Firefox profile folder?
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
    "Application Data" in XP/Win2K and "AppData" in Vista/Windows 7 are hidden folders, use %APPDATA% in the File name field<br />
    Go to: Control Panel > Folder Options > "View" tab > under "Hidden files and folders", select "Show hidden files and folders"<br />
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders

  • When loading firefox i get an error message, "can't find ////jpsnotify.exe. now firefox loads but every time i go into anything else it appears. this started to happen when i downloaded a new verison of java.

    i downloaded a new version of Java and i then started getting "windows can't find c:\java\jre6\lib\deploy\jqs\ff\..\..\..\bin\jqsnotify.exe. now this only happens when loading firefox. it happens through out the use of firefox when loading other programs. any suggestions?
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened

    Try re-installing Java. See [[Using the Java plugin with Firefox]]
    A quick search for jqsnotify.exe on Google indicates that it is related to the Java quick start option.
