Server does not create ois ?

Hi folks !
At first I wanted to send some Strings via the Client to the Server and print them onto the screen. On a specific String "antwort" I would like to send an Object k from the Server to the Client and prove on the Client the correctness of the object by reading the attribute set on the serverside before sending.
But somehow the server does not create the ObjectInputStreams and I dont know why.
Thats the code:
// Server:
public class Server {
public Server() {
try{
String input = new String();
ServerSocket sock = new ServerSocket(16348);
Socket socket = sock.accept();
System.out.println("socket"); // this line is printed on connection
ObjectInputStream sockin = new ObjectInputStream(socket.getInputStream());
System.out.println("objectinputstream"); // but this one never appears
ObjectOutputStream sockout = new ObjectOutputStream(socket.getOutputStream());
Kunde k = new Kunde();
k.setNummer(13);
while(!input.equals("Ende")){
input = sockin.readObject().toString();
if(input.equals("antwort")){
sockout.writeObject(k);
sockout.flush();
sockout.reset();
System.out.println(input);
socket.close();
catch(Exception e){
public static void main(String[] args) {
// TODO code application logic here
new Server();
// The Client
public class Client {
public Client() {
try{
Socket sock = new Socket("localhost",16348);
// System.out.println(sock.isOutputShutdown());
sock.setSoTimeout(5000);
System.out.println("socket hergestellt");
ObjectInputStream sockin = new ObjectInputStream(sock.getInputStream());
System.out.println("sockin");
ObjectOutputStream sockout = new ObjectOutputStream(sock.getOutputStream());
System.out.println("sockout");
String eing = "";
System.out.println("vor while");
while(!eing.equals("close")){
eing = erwarteEingabe();
System.out.println("Sende:"+eing);
if(eing.equals("antwort")){
sockout.writeObject(eing);
Kunde k = (Kunde)sockin.readObject();
System.out.println("Nummer des Kunden: "+k.getNr());
else{
sockout.writeObject(eing);
sockout.flush();
sockout.reset();
catch(Exception e){
System.out.println(e);
public static void main(String[] args) {
// TODO code application logic here
new Client();
private String erwarteEingabe(){
String eing = "";
System.out.println("nehme Eing entgegen");
try{
BufferedReader b = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
return b.readLine();
catch(Exception e){
System.out.println(e);
return "";
}

When you create an ObjectInputStream it tries to read the object stream header from the underlaying stream. In this case both your server and client are waiting for the other one to send the header before they can continue. This problem can be avoided by simply creating the object output streams first:ObjectOutputStream sockout = new ObjectOutputStream(socket.getOutputStream());
ObjectInputStream sockin = new ObjectInputStream(socket.getInputStream());

  • Can't Create a Data Source - Failed to test connection. [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied

    Hi there,
    I am having a serious issue with The Power BI Data Management Gateway which I am hoping that someone can help me with.
    Basically I am setting a connection between a Power BI demo site and a SQL 2012 Database based on Azure. The Data Management Gateway and is up and running, and Power BI has managed to connect to it successfuly.
    By following the tutorials at
    here I was able to successful create my Data Connection Gateway with a self-signed certificate.
    However, when trying to create the data source I come into problems. The Data Source Manager manages to successfully resolve the hostname, as per the screenshot below:
    Bear in mind that I exposed the require ports in Azure as endpoints and I managed to modify my hosts file on my local machine so I could access the SQL server hosted in Azure using its internal name -- otherwise I would not be able to get this far.
    However the creation of the data source also fails when trying to created it whilst logged in the SQL server in question:
    The Data Source Manager returns the error when using the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server:
    Failed to test connection. [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied
    I tried using the SQL Server Native Client 11.0 instead but I also get an error. This time the error is:
    Failed to test connection. Login timeout expiredA network-related or instance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. Server is not found or not accessible. Check if instance name is correct and if SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. For more information see SQL Server Books Online.Named Pipes Provider: Could not open a connection to SQL Server [53].
    Some considerations
    If I provide an invalid username/password, the Data Source Manager does say that the username and password is incorrect.
    Firewall is turned off in the SQL Server (either way, this error also happens if I try top use the Data Source Manager whilst logged in the SQL Server itself).
    SQL Profiler does not show any attempt of connection.
    The SQL server instance in question is the default one.
    The error happens regardless if I select the option to encrypt connection or not.
    In SQL Configuration manager I can see that all protocols are enabled (TCP/IP, Named Pipes and Shared Memory.
    The Event Viewer does not provide any further errors than the one I have copied in this post.
    I'm at a loss here. Could someone please advise what might I be doing wrong?
    Regards,
    P.

    Here is what I had to do to solve this issue:
    Basically I had to add the MSSQL TCP/IP port as an end-point in Azure. After I did that, then I was able to create the data-source. However, I was only able to authenticate with a SQL account, as any domain account would return me an error saying that the
    domain isn't trusted.
    What puzzles me here is how come the Data Source Manager would inform me that an account username/password was invalid, but it would fail/timeout if I provided valid credentials (!?!?!!?)

  • Core dump are creates even though my server does not crash

    I am having an issue with a large number of core dump files getting generated by jrockit that occupies the disk space daily almost 8 files are generated of size 150 to 800 MB
    However, what amazes me is that the weblogic server does not crash
    I have also checked the logs there where certain errors but not something that could crash my servers and the weblogic server was running all the time.
    I know I can stop the generation of core dump files by using ulimit. But if I do so and if my Jrockit crashes It wont generate the core dump file that would be needed
    My configuration is
    a)     WLS Version:10.3.2.0

  • Mail does not create new emails based on the highlighted mailbox, but rather the receiving mailbox of whatever individual email happens to be highlighted. This was not the case prior to Lion. Is this a bug or an error on my part?

    Mail does not create new emails based on the highlighted mailbox, but rather according the receiving mailbox of whatever individual email happens to be highlighted. This was not the case prior to Lion. Is this a bug or an error on my part? (I do have the setting for creating new emails from the highlighted mailbox checked.)

    The questions about time was not only because of thinking about the Time Machine, but also possible impact on recognizing which messages remaining on a POP server (doesn't apply to IMAP) have been already downloaded. In the Mail folder, at its root level, in Mail 3.x there is a file named MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded3 that should prevent duplicate downloading -- some servers may not communicate the best with respect to that, and the universal index must certainly be involved in updating that index file. If it corrupts, it can inhibit proper downloading. However, setting the account up in a New User Account and having the same problem does not point that way, unless your POP3 server is very different from most.
    That universal index is also typically involved when messages are meant to be moved from the Inbox to another mailbox -- in Mail 3.x the message does not move, but rather is copied, and then erased from the origin mailbox. That requires updating the Envelope Index to keep track of where the message is, and should keep track of where it is supposed to have been removed after the "Move".

  • Adobe After Effects CC 2014 Multi-machine rendering does not create RCF after Collect-File

    This was working in the previous release.  After going through all of the steps to perform a multi-machine render, not only does it say it is limiting it to 5 machines instead of the usual 99 (and I have over 100 cores on the render farm) but "Collect Files" (File/Dependencies/Collect Files) does not create the Render Control File (RCF) that kicks off the process on the other machines, like it did before and is supposed to do.
    This release was supposed to fix the 32 core limitation on render nodes (my server has 48), but now does nothing at all.
    Anyway, I assume there is a check box somewhere that says "do something" that hasn't been checked and another that says "Maybe my machine has more than 5 cores", and I would appreciate being steered in the direction of these new mis-features.
    Just as background, the 48 core server does show the little TV screen that monitors the watch folder, and I know for a fact that process looks for the "RCF" file.  Looking at the directory specified for "collect files", I can see that no RCF file is created, only 1 file, a report.txt file which contains this information is produced:
    Report created:
      7/9/2014 1:54:12 AM
    Project name: highup.aep

    The dialog box has been slightly refactored.  You must click "Allow watch folder rendering" and then all is good.  Hope this helps anyone else.  Thanks to Rafil at customer support chat for this.

  • The requested operation could not be performed because OLE DB provider "MSOLAP" for linked server does not support the required transaction interface.

    I am getting the following error when attempting to INSERT the results of an "EXEC(@MDXQuery) at SSAS LinkedServer":
    The requested operation could not be performed because OLE DB provider "MSOLAP" for linked server does not support the required transaction interface.
    Here is code that illustrates what I am doing:
    DECLARE @MDX varchar(max);
    SET @MDX='
    SELECT
    [Measures].[Extended Service Count]
    } ON COLUMNS,
    NON EMPTY [Organization].[By Manufacturer].[Manufacturer]

    FROM [MyCube]

    EXECUTE(@MDX) at SSASLinkedServer;
    /* Test 2 */
    DECLARE @ResultsB TABLE (
    Manufacturer varchar(255)
    , ExtendedServiceCount float
    INSERT INTO @ResultsB (Manufacturer, ExtendedServiceCount) EXECUTE(@MDX) at SSASLinkedServer;
    Test 1 succeeds, returning expected results, and Test 2 fails returning the error mentioned above.
    Other articles I've found so far don't seem to apply to my case.  I am not creating any explicit transactions in my code.   When I use OPENQUERY, I am able to do the insert just fine, but not when I use EXEC @MDX at LinkedServer.
    Unfortunately in some variations of the query, I run into the 8800 character limit on OPENQUERY, so I need to use this other approach.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Tab,
    In this case, SQL Server Analysis Services doesn’t support Distributed Transactions by design. Here is a similar thread about this issue for your reference, please see:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/8b07be45-01b6-49d4-b773-9f441c0e44c9/olaplinked-server-error-msolap-for-linked-server-olaplinked-server-does-not-support-the?forum=sqlanalysisservices
    One workaround is that use SQLCMD to execute the EXEC AT command and saved the results to a file, then import using SSIS.

  • After upgrading to 10.9 Server 3 XMPP server does not accept account with domain instead of FQDN

    Hi,
    I've had this issue before when upgrading to 10.8 from 10.7. The issue is that my previous working jabber ID ([email protected]) stops working and I can only login to the XMPP server using [email protected] In previuos upgrades, all I had to do to fix the issue was to re-add the domain witrh the serveradmin tool, adding it to the jabber:hostsCommaDelimitedString.
    #serveradmin settings jabber:hostsCommaDelimitedString="host.domain.com,domain.com"
    In 10.9 this does not work. Both host and domain entries are already in the config but I still can only login when changing my JID to be [email protected]
    Any hints?
    Regard,
    //Staffan

    Solved it myself! It seems like the #serveradmin script for modifying / adding the domain aliases to the ejabberd server does not work correctly. After looking through the different sm_.xml files created when adding a domain the script does not modify the <local><id> that the server uses to identify the JID with.
    After manually modifying that id to match my domain, and restarting the ejabberd server, it works fine again!
    It seems like when adding or modifying the jabber:hostsCommaDelimitedString="" the server default hostname is always inserted into the <local><id>.

  • Compiler warning: Source folder "server" does not exist and will be ignored

    Hi,
    i am using NWDS 7.0 SP16. I have a development component type "J2EE Sever Library", which uses a java component. Everything works fine, except during the build i get a warning "Warning: Source folder "server" does not exist and will be ignored.".
    Then i created the folder named "server" manually, but the build finished again with warning, now saying:
    "Warning: Source folder "server" exists but is empty and will be ignored."
    I created a dummy-file in the directory "server" and now the compilation is fine, no warnings.
    I like to get my build free of any warnings, so what's wrong here? I found no documentation to create the folder/file manually.
    Any help is appreciated.

  • Server does not support setting more than 5 shared access policy identifiers on a single container

    Hi,
    I upload a video file to a new Asset. I then attempt to create a streaming URL by creating an Access Policy and then a Locator, which I use to generate the URL used for streaming.This works great. Until the 6th time you execute
    that code against the same Asset. Then you receive this error:
    "Server does not support setting more than 5 shared access policy identifiers on a single container."
    So, that's fine. I don't need to create a new AccessPolicy everytime, I can reuse the one I've created previously, build a Locator using that same policy. However, even then, I get the error about 5 shared access policies on a single container.
    Is this the Lmitation of media service? or am I missing something?
    Following is the code I used for this:
    if (AssetId != "")
                    inputAsset = (from a in _context.Assets
                                  where a.Id == AssetId
                                  select a).FirstOrDefault();
                    policy= (from a in _context.AccessPolicies where a.Name==inputAsset.Name select a).FirstOrDefault();
                    var assetFile = inputAsset.AssetFiles.Create(Path.GetFileName(singleFilePath));
                    var locator = _context.Locators.CreateLocator(LocatorType.Sas, inputAsset, policy);
                    assetFile.Upload(singleFilePath);
                    locator.Delete();
                    MediaElement media = new MediaElement();
                    media.AssetId = inputAsset.Id;
                    media.Title = Path.GetFileName(singleFilePath);
                    var result = Save(media, singleFilePath);
                    return inputAsset;
                else
                    inputAsset = _context.Assets.Create(User.Identity.Name, AssetCreationOptions.None);
                     policy = _context.AccessPolicies.Create(
                                        inputAsset.Name,
                                        TimeSpan.FromDays(30),
                                        AccessPermissions.Write | AccessPermissions.List
    | AccessPermissions.Read | AccessPermissions.Delete);
                     var assetFile = inputAsset.AssetFiles.Create(Path.GetFileName(singleFilePath));
                     var locator = _context.Locators.CreateLocator(LocatorType.Sas, inputAsset, policy);
                     assetFile.Upload(singleFilePath);
                     locator.Delete();
                     policy.Delete();
                     MediaElement media = new MediaElement();
                     media.AssetId = inputAsset.Id;
                     media.Title = Path.GetFileName(singleFilePath);
                     var result = Save(media, singleFilePath);
                     return inputAsset;

  • Server does not recognise user and password

    unable to email photos. server does not recognise user and password

    This is a quite interesting issue. Perhaps it may help if we start by trying to understand what caused the issue and then we will consider how you might recover from it.
    One of the things that Cisco wanted to do as they released version 15.0 was to improve the security of passwords in IOS. So they designed and implemented a new "type 4" password which they intended to replace the previous "type 5" password used for enable secret or for username secret passwords. So in those versions of 15.0 if you configure enable secret or username secret for passwords the IOS would create the new type 4 password.
    Then you reacted to some problem and loaded an older version of IOS. 12.2(55) does not understand the type 4 passwords. So as your switch booted on this version of code and it read lines in the startup config that had type 4 passwords it did not understand them and marked them as invalid input. So the result is that your switch does not have an enable secret and perhaps usernames do not have passwords.
    I do not know if you will be able to recover without doing password recovery but I have a suggestion which you can try. See if you can login on the console. It may depend on how your switch was configured whether it will let you do that and whether it will let you get to enable mode on the console. The default behavior was to allow the console to get to enable mode without a password. If your configuration includes aaa authentication enable default enable then the console may not work and in that case I believe that your only alternative will be password recovery.

    Well the error message is in Swedish but says: The installation program database is damaged. Please contact the Adobe support (which is a hard thing to do!!). I use Windows 7 Home Premium with service pack 1.

  • OLE DB or ODBC error: [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied

    Hi,
    I have one client and one server.  In both hosts I created an OS-user named User1.
    The user have been given various role under the prefix SQLServer2005.
    The default instance of SQL Server and instance (background-process) of
    Analysis Service are also run under User1.
    I connected via Management Studio to Analysis Service directly in the
    server.  I set the permission to access Analysis Service to Everyone.
    This means everyone should be able to use Analysis Service.  I have set
    ODBC data source to the server.  Testing was successful.
    I created a project to create a cube.  The tables are fairly small (total 300 MB, biggest one 290).
    On project setting (created at client) I set the server host as
    deployment target. I managed to deploy project when all I have are Data
    Source and Data Source Views.
    But on deployment I always failed.   The errors remain the same, begins with
    OLE DB error: OLE DB or ODBC error: [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.; 08001.
    I have tried 4 combinations of Impersonation :
    (A) Use a specific username and password
      * in which I supply User1 and the password of User1
    (B) Use the service account
    (C) Use the credentials of the current user
    (D) Default
    Why is this? The server does certainly exist.  I think the error message is wrong.
    I have seen 3 posting that seems related.  One of them say the solution is giving the right impersonation, but gave no detail.  About the privilege, User1 are granted the role of
    SQLServer2005MSOLAP.  What is the solution?
    Thank you,
    Bernaridho

    I just had this problem and solved it by creating an alias in SQL Server Configuration Manager, as below:
    Scenario: My SQL server is accessible from the internet under my.domain.com, and from itself at ServerName. But the local network can't see itself through the router at my.domain.com, so the deployed project is unable to process the cube, since that would
    require Analysis Services to be able to see the SQL Server at my.domain.com, which it can't do.
    So I changed the server in my project from my.domain.com to ServerName, and I created a local alias to ServerName in SQL Server Configuration Manager, under SQL Native Client 11.0 Configuration, Aliases. In my case, I pointed it to localhost port 1333, and
    used SSH -L 1333:my.domain.com:1433, but I could have pointed the alias directly to the server, just as well. (Verifying... yes, that worked too, so you can forget SSH if you have no interest in it.)

  • Enqueue replication server does not terminate after failover

    Hi,
    We are trying to setup high availability of enqueue server where in we have running enqueue server on node-A and ERS on node-B all the time.
    Whenever enqueue is stopped on node-A, it automatically failovers on node-B but after replication of lock table, enqueue does not terminate the ERS running on node-B and as a result our enqueue and ERS both keeps running on the same host (Failover node-B) which should not be the case.
    We havenu2019t configured polling in that scenario SAP note-1018968 depicts the same however this is applicable only for version-640 and 700.
    Ideally when enqueue server switches to node-B, it should terminate the ERS on the same node after replication and then HA software would take care of its restart on node -A.
    We have ERS running of version 701; could anyone please let me know if the same behaviour is common for 701 version as well?
    Or there is any additional configuration to be done to make it working.
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers !!!
    Ashish

    Hi Naveed,
    Stopping ERS is suppose to be taken care by SAP only and not the HA software.
    Once ERS stops on node -B there would be a fault reported and as a result HA software will restart the ERS on node A.
    Please refer to a section of SAP Note 1018968 - 'Enqueue replication server does not terminate after failover'
    "Therefore, the cluster software must only organise the restart of the replication server and does not need to do anything for the shutdown."
    Another blog about the same:
    http://www.symantec.com/connect/blogs/veritas-cluster-server-sap
    - After the successful lock table takeover, the Enqueue Replication Server will fault on this node (initiated by SAP). Veritas Cluster Server recognizes this failure and initiates a failover to a remaining node to create SAP Enqueue redundancy again. The Enqueue Replication Server will receive the complete Enqueue table from the Enqueue Server (SCS) and later Enqueue lock updates in a synchronous fashion.
    So it is nothing about HA software, it is the SAP which should control ERS on node-B.
    Cheers !!!
    Ashish
