Service cannot resolve identity in realm
Hello
I have configured oid as security provider of hw_services in SOA Suite 10.1.3 (with oid 10.1.4) , I have done folowing steps :
1- I have changed is-config.xml file such as the following
<configuration realmName="myrealm" default="true">
<provider providerType="LDAP" name="OID" service="Identity">
<connection url="ldap://myoidserver:389" binddn="cn=orcladmin" password="!mypassword" encrypted="true">
<pool initsize="2" maxsize="25" prefsize="10" timeout="60"/>
</connection>
</provider>
</configuration>
2-I have changed Security provider of hw_services to my oid server.
my problem is that when I want to test identity web service methods everybody raises error depending identity service configuration for example when I test authenticateUser method it raise error : "Internal Server Error (Caught exception while handling request: BPEL-10519 Identity service system error. Error while invoking Identity service. Service cannot resolve identity in realm "{0}" Check the error stack and fix the cause of the error. Contact oracle support if error is not fixable. )"
Please Help fixing this problem
In the link I provided
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28982/service_config.htm#BABFIJFB
is also a sample config file for OID
<?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
<ISConfiguration
xmlns="http://www.oracle.com/pcbpel/identityservice/isconfig">
<configurations>
<configuration realmName="us" displayName="us Realm">
<provider providerType="JAZN" name="OID">
<connection url="ldap://my.oid.com:389"
binddn="cn=orcladmin" password="passwd" encrypted="false"/>
</provider>
</configuration>
</configurations>
</ISConfiguration>
Note the provider type --> provider providerType="JAZN"
You use LDAP -> this is for third-party ldap servers
For start I would suggest to try to adapt this sample to your OID , and see how it works .

Service cannot resolve identity in realm "{0}"
Dear team,
I am working on Oracle SOA suite 10.1.3.5. We are working on huma task workflows. We developed the process and deployed the same in local server running on my machine with realm jazn.com.
the code was working perfectly fine.
We made the necessary modifications required for staging server (modifying from jazn.com to STAGE)
If i deployed the same code in staging server with realm STAGE . ADAM as Active directory . Now we are getting the below error.
BPEL-10519
Identity service system error.
Error while invoking Identity service. Service cannot resolve identity in realm "{0}"
Check the error stack and fix the cause of the error. Contact oracle support if error is not fixable.
*; nested exception is: BPEL-10519*
Any one pls suggest.
Regards,
RadhaHi Radha
I believe that the security provider in em console in reverted back to file based security provider instead of LDAP.
Cross check that .

in step 12 it showing the following error
Cannot Modify Identity Management Realm : [LDAP: error code 20 - Attribute
Anyone please help me
Thanks & Regards,
ManojI was doing a terrible mistake.. Instead of using createSubcontext, i was using modifyAttributes to create an user. The Problem is resolved now. Here is the latest code
try {
Hashtable env = new Hashtable();
env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtxFactory");
env.put(Context.SECURITY_AUTHENTICATION, "simple");
env.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, "cn=" + "Directory Manager");
env.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, "password");
env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "ldap://localhost:389/dc=mytest,dc=com");
DirContext ctx = new InitialDirContext(env);
// Create attributes to be associated with the new context
Attributes attrs = new BasicAttributes(true); // case-ignore
Attribute sn = new BasicAttribute("sn");
sn.add("NewUser");
Attribute cn = new BasicAttribute("cn");

Attribute objclass = new BasicAttribute("objectclass");
objclass.add("top");
objclass.add("inetOrgPerson");
attrs.put(objclass);
attrs.put(sn);

Yatanhi Anirudh,
do you think this is wrong approach to copy file from home to other instances? actually I followed the following link to configure OID with BPEL
url--> "http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28982/service_config.htm#BABIBGFF"
as per the document after executing the configure_oid.bat file only the jazn.xml inside the home was getting updated but no change was there in jazn.xml which was inside oc4j_soa folder, this was infact told in the document that we need to manually copy the properties from home--> jazn.xml file, but when I was trying to copy it was giving error, so insted of copying any thing from home--> jaxn.xml file, I copied the file and replaced it inside oc4j_soa.
do you think this is not the right approach?
waiting for inputs.
thanks

Yours,
John.I had the same issue and managed to fix it.
I am using tomcat and had a filter configured for AxisServlet to open a hibernate Session. Somehow (I did not figure it out yet) this filter afects the way the AxisServlet resolves the EPR.
My fix was - remove the filter. It worked. Now I am trying to figure out why.
If you have any clues, please drop a line. -

Solaris Deployment Failure for cannot resolve symbol on PersistentContainer
Hello, I'm having trouble diagnosing the following deployment failure.
What are some common causes of this? My server was created using an

afterwards via the console. I am deploying an application built with
Workshop (straight from workshop). I copied over an application from
Windows to Solaris, deleted the .workshop directory and .beabuild.txt
and rebuilt the application to deploy.
I get this error a few times.

It looks like this is a bug in the BEA-generated code that is then
compiled by WLS. The generated code was using the Class1$Class2 notation
to reference the class, but since $ is a valid character in the class
name, this does not behave as intended. This used to be a bug in
pre-1.4.2 but is now fixed in 1.4.2 (look at bug 4635044, and this is
also mentioned in the 1.4.2 release notes and the Java Developer forums).
The generated code should be:
com.bea.wlw.runtime.core.bean.BMPContainerBean.DuplicateKeyRemoteException
not
com.bea.wlw.runtime.core.bean.BMPContainerBean$DuplicateKeyRemoteException
Thanks again for the good response. I'll send this in to BEA support.

One other thing to add, this was fixed by changing the JAVA_HOME
variable inside of the startWeblogic.sh script. Setting it in workshop
did not change anything.

Wow, you hit it right on target! I was using 1.4.2 then tried it on

Is this a bug in BEA or in the JDK? In either case, where should I
report this bug?
Thanks again

What version of the JDK are you using? I believe they changed the
inner class naming conventions in 1.4.2, and it's breaking lots of

Problem : Cannot resolve the collation conflict between ...
Hi
I want select a column from another database base on my current field on current database.
here is my query :
select ms.ServiceID, ms.ServiceName, ms.CoefficientFixedService,
(select Services_Name from MpAdmisson..IAServices_Table where Services_DepartmentID=24 and Services_Name=ms.ServiceName) as N'MpServiceName'
from MedicalServices ms
join MedicalCategories mc on ms.MedicalCategorizationID=mc.MedicalCategorizationID
join Zones z on mc.ZoneID=z.ZoneID
where z.ZoneID=24
but I'm facing this error :
Cannot resolve the collation conflict between "Persian_100_CI_AI" and "Arabic_CI_AS" in the equal to operation.
Also i changed collation of "MpAdmisson" db to "Persian_100_CI_AI" and even restart msSqlServer service, but i'm facing the same error!
where is my problem and how to solve it ?
thanks in advance
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/codegen/DatabaseHelper.aspxalthough you changed the collation of the database it does not mean that all the objects changed their collation too automatically.
So far you are correct.
The change is only done when you change the data within the objects, thus recreating the table and moving data in / out or touching each and every value with doing something on the values themselves (the following will not work UPDATE (..) SET ServiceName
= ServiceName, the optimizer is smart enough too see that as a noop).
However, this is flat wrong. This is the story: each character column in a database has a collation tied to it. When you change the collation of a database, you change 1) the collation of the columns in the system tables. 2) The default collation. To change
the collation on the individual columns, you need to alter the column:
ALTER TABLE IAServices_Table
ALTER COLUMN Services_Name <current data type> COLLATE Persian_100_CI_AI [NOT] NULL
Unfortunately, this only works if the column is not indexed and has no constraints tied to it. Any indexes have to be dropped and recreated after the ALTER statement. If the column is a key column and there are referencing foreign keys, they also have to
be dropped and recreated. Thus, this is quite a far-reaching operation. And it may not stop there - with some amount of bad luck, constraints may fail with the new collation.
For this reason, this workaround suggested by Jens, may be your only option in the short term:
If you cannot do this currently, you can still do the following and collate on a per query basis:
select ms.ServiceID, ms.ServiceName, ms.CoefficientFixedService,
(select Services_Name from MpAdmisson..IAServices_Table where Services_DepartmentID=24 and Services_Name=ms.ServiceName COLLATE Persian_100_AS_CI) as N'MpServiceName'
from MedicalServices ms
And this part of Jens's post is correct. To note though is that use of the COLLATE clause voids any index on ServiceName. (Since this index is sorted according the rules of Arabic, and not the rules of Farsi.)

Kerberos problem (cannot resolve hostname)
We are now trying to setup Xserve G5 cluster computer system (1 head node and 6 cluster node) with OS X 10.4.3, and having trouble with Kerberos.
Head node has two network addresses: one is static IP address of our university (en0), and the other is 192.168.1.1.(en1) Cluster node has static IP addresses from 192.168.1.2 to 7. We put the name of the head node (computer1.company.private) and the cluster nodes (computer2 to 7.company.private) and their IP addressees in the file of both head node and cluster node (/etc/hosts).
192.168.1.1 computer1.company.private computer1
192.168.1.2 computer2.company.private computer2
We also set the HOSTNAME entry in /etc/hostconfig to (computer1.company.private).
Command 'Hostname' returns correct name computer1.company.private.
Then we tried to configure computer1.company.private as an Open Directory master. However, KDC did not start, and realms was the number related to the static address of our university (xxx.xx.xxx.vlan.xxx.net, not 'COMPUTER1.COMPANY.PRIVATE’)
Command 'slapconfig -kerberize diradmin both 'COMPUTER1.COMPANY.PRIVATE' and xxx.xx.xxx.vlan.xxx.net, both returns 'cannot resolve hostname'.
We would appreciate it very much if you could give us kind comments and suggestions.
XserveG5 Mac OS X (10.4.3)We also set the HOSTNAME entry in /etc/hostconfig to
(computer1.company.private).
Command 'Hostname' returns correct name
computer1.company.private.
Looks like they did that already, which makes me think the DNS is not setup properly. Remember that OS X uses a round robin approach to DNS servers listed. So if you have an internal only DNS, and you put in an external only DNS server in your list. You can and will sparadic DNS related kerberos failures. Especially if it is this way on your head machine.
Sometimes one failure will cause total failure. Also if you do not setup the host name and DNS before you try to kerborize, you can cause issues, so squence of events is very important.
