Set cookie file name

I work with WAS5.1 against IE6.
My cookie file create and store at the client's hard disk in
C:\Documents and Settings\<user_name>\Cookies.
Currently the name of my cookie file is <user_name>@<aplication_name>[<number>].txt
How to set constant name to cookie file?
Or how to set name independent from aplication_name?

May be using RSEF. If not changing the name, you can certainly control the cookies nicely. I have used it once in my previous projects it works Nice.

Sure, when you are adding your entry to the packing list, give the name in the obj_name field.

• Is there a way to automatically set the file name in Acrobat Properties when exporting a PDF from Indesign?

When I used Quark to make a PDF, the title area in the PDF was automatically populated with the file name, there in the properties tab. We like use this area to confirm file names of original files, so we can keep track of drafts, (in case the file name of the PDF is changed, which our boss often does). Is there any way to set up InDesign to do the same?

@stadlock – I think I know what you mean…
You exported to PDF and changed the file name in the export dialog to a different one from the document name presented there the first time you exported that document. And in exports after that the new name will be presented in the dialog instead of the name of the document.
What you can do against that?
1. First time you want to export: Save before the document is exported. And do not save after it's exported with a new file name.
2. After the new file name is already there in the export dialog:
Type in the document name in the dialog. Export. Or abort after chosing a export preference. Save. Check again, if the document's file name is in the export dialog. If yes, procede like in suggestion #1. If not do a full export with the document's file name, save and then procede with suggestion #1.

• DATAEXPORT - set Dynamic File name in Calc Script

Hi,
I have a calc script which exports data from BSO cube to a flat file. Currently I have hard coded file name within the calc script which is
DATAEXPORT "File" "," "D:/in/CAPXPT_FERC_*FY12*.txt";
and, for example, I want use the substition varaible to dynamically assign the file name let' say
DATAEXPORT "File" "," "/u11/oracle/OHDDEVD/in/CAPXPT_FERC *" + &fYear + "*.txt";
Is there any way to set the export file name dynamically?
Thanks for your help
Regards,

A kind of intriguing thought would be to use the sub var as a way to drive the file name, then grab Robb Salzmann's CDF to dynamically set sub vars on the fly, and then use a RTP to grab that string. I have no idea if this would all tie together, but it would be interesting to try.
Here's Robb's post: http://codingwithhyperion.blogspot.com/2011/08/create-and-update-substitution.html This is my second in a row post that refers to his CDF -- it is almost like that's my pseudonym except of course I'm too thick to write a CDF.

• Setting output file name in export transaction data package

Hi all,
I am running an "export transaction data" package in the data manager. I wanted to set the output file name so that it will be a constant value. I wrote the following in the package editor:
INFO(%FILE%,\ROOT\WEBFOLDERS\COLMOBIL\VEHICLES1\DATAMANGER\DATAFILES\vehicles_to_pca2.txt)
TASK(/CPMB/TD_FILE_TARGET,FULLFILENAME,%FILE%)
The system run the package and reported success but the file was not created. When i did the same with an existing file name, it was not updated.
When I run the same package with the following PROMPT command instead of the INFO command:
PROMPT(OUTFILE,,"Please enter an output file",Data files (*.txt)|*.txt|All files(*.*)|*.*)
The system works fine.
Any ideas?
TIA

I am sad to report that apparently Adobe does not do a very good job with the PDF printer. I have just spent over an hour with support to get the answer we can not help you. I guess I will have to spend $50 for NovaPDF to handle my problem. It's a shame when a superior overall product like Acrobat is not able to keep up with the knockoffs on the small things.

• Set application file name in source code

Hello,
in some projects i use the same software, only with different interfaces, or sometimes with customized panels. Within the sourcecode i just activate or deactivate the functions i need with defines, f.e: #define USE_TCP...and #ifdef USE_TCP...........#endif.
Is it possible to set the application name in source code (instead of BUILD -> TARGET SETTINGS) ?.
I'm lookink for something like
#idfef UART_TARGET........project_uart.exe
#elif defined TCP_TARGET........project_tcp.exe
#else ............... project_standard.exe
#endif
in other compilers (for microcontrollers) i can do something like this with #EXPORT (HEX, FILE=HEX_FILENAME)
Any ideas?
Thanks and greetings from Bremerhaven, Germany

Ohh....
Well there is the :
CVI_AppBuildProject (CAObjHandle objectHandle, ERRORINFO
*errorInfo, long *returnValue);
But it's only for build with no names support , that's what I know but maybe there is something else which I don't know of.....
One more thing - At the menu Build > Builed Steps
there you can define your options at 3 stages :
Custom Build Actions—Actions that occur immediately before
LabWindows/CVI starts dependency checking after you initiate a build.
Pre-build Actions—Actions that occur after LabWindows/CVI
checks for dependencies and before it builds the target. Pre-build actions occur
only when the target needs to be built.
Post-build Actions—Actions that occur after the target is
built. Post-build actions occur only when a build is successful.
Try over there maybe it will help you....

• How can I set the file name and folder for output to PDF from another application?

I am developing an application in Microsoft Access where the printed reports are to be saved in PDF format for archive purposes. I can send the output to Adobe X, but the default file name is the Access report name and the folder selected is the one last used.
What I need to do is to create the file with a specific name (which changes for each run) and to a specific folder (which also changes for each run).
The language I'm using is Visual Basic for Applications which is located in an Access form that controls the report production.
Any suggestions, please?

Got it - many thanks.

• Javascript code for setting output file name of emailed form in Livecycle

I was given a task of creating a new form with livecycle. I have no knowledge of javascripting so I am struggling with one of the things I am trying to get this form to do. The overview of this form is people around my company fill out this form then hit a button to email the completed form to me. I was able to accomplish part of this task by using the following code within an up mouse event script on a button.
oDoc = event.target;
oDoc.mailDoc({
cTo: ********@******.com,
cSubject: "IB Update Request - Instance" + IBInstance.rawValue,
This takes the form and emails it to me with the data from the field called "IBinstance" in the subject line which is what I want but the file name attached to the email is garbage. presently is says "newupdateform.pdf - Adobe Acrobat Pro.pdf"
What I would like is some javascript code that I can take the data from the field called "IBinstance" and use it as the name of the file being sent in. Is there a simple code that i can put in this event to allow me to do this?
Thank you

Hi Joerg,

• Set Attached File name to Table Cell

Hello All,
I have a scenario where:
1. I have a dynamic table.
2.Every Row has a Button for attaching the new File.
3. When we add new Row to the Table, I want to get the attached file name in the corresponding cell. i.e Cell2 in following example.
I have tried doing it this way
The script which I'm using on Add button is
app.execMenuItem("AddFileAttachment");
var o = event.target.dataObjects;
var n = "";
DataNode.Table1.Row1.Cell2.rawValue = "";
if (o !== null) {
for (var i = 0; i < o.length; i += 1) {
n = o[this.parent.index].name;
var countVal = (DataNode.Table1.Row1.instanceManager.count-1);
xfa.resolveNode("DataNode.Table1.Row1["+countVal+"].Cell2").rawValue = n;
But I'm not able to display the attached file name in Cell2 of the Table.
How can we do it?
Thanks and Regards,

• Setting the file name of a resource to be downloaded

Hi,
I am trying to download files from the webserver to the client machine using code given below..
The filename is the path to the file to be downloaded to the client. Some parsing of the filename is required as I modify the filename to a particular format. I use the parsed filename to get the Mime type which is then set to the content type.
When I tested the code, the mime type is correct and also the file downloaded is corrext. But the browser prompts me to save the file with the name of the Url. Can I change this? I suppose setting of some http response header is needed.
public class ReadServlet extends GenericServlet {
public void service(ServletRequest req, ServletResponse res){
ServletContext context = this.getServletContext();
//check doc_id and doc_ver_index
String filename = (String)req.getAttribute("filename");
if(filename == null ){
return;
try{
File file = new File(filename);
int underscore = filename.lastIndexOf('_');
if(underscore!=-1){
filename = filename.substring(0, underscore);
String mimeType = context.getMimeType(filename);
if(mimeType == null){
mimeType = "application/octet-stream";
res.setContentType(mimeType);
InputStream in = null;
OutputStream out = res.getOutputStream();
byte[] buffer = new byte[1024*8];
try {
in = new BufferedInputStream(new FileInputStream(file) );
int ch;
while ((ch = in.read(buffer)) !=-1) {
out.write(buffer, 0, ch );
finally {

• Set unique file name for document library in SharePoint 2013

Hi,
I have document library in the sharepoint 2013 with two dropdown fields-dept name,dept id.
My requirement is to create a namiing convention for each file uploded in the document library.
So the naming convention should be "deptname-deptid-filename-Id".
I tried this naming convention using workflow as below-
In this case ,first I attach the file and then it asks for dept name & id,Whwn i input these value,it shows error message as this file is modified by you at this point of time.On cancel it saves the attached file but does not save the deptname and dept
id.
please help if any idea or suggestion.
Thank you.

The only way I've ever seen this work while adding a new file is to use an Event Reciever. Build an Event
Receiver that fires whenever a file is added and have the code change the name of the file from whatever the user titled it to the naming convention you are using.
