Set IE proxy per computer

Hello everybody,
I am looking for a script in batch or powershell to set the internet explorer proxy per computer, actually i know how to change the proxy in registry but it's apply only for user.
Someone know how to apply internet explorer's proxy to computer ? without using GPO.

Since you need to do this by using scripting instead of Group policy, we suggest you refer to TechNet scripting forum because you could get more useful advice about script modification.

The registry entry about proxy settings are located in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\
"ProxyEnable"=dword:00000000
1 for enable 0 for disable
“ProxyServer”=“192.168.1.1:80”
These values would be helpful when you modify a script, good luck.

This helped me. Fix #1 is something Apple doesn't ever suggest to you.
My specific problem was somehow my Apple Mobile Device USB Driver got turned off and moved and maybe even uninstalled, but after hours of struggling, this site helped tremendously.
Furthermore, I could connect my iPhone to my computer but not into iTunes. It would only let me go to access pictures on my iPhone and that's all.
Best of luck to anyone trying to figure out their problem.

The network I'm on requires that I set a Proxy server to get out to the internet.
Is there anyway to specify a Proxy server for AppleTV?

Hi Red-Baron,
The Apple TV does not support Proxy Server configuration (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305010). An alternative is to enable internet sharing on a computer and have the Apple TV connect to that computer.

How many itunes accounts are allowed per computer?

Hi, I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle configuring all 80 of the iPads my business is purchasing. I know there is a limit of 10 devices per iTunes account. How many iTunes accounts are permitted per computer? I tried to just create 8 apple ids, which I was able to do online. But when I try to sign in to those on iTunes, once I get to the part where I verify with a credit card, I can not get past the 3rd one. I have previously signed in with 2 other accounts on my machine, so I'm wondering if there is a limit of 5 accounts per computer. Can anyone verify? If that's true, what suggestions do you have for how to get around or best manage this situation?

The limit you are referring to is for a single personal Apple ID (not for multiple users) that is allowed to be associated with a total of 10 devices (up to 5 computers and the rest on iOS devices). Example you can have 5 computers and 5 iOS devices, 3 computers and 7 iOS devices, but not 6 computers and 4 iOS devices.

Well if you use the Finder Go menu to Computer, a window opens up double click on your boot drive and then on Users folder, open the other user folder and open Public and drop your files into DropBox
When you do this it will copy them and change the permissions and user assigned to it, so log into the other user and place them into your respective normal folders.
Once you have all your files over and don't need the old user, use System Preferences > Accounts to delete it if you wish, however it's good two Admin accounts on the machine in case something bad happens in the other. Some people for security reasons on use a Standard account for most uses and a emergency Admin account.
One can still do most Admin things in Standard user.

Put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option Key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Reset Password. After resetting the password use Startup Disk from the same menu to choose your hard drive for startup and restart.

You certainly could keep the old Mac Pro in Firewire mode (hold down the T key on its keyboard as you boot) to show its drives on the new MP. This is basically as fast as putting the drives into a Firewire enclosure.
Or you could boot it normally and share its files over the network using the Sharing panel of System Preferences. If you turn on both File and Screen Sharing, you don't even need to have a monitor attached - you can do all administration using screen sharing. However, this method requires that you open all files over the network, which will be slower than the direct-connect method above, and may also not work with all applications.

Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. I have an ipod touch that was set up on this computer. It is a mac. It hasn't had an update in a while and it needs an update to update apps and download new apps. It will not show up in itunes to get the update, nor will it let me update on the iPod. ???

There is no place that says there is a software update on the ipod. I was wondering how to get it updated or at least get it connected to itunes?
