Hi guys, I´m having some troubles with a 3rd party webservice, the webservice is suposed to return items for the same type, some like this :
this is awfaul, because i need to parse the string to XML and maybe the complete response can´t be set in a string variable because the length, i need it parsed in items like the first approach but without a mixed set to "true", I´m not a .NET expert but if someone can help me about this, how to handle mixed content in SAP or even better how to return items in .NET without using mixed content, with that i will explaint how they can achieve this.

The issue is that the code in VB is creating the XML manually returning a XmlDocument.

Firefox 23 and mixed content

The Firefox 23 release notes claim that mixed content pages are now blocked. The Mozilla Messaging Forum for Thunderbird support has mixed content, but it is not blocked. Why say that sites with mixed content are blocked if they are not? The URL:

Firefox has two prefs to control mixed content.

Can i turn off mixed content via gpo ?

i created a gpo to launch firefox and set the home page.
now i would like to turn mixed content to false within the same or a second gpo. is this possible?

Hi max, if the files are working, the preference(s) you set in the .cfg file are locked against changes inside Firefox.
To check:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''mix''' and pause while the list is filtered (assuming the relevant preference(s) have ''mix'' in the name)
The preference(s) you locked should have a special status (i.e., not default and not user set) and if you try to edit them, Firefox should not save the change.

When webpages contain mixed content, does (or can) Firefox block content from unsecure sources?

When secure webpages (those using SSL) contain content from non-SSL sources, Internet Explorer 8 and 9 ask if you want to view only the content that was delivered securely. I haven't been able to find a similar prompt in Firefox. I know of three possible explanations:
1. Firefox does not offer protection against mixed content. I hope this isn't the case!
2. Firefox has a setting I haven't found.
3. Firefox may offer the protection but in a different manner than Internet Explorer.

Firefox doesn't and can't block content coming via an insecure connection in that case, but you can get a warning.
The settings for the warning messages have been removed from the user interface (Bug 513166). 
You need to change the related security.warn_* prefs directly on the about:config page.

Drag mix content to InDesign CS6

Hi,
I know we can drag drop file and bitmap content from CS Extension to InDesign which is given here. But I have a different scenerio where I've some mix content shown in Tile list i.e. one image and 3 lables which I need to drag from Panel and drop in InDesign file. There was some dicussion around it in http://forums.adobe.com/message/4154591

Hi Marc,
I think setData is expecting to be passed an array of File objects (see: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/flash/desktop/Clipboard .html). From the stacktrace it sounds like you're trying to pass in a vector of objects. To debug this I would change the code to simply pass in a new array containing one file irregardless of what is selected in the list, make sure that works, and then try using the selected items. If you do have a vector rather than an array then you can convert it by creating a new array and iterating over the vector elements, adding each to the array.

Mixed content - https vs http

In the browser Chrome, after going to a website starting with https://, it gave me the below message:
Mixed Content: The page at 'https://...' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure resource 'http://...'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.
Which is good but in Firefox, it doesn't recognize this issue which should.
Can you please update Firefox browser to recognize the issue and give us a proper message like Chrome does?

I think all browsers allow you to leave a secure page for an insecure page (from HTTPS link to HTTP link) without a warning, otherwise you would go crazy using Google and other search engines that use HTTPS. There is an exception for when a form is being submitted from a secure page to an insecure page: then you definitely should get a warning that your submission isn't being encrypted.
What Firefox and other browsers now pay closer attention to is content pulled ''into'' the page, treating some as high risk (such as scripts) and some as low risk (such as JPEG images). You can adjust Firefox's settings to block this lower risk "display" content if you like. (It requires switching the security.mixed_content.block_display_content preference from false to true in the about:config preferences editor.)

Multipart/mixed content: html, pdf

Hi.
I have a problem sending multipart content back to a browser through the response object.
What I want is to send a "Please be patient" html page while a pdf is created and send it as a second part as soon as it is created and can't get it to work.
The problem is, the pdf just does not show up. The html sent first is removed from display, the plugin starts but then nothing happens and I end up with a blank browser window.

Well, I've already solved one of the two issues
In order to display the icons on my buttonbar buttons, I just needed to point at {hostComponent.data.data} instead of {hostComponent.data}. I'm not sure why, but {hostComponent.data} in my skin class is a handle on my instance of ButtonBarButton, not its "data" property. Any explanation is welcomed
I still have got the first issue though. Oddly enough my design works if I put an mx Image instead of the spark BitmapImage for the client logo. That will do the trick for the moment but I'd prefer to deliver a 100% pure spark component in my prototype, and I can see no reason why BitmapImage works inside my ButtonBarButtons and doesn't otherwise...

Can't view a website, issue related to mixed content blocking

Hello,
I am having trouble viewing the website below in Firefox. This is Basic Talk, which is basically internet phone service, similar to Vonage. But it's cheaper and sold at Walmart. Was wondering why I could pull up their website just fine on my cell phone, but couldn't get it up on Firefox (or IE for that manner). In order to set up my account with them, I had to do it completely online via my cell phone. But after doing some research I came across some info in the Firefox Bugzilla support forums. And it appears this issue is related to the "Mixed Content Blocking" issues. I've tried viewing the site via "http" and "https" and neither way works in Firefox. But again, via my cellphone, just fine. If you all could please look into this and provide me further details with how I can view and access this site. I would greatly appreciate it.

Firefox 3 versions do not have mixed content blocking features, so if this happens with the 3.6.27 version that shows in the System Details List and also in other browsers like IE then something else is wrong.

How can I turn off Mixed Content Blocking via script for an enterprise?

Users in our enterprise (2,000+ clients) have to manually allow an MCB exception when using an in-house application every time we use it. I have exported the registry, made the change to mixed content blocking active content in about:config, and then re-exported the registry and have been unable to find any changes in the registry. Therefore, I am out of ideas as to how to deploy a package from Configuration Manager (Microsoft's enterprise client management) to disable this feature so people can work unhindered by Firefox.
Currently we are getting around this by telling our users to NOT use Firefox. This will be a make or break for this browser in our environment.

Preferences are stored in the ''prefs.js'' file under the user's profile folder. Barring any third-party tools, the registry doesn't have anything to do with it.

Mixed content on DVD, accessible from menus?

Hi there,
Is it possible to create a DVD with mixed content (video, audio, photos) which can be read by a DVD player, not just a computer? I'm not talking about putting on the ROM part of the disk, but accessible from the menus. I am trying to make a DVD which, in addition to video, has my own music (audio only) tracks, but DVD Studio Pro 4 seems to assume that audio will be attached to video, or else will be the background music to a menu. As well as video and slideshow titles, I want to put a list of music only and narrative only titles on the DVD, which the user could choose in the same way as choosing a video or slideshow. It must be playable on a DVD player, not just the computer. Any ideas?

DSP wants to see some sort of video in a track. You could just add black for the length of the audio but if you are tight on space this may not be the best option.
One option:
Create a black still at 720x480 and put that as the first slide in a slide show.
Add your audio and now the slide show and/or that particular slide will be the length of the audio you added. Make sure all of your elements and project are in the same folder. DSP will create MPG media for the slide shows and that will be referenced on the build.
I would also convert all of your audio to AC3 files with the setting in Compressor that can be found in any of the DVD preset folders.

According to your post, my understanding is that you got an error while creating custom document set content type.
The issue is that you set the Inherits=”FALSE” in the element. If you set the Inherits=”TRUE”, the content type would work.
Based on the article form MSDN:
If Inherits is TRUE, the child content type inherits all fields that are in the parent, including fields that users have added.
If Inherits is FALSE or absent and the parent content type is a built-in type, the child content type inherits only the fields that were in the parent content type when SharePoint Foundation was installed.
The child content type does not have any fields that users have added to the parent content type.
If Inherits is FALSE or absent and the parent content type was provisioned by a sandboxed solution, the child does not inherit any fields from the parent.
It means if you set the Inherits to true, we would lose all our customization there.
If we set Inherits="FALSE", which means you then have to remember to explicitly add into the definition all the stuff you should be inheriting, like the default Doc Set event receivers.

SSL, IE6, & "Mixed Content"

I have a servlet that returns a PDF over SSL, like this (I'm using JSF):

}This works great on every browser I've tested...except for Internet Explorer. On IE, the user gets a prompt warning that the page contains both secure and non-secure content. As far as I know, that's simply not the case. If the user says not to display the non-secure content, the PDF comes up fine. If the user says go ahead and display everything, the PDF comes up fine. (In Acrobat Reader)
If I go into IE's Tools|Options|Customize, and change "Display mixed content" from "Prompt" to "Enable" everything works fine, and there is no prompt. Curiously, if I change the setting from "Prompt" to "Disable" everything still works fine.
This is annoying. I don't want my users to have to change the default IE settings. Can anyone point me towards a solution?

The best way to work with FCP's media files is to not overthink it. It's all done from the "Scratch Disk" settings. Just select a DRIVE for media captures and renders to go to. FCP handles the rest. It creates a folder called "Capture Scratch", another called "Renders" and a third called "Audio Renders". In each of these folders it creates a folder for each project file containing the media that is associated with that particular project, and it names these folders the same as your project files' names. Couldn't be easier.
Autosave Vaults, Waveforms, and Thumbnails should be kept on your startup disk in your documents folder. You probably already have one there named "Final Cut Pro Documents" If it's there just select the Documents folder and FCP will put these three folders in the one named "Final Cut Pro Documents".

You could use PopupFetchListener - to set the visibility of the button to false.
