Just installed Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium. Downloaded fine but hangs up at 14-19 min. Have Window XP O.S. Also photo shop 10 is installed already. Any ideas

MacBook pro set up has stalled

I Have just received my new MacBook pro 15" 2.8ghz and in the process of setting it up. I have not opted to transfer any data from old iMac and setting up as a fresh laptop. All is going well until I got to the FileVault Disk and encryption section. I ticked both turn on FileVault and allow iCloud to unlock my disk then hit continue.
The MacBook has it's rainbow wheel turning as if it is doing something but this has been going around for 50 minutes now, is this normal, as I don't remember my other apple devises taking this long to setup.

One of those. You don't have to register - it even says it on the page. No need to disconnect from the net. All that will happen is that you'll miss the opportunity for Apple to offer you a discount on a .mac membership.

Outlook for mac 2011 setting up identity stalls every time

I have read numerous blogs about this issue and have tried rebuilding the identity, etc. to no avail. At reboot, or login, it takes 15-20 MINUTES for outlook to come up. It says that "setting up identity" in the yellow box and literally takes that long to start. There has to be some fix for this. I have scrubbed the internet looking for an answer and tried everything. I upgraded memory today and that still does not work. When going to contacts, I get the beach ball for about a minute. Please help me.

Creating Rescue and Recovery Disks for Vista

Started to create a set of Rescue Recovery Disks, the Start Recovery Disk created OK, but when I inserted the 1st Disk of the recovery set, the program stalled for over 1 hour no activity, cancelled the operation using the Vista Task Manager Ctrl-Alt-Del.
Now when I try and rerun Rescue and Recovery, it states I have already run the procedure, which is not so. How can i now run the Rescue & Recovery Media Program

besides, since trade promotion also has its own trade promotion planning, so how does trade promotion planning differ from marketing plan? if they two co-existed, what's the relation between them?

Diff betn Campaign and TPM
Campaigns are the ways and mediums which helps in communication, increasing awareness, increase sales and wide range of activities. It can be done through mailing list, product promotions, telecalling etc. So in nutshell as an organisation, you are trying to reach your customers for increasing customer base or sales or product awareness.
Examples of campaign:
1)You give $2 off on the purchase of every pack of Beer bottle.
2) Set up a stall in the Expo and register the queries to generate the leads.
3) Telecalling to all the individuals in the city with more than USD 100,000 p.a. income and then create leads.
However Trade Promotion Management is an activity which is done with the help of your channel partners. The check here is "trade", which means distributors, retailers, wholesellers, re-sellers etc. The purpose remain the same like to increase customer base or sale revenues but here the incentives are given to your channel partner.
Ex. Organisation sells products through Distributors in the market. If Organisation devise a scheme whereby distributor will get US $ 1000 extra he sells more than 100 cartons/month then it is a TPM.
Campaign : You can create Campaign without BP master data, you can run Campaign for External email id to generate lead and opportunity. but
Trade Promotion : You need to have BP master data. Mostly TP functionalities is used in Consumer Durables, FMCG where distributors or retailers as their BP.
Campaign : can be automated
TP : not possible
Campaign : You can use Bounce Management to track and analyse your campaign
TP : It will be based on the Cutomer Approval status. Normally will be done by key account manager.

Nokia Improvements

Let me set out my stall. Ex iphone user. Recent convert to Nokia lumia 820 and the windows 8 experience. I must say that I think the 820 is a great phone. Live tiles and the simple left sweep for the settings menu are great. Without getting into a slagging match I would wecome suggestions to improve or tweak the nokia user experience. Mine are
1. The calendar could have a weekly view.
2. The windows pdf reader could be improved.
A simple mind that is my wish list. Add to it if you will.

WPA vs WEP

I have two AEBS interconnected by ethernet. One is the router, the other is an access point at the other end of the house. Both had been set to WPA.
We have been having problems with web pages stalling during loading, a reload would often bring them up instantly. The I reset one of them to WEP so my son could do net games with his DS. After a while, we dermined that when we connect to the one set to WEP (they have different SSIDs so that we can tell them apart) didn't have this problem and the one set to WPA did. I reset both to WEP and now the "problem" is gone.
Anybody else notice such a difference?

The base stations have different names as well as different SSID's. They used to work perfectly together until I increased the security level to WPA.
One is on channel 11, the other on channel 1. The cable modem is connected to one of them (the WEP station) and it provides NAT services. The other is on the other end of the internal wired LAN and provides wireless access and has a connected printer.
We see two different names in the airport list so we can pick the one that we want to use. Roaming is not an issue as both stations cover the whole house to some extent. If we switch from one to the other, some network services, such as iChat, disconnect and reconnect. Apple file services still work if the server or client switches during a connection.
File services go 2x faster when the two computers involved use different APs because the AP doesn't have to share the RF bandwidth with two computers. When one is acting up (as they were when new because I had a series of defective hardware) it was much easier to tell which one was acting up when the SSIDs were different. I just left it that way after the hardware stabilized.
This issue isn't an "every time" type of thing. We notice it in aggragrate over time. Usually, when one site is not loading properly, ALL sites don't load properly. When one is working well, all work well. Download rates, once connected to a good site, are identical for both at 624kbytes/sec (limited by the cable modem). Both stations are AEBS, one has a modem, one does not.
When the WPA BS is stalling, the WEP BS is working fine. I've tried switching the WPA and WEP settings. The problem follows the settings.
When a site, or set of sites, "stalls", the network data rate as indicated by the Activity Monitor, drops to zero. Other computers using the WEP BS at the same time continue to work.
I am guessing that something is happening to the rotating keys and the router is loosing the connection between a service request and the computer that requested the service. It takes a kick in the backside, by reloading a page, to establish a good connection. The stalled connections do not seem to fix themselves ever.

Very Slow W2K boot with Promise 378

I just upgraded my system and installed a new WD74G Raptor, initially on the VIA SATA. This worked great, the boot time was really fast, around a minute, and the drive performed great.
I then wanted to add two 250G Maxtor drives to my system, and after spending some time trying to find out how to configure the promise RAID I gave up and decided to move the Raptor to the Promise SATA, and use the VIA RAID. (any info on setting up the Promise RAID would be great!). Once I moved the Raptor to the Promise RAID the windows boot time went up 5x. It stalls all the way through, not just at "detecting network setting", it even stalls after "loading personal settings". I hear the dive tick every 20 seconds, then finally after a few minutes it cranks and everything loads. After this the drive seems to work fine.
Any thoughts on why the change to the Promise SATA from the VIA SATA would cause this? I've got all the latest drivers, W2K-SP4, Athlon643000+, BIOS v1.2.
Any help would be great.

Well, in my experiance the windows flash is linked to problems.
Making a flash and rescue disk is far safer
Just remember to disable the boot sector protection in bios.

He said that maybe it is Flash Player that runs in the background and avoid the computer to shutdown. I uninstalled Flash Player and the problem was fixed. Now I can’t watch any YouTube videos. Is there something else I can do to use Flash Player again to avoid the shutdown problem?

Be advised though that Flash is used for other web stuff too.

Unique prob - often when I R-click a link in a page, FF goes "Not Resp" for up to 2 min - S/times crashes, or Re Starts with stalled tab set last on task bar.

Unique prob - often when I Right-click a link in a page, FF goes "Not Resp" for up to 2 mins, then most often Re Starts with the stalled tab set (of the window that I clicked in) moving to last place on the browser task bar. Roughly 1 in 5 times when it happens, FF crashes. Done copious searching here & elsewhere & it would appear this is unique, as I can't see this exact problem mentioned. I have the latest FF version & assume all add ons update at that time or auto do so, (all set to default). Have also updated to latest "flash / shock wave".

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

My printer was not scanning. I unistalled software and registration keys, then downloaded the new software, but set up stalls at checking network enviroment, and it says HP Officejet NOT RESPONDING. After that I run HP Print and Scan Doctor, which said the full software solution was not installed, so I proceeded to install, but then I got "Download Failed" message. I tried several times but failed. When I go to Devices and Printers, the HP OfficeJet Pro 8 Icon shows a Yellow flag, then I go to troubleshoot option but they don't find a solution for my printer. I am wondering if anyone knows a solution for my printer problems??? The printer is less than 3 years old. Thank you

Stalled Set-up of iCloud - iPhone Data in iCloud Only, Not On PC - How To Fix?

I downloaded iCloud on my HP Pavilion dv9700 laptop running Windows Vista. The iCloud Control panel on my laptop is fine. I synced it with my iPhone 4 using my Apple ID and Password after creating my iCloud email address. At the iCloud Control Panel I clicked and put checks next to Bookmarks and Photostream and clicked on APPLY. The apply button faded out at this point in the process. After I long time the blue bar moved and said that I had 2.8GB storage left of 5.0GB. And the APPLY button was dark again I clicked on the MANAGE button and looked at the list of things (2+GB data) I have in iCloud.
I went back to the iCloud Control Panel and accidentally hit APPLY instead of CLOSE. My hard disk has been flashing forever 1 1/2 hours this time, way longer than the first time I hit APPLY. I think I'm stuck in some circular process. When I go to iCloud.com and enter my Apple ID and my Apple Password I see my name and one piece of email welcoming me to my new iCloud email. There is no data anywhere. No Data in my Calendar. No data in my Contacts.No data in my Reminder. No data in my Notes...and I have a lot of Notes, a lot of Contacts, a lot of appointments in my Calendar.
How do I get iCloud to stop whatever it has now been doing for nearly two hours and give me access to my data on my computer?

You can create up to 3 alias addresses but you have to do this on icloud.com from your computer browser. This article explains how: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2622. Also, incoming email to an alias address will go to your current iCloud inbox so it really isn't a separate account; just a different email address for the same account.
Each iCloud account only has a single iCloud email account. If you really want to set up another, you would need to add a secondary iCloud account by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud, then entering a different Apple ID to create the account. You can then turn on Mail to create the new account. Mail in secondary accounts, however, is fetch email, not push (which is only supported in the primary account).

When installing iOS 5, stalled at "find my iPhone" set up. Won't accept "next" for either option

Almost complete with the iOS5 update but got hung up on this step. Whether I select "Use Find My iPhone" or "Don't Use Find My iPhone", I can't proceed. The "next" button is blue and changes color when I touch it but no action ensues.

Thanks...I've seen this very response from you to other people on various threads and despite repeated attempts at following the instructions exactly as provided, this does not in fact work in my case. I have followed the instructions to a T. Read and re-read and re-read to make sure.

New iPod Touch 32gb stalls after starting sync, error 54, manual synce gets dumped

I just got this thing at Walmart last Sunday and its been driving me nuts all week! It's the brand new iPod Touch 32gb 4gen. When trying to sync it will start to load music then stall. Sometimes it gives error code 54, sometimes says it cant convert song, cant find song, or just stalls. If I wait anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour it will finally un-freeze and dump everything or say the connection has timed out. I've ran repair on iTunes from control panel, no help. Un-installed iTunes and re-installed it then tried synce, no help. I un-selected everything in the iPod summary so that it wont try to synce when I connect it and selected manual synce. Then I could sync a few songs at a time, but it still stalls after only loading a few songs on iPod. Tried dumping everything out of the ipod and start over, several times, no help. I've been 6 days, all day, every day, and half the nights getting a few songs at a time on this dam thing. I found when it stalls if I turn the iPod off to force it out of iTunes I can then restart iTunes, reconnect the iPod, manually select 15 to 20 songs and drag them to the iPod. A few times I got over a hundred to sync but usually 20 to 30 songs then it stalls. Then I have to do the whole thing over again. I had a little over 1200 songs out of the 1877 songs, 11.28gb, in my music library when the last time it stalled, it dumped everything. 4 or 5 days of manually syncing a few songs at a time, GONE. Just poof, all that work for nothing. The only thing left on it is 92 of the hundred something songs I've bought from iTunes. I'm ready to take a hammer to the dam thing and send it back to Walmart where I got it.
I'm using a Dell Studio 17 inch laptop that's about 4 yrs old running Windows 7 that I installed 2 years ago. I had a iPod nano 2gb that worked fine with this computer & iTunes untill it died last spring.
Why do you have it set up so that one little hickup and the dam thing dumps everything thats on it? I cant even stop it from starting to sync when I connect it because I need to see the settings in the summary for the iPod to change the settings, but I cant see that until I connect it, but as soon as I connect it, it try's to start the sync and stalls feezing everything.
Can anybody help me before this thing drives me completely over the edge!?

I have a older Dell Optiplex desktop computer running Windows XP. I copied the iTunes folder on my laptop to an external drive and plugged that into my desktop computer. Then connected the iPod Touch to the desktop. For some reason or other the computer thought the iPod was a camera and wanted to know which photo program to open with or for it. I never did get iTunes on my desktop computer to "see" the iPod and had to give up that idea.
When going into the My Computer or Windows Explorer - which is the one I like to use for working with my files- when I connect the iPod to my computer in Windows Explorer it will show the iPod. Open that and it shows Internal Storage, open that and a folder with DCIM shows below it, open that and a folder with 860OKMZO on it shows below that, open that and it has the 40 or 50 photos I saved from Facebook. That's it, there isn't anything else shown in its storage. The iTunes on my old Desktop doesn't see the iPod Touch either.
Even if the iTunes on my old desktop would work with this iPod Touch it wouldn't do me any good. I read in a post that once it is connected to a iTunes Library, if its connected to any other iTunes Library on a different computer it will dump everything that's on it. Which is totally stupid but I think they - iTunes - have it that way so that you cant share your music with somebody elses computer. But that also makes it so I cant manually sync one thing at a time with my own iTunes Library. I tried syncing my music first and after I got some of it on the iPod, in its summary I deselected the music sync and selected the movies or video's so I could manually synce a few to it to see if it would work. Bad move. As soon as I did that it dumped everything that was on it, then said that it could not sync the movies because the files could not be written. HUH? Why a video from YouTube could not be written beats me. But why did it dump all the music?
The last thing I did with it was put all the options in the summary in iTunes back to default, removed everything on the iPod that was left after its last dump, then disconnected it, closed iTunes, and rebooted my laptop and started over from scratch. Started iTunes, connected the iPod, after iTunes found it I opened the iPod summary, made sure everything except sync photo's was selected, then started the sync function. It immediately listed all the songs and the songs info in light gray under music on the iPod. It only got 2 songs copied, then stalled. I just left it alone to see what it would do. I opened the Windows Task Manager to see what it was doing. Even though the iTunes program appered to be stalled it was using 50% of the CPU. After about 15 minutes it showed a popup window saying the song could not be writen then another saying its connection to the iPod had timed out, then iTunes stalled and "not responding" showed in task manager and at the top of the iTunes window. After 30 minutes I had to force it to close with the Task Manager. By then it was after midnight and had been another 12 hours wasted messing with this thing.
