  • Set background color or image in Outlook Today view

    Hello,
    I just started using the Outlook Today view in Outlook Data File and find it much easier to digest rather than scrolling through tons of folders for the 5 email accounts I have in it.  However, the massive white background hurts my eyes, especially
    at night.
    Is it possible to modify the the color of this or add a background image to it?  If changing it modifies other areas of Outlook feel free to add that as I'll try it out.
    I'm using Outlook 2010.
    Thanks!
    Jordan

    Hi Rvp711,
    Follow the given path to change the background color of Microsoft Outlook 2010:
    File >> Options >> Color Scheme (from the User Interface Options section)
    But, by default Outlook provides only three color options for Outlook interface
    *Blue
    *Silver
    *Black

  • Setting background image for repeating frame in .pdf report

    Is it possible to set a background image for a repeating frame, and more specifically for a repeating frame rendered in .pdf?
    I do not see any standard property in the navigator for images of any sort and the documentation touches only on setting background images for graphs, which is not the intent in my case. I -did- add an HTML table property background="myimage.jpg" but the report is ultimately generated in .pdf format and I was not surprised to see that the image was not rendered.
    Does anyone know if setting a background image as described is even possible, and if so, how? A second but less optimum solution would be setting the image as the background for all report pages, again in .pdf.
    Many thanks.

    Hi Raj,
    Yes you can have an image in the background. Thats possible if you are using XML forms as an iview or ivew dev in WebDynpro...
    Also check this [link|regarding background color change in iview]

    In the past flex 3 version, there is an attribute call <flexlib:MDICanvas  backgroundImage="@Embed(source='/imgFolder/imgFile.png')/>

    any solution to solve this....
    With Regards.,
    LinFlex-

    @Peter
    Yes! This works well now. Now I can get repeating background images directly in the code as well as in my CSS style sheets.  This looks good and helps me a lot as there are lots of occasions for me using this. I've gotten used to having repeating image backgrounds in HTML and missed that in Flex 3. This feature alone makes moving to Flex 4 worthwhile.
    This works fine for me:
    <s:Application xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
                   xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"
                   xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx">
      <!--make a background for the whole page  -->
        <s:BorderContainer width="100%" height="100%"
             backgroundImage="@Embed('images/bkg/grey_grid.gif')"
             backgroundImageFillMode="repeat" >
      <!--make an inner area with a graphic background  -->
            <s:BitmapImage id="legalPad"
                  source="@Embed('images/bkg/legalPad.gif')"
                  fillMode="repeat"
                  left="40" top="100"
                  width="825" height="200" />
        </s:BorderContainer>
    </s:Application>
    Here are the images I used:
    grey_grid.gif
    legalPad.gif

  • Setting background from image file in NetBeans

    Hello,
    recently I started to use NetBeans to create my applications and I found a little problem - I don't know how to set background in JPanel from a image file (*.bmp, *.jpg, etc.) without writing my own code. I found how to use ImageIcon, but cannot deal with setting background. Anyone know a solution?

    The code that you have to write is a custom JPanel (extend it) and in the paintComponent() method you draw the image you want as a background.
    public void paintComponent(Graphics g)
    super.paintComponent(g);
    g.drawImage(img, 0, 0, null);
    }Where 'img' is an object of type Image (such as a BufferedImage).

    Hi Sanjay,
              You can use transaction SE78 to inmport graphics to SAP.In the form painter, you can either include directly to the form using
      Edit->Graphic->Create or using the INCLUDE statement in a window.
    To use an INCLUDE stanment, goto the window script editor and use menu Include->Graphic. The include can look like this for a bitmap:
    /: BITMAP MYLOGO OBJECT GRAPHICS ID BMAP TYPE BMON

    The link u gave to me is very good but its hard for very newbie like me to understand. I just change the code like this :
    Using offscreen image
    Image off, back;      //to represent background image
         Graphics offG;          //to represent offscreen image
        public void init() {
         off = createImage(getSize().width, getSize().height);      // create your offscreeen image
         offG = off.getGraphics();
         back = getImage(getDocumentBase(),"images/Area.jpg");     // load your background image
        current_point = null;
        boundary = new Point(this.size().width,this.size().height);
    // Draw all of the lines stored in Start[], End[].
        // Draw the current line from current_start to current_point
        public void paint(Graphics g) {
              offG.drawImage(back, 0, 0, this);      // draw everything to your off screen first
              g.drawImage(off, 0,0, this);          // copy your off screen to on screen now
            g.setColor(Color.red);                    // set drawing color
            //Draw stored lines
            for (int i=0; i<numlines; i++) {
                g.drawLine(Start.x, Start[i].y,
    End[i].x, End[i].y);
    //Draw current line if one exists
    g.setColor(Color.blue);
         if (current_point != null)
    g.drawLine(current_start.x, current_start.y,
    current_point.x, current_point.y);
    Now my problem is the 'clear' button, i really dun know how to make button which is can clear the lines. Any one have idea?

  • When I convert InDesign file to pdf, the background of my image is no longer transparent

    I am working with InDesign CS3, and when I place a .gif file onto the document, the background of the image is transparent, which is what I want. However, when I convert the InDesign file to a pdf, that same image shows up in a white box. Why is this happening? Is there a setting that I am missing when I convert it? Thanks in advance

    I am converting it via export, and actually it is an ai file, my apologies.
    The white box does not appear in InDesign print preview.
    I corrected the link, but still no luck.
    I am opening the document in Adobe reader, and overprint preview is turned on.
    Keep the suggestions coming please! I really appreciate it.

  • Keying video that has similar colour background, advice please-image included.

    Last-year I visited America, and on the last day managed to secure an interview with a WW2 Ace, which had to be done within a very short time span.
    Unfortunately this left me with a situation that I couldn't really control, and so I am in a situation where I need to add a background to footage (doesn't need to be perfect, so a fringe would be acceptable), but I wonder if anyone can give me steps on how to best remove the Pilot from the plain background.
    An image can be seen here from the footage:
    http://www.atgo72.dsl.pipex.com/key.jpg
    As you can see, his shirt and hair are very similar to the background colour, so I have had difficulty colour and chroma-keying.
    I am wondering if it is possible to key him out of the background, or whether I'm chasing my own tail?
    Any help would be much appreciated, cheers, Neil.

    Here is my feeble attempt.
    http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/3345/keyout.png
    How: create a simple travelling mask and keyframe the movement of person try avoiding too few bezier points for easier, this is helpful for keying purposes so that the keyer has less areas to key out and in the end you can additionaly adjust mask expansion and feather at your needs >> Keying: i used at least 4 instances of color key and play around with color, color tolerance and feather of each instance >> add matte choker, adjust >> ad simple choker, adjust.
    NOTE: Ae does not update changes very well, means every slider adjustment must be done by little increments, so adjust a little, release, adjust, release, to get the preview done this is pretty awful but it works somehow.
    COMP PREVIEW MUST BE SET @ FULL QUALITY otherwise at half resolution results vary very heavy - thats the next flaw, hopefully better in CS5
    much luck.

  • Setting back ground on images to be transparent

    Hello,
    Is there a way to set a picture box to be transparent when mounted in Indesign.
    We are mounting EPS's into indesign and they have a clipping path. The background to the image is always white can this be set in a Document preference to set background on a picture frame to be transparent.
    Cheers Joe

    While placing the image in to the layout:
    1. Choose File > Place in InDesign.
    2. Select Show Import Options in the Place dialog box.
    3. Select a file that contains a clipping path, and click Choose (Mac OS) or Open (Windows).
    4. In the Image Import Options dialog box, select Apply Photoshop Clipping Path from the Image tab
    5. Click OK, and place the image.
    or...
    If using IDCS3 (I assume cs4 too, but don't own it yet) you can apply the clipping path after the image is already placed.
    1) Select the image frame with the selection tool.
    2) Choose the menu... Object > Clipping Path > Options
    3) Pick Photoshop Path
