Setting table dynamically
Hi,
I have a requirement where the form prints data from SAP.
I have a field COMMENT field in the form, that should print Rich Text with XHTML format. As data from SAP doesn't have XML tags, I did the following in the INITIALIZE event of the COMMENT field
var envel = '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><exData contentType="text/html" xmlns="http://www.xfa.org/schema/xfa-template/2.8/" xml:space="pre"><body xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:xfa="http://www.xfa.org/schema/xfa-data/1.0/" xfa:APIVersion="Acroform:2.7.0.0" xfa:spec="2.1" xfa:space="preserve"><p>PLACEHOLDER</p></body></exData>';
// HTML formatted data input. INPUTSAP is the field from SAP that has data in HTML format
var htmldata = $record.INPUTSAP.value;
// insert into envelope. This will wrap the HTML data with necessary XML tags
var newStr = envel.replace("PLACEHOLDER",htmldata);
// load into current element
this.value.exData.loadXML(newStr, 1, 1);
This work pretty fine, the output is just as expected.
But I have to do this for a table. I would be printing a table in the form, that gets the data a SAP table, say TABSAP. I have 2 problems
1. For each form table row how to access the corresponding row in TABSAP
2. The number of records in TABSAP is unknown, so how do I initialize the form table, because the form table should have the same number of rows as that in TABSAP.
Any ideas, please suggest.
Thanks
Charli
Hello Armin,
ok now i know where to place the code, but still not how to determine the amount of rows the RFC delivers. I know i could do it all on the ABAP side and giving the amount of rows as export paramter to the WD application and then bind it to a context attribute, but my intension is to do it on the webdynpro side
So the question remains, how do i determine the amount of rows the RFC gives back after i executed the RFC
This is the code for the RFC execution (standard generation code)
IWDMessageManager manager = wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager();
try{
wdContext.currentZxss_Get_Employees_InputElement().modelObject().execute();
wdContext.nodeOutput().invalidate();
} catch(WDDynamicRFCExecuteException ce) {
manager.reportException(ce.getMessage(), false);
The Context structure looks is like this:
[code]
- Zxss_Get_Employees_input (root node, 0..1)
--Output (node, 0..1)
---Employees (node, 0..n)
Name (attributes)
Pernr (attributes)

Markus

Setting the header of a Column group in a Advanced table dynamically
Hi All,
There is a requirement to set the Header of a column group in a Advanced table dynamically by fetching the values from a view attribute.
Code :
OAAdvancedTableBean spiderTbl1 ;
Problem:
It is not able to set the value for the header inspite of getting the handle of the bean.
Analysis:
the same piece of code works for
1) Setting the text of the advanced table
2) Setting the header of a column in a column group
Please let me know if there is anything more that needs to be done for setting the prompt of a column group header.
Thanks in advance!I have posted it without giving the complete code by mistake. Below is the code:
OAAdvancedTableBean spiderTbl1 ;
OASortableHeaderBean spiderHdr1;
spiderTbl1 = (OAAdvancedTableBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("SpiderCatTbl1RN");
if (spiderTbl1!=null){
spiderHdr1= (OASortableHeaderBean)spiderTbl1.findChildRecursive("AnalogHdr");
if (spiderHdr1!=null) {
spiderHdr1.setAttributeValue(OAWebBeanConstants.PROMPT_ATTR,
new OADataBoundValueViewObject(spiderHdr1,
"SpiderCategory1",
"ProjRegPVO1"));

How to dynamic set table names
In our application, the table name can be set at runtime by the customer. So is there a way in Toplink JPA to set table name at runtime (thru annotation or orm.xml) or programatically? Thanks.
Our application will host several domains at once. Each domain will get its own set of database tables for each module it uses. We keep them seperate by using a unique prefix. An example would be domainA.com's blog post table would be called domainA_blogPost, while domainB.com's will be domainB_blogPost. Both tables are the same, except for the name. The name needs to be specified at runtime since the central service controller tells the rest of the application which domain it is servicing and thus which set of tables to use. We will be adding domains dynamically all the time and we can't afford to create new entity sets and recompile the back end for every domain we add. I have been looking at the API and wonder if this is as simple as implementing a solution in our application, or am I going to have to tweek the implementation of toplink?

Reg. Creation of table dynamically
Hi Experts,
While creating a table dynamically some of the fields in it_lvc_cat are Integer but the created table (new_table) contains all the fields as character. Is there any possibility of changing the datatype as interger for required fields.

How to set a dynamic textfield?
How to set a dynamic textfield that can baseon the user input data to resize the textfield height and width? Beside, I would like to copy the MS word table into the Form textfeild with the original design, how to do that? Many thanks!
You need to check two things:
1- Make sure to check the "Allow Multiple Lines" under the object tab.
2- Check the Expand to Fit checkboxes under the layout tab.

AND intf_status = g_chr_validated_status )';hello Justin,hello Hans,
i am agree with both of you..
that it is not a good practice to create tables
dynamically...Cool, so we're all in agreement...
Actually, i need to put the data into temporary table
every time we run the procedure...Normal so far. I'm not sure whether you really mean a temporary table or a staging table, but we'll get to that later...
i am doing a Bank Interface where in which i want to
load the data from staging to temporary
tables...thats why everytime whenever i run the
procedure i need to put data in to temporary table.Do you really mean "temporary" as in "delete this data when my session goes away"? Or do you mean that you want to load the data into a permanent staging table?
The data changes dynamically depending upon the
parameters passed to the procedure.....The data is changing, but the set of columns in your temporary/ staging table is not. That means that you could create the table once (possibly as a temporary table), then just insert the data. Something like
Once, when you create all your other tables
CREATE GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE temp_table_name (
<<list of columns>>
ON COMMIT DELETE ROWSIn your code, you'd just do
INSERT INTO temp_table_name( list_of_columns )
<<your select statement>>
i am using this data here after in my package...
thats why instead of inserting the data everytime &
at every level..And your package is free to use the data that had been loaded into the temporary table throughout the scope of the transaction/ session (depending on how you create the temp table). Since you're not dynamically creating the table, you also don't have to worry about violating transactional integrity, dropping the table if it exists, truncating the table, using dynamic SQL whenever you want to query it, etc. It's just another table that your code uses.
i just want to create a table once in the
package......No, just create it once. At compile time.

Dynamic table dynamic setCellDesign
Hi experts,
i created a table dynamically and i would like to set the CellDesign for each column dynamically as well.
I have created a dynamic node and added a attribute of Type: "com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions.TableCellDesign" to it. in there specify how the cell shall looks like. My problem comes, when i try to add the attribute to the table property Cell Design via tablecolumn.setCellDesign().
Does anyone know how i can achieve this?
thanks in advance,
ReneHi Armin,
wow this was fast and absolutely correct. i tried it right away and worked.
Thanks Armin...

How to compare two PLSQL tables dynamically.
Hi,
Can you any body help for the following scenario,
I have two PLSQLtables with same structure ,Each PLSQL table contains more than 100 columns.
Now I want to compare content of the two PLSQL tables column wise.
I Knew allready one method like below
FOR I IN 1..100
LOOP
IF PLSQL_1_TAB(I).ACCT_NO = PLSQL_2_TAB(I).ACCT_NO THEN
INSERT INTO …....
END IF;
END LOOP;
is there any method to compare two PLSQL tables dynamically
Edited by: RAVI KUMAR.T.V. on May 5, 2011 11:51 PMHi Saubhik,
Thanks for your reply..
See the below code..
DECLARE
CURSOR cur_emp IS
SELECT *
FROM emp
WHERE job = 'MANAGER';
TYPE typ1 IS TABLE OF emp%ROWTYPE INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER;
v_pl_old typ1;
v_pl_new typ1;
BEGIN
OPEN cur_emp;
FETCH cur_emp INTO v_pl_old(1);
CLOSE cur_emp;
UPDATE emp SET comm = comm+1000 WHERE hiredate < '01-MAY-1981' AND job = 'MANAGER';
COMMIT;
OPEN cur_emp;
FETCH cur_emp INTO v_pl_new(1);
CLOSE cur_emp;
IF v_pl_old(1) = v_pl_new(1) THEN
DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('Latest comm not yet Updated');
ELSE
DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('Latest comm Updated');
END IF;
END;
When the above code is executed iam getting the following error :
ORA-06550: line 19, column 19: PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to '='
ORA-06550: line 19, column 4: PL/SQL: Statement ignored
Here in the example I have taken the standard EMP table, but
actually, Iam having a bigger table with 90 columns of different datatypes,
in which some of the columns gets updated after some UPDATE statements executed based on some conditions.
Now, my requirement is to compare the values of each and every column in the table before and after the execution of the UPDATE statements,
and to insert the modified values only along with the primary key column value into in a new table of similar structure.
If I write the code (to compare the values of each and every column in the table, and if the value is modified then insert that value along with the primary key value into a different talbe) then as the table is having many columns (90), the code becomes lengthy..
Is there any alternative method which does the same with shorter code.
Can you please give me an idea/sol. to meet my requirement.
Thanks..

You have an HTML page in which you have a text field and an add button. If you enter anything in that text field and click on Add button the text field contents should be displayed in the same HTML page and you should be able to go on entering new values into the text field and you should be able to retain and display all the previously entered values..
and finally the list of added items are not stored in the database..
If this is the case
i. Your html form should be submitted to the same page.
ii. You need to have a Vector which holds the entered values.
iii. Bind the vector object to the request object and collect the same vector object from the request and display its contents...
I think this would help... -
How to make columns in a table dynamic
Hi,
I want to make the columns of a table dynamic.
At design time I dont know how many columns will be required.
Rows are made dynamic by using the bean concept.
Please help me in this reference(columns).
Thanks
PoojaHi, i don't know how you create the rows dynamically but
have you tried to use a forEach?
<af:table ...>
<af:forEach items="..." var="...">
<af:column headerText="...">
<af:outputText value="..."/>
</af:column>
</af:forEach>
</af:table>
here there is an example of a dynamic panelList:
<af:panelList rows="3" maxColumns="6">
<af:forEach items="#{bindings.ContratosView1.rangeSet}" var="li">
<af:commandLink text="#{li.Codigo}" action="Edit"/>
</af:forEach>
</af:panelList> -
Error While creating Table dynamically
Hello gurus,
I am trying to create a table dynamically in OA Page. For this I have added an Empty TableLayoutBean called "TestTableLayoutRN" in My PG. and In the controller's process request I have added following Code
public void processRequest(OAPageContext pageContext, OAWebBean webBean)
System.out.println("TableBeanCO:ProcessRequest");
super.processRequest(pageContext, webBean);
OAApplicationModule am = pageContext.getApplicationModule(webBean);
Serializable[] parameters = null;
//am.invokeMethod("rollbackSupplier");
OATableLayoutBean tableLayoutBean = (OATableLayoutBean)webBean.findIndexedChildRecursive("TestTableLayoutRN");
OARowLayoutBean row = (OARowLayoutBean)createWebBean(pageContext,
OAWebBeanConstants.ROW_LAYOUT_BEAN,null,"rowHeader");
tableLayoutBean.addIndexedChild(row);
OACellFormatBean cell = (OACellFormatBean)createWebBean(pageContext,
OAWebBeanConstants.CELL_FORMAT_BEAN,null,"cellHeader");
row.addIndexedChild(cell);
System.out.println("TableBeanCO:End ProcessRequest");
But I am getting null pointer exception on the Line tableLayoutBean.addIndexedChild(row);
when I am trying to add the row to this table..
Can you please help why I am getting this error?

Creation of internal table dynamically based on the Date Range entered
Hi SAPgurus,
I have been facing one issue i.e creation of internal table dynamically based on the date range entered in the selection screen. For example the date range I am giving as 06/2006 to 08/2006, it should display the Fieldcatelog dynamically, this part i have completed but the only issue I am facing is to populate the sales data into that fields.
Right now my program is displaying the ALV like this.
Ex:
<b>CSR District 06/2006 07/2006 08/2006 totals</b>
Shiva New York 10.00
Shiva new york 30.00
Shiva new york 40.00
but it should display like this
<b>CSR District 06/2006 07/2006 08/2006 totals</b>
Shiva New York 10.00 30.00 40.00
80.00
Please help me in this scenario, how to acheive like this..
Thanks & Regards,
