Setting up Verizon email on Playstation Vita

I recently bought the Playstation Vita Wi-Fi edition and the new system update allows you to set up your email accounts so you can receive/send emails. I tried entering the same information as I did for Microsoft Outlook and it failed. Can someone please let me know how to send up my Verizon email.

Set it for POP for the server protocol. For the incoming server use incoming.verizon.net and for outgoing server use outgoing.verizon.net and use your full email address and password for the username/password. Worked fine for me.

I have a Verizon dry loop (DSL but no telephone #). I want to set up my Verizon email account (@verizon.net). How do I do this when it asks for your Verizon home telephone and I only have Verizon DSL?

Did you try entering your non-verizon telephone or cell phone number? It might be a left-over question that isn't used for dry loop customers but the programmers weren't told to update the logic.

Verizon doesn't use imap, so that might be the problem. Change to pop 3. A detailed step by step can be found at www.verizon.com/repair and clicking set up email, or you can try the auto fix by clicking fix email.

The screen clips below show the Outlook pop/smtp settings I use since the verizon email is also a yahoo email. Using these settings work for sending and receiving. I've been using these settings for a couple of verizon email accounts for quite awhile now without any problems. HP Eprint - can't set up verizon email

I have Ipone 4 with software up to date. Verizon email is working using the mail button. I downloaded HP Eprint app and setup Hotmail and gmail to successfully print on my HP Officejet 4500 (wireless). However every time I try to setup Verizon email either under pop or imap I cannot get it to sign in. Just shows the numeric keypad at bottom of screen to input port number and does not have a return button, and sign in at top of screen won't work...I am on a verizon fios wireless network also. Any ideas how I can add verizon email to my existing eprint accounts?????

I had the same problem. Solved it this way. Go to add account....enter email address , password . Host name is pop.verizon.net , turn on use SSL , and hit send. This worked for me and I got my emails up in the printing app. Good luck

Try running a system and user cache cleaning utility.
Check Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption that includes recommended system and user cache cleaning utilities.
If this doesn't work, try downloading and using the Firefox browser which is free. If the same occurs when using Firefox, this will indicate the problem is with Verizon.

Outlook 2013 and Outlook 365 on Windows 7: Can't set up Verizon email

I am running WINDOWS 7 and OUTLOOK 2013. I have Office 365, too.
I have followed every screen shot scrupulously and I have had Verizon take over my computer three times, with no success over the past three months since I purchased a new Dell Latitude.
When I use the "test account settings" or click next on the Pop and IMAP Acccount settings dialog, i get a SMPT error:
Send test e-mail message: The operation timed out waiting for a response from the sending (SMTP) server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).

Check your security software, make sure it's not set to scan your outgoing messages. This can hold up the sending process and cause it to time out.

After two hours on hold I finally got a soul to talk to but just to find out that nobody knew how to set up Verizon email account on the new iPad. It took me a few minutes but I figure it out by myself and I will be glad to share it with anyone by just calling me {edited for privacy} ( Verizon Wireless by the way - lol ).

Why not search for iPhone setup instructions on these forums? I have posted exact step by step instructions or configuration summaries at least three times in the past 6 months on this topic.

Your Verizon email account is completely independent of your iCloud account.
If you set your Verizon email account up in the iOS Mail app, then it will still be there.
You may just be in the iCloud Mailbox. Just tap the top-left button in the Mail app a few times to back out of individual mailboxes, and you should find all accounts set up on the device.

That is usually caused by a few different Bugs in Firefox, which seem to be fixed in the Firefox 4.0 betas.

I have a new iPad and want to set up my Verizon email account for access. My home unit is an iMac running Tiger, 10.4.11. I would like to keep the mail on the server until I download them on my home computer. I would like to be able to send mail also from my iPad.

You will not be able to sync your ipad with that computer. The minimum OS X is Leopard, 10.5.8. You'll have to set up your iPad manually and you will not have any really easy way to back up data or copy pictures and music to your iPad.
To activate your Verizon Account go to Settings > Cellular and tap the Account button to get started.
