SharePoint Calendar: Vies

How do I add a calendar from a https sharepoint site to my
http://sharepoint calendar using the "calendar in view" feature.

I am assuming that you want to add additional calendar views into one view using SharePoint Calendar Overlay. Here is a demo about this feature:
http://www.sharepoint911.com/blogs/jennifer/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=42
If you have any problems when adding a calendar from a https SharePoint site, please post the details here so that communities may offer a help.

  • Can SharePoint calendar show more than 3 items on a Day's schedule in Month view? How?

    Hi there,
    Can SharePoint calendar show more than 3 items on a Day's schedule in Month view? How?
    Thank you so much.

    Hi,
    From your description, my understanding is that you want to expand all items if a Day’s schedule has more than 3 items.
    You could accomplish your requirement with jQuery to auto expand all items when you load month view, please refer to this article:
    Auto Expand Month View on SharePoint 2013 Calendar

    If I misunderstand your requirement, please provide more detailed information.

  • Customizing Sharepoint Calendar Week Group View to display multiple weeks in a single row

    Hi,
    SharePoint Calendar's Week Group View is useful for comparing multiple co-worker's schedule, and we have a business needs to be able to view the schedule for with the date range of more than one week at a time between co-workers for planning purposes, is
    there a way (code or no-code) to manipulate the date/week range so that the calendar display more than 7 days in a single row?

    Hi,
    As there is no such OOTB feature, I would suggest that you can change the calendar scope to “Month” or create a Gantt view to display more weeks in a view.
    Or you can try to create a custom calendar web part to meet your requirement.
    Here are some samples of custom calendar web part for your reference:

  • Event created for SharePoint Calendar opened in Outlook, not showing in SP

    I have a SharePoint 2013 Enterprise calendar list that I have "open in outlook"
    In Outlook 2013, in the opened SharePoint calendar, I create a few events.   None of them show up in the SharePoint list , they only remain visible in my Outlook Calendar. I had users report this problem to me when we were still using SharePoint
    2007, I had hope this error had been fixed... but I shouldn't be surprised to see that it's still happening.
    How can this be fixed? I have users who are depending upon this SharePoint calendar to be accurate. I have no way of knowing that evetns created in Outlook are failing to show in SharePoint.  Help please

    Hi Vince,
    According to your description, my understanding is that the event made in Outlook don’t sync to SharePoint site’s calendar.
    Please try to use the ScanPST program to repaire the SharePoint PST file, compare the result.

  • Error while integrating Exchange Calendar with SharePoint Calendar Overlay

    Hello All, I'm trying to integrate Exchange Calendar with SharePoint Calendar using Overlay option. I have added root certificate in my central admin, but it still show an error Could
    not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel with authority.''
    Any idea what i'm missing?
    Thanks.

    Hi Manish,
    As I tested, please perform the steps below and test the issue again:
    1.Log in to Exchange server with admin account.
    2.Run mmc to open Console, click File > Add/Remove Snap-in, locate Certificates to add > Computer account > local computer.
    3.Then you will see Certificates, locate your Exchange certificate and right-click it > All task > Export, leave settings as default and export it to a file.
    4.Then go to SharePoint Central Administration > Security > Manage Trusts > add a new trust relationship with this certificate.
    5.Note If you have multiple web-frontend servers, repeat these steps on each web-frontend server.

  • How to create appointments in a Sharepoint calendar as a Sharepoint-User using Powershell?

    Hi,
    I want to create new entries in the Sharepoint calendar of our team.
    Background: We get many mails about patch rollouts on our Windows servers, with reboots and so on. Every team member should have quick access to all these schedules so I would like to add them into our Sharepoint calendar.
    Important: I have no admin rights on Sharepoint, I cannot log on to an SP server, I'm acting just as a normal user (when searching the internet, the tipps are based on "execute this on the Sharepoint server" :( ).
    I see 2 options, both are fine for me:
    (1) If I could get a Powershell snap-in/provider for Sharepoint, I could maybe utilize Sharepoint-Cmdlets.
    BUT: I didnt find any hint how to get the snap-in or provider.
    (2) I can connect the Sharepoint calendar with my Outlook and then try to create the appointments via Outlook.
    BUT: I didnt find any hint how to connect to this connected calendar. All the internet hits are using the default Outlook calendar.
    Can anyone tell me how to do it, please?
    Thanks.
    Walter

    Where is the Calendar hosted at the moment?   If it's within SharePoint, there is a "Connect to Outlook" button, which will export the calendar as a shared calendar to your Outlook instance.  I'm never tried the reverse, so if you're using
    a shared calendar, you may need to consider moving it.  When they are linked, they'll be a two way synch (updates from one end will push to the other).  On top of this, you and your team will be able to set-up differnet alerts.
    Additionally, within the product you can create an overlay, calendar, which allows you to merge different calendars.  Each source calendar can have a different colour picked for it.
    In regards to running PS scripts as an end-user, not much if anything can be done here.  All I can think of is adding a codeplex workflow extension, work that into a workflow and then plug a script into that.  Your IT guys might not let that fly.
    Hope that helps

  • Outlook Sync Error with Recurring Meetings on SharePoint Calendar

    We have a SharePoint (Foundation 2010) calendar that users also connect to Outlook (2010/2013). We are experiencing a problem with emailing recurring meeting requests to the SharePoint calendar; the item is received and populated properly on the SP calendar
    but Outlook fails to sync the item.
    The Outlook client then displays a send/receive error: [ Task 'SharePoint' reported error (0x80004005) : 'Failed to copy one or more items. For details, see the log file.'
    ] The error in the log file reads: "Error mapping item #140"
    This issue only occurs when recurring meeting requests are emailed to the SP calendar list. Recurring meetings sync properly with Outlook when the meeting is created directly on the SP site and when created directly on the calendar view within Outlook.
    I will appreciate any insight to this matter.
    Thanks,
    Josh

    Hi,
    This issue may occur if Outlook cannot connect to the Sharepoint List so that
    Outlook changes cannot sync to the Sharepoint. Please try the following steps and check if it helps:
    1. This error message could be caused that the PC with the Outlook installation couldn´t access the CRL from the HTTPS certificated used on the SharePoint server. To check that open the sharepoint Web site, and check the SSL certificate. There is an entry
    for the CRL. Now check from the affected PC if the CRL could be accessed.
    2. Check AAM configuration and we can try to browse the URL
    http://intranet ; then we can recreate the connection to Sharepoint in Outlook, try to sync it and then check the result
    See this thread with similar problem:

  • In SharePoint Calendar lists, fields [Start Time] and [End Time] do not exist at the Site Column level.

    <header style="box-sizing:border-box;color:#777777;line-height:1;font-size:13px;padding-right:46px;margin-bottom:3px;font-family:'Helvetica Neue', arial, sans-serif;">
    </header>
    I'm doing SP app development and have the following problem.
    I need to check Start time and End Time in SharePoint Calendar using CAML query and then add a new event to Calendar list using the Start time and End Time that user has entered in 2 datapickers
    in the form.
    function AddCalendarListItems() {
    var SD = document.getElementById("datepicker1").value;
    var SThh = document.getElementById("St1").value;
    var STmm = document.getElementById("St2").value;
    var ED = document.getElementById("datepicker2").value;
    var EThh = document.getElementById("Et1").value;
    var ETmm = document.getElementById("Et2").value;
    var T = document.getElementById("Title").value;
    var S1 = SThh;
    SD = SD.slice(6, 10) + "-" + SD.slice(0, 2) + "-" + SD.slice(3, 5) + "T" + SThh + STmm + ":00Z";
    ED = ED.slice(6, 10) + "-" + ED.slice(0, 2) + "-" + ED.slice(3, 5) + "T" + EThh + ETmm + ":00Z";
    //alert("SD= " + SD + " , ED= " + ED);
    var siteUrl = SiteCollurl + "/SharePointApp11";
    var clientContext = new SP.ClientContext(siteUrl);
    var oList = clientContext.get_web().get_lists().getByTitle('Calendar');
    var ListItemCInfo = new SP.ListItemCreationInformation();
    var newEvent = oList.addItem(ListItemCInfo);
    newEvent.set_item("Title", T);
    newEvent.set_item("EventDate", SD);
    newEvent.set_item("EndDate", ED);
    newEvent.update();
    clientContext.executeQueryAsync(Function.createDelegate(this, this.onQueryAddCalendarSucceeded2), Function.createDelegate(this, this.onQueryAddCalendarFailed2));
    function onQueryAddCalendarSucceeded2(sender, args) {
    alert("Success");
    function onQueryAddCalendarFailed2(sender, args) {
    alert('Add new item to the calendar failed. ' + args.get_message() + '\n' + args.get_stackTrace());
    But I receive the following error:
    Add new item to the Calendar failed. Column 'Start time' does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user.
    I've checked and 'Start time' does exist. So it seems in SharePoint Calendar lists, field [Start Time] and [End Time]  exist but do not exist at the Site Column level.
    Please advise.

    Hi Khojasteh,
    Use “EventDate” for Start Time field, and “EndDate” for End Time field. They are the internal name of the two fields, you can check it in the column settings page url like “Field=EndDate”.
    If it isn’t the issue, please debug the code, in which line the error occurs.
    Thanks,
    Qiao

  • How to connect a SharePoint List to a SharePoint Calendar?

    I am looking to connect a SharePoint List to a SharePoint Calendar within SharePoint 2013.  Is this idea feasible, and if so in what way could it be accomplished?

    if you have developed custom form using visual studio then you can add item to calendar through code, other options are event receiver and workflow.
    Event receiver will need custom coding using visual studio and if you have expertise on workflows then you can add an item using workflow task.

  • Through SharePoint Client Object model, how to make color coded events on Sharepoint Calendar

    Hi,
    Through SharePoint Client Object model, how to make color coded events on Sharepoint Calendar.
    Plese share your knowledge.
    Regards
    Tharak

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to make a color events Calendar.
    We can achieve it using the OOB method by creating the Calendars Overlay.
    http://summit7systems.com/color-code-calendar-events-in-sharepoint/
    You can also use the JavaScript to achieve it.

  • Embed SharePoint Calendar to External Web Page

    I would like to embed a SharePoint Calendar to an external public web page. This is very easy to do with google calendars and I have been struggling trying to find a solution in SharePoint.

    The client side object model could do this in combo with a SPQuery.  Microsoft has extended SharePoint 2010 to include lots of JavaScript connectors. They have also opened the ablility to include the JavaScript Libraries in External Applications. The
    thread which would be returned from SharePoint would be in JSON format.  Here is a blog post overview this ability.
    This gives a general overview.
    http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/60348/SharePoint-2010-Client-Object-Model-for-JavaScript.aspx
    The DLL's behind this from MS allow access to almost any object inside SharePoint.  Microsoft has opened the ability to place these in external applications, they are
     Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.DLL and Microsoft.SharePoint.CLient.Runtime.dll you can find these on your SharePoint Server at c:\Programs files\common files\Microsoft Shared\WEb Server Extensions\14\isapi folder.
    HEre is a good msdn post on distrubution and deployment.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee539757.aspx
    If you have done dev work on SharePoint you have used SPListItem which allows that access of list (calendars are lists).  In the client side object model you ListItem from with JavaScript.
    Working with the list data.
    As I noted before, the ListItem is the same this as SPListItem. You reference an existing ListItem as a member of a ListItemCollection object.

  • How to display private calendar appointments in Sharepoint calendar view

    I found this post about how to setup a sharepoint calendar as a personal calendar within Sharepoint 2013.
    http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/83366/view-outlook-calendar-in-sharepoint-2013
    It works great, but when the logged in person opens it the private calendar appointments only show as "busy" and don't show the details of the appointment. Since the person who's viewing it is the person logged in I would think it would allow the
    person to see their own calendar appointments.
    Is there a way to allow private appointments to show details in this view?

  • Push Sharepoint Calendar to Outlook users

    I have created a Calendar in Sharepoint 2010 that I would like all users in my organization to have viewable in their outlook application on laptops/desktops/etc.
    Is there a way for me to have it connect automatically via a push option, or in group policy, or something... anything?
