  • P2055dn short cut settings not working under windows 7

Short cuts worked fine under xp, and all the latest drivers have been installed. Multiple pages doesn't work, although duplex does (but only on the basis of one page per side).  User-specific shortcuts aren't displayed, although trying to re-set them generates a message that they already exist.

  • Anyone running 2007A under SQL Server 2000?

    Dear all,
I know 2007A has to use SQL 2005.  Although it is not officially supported, I am curious that anyone tried it under 2000.  What may happen if upgrade 2005 to 2007 but SQL Server stay at 2000?
    Thanks all for your input.

  • Connecting Oracle using SQL Plus in command window through LDAP settings?

    Hi
Just like to know if it is possible to connect Oracle using SQL Plus with connection type as LDAP.
Generally we connect to Oracle in cmd window as
    username/password@DBServiceName
Similarly is it possible to connect Oracle using SQL plus cmd window using LDAP configuration settings.
    Eg:-
If my LDAP server is oid:123:456
    Context is: cn=OracleContext,dc=abcdefgh,dc=com
    DBService is: xyz
    Regards
    jc

Specify the -L command line option to SQL*Plus, i.e.:
    sqlplus -L username/password@db @blah.sql
(this will prevent the second prompt for username/password if the initial login is unsuccessful for any reason, like an invalid password).

  • Short cut change icon is disabled and icons are generic

(I am not sure if this is correct forum, I don't know if this is for Visual Studio Setup Installation projects or for Installing Visual Studio itself)
I've created a Setup/Installation project for a WPF .NET 4.5.2 application and everything works fine with the exception of the program Icons.
After I run the Setup - the short cut on the Desktop and Start menu (Win 7 and Win 8.1) shows generic Icon and when I right click and select properties the Open File Location and the Change Icon buttons are disabled, but if I click on the short cut it runs
    the program.
In the Setup project I specified which icon to use from the exe program and I even added an icon do the project and pointed to this icon, but the icons still show up as generic.
Any advise on how to fix this?
    Thank You
    Peter

    Hi pczurak,
By reseraching, I found this thread in StackOverFlow has the same issue with you.
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2041291/how-to-change-windows-applicatoins-default-icon-in-setup-project?answertab=active#tab-top
From the answer, we could show up the desired icon in the following way.
    right-click on the Deployment Project
pick menu item View > File System
in the File System window, find the shortuct whose icon you want to change (for example, under "Users's Programs Menu")
go to the shortcut Properties (right-click and pick "Properties Window")
    go to Icon
    Browse...
change "Files of type" to *.exe
browse to and select your "primary output"
    OK, OK
And you could also change the icon in the Control Panel's "Add or Remove Programs" list.
If you have any other concern regarding this issue, please feel free to let me know.

  • How do I get the row of short cuts to website to show up on Firefox 4?

  • SQL script runs under SQL Devoper, will not run under UNIX, SQLPlus

I have a sql program I developed under the SQL Developer tool and it runs fine. I have ftp'd the sql to the Unix server and I am trying to run the same program under SQL Plus in unix. The program echo's back the line number that is the last line number in the code before the 'Exception' code in the program and it goes out into never never land.
I can't figure out why this runs under SQL Developer but will not run under SQLPlus in Unix. Any ideas would be appreciated!!!!

Assuming that the ftp process did not append any invisible characters(which it usually does) at the end of each line,
did you put the '/' symbol at the end of your program before running in sql*plus
    something like
    begin
    end;

  • A query runs in under 1 minute is sql plus, but takes 15 in Discoverer

I have a query that runs in under 1 minute is sql plus, but takes 15+mins in Discoverer. I use 3 parameters in discoverer which i specify as conditions in sql plus query. Any ideas on how to make it run faster??? BTW the query returns 10,000+ records. There is no formatting or sorting involved. Any ideas??? Seems the query execution plan is wrong...

    Hi,
I agree with Michael to check your preference settings. Particulary since Plus/Viewer reads the pref.txt on the middle-tier and Desktop reads each individual PC registry.
I would start with checking Query Prediction setttings.
Try turning off Query Prediction. If it is not setup properly it can cause a delay. This is one difference between Discoverer and SQL*PLUS
    See forum post:
Re: 20 mins and still predicting!!
Re: Different Performance between Desktop-Query and SQL-Plus
    Hope that helps,
    Steve.

  • Must SQL Developer run as an administrator in Windows 7?

I have seen a number of posts discussing installation of SQL Developer in Windows 7 and I've been able to get the product installed and running on Windows 7 provided I log in as an Administrator or enter Administrator credentials when prompted. However, I want to be able to run this as a "regular" User without having to enter Administrator credentials every time. Is there additional access required for the "Users" group apart from granting Full Control to the Oracle home and all sub-directories? I've also granted Full Control access to the local admin account's folder under C:\users\local_admin\AppData and C:\users\local_admin\.sqldeveloper, but I'm still being prompted for Admin credentials every time I run SQL Developer as a User who doesn't have Admin privileges to the machine. (UAC will prompt the Admin user, but no additional credential is required.)
Please advise!! I'm using the version of SQL Developer bundled with Oracle Client 11gR1 (SQL Developer 1.1.3). Is there something else I should be using?

    The short answer is no.
The privileges you need are read-access to the sqldeveloper installation directory and write access to your home directory (C:\users ). The first time SQLDeveloper runs you may need write access to the installation directory to write the JDK location into the config file.
I suspect your installation is owned by an administrator and W7's weird and wonderful security system is preventing you reading or writing something.
Try running <install_dir>\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.exe from a command window. That may show more detail on errors.
I would also recommend upgrading to the latest version (3.04) as many problems have been fixed and new features added.

  • Short Cut Query under SSMS

    Experts,
    DECLARE @TABLENAME NVARCHAR(1000) = 'TABLE_NAME' SELECT i.name AS Index_Name, i.type_desc AS Index_Type, i.is_unique AS Is_Unique FROM sys.indexes i INNER JOIN sys.objects o ON i.object_id = o.object_id WHERE o.name = @TABLENAME
I want to insert above query under Tools -> Options -> Environment -> Keyboard -> Ctrl+F1
How to get it done where I want to pass actual table-name inside hard coded string dynamically?
    Any help please?
    Thank You
    Regards,
    Kumar
Please do let us know your feedback. Thank You - KG, MCTS

No this is not what I asking for, you've specific something kinda find & replace (Ctrl+H), where as I was asking for insert/plug in query with blank string values and run dynamically from the query window after selecting the value.
    E.g.
    1.
Go to Tools -> Options -> Environment -> Keyboard
    2. Under Ctrl+3 I wrote SQL Server as "SELECT TOP 10000 * FROM "
    3. Restart SSMS to active above short cut query
    4. Open Query Window (Ctrl+N), type
only table-name and select it now hit Ctrl+3, which resulted in top 10000 values of the selected table.
This is what I was trying to do with multiple tables/joining those tables, here is the query I was trying
    SELECT i.name AS Index_Name, i.type_desc AS Index_Type, i.is_unique AS Is_Unique FROM sys.indexes i INNER JOIN sys.objects o ON i.object_id = o.object_id WHERE o.name = ?
Any idea how to achieve it?
Please do let us know your feedback. Thank You - KG, MCTS

    Hi BI_group,
According to the error message, the issue may occur due to two possible reasons: protection level of the package or the 32-bit/64-bit driver issue.
For the first possible reason, it may be that package still uses the default protection level EncryptSensitiveWithUserKey after it is deployed, however, the SQL Server Agent job runs under a different user account. To avoid the issue, you can re-deploy the
package and set the package protection level to EncryptSensitiveWithPassword or DontSaveSensitive during the deployment. If it is set to EncryptSensitiveWithPassword, we need to configure the Execution options of the job step to use the
/decrypt password option in the DTexec utility command line to decrypt the encrypted data. If the package is deployed to the SQL Server or SSISDB catalog, we can set the protection level to Rely on server storage for encryption or ServerStorage.
If it is not the case, check whether it is caused by the 32-bit/64-bit driver issue. For a 64-bit SSIS server, it uses 64-bit drivers by default, however, BIDS/SSDT uses 32-bit drivers unless the Run64BitRuntime property of the IS project is set to true.
In the BIDS/SSDT, check the Run64BitRuntime property to see if it runs in 32-bit or 64-bit runtime. This enable us to judge whether we need to check the “Use 32 bit runtime” option for the job step.
