Short dump whenever BP is updated or created.

Hi Experts,
I have a new CRM system here, everytime I try to create or change a BP and save it, everything is OK. BUT when I run transaction "BP" again, there's a popup saying "Express document "Update was terminated" received from author ***". And there's a short dump in st22 saying SYSTEM_CORE_DUMPED.
In sm13 there's an entry, the error occured in module SMW3_MFLOW_UPDATETASKBDOC, "Work process restarted; session terminated".
I also checked BDoc, there's one with state I04 - "BDoc stored before update task (intermediate state".
I checked the forums and the notes and also debugged into it. As the short dump happened when calling a kernal module "RFCControl", destination is "NONE", our system is not connected with any ERP system yet.
I wonder if you guys can give me some advice.
Thanks in advance.
Shane

Raja Shekar,
Check if the PSA is full... check the Database space available for PSA and then if required extend the PSA space and see if it goes through...

    Runtime Errors         RAISE_EXCEPTION
    Date and Time          27.10.2007 17:10:59
    Short text
    Exception condition "DATA_INCONS_IN_EXIT_MANAGEM" raised.
    What happened?
The current ABAP/4 program encountered an unexpected
    situation.
    What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
    administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
    Error analysis
A RAISE statement in the program "CL_EXITHANDLER================CP" raised the
    exception
    condition "DATA_INCONS_IN_EXIT_MANAGEM".
Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior
    program, processing was terminated.
    Short description of exception condition:
For detailed documentation of the exception condition, use
Transaction SE37 (Function Library). You can take the called
function module from the display of active calls.
    How to correct the error
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
    keywords:
    "RAISE_EXCEPTION" " "
    "CL_EXITHANDLER================CP" or "CL_EXITHANDLER================CM001"
    "GET_INSTANCE"
    or
    "CL_EXITHANDLER================CP" "DATA_INCONS_IN_EXIT_MANAGEM"
    or
    "SAPLS_IMG_TOOL_5 " "DATA_INCONS_IN_EXIT_MANAGEM"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
    1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
    (Unconverted)".
    2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
    (Unconverted)".
    3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
    In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
    Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
    4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.

  • Short Dump with VA22 transaction in ECC 6

    Hi All,
We are on ECC 6 and facing a short dump whenever we are trying to save some quotation. We are getting the following error.
There is probably an error in the program "SAPLSYDB". The program is triggered in the update task. There, the following ABAP/4 statements are not allowed:
    CALL SCREEN
    CALL DIALOG
    CALL TRANSACTION
    SUBMIT
    "POSTING_ILLEGAL_STATEMENT" " "
    "SAPLSYDB" or "LSYDBU27"
    "DB_COMMIT".
Is there a sap note for this. Any link or pointer to this will be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Jayant

    Hello,
This looks like a problem for SAP.  I assume that you have not modified the
program SAPLSYDB.  I also assume that you have searched the Service Marketplasce
for any OSS notes.  My next step would be to create a message to SAP to get them to
    have a look.
    Regards
    Greg Kern

  • What is Short Dump Analysis and  secendry index  ?

    Dear Experts .
    1.) What is purpose of T-codes SE30 and ST22 ?
What is Short Dump Analysis ?
2.) What is secendry index , How to use it ? How it effects the Performance of a report ?
    Please it is urgent ...
    Regards : Rajneesh

    Hi
A dump analysis is a comprehensive list that should enable you to identify the causes and possible solutions of program errors. The ABAP Workbench generates a short dump whenever a report or transaction terminates due to a serious error. The system enters the error in the system log and writes a snapshot of the program at the moment when it terminated into a special database table called SNAP.
Dump analyses give the user or programmer information about the causes of the error that has caused the program to terminate. Experienced users can use them to identify very quickly where and why this occurred. He or she can them solve the problem.
The snapshot contains the following information:
    Why the program has terminated
    What caused the program termination
Where in the program code the termination occurred
What you can do to correct the error
The values of the relevant system fields when the program terminated
The calls or events that were active when the program terminated
Any other programs that are affected.

Index: Technical key of a database table.
Primary index: The primary index contains the key fields of the table and a pointer to the non-key fields of the table. The primary index is created automatically when the table is created in the database.
Secondary index: Additional indexes could be created considering the most frequently accessed dimensions of the table.
    Structure of an Index
An index can be used to speed up the selection of data records from a table.
An index can be considered to be a copy of a database table reduced to certain fields. The data is stored in sorted form in this copy. This sorting permits fast access to the records of the table (for example using a binary search). Not all of the fields of the table are contained in the index. The index also contains a pointer from the index entry to the corresponding table entry to permit all the field contents to be read.
When creating indexes, please note that:
An index can only be used up to the last specified field in the selection! The fields which are specified in the WHERE clause for a large number of selections should be in the first position.
Only those fields whose values significantly restrict the amount of data are meaningful in an index.
When you change a data record of a table, you must adjust the index sorting. Tables whose contents are frequently changed therefore should not have too many indexes.
Make sure that the indexes on a table are as disjunctive as possible.
(That is they should contain as few fields in common as possible. If two indexes on a table have a large number of common fields, this could make it more difficult for the optimizer to choose the most selective index.)
    Accessing tables using Indexes
The database optimizer decides which index on the table should be used by the database to access data records.
You must distinguish between the primary index and secondary indexes of a table. The primary index contains the key fields of the table. The primary index is automatically created in the database when the table is activated. If a large table is frequently accessed such that it is not possible to apply primary index sorting, you should create secondary indexes for the table.
The indexes on a table have a three-character index ID. '0' is reserved for the primary index. Customers can create their own indexes on SAP tables; their IDs must begin with Y or Z.
If the index fields have key function, i.e. they already uniquely identify each record of the table, an index can be called a unique index. This ensures that there are no duplicate index fields in the database.
When you define a secondary index in the ABAP Dictionary, you can specify whether it should be created on the database when it is activated. Some indexes only result in a gain in performance for certain database systems. You can therefore specify a list of database systems when you define an index. The index is then only created on the specified database systems when activated

  • Short Dump while Complete deletion of data Contents from a Cube.

    Hello Experts,
I am facing a runtime Short dump whenever i attempt to delete data from a Cube. Shown Below:-

        Variable 4.......... " "
    How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
        keywords:

        "SAPLRSM1" or "LRSM1U43"

    What happened?

    Hello Srikanth,
I have no issues in trying to help someone as polite as you! It is very nice to have questions answered in an intelligible manner - not unfortunately always the case.
Without being able to debug on your system it is quite difficult to say what might be causing this error - especially as you say this was working in a different system.
I'm sure you've already tried eliminating differences in your authorisations between the two systems? Are you registered as a developer in the new system?
Sorry I'm now just guessing as I've not come across the error myself - hopefully now that we have clearly documented the issue, someone else might be able to shed some light on what might cause it!

        lr_trans_cont->set_layout_data( lr_matrix_head ).
        lr_container->add_child( lr_trans_cont ).

    Hi Felix,
You need to set the layout first and then set the layout data. Use the method cl_wd_matrix_layout=>new_matrix_layout. Do a set_layout on the container and then do set_layout_data. That should solve your problem.
