    Create a splitter using CL_GUI_EASY_SPLITTER_CONTAINER with a top and bottom half.  Put the alv grid in the bottom half.  Use cl_dd_document (documented in help.sap.com )  to build the header in the top half.  Use events on CL_GUI_ALV_GRID to handle the top-of-list printing.
    Or, if available, use CL_SALV_TABLE, and read the documentation on that.  When I needed a header for my report, that's what I did.  There's plenty of good documentation about if you'll search for it.

  • Multiple line header for ALV

    I am using  CL_SALV_TABLE (List_Display = X) to create a ALV report. I am willing to change it to function module REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY if it serves my requirement.
    The header for the report needs to be multiple lines (8 lines). How can I accomplish this?
    I looked into the possibility of using TOP_OF_PAGE event but I will have to hard code the vertical positions of the headers and since it is ALV and you can remove columns at will, I dont think this solution will work. Also if the columns are optimized or output length changed by the user, the positioning of the headers will be ruined.
    Currently the header can only be of one line, how can we make the header to display a table of contents.
    H1-L1          H2-L1          H3-L1
    H1-L2          H2-L2          H3-L2
    H1-L3          H2-L3          H3-L3
    H1-L4          H2-L4          H3-L4
    H1-L5          H2-L5          H3-L5

  • Header for alv block list

    Hi experts,
    im trying to build an alv report with block, and after some hours i finally get how it works but the report has 5 blocks .. and 1 header for all the report...and 1 title for each block
    the thing is that for each block theres are their events.. so if i use the TOP OF PAGE that good for each block title, but how can i put a general HEADER for all the report
    its something like this
    Report 0001              DATE
    title 1(top of page)
    alv_list1
    title 2(top of page)
    alv_list2
    title 3(top of page)
    alv_list3
    so... guys im kinda a noobie in alvs so i apreciated any ideas...

    but im working with alv LIST blocks .. and each block has top of page and top of list...
    im looking  for a top of list , for say, of all the report, of all the blocks...

    Tree is not having a table structure,so the standard ALV toolbar is of logically  no use and hence is not provided along with it.
    Yet you can do R&D .To get the std ALV gui status you can copy the the gui status SALV_TABLE_STANDARD of program SALV_METADATA_STATUS

    But I have a problem
    1.  I can expand the child links in tree structure when I comment the exporting parameter CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND in the function Module  'RS_TREE_LIST_DISPLAY'.
    2 But when i uncomment the exporting parameter I am unable to expand the child links in output.
    Please let me know if i have missed something in the code.

  • Problem in ALV Tree

    Hello Friends,
    I am using ALV Tree to display a report.
    In this report for a particular input.2 nodes are cerated.
    On clicking on the 2nd node the details for the same are shown .
    However on clicking the 1st node , the system automatically logs off closing all the SAP sessions and even the SAP Logon pad.
    Suppose i am on executing the program on development server,even the sessions of test server are closed.
    Can anyone please help me in this.....
    its a bit urgent.

  • Edit a field in ALV tree in a subscreen of a module pool

    Hi
    I want to make a field editable in the ALV tree based on some condtions in a subscreen of a module pool.  I used the edit = 'X' field in the fieldcatalog still it  is showing the field as display and not edit.
    Please help me to get the field as editable and save it to the database table.

    I tried making the field which is to be made editable  as wa_fieldcatalog-edit = 'X'. But its not working. I didnt get you when you said  edit in layout object.
    I also went through the demo programs but these programs are not having editable fields.

    I am able to display output in tree format. But I want to add the double click functionality to some of the fields in output. Means if I double click on some value in output tree, it should call some transaction. Please help me with this issue of double clicking.

  • ALV Tree

    Hi,
    I have created ALV Tree, every thing is fine. But in ALV there is no EXPORT button on alv toolbar. My requirement is to download the data to excel. How to add/activate export button with functionality.
    I am using Object oriented mechanism, and using set_table_for_first_Dipslay method to display the output.
