running IE 11 with registry hack for IE 9. I think the SL5 webbrowser control is set to work only in IE 7. can some one verify this or tell me how to set the WebBrowser control up to run either IE8, 9, 10 or 11? I have same issue with machines running IE 8
and above. This Silverlight 5 application is running out of browser with the elevated privileges (hack) and at test certificates install in proper stores. This application has been running for 2.5 years. Vender switch on some changes a couple days ago that
broke this application. Help!!

It seems there is nothing to do with IE mode.
Please make sure your link still can be accessed.
The WebBrowser displays HTML content in applications running in a Silverlight 4 or later out-of-browser applications or in Silverlight 5 in-browser trusted applications only.

It may be that it is stuck loading. You will want to probably first attempt a Hard Reset (Home Button + Power Button for 5-10s until it restarts with an Apple Logo then let it load up) and see if this will get it working.

I find that changing some settings in your syncing options will get syncing working again, like enabling Manually manage music and videos.

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Are you following these instructions.
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.

I have upgraded my iMac to Microsolf Office 2011 version 14.1.4 and now Outlook will not sync the calender contents and contacts to iCal and Address Book. Prior to the installation of 14.1.4 all worked well. Discovered the problem when I sync'ed my iPad and the addresses and calendar went missing. New entries to the calendar will sync. Help.

I started working for ChaCha, and now firefox will not work unless I manually close it in the process tree every time I want to use it. I also cannot open more than 1 page at a time.

I started working for ChaCha 11/26/2010, I had to download a program to take incoming questions.
Ever since then, Firefox will not work correctly, even if I am totally logged out of ChaCha, and the page is closed, if I try to open my browser using Firefox, it will not open, I have to go into the processor tree and manually end Firefox, then it will work, but it will only let me open 1 page at a time. For example I have Firefox open now, but if I go and click on the icon to open it in a new browser, it will not open, I either have to close this, or use IE-I HATE IE lol.
I cannot use the ChaCha add on you have because it is not for the new version of Firefox, please help, I love Firefox, but not being able to open more than one window/page at a time does not cut it, nor does having to manually stop it from processing. I have tried re-installing it too.

I own a 16GB iPhone 3G. My father passed it down to me a year ago after he got the iPhone 4. I pressed the sleep/wake button on the top of the iPhone to check the time, and as I did so, the screen flashed on and off and now the screen won't work. Whenever I put my simcard in there calls will go through but I am unable to hear them, but if I take it out calls don't go through. I've tried charging it for a while, connecting to my laptop, holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10seconds to restore it, but nothing works. First, update iTunes, then connect the phone to the computer and do a restore. This will also get your iOS up to date. Your phone should operate correctly after doing this, if not, you will most likely need to have the phone serviced or replaced.

If that doesn't help it may pay to tear down and reinstall iTunes in the following manner...
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
