SIMPLE Bpm

Hello,
I am trying to do a simple BPM of sending 10 rows through a receive step and then using a loop with transformation and send steps in it as I need to split the mesage and send 1 row at a time. Is this a good approach or do I need to set up a counter for the end condition of the loop? Any help is appreciated as I am getting to know the nuances of BPM...:)

Receive cannot be a multiline. So, after recive , add a container operation where the target element is a multiline element and your source is the recieved message.

use the multiline elements described above. Create a separate element for the currentline. Make sure it a a process or a block element.

If I change the BPM design again in the design tool, what do I need to do in order to refresh it so that I can pick the new IP in the configuration tool.

Hi,
1) Go to SXI_CACHE and check for the Return code of the Integration Process . It should be zero

2) Refere SAP Note# 708338
3) Still not reflected, go to Directory -> delete old integration process imported, and activate it then reimport it again

Simple BPM Scenario

We have a Scenario where 4 files will come with different structures, need to merge all into a single file.
So we created 5 Data types(4 incoming files and 1 outgoing file), 5 Message types and 5 Message Interfaces (Category - Abstract).
How to create Message Mapping(multiple source message types and only single target message type) and Interface Mapping(multiple source interfaces and only single target interface)
Can someone explain with an example ?

See in message mapping , goto Messages tab and click on + select the message type and same as target side also select and add ,
you can add any number of message types and check the message occurrences is must.
Similarly select the Interface Mapping , goto messages tab and add liek above.

Simple BPM correlation question

Hi!
My correlaiton is activated with the following correlation key and value:

But the response message is like this:

<ItemNumber>0001</ItemNumber>
As you can see the ItemNumbers are differs from each other with the leading zeros.
My correlation is waiting and waiting .
this can be the reason for the waiting?

Yes it is can be a problem. Thanks for every one. This error was occured with the standard Demo examples. I thought that an demo example should work correctly, but it is not.
I send the changed message (with itemnumber 0001) with a http client and everything is all right now.

BPM...needing help in a simple test case...

I'm having some trouble with the creation of an integration process.
My idea is to create the following process:
Legacy Nº1-->(FILE) -- > XI -> (FILE)> Legacy Nº2, after Legacy Nº2 receives the file (Purchase Order), one of the fields of the purchase order will be submitted to a validation.
If the field is correct it will send another file back to legacy Nº1 with the approval of the purchase order.
In a BPM, how would this be look like?
I'm able to send the purchaseOrder, but How would the validation of the field be executed? And what components would then be placed in order to achieve the validation and the corresponding sending?

Like I said I was able to send the Purchase order from legacy Nº1 to legacy Nº2 with a simple BPM like:
start-->receive step >send step> end
My idea is after legacy Nº2 gets the file, validate one of the xml field files, just to check if the purchase order is the one i'm expecting.
If the order is the correct, I'd like to send a confirmation of that purchase order (a simple xml file) back to legacy Nº1.
My confusion is, I have for my simple BPM:

tHE BPM is confusing me a little bit because there is few material for me to guide....

BPM Application Link does not appear in BPM Workspace (11.1.1.7)

I spent huge amount of time to reveal why does that happens.
All that follows further is valid for BPM Suite 11.1.1.7.
The scenario.
You developed a simple BPM process with Initiator pattern (maybe by following the "Quote Request" tutorial).
But the application link did not appear in BPM Workspace.
Here i'm skipping any kind of mistakes as "oh, incorrect swimlane", "oh, i did not include the user to the app role" and so on.
At first, you should know about the "feature" - You have to attach task form to the Initiator Human Task to see the App Link.
The simplest way to do that is to AutoGenerate task form (and deploy it, of course).
Else the Appication Link will not appear.
One exception to this rule - If your Task HAS NO PAYLOAD (no parameters) the Task Form is not required (to appearing of the Application Link).
The second find is a bug (is think so).
If you edited the Role that Attached to the swimlane of Initiator Task, you will not see the Application Link.
If you look to organization.xml you will see something like this:
        <ns1:applicationRole id="StartTask.InitRole" isProcessRole="true">
            <ns5:name>StartTask.InitRole1</ns5:name>
            <ns1:processRole id="InitRole" name="InitRole1"/>
        </ns1:applicationRole>
The Application Link will appear ONLY IF THE "applicationRole id", "applicationRole name" and "processRole id" have the same value.
When you edit name of the application role in Organization Editor you change "applicationRole name" and "processRole name" values.
After that "applicationRole id" != "applicationRole name" and the Link does not appear.
How to fix?
Just edit organization.xml (with external editor) - change the "applicationRole name" to the value of "applicationRole id".
That allows to have value of "processRole name" something like "The Initiator Role" - that value appears in the BPMN diagram of process.
Also you can edit organization.xml with Organization Editor and set the Name to the value of "applicationRole id".
In that case the associated swimlane will have the same name as the "applicationRole id".

How to carry out an action on a task in a bpm process from another adf app?

We have a simple BPM process with only one human task with two actions: approve and reject.
We want to know if it is possible to approve or reject this task from another adf application; I mean by clicking a button on a different page - not using the Actions menu in workspace, can I change the status of the task to approved or rejected and remove the task from the workspace of the assignee?

I think you can use ItemAdding event to update your fields. This works better for you instead of ItemAdded event.

Calling Oracle BPM Process Web Service from Oracle Service Bus

I am using Oracle Service Bus 10gR3.
I have developed simple BPM process through Oracle BPM studio 10.3.1.0.I then followed steps below
1. Create a Process.
2. Expose the Process as a Web Service.
3. Run the project. This starts the Process Execution Engine.
4. Create an ALSB External Resource of type Management Host.
5. Create a second ALSB External Resource for registration.
6. Register the End Point
Until this point everything is fine. Then I created one project through Oracle Service Bus console. Under that created WSDL, Proxy Service and Business Service Folders. I am using the web service created through BPM studio as teh Business Service in SB . I then created one proxy service to route the request to the Business Service.
Finally when I try to test the Proxy Service by launching test console, I get the

Error in BPM (No receiver agreement found from sender to bpm)

Hi all
In a simple bpm scenario, I am getting a error that No receiver agreement found for sender service to bpm integration process.
What might be the reason?

your configuration should like this.
say u are doing File to File using BPM
File to BPM
then BPM to File.
so u need to create RD where sender is fileservice and receiver is BPM.
second u hav to create another RD where BPM is sender and Fileserviceis receiver.
So there should be
one Sender Ag
two RD
two ID
one RA.

How to Multi-Map N:1 messages in BPM when N is unknown

I need to perform an N:1 message mapping in a transformation in an Integration Process. SAP Documentation explains how to do this:

But it seems to be the case that the first message of the source will be contained in a <Message1> </Message1> element pair, the next message in <Message2> </Message2> element pair, etc.
So what do I do in the case of a variable number of input message that get mapped to one message? I don't know how many messages will be coming in before the mapping needs to be done; it depends upon how many messages are sent out in a fixed time interval.
I will be using an ABAP XSLT transform to do this. I cannot use a
<xsl:for-each select="Message">
Kind of construct because each message is enclosed by a different <MessageN> element.
This must be a problem that has come up before. Can anybody please point me to the solution?

Hi Anthony,
Yes you can perform N:1 message mapping using BPM by just using a "wait" step. Its very simple. The "wait" step waits for a particular time period or scheduled time(like 25th March 10:00 PM).
If only "collection of input messages for a particular time interval" is your concern, then I think you can just do it with a simple BPM and no need of ABAP XSLT maaping. It can done by a simple Message mapping itself.

BPM process not responding

Hi
I have created a very simple BPM process in BPM Studio 10Gr3. It is processed as a Web Service and takes in a string and outputs a string (synchronous). The trouble I am having is once it has been deployed onto a clustered environment, I then attempt to call the process from SOAP UI but unfortunatly it just hangs and eventually timesout.
I know the process is running because I can see it in the BPM log viewer and I have outputted additional log messages from the process to the log viewer. However I do not get a response back from the process.
I would appreaciate any help with this.
My setup includes a clustered Weblogic Environment and I have set authentication type to: Username Token Profile.

Hi Shamila,
To me this looks like a configuration issue. You can trouble shoot it this way
First try to check if the web services is up and running
Second check your configuration, for this, in NWA Manage Processes application get all the 'failed processes'
-check if your in-progress process is listed here-
- if so then open the Error log tab for the process in the details section in Manage Process
- See the logs listed here; generally the last log will tell you if your configuration is correct or not
-if you figure out that the configuration isn't done or is improper then correct the same in provider systems and/or application communication configuration
- then once this is done, re-query the failed process and use the "Recover" option

Error while deploying BPM : DC bpm_0/bl/ddic does not contain any archives for deployment

Hi All,
I'm using SAP PO 7.31 single stack. I've created a simple BPM in NWDS. I'm able to successfuly build the BPM which I created but when I "Deploy" it throws the below error.
DC bpm_0/bl/caf/metadata does not contain any archives for deployment
DC bpm_0/bl/ddic does not contain any archives for deployment
DC bpm_0/bl/caf/dictionary does not contain any archives for deployment
Not sure what/where to check and fix the issue. Can you please help me in fixing the issue?
