Slideshow and animated Text-

Simply trying to employ FC to create a rotating slideshow of images with text overlaying the images. I want this slideshow to play indefinitely and to be able to animate and fade the text in and out with the slides. I wouldn't mind having some interactivity off to the side to link out to specific pages and that seems pretty easy to accomplish after reading through and watching the videos. But the "never-ending" slideshow is somehow eluding my logic.
If anyone has some ideas how to set this up, it would be appreciated!

Attached is an fxp file where I created a custom component called "Slide Show". The component has several states each with a different colored square on it. I went to each of the transitions I cared about and clicked the "smooth transition" button to get a nice cross fade between each state.
In order to make the slide show play, I created a "Play" button at the app level and made the button play an action sequence when clicked. In the action sequence I added several "Set Component State" actions, each setting the "Slide Show" component to a different state. I then spaced out the actions in the timeline to control the timeline.
As for repeat, unfortunately, Fc beta II doesn't expose the repeat functionality that is available on effects in the SDK. You can go to Flex Builder with this fxp file and add repeatCount="0" to the <Parallel> tag that corresponds to the action sequence to get the behavior. Check out the code in the attached fxp file to see the change I made.

  • How to trigger based play a text, video and animated symbol

    Hello
I have an animated text followed by a video followed by animated symbol. I have a next button with the following commands
    sym.getSymbol("slide").play();
    sym.play();
    The problem:
I can go next from the text to the video but have to wait till the video finishes playing then the symbol comes in automatically. if i click next while the video is playing. The animation progresses in the symbol and it misses the starting animation.
What i want is while the video is playing and i click next the video stops and the slide starts to play.
    Project file here: https://www.mediafire.com/?0zv067hgt6g0l7x
    Can anyone help ?
    Thanks

    Hi
    I was facing another issue.
As you can see in the test project. There is a video. It has a simple opacity at the end. When i enable controls for the video and pause and play in the browser to see specific parts. but what happens is that the video fades out when the playhead reaches that point and other slides fade in.
What i want to do is when the pause button is pressed in the video, the playhead stops and only when the video has ended or the next button clicked, the next slide appears.
Can you please tell me how to achieve this ?
    Thanks

  • How can I create transparent animated  text with Motion and Final Cut Pro?

    Hi all,
I am trying to replicate an effect that a previous video editor did in a project, but I can't contact them.
They made animated text in Live Type, and saved it as a QT movie. When this text is placed over existing video in the FCP project, the text is "transparent", basically it acts like text created in FCP (You can see the background image behind the text, like through the middle of the letter "o").
I have made some animated text in Motion, but when I save it as a QT movie, and bring it into FCP, the whole 1280x720 screen is covered by this movie, and I have to crop it so it does not cover the background image. It is all black except for the text. And of course the text is not on a transparent layer. Any ideas how I can create this effect with animated text? I've tried messing with transparency and overlay settings, nothing seems to work.
Running latest version of Final Cut Studio...
    Thanks
    Dave

Just bring the Motion (.motn) project into FCP and lay it over your clip.
The QT you're exporting has to carry the alpha channel (animation codec, million+ colors), but don't waste your time/disk space with that. Just bring the motion project into FCP.

  • BEST SETTING FOR MOTION ANIMATED TEXT AND GRAPHIC TO PLAY FROM STANDARD DVD

    Hey all,
I have a motion background with some animated text that I want to play as a loop on a HD plasma.
The content will play off a standard sony dvd player. clip is about 5 mins long but I want it to loop.
    Questions-
What format should I compress the animated squence in before using DVD studio pro.
    Content will have no menu.
Is there another format then NTSC DV i can try and use mpeg4 or something most players will accept that is less compressed the mpeg2 or 4?
    Thanks

found it myself in myself made my own compressor setting.

  • How do i?? Trying to make a slideshow with animat text to play on 16:9 HDTV

    ok. In a rush here.
How do i setup my sequence so i can import photos and add animated text to create a 4 minute animated slideshow. The end result will be burned onto DVD and played on a 16:9 HD Plasma or LCDTV.
What is the settings for the sequence?
    How do i export?
What program should i use to burn to DVD?
Do i need to go get a special DVD player to play this DVD?
If done correctly will i get a clear image that will fit on a 16:9TV and look near HD quality?
    Thanks in advance to everyone!

The DVD player you want to use will not deal with HD DVD's... so you need to make an SD project in the end.
Set your sequence settings to DVCPROHD 1080i 60... Edit in that sequence. The jitter in your stills could be caused by a number of things, but normally if you will downsize the pictures to a size not much bigger than your sequence settings' size they may well look a lot better. In the case of the DVCPROHD settings above, you'd make them no larger than 1500 pixels in either direction, and no larger than 300 dpi... they must also be RGB stills not CMYK... You need Photoshop or similar to change them and resize them with... make sure their format is RGB and not much larger than what I've suggested for size. Tiffs or Picts work better than JPEGs too. JPEG's take a lot longer to render...
If these stills are smaller than that to begin with... might be best to use the standard DV NTSC anamorphic sequence setting, and the following workflow would work for either case. It's just that the HD settings would keep things in a higher resolution to start with, and the better you start with, the better the end product will be. Using uncompressed HD settings would be even better, but it takes a pretty serious mac setup to deal with these huge files. Fast array for playback and Capture card for monitoring externally with...
When you get finished, simply choose File/Export/Using Compressor. It's recommended by many to NOT use any rendered media... i.e. trash your renders before you export the sequence to Compressor. This is done from the Tools menu (Render manager) just check on the sequence you're exporting there and trash the renders for it en masse.
In compressor choose a 16:9 SD preset that is the shortest you can use... i.e. if your sequence is shorter than 90 minutes, use the high quality dual pass VBR preset for 90 minutes... Then import the resulting SD MPEG files into DVD SP and create your Standard Def DVD with them.

  • Animated Texts in Demoversion don't seem to work properly

    Hey there,
I am quite interested in buying and working with Adobe Premiere Elements (12). I do quite some hobby film editing, and have some experiences on the field with other free programmes (like Avidemux, Movie Maker, etc.), but I have some spare money and thought that Premiere would help me do my job easier, and / or better.
So, I downloaded the demo version to see if I can get around it, and if it has all the functions I want from a program, that is at least a little bit expensive from my point of view.
All in all I think it is neat, but I have one problem that is a severe problem for me. I can't get my texts animated. No matter what I do. I have read the related FAQ-section, I have had a browse-around in the Adobe TV section, and I don't think I am doing it the wrong way - it just doesn't work.
I have my video, audio and all the stuffs in place. Around the time of 10-15 seconds I do have a title (sort of an intro-title-thingy), and I don't want that to just "pop up" and "pop out", but rather have some nifty animation to come in.
    What I am trying is:
Activating / selecting the text passage.
Going to the righthand window, selecting the "animation" tab. There we have the first problem: The preview of the shown effects does only work randomly (which means sometimes it doesn't work at all), and if so, only with a quite big delay.
Nevertheless, when I try to apply any of those animations, I just have no possible way of doing so. The "OK" Button on the bottom of the animation tab is grayed-out, so I can't click that. If I try to drag&Drop the animation on the text in question, it just shows a forbidden-sign and doesn't apply it. Whether I try to drag and drop it on the preview-text in the preiview-video, or if I try to Drag&Drop it to the text in the overview-timeline down below.
From the same window I can apply styles, I can change the text font, etc. The only thing I can't get to work is the animation thing.
I am also quite certain that my new PC should not be the problem - I work on 16 Gigs of RAM, Win 8.1 and an Intel Xeon processor, so that should be enough to handle the workload...
Since I think animated texts are quite improtant for video editing and videos without it look quite, quite less professional, this would be a reason for me to not buy the program at all. Although I think it MIGHT be related to the fact that it is only a demo, but since I can't check that without investing money...
Anyhow, I was hoping that maybe you nice people here have an idea where I am going wrong, and that maybe this is all just related to my own stupidity, so any good ideas? Help? And stuffs?
Thanks for your help in advance!

I have just read your thread and will respond more fully after you have read through the link provided in this thread. Right now I want to point out where I do not agree especially with SG's "The text can only be one line long" when it comes to the Premiere Elements Titler Text Animation Feature. Not so.
For starters, please check out my blog post on the Premiere Elements Titler Text Animations and a sampling of some of the text animation effects that can be achieved in the Premiere Elements Titler Text Animation feature.

  • Animated text not working in SWF preview or exporting SWF file

    Hello-
I am animating text so that it appears after a 3 second delay on page load. However, it does not seem to work at all. It worked for a paragraph of text, but it won't work for text that seems to be surrounded by other objects. I tried moving the animated object to the top-most layer, but that did not work.
Animating seems to be quite buggy in InDesign, is this a usual issue?

Are the surrounding objects static or animated? If the objects are animated, perhaps the animated text is waiting for these objects to complete their effect. And the effects could be set with a long transition time. When working with many animated elements, the timing panel helps with the order that effects will happen.

  • Animated Text In Interactive PDF, also question about SWF distribution

Hello Forum.......first post, so hi to everyone
I have created a indesign cs5 document that has some animated text flying in from the left upon mouse clicking, if i export it to a SWF it works fine but if i export it to an interactive PDF the text is already in place. Is it possible to have animated text in an interactive pdf?
Another question I have is regarding swf files, i need to create some presentations for our sales guys to run on their lap tops while out at clients, when i export it you get the resources file and the swf file....rather than just dropping these into a folder on their laptop is there a slicker way to package it in some kind of projector file.
It would also be nice if in the future I could put the presentation onto a CD and have it auto launch the presentation.
If anyone could give me some basic pointers it would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    James

    Hi, George.
Thank you for your help and reply.
It seems that the Lightbox effect may be complicated to achieve with Acrobat in a relatively simple way. Is it possible to accomplish a similar effect using InDesign CS5 and Acrobat Pro 9 ? I would like to click on certain elements of my PDF document (images or text) and have a window of a pre-specified size (approximately 800 wide x 600 high) open in the center of the screen.
Can I do this in InDesign ?
One other things I noticed is the ability to embed html code in Acrobat. Can this be used to accomplish this effect ? Can a window be opened in the center of the screen triggered by a button in a PDF file so that this window functions as a browser and displays another document downloaded from web address (file located on a server) ?
    Thank you again,
    Joe.

  • HELP! animated text not showing up in final render (after effects)

I'm using position and motion blur for my animated text. I changed the font several times to see if there was any license issues and there isn't. I also put a static text layer in the file and then rendered, and THAT text will show up, but moving text refuses to show up. What can be the problem? Please help!

We need to know a lot more if we're going to help you. Please provide answers to the questions listed here: "FAQ: What information should I provide when asking a question on this forum?"

  • Simple way to insert  custom Jquery Slideshows and Plugins in Muse

Hi guys, I know the Adobe Muse team is working hard to make this revolutionary tool better by the day. They have done a lot of foundation work to get this tool up to this state. I say congrates guys keep the good work on.
But before we get to the promised land. I know a lot of 'creative non-coders' still want to take up the challenge of doing some cool stuff spread around the internet nowadays such as jquery fullscreen image slideshow, fullscreen image jquery sliders, etc. But Muse is not there yet. I believe the next release will enable designers to take advantage of the height feature missing right now(I just believe so, no insider hint, please don't quote me.).
Okay let me not bore you.
Now I have noticed you can bring any slideshow into Muse if you have the bravery to do it. It's so simple. See this: www.dynamicarchitecturaldesign.com.
The slideshow was a backstretch jquery plugin with some custom javascript to load the page before displaying the page.
The trick is,  follow the instruction provided by the author of any of this script, especially the ones relating to the jquery-1.4min.js... jquery-1.7.min.js... upto the latest version that could possibly be available. Note: Adobe Muse also have almost the latest version of the jquery plugin. So after authoring your stuff in Adobe Muse, export as HTML then move and replace any of the code provided by the author of the code you intent to use with the one that Muse generates always:
    <script src="http://musecdn.businesscatalyst.com/scripts/1.1/jquery-1.7.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
This is often placed toward thge bottom section before the closing </body> and </html> tags. Move it up to the head section using notepad or DW. Though this is not the intended workflow by the Muse team, but it gives you the edge to do stuff you want to do.

Okay Maurya, am suggesting the Muse dev team can take a cue from the edge team. In the publishing setting of Edge their is an option for Framework via CDN! Introducing this feature into Muse will go along way to enhance the workflow of psuedo-developers using Muse  to cut down on web design time.  if I have some jquery codes for slideshows and so on that I have lifted from some places or purchased on the internet, I can conveniently place the codes as usual where they need to be and on export  indicate to Muse whether I want it to include its own code:
"http://musecdn.businesscatalyst.com/scripts/1.1/jquery-1.7.min.jswhich has been further modified in the new beta 2 release as:
    <script type="text/javascript">
       if (document.location.protocol != 'https:') document.write('\x3Cscript src="http://musecdn.businesscatalyst.com/scripts/1.1/jquery-1.7.min.js" type="text/javascript">\x3C/script>');
    </script>
in the export and during publish (a publish setting kinda of could be added to the preference area) or use my own framwork that I have included in the head section. So Muse will not include the above jquery musecdn...  in the publish version. That way you are giving us more control and winning more developers over to Muse and of course more money for Adobe . • Animation in illustrator cs4: pan & rotate across large image while animating text?

    Hi there -
I have a fairly large circular starmap image - it's a fantasy piece simulating an ancient painted star map with stars, ancient constellation figures, and calligraphic text. Basically a bitmap background from PShop, vector layers with stars, constellations and text. I want to export from Illustrator to Flash a number of short 'movies' of different views of this artwork panning from one point to another with possible zoom and rotation around the image as it pans. I also want to animate one or more of the constellation shapes as the movie pans, as well as adding momentary effects to some of the text.
I'm familiar with setting up a non-panning animation in illustrator using layers as animation 'cells' and exporting to Flash. But is it possible to do this while moving across a large piece of artwork? How can I capture and export a specific 'view' which moves across the larger image and/or zooms in or out, while also animating a shape or text glow for example? Would this be accomplished with a mask set to the aspect ratio of the final movie which is moved/resized/rotated from layer to layer?
Is this even possible in Illustrator CS4? I'm not familiar with Premier or AE, hoping to stay within Illy and Flash.
    Thanks!

    Thanks Monica,
After researching, it looks like Sony Vegas can be used to create a freeflowing video 'fly-over' of the artwork. And then at specific points I can import and animate the Illustrator vector pieces with After Effects - just a 'bit' of a learning curve now...

  • Modifying animated text in iDVD themes

In themes with animated text, such as "Pass Through" (a v6.0 theme), what text object is used to define the actual text that is animated? and if that text object is deleted, how can it be re-added? (presuming that the undo function cannot be used due to a save since its deletion)
    Message was edited by: mlhjeh80

Can't answer your question directly, but would suggest re-doing your iDVD project with your new knowledge. Perhaps play with your theme to get it how you want before importing the videos.

  • Slideshow of JUST text, no images

Is there any way to create a slideshow of just text without having to create a PNG image of the text itself? I want it to be live type.

Yes, the various widgets found in the compositions section of the widget panel are for this purpose. Though many of them have an image placed in their default state, you can just delete the image and design using only text.
To turn it into a slide show, use the little blue arrow that shows up when you select the widget. Clicking it will bring up the menu associated with the widget. In that menu, you will see a drop down titled "Auto Play". Change it's value to the one that best suits your needs.

  • Animating Text / Type

I'm tying to animate a line of text / type in Director and
I'm not sure what is the best way to go about it .
Can someone confirm that I cannot animate type with Director
the same way I can in Flash? I know I can make it move and so on,
but I want my type to shrink in size as it's animation.
I know I could make a bitmap of the piece of text, but I'd
rather avoid that if at all possible. I thought about drawing the
piece of text in the vector drawing tool with Director, but I find
that quite difficult. Adobe Illustrator is easier for that, so I
drew my piece of text with Illustrator, but I'm having trouble
    importing to Director.
    Cananyone suggest anything?

Yes, animating text in Director is very different from
    animating text in
Flash. Director's sprites follow very different rules than
    Flash's
symbols. Each of Director's sprite types follow unique rules.
Text and field sprites have a one to one relationship with
    the
originating member. If you alter the sprite, you alter the
    member. This
is unique to these sprite types. Consequently, you can't zoom
    a text or
field sprite. You can change the rect of the member, but this
    won't
change the size of the type inside the member, or sprite.
The most common methods for animating text are to use a
    bitmap version
or to use Flash. Since Flash text is a vector, it will be a
    smaller file
size, and it will scale better.
If you create art in illustrator, you can save that file out
    as an .swf
or import it into Photoshop and save it as a transparent
    .png.
