Small little icon showing next to movie clips

I have, oh, about 120 movie clips, videos, etc, in iTunes. I notice some of them, not all, have a little circle that is half filled in, in blue. what does that stand for?

Blue means unplayed/unwatched
Half blue means partially watched
Blank circle means completely watched

  • Cloud Download icon shows next to songs on my iPhone 5s

    Yesterday I purchased an iPhone 5s and downloaded my music to the new phone. I have three albums that have little cloud icons showing next to all of the songs on my phone. The albums also show a cloud in the corner of the album picture in my iTunes on my PC. I want to keep the album in iTunes but how do I get these off of my phone. I can download the music from the cloud on the phone and sync. The music then shoes in iTunes as being on my phone, When I try and delete it from my phone all of the downloaded music goes back to showing the cloud icons on my phone. I cannot get rid of these songs off my phone.

    They are off the phone. The cloud shows they are available. If you do not want to see this, then go into Settings>Music and turn off Show all music.

  • How do i bring back the little icon marks next to each bookmarked item in bookmarks? After the most recent update, theyve vanished.

    After i updated my laptop with the latest 9.0.1 Firefox i seem to have lost the icons next to each bookmark under bookmarks.
    Having the icons next to each bookmark made locating the bookmark i desired much easier.
    Please help me with this matter thanks.

  • HT4306 Why does the ping icon show next to some songs that I purchase and prevent me from burning onto a CD for my own personal use?

    Hi. I am having trouble burning songs that I have purchased from the itunes store onto a CD for my own personal use in my car. Why is the ping icon next to some of the songs I purchase,When I try to burn these songs I am told by a pop up that these songs can't be found, but they are in my itunes music list.I don't understand. Please advise me asap. hx Wendy159

    This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
    Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
    Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

  • "Show Hide Elements" movie Clips continue to play

    I've put a bunch of AP Div tags on a page with video links,
    once one begins to play it continues after another thumnail is
    clicked. So, a user can soon be bombarded with audio from 8
    different clips playing all at once, because once one begins
    playing, it seems to not "hide" or cease to play as it should.
    The URL in question is found here, but you have to click the
    link for more demo reel stuff to load the page I'm trying to work
    on:
    http://www.knappmediaproductions.com/portfolio.htm
    Remember, click where on the page it says: "More varied
    examples of Demo work seen here" to open the page I'm dealing with.
    Is there code of some kind to shut all those clips down when
    the layer they are on is hiding?

    I understand that you can remove one parent instead of many
    children in this way, which is good from an efficiency standpoint.
    Beyond that, I was ideally looking for a way to basically "freeze"
    the action on Frame A and return to it. I assume that, even with a
    parent-child scenario, I would still need to loop through all of
    the children and save their states (because just checking the
    parent attributes isn't going to get at this information). I was
    just asking if there was any easier way. It would be nice to be
    able to go to another frame - maybe on another level - and then
    come back to Frame A and pick up where I left off - just hopeful
    thinking, I guess.

  • Getting that little icon next to the web address..

    Hey everyone..
    Im using Dreamweaver 8, and I was wondering if there is a
    tool that allows me to insert a small little icon next to an
    internet browsers web address (ex: the little "Y!" to the left of
    the address bar, or better yet, the little macromedia "m" on this
    page, next to the "
    http://...." part. Is there a quick and
    dirty way? What should be the specs on the pic?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    http://www.google.com/search?q=favicon
    It's not really a DW thing, just put your favicon in the root
    directory of your website and insert a line like <link
    rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
    in the <head> section of your webpage.
    The pic itself is a 16x16 pixel image saved as favicon.ico. I
    think it's only supposed to be 16 color too...

  • IPad - with movie clips - how can I play more than one at a time?

    iPad2.  I post short movie clips via iTunes to the Photo catagory.  I can play each of these clips by selecting the clip and pressing the start arrow, only the selected clip will play.  How can I select a group of movie clips and have them play with only one selection.  Like a "slide show" but for movie clips???

  • Error 1034: Converting movie clip to instance of a custom object?

    I have several movie clips on the stage that each have unique instance names.
    I need to instantiate them as instances of a custom class I have created. This is giving me an error, and I know I'm probably missing some simple concept somewhere, doing something wrong, but I don't know what it is.
    Here is my code:
    In the main timeline, I have (simplified):
    var puzzleAL:GeoGroup = new GeoGroup ("AL", "Alabama", 1, false);
    puzzleAL.addEventListener(TouchEvent.TOUCH_BEGIN, geoTouchBeginHandler);
    function geoTouchBeginHandler (e:TouchEvent): void {
        e.target.gotoAndStop("Over");
        nameDisplay.gotoAndStop(e.target.abbrev);
        e.target.addEventListener(TouchEvent.TOUCH_END, geoTouchEndHandler);
    function geoTouchEndHandler (e:TouchEvent): void {
        if (e.target.lock == false) {
            e.target.gotoAndStop("Off");
        else if (e.target.lock == true) {
            e.target.gotoAndStop("Lock");
        nameDisplay.gotoAndStop("USA");
        e.target.removeEventListener(TouchEvent.TOUCH_END, geoTouchEndHandler);
    It throws an error before the object is ever instantiated. It compiles, but at runtime I get:
    TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert Puzzleography_fla::Alaska_2@da0a0f9 to GeoGroup.
         at flash.display::MovieClip/gotoAndStop()
         at Puzzleography_fla::MainTimeline/goToFrame()
    My class code looks like this, if it matters:
    package  {
        import flash.display.MovieClip;
        public class GeoGroup extends MovieClip {
            public var abbrev:String;
            public var fullName:String;
            public var assignedOrder:Number;
            public var lock:Boolean;
            public function GeoGroup(abbrev:String, fullName:String, assignedOrder:Number, lock:Boolean) {
                this.abbrev = abbrev;
                this.fullName = fullName;
                this.assignedOrder = assignedOrder;
                this.lock = lock;
    I'm missing something obvious, I know it, but I'm new to OOP, switching from procedural, so I'm sure I'm getting a concept wrong somewhere.
    Thanks so much!
    Amber

    yes, it makes sense and yes, you'll need to learn a little.
    I have 50 movie clips not linked to any actionscript in the movie.
    that's incorrect.  those movieclips are linked to all the actionscript that applies to their class.  so, even if those movieclips weren't part of the GeoClass, they still have all the properties, methods and events of the movieclip class (created by adobe developers).
    The fact these movieclips are actually GeoGroup objects extending the movieclip class, adds even more code to them.  and, so far that's all good and exactly what you should do.
    They are all on the stage. They are all named with their instance names "puzzleAZ" "puzzleTX" etc.
    no problem, usually.  (but in your case, a problem explained below.)
    I want to be able to add variables to them, such as strings and numbers, so that I can call puzzleAZ.size or puzzleAZ.fullName to get "XX Acres" or "Arizona" returned.
    so, in programming lingo you want your objects to be members of a dynamic (ie, you can add properties) class.  the movieclip class is just such a class.
    I created a separate class (GeoGroup) that extends MovieClip that has in it all the variables I need and tried to assign each movie clip to that class.
    here's the problem.  when you created your GeoGroup class you mandated that certain parameters be passed to the constructor.  when you add a class member (like each of those puzzle pieces) to the stage, the class constructor is invoked (along with everything else in that class).  However, no parameters are passed to your constructor so the flash compiler points out the issue and refuses to run your code.
    there are two ways you could proceed:
    1.  remove the parameters from the constructor
    2.  don't add any class members to the stage in the authoring environment.
    p.s.  this is your GeoGroup constructor:
          public function GeoGroup(abbrev:String, fullName:String, assignedOrder:Number, lock:Boolean) {
                this.abbrev = abbrev;
                this.fullName = fullName;
                this.assignedOrder = assignedOrder;
                this.lock = lock;
    the paramters that contructor requires are 2 strings, one number and one boolean.

  • Movie Clip Controls

    Hey guys, hope this doesn't sound too stupid, but I am
    building a site with frame based navigation. Example, when you
    click the ABOUT US button you go to the frame labeled about us. Is
    there a way to play the movie clip in that frame in reverse before
    navigating to the next Frame (Movie Clip)?

    I would think the easiest way would be to duplicate the
    movieclip, add it to the end of the original movieclip, before a
    stop frame. Select all the frames in the new movieclip and select
    "Reverse Frames". Have this movieclip play first before it goes to
    the next frame.

  • Adding small photo in corner while movie clip is running

    Hey,
    This is my first time using Imovie 08' and I'm a little confused. What i'm trying to do is place a small .gif in the bottom left corner of a movie clip, almost like a title. I have tried placing the picture into the title, but that only supports fonts, not .jpeg or .gif files. When i try placing the picture over the selected clip itself, the picture just takes up the whole screen, covering up the existing clip. Help would be much appreciated.
    Ben

    When i try placing the picture over the selected clip itself, the picture just takes up the whole screen, covering up the existing clip.
    Clips/pictures are automatically scaled for the project resolution and aspect selected that was user selected. You basically have two options:
    1) You can create your image in a graphic application on a canvas of the same resolution and aspect ratio as your iMovie '08 project and in the location desired, export your image in an alpha-channel format (e.g. PNG), drop/add it to the project as a still frame sequence, reset the duration, and "clone" it as needed for continuous or periodic display.
    2) If you want it displayed for the entire length of your video and you have QT Pro, I prefer to simply use the "Add to Selection & Scale" Edit option in QT Pro on the finished project export. (In this case you only need to create your image on a canvas large enough for the image at the approximate size you want it to display since you can independently scale and position the image anywhere within the display screen area.

  • Advice on animating lots of small movie clips

    Hi,
    I have a performance problem that may be best demonstrated
    with an example.
    http://www.b3ta.cr3ation.co.uk/data/swf/game1.swf
    If you look at the animation and watch it for a while you
    will see the
    number of balls growing.
    Initially the performance is so-so but eventually it becomes
    totally
    unacceptable. So I was wondering if anyone could impart
    advice about any
    optimizations.
    Every tile is a movie clip and every ball is a movie clip
    that tweens from
    one tile to the next. I also need to read the frame the clips
    are on but
    when I bound a class to the balls clip it immediatly ran
    unacceptably slow.
    I have a plan B which involves creating tile animations of
    each of the ball
    animations, which I know would create a huge performance gain
    but would mean
    creating 510 tile animations and thus make the animations
    unmaintainable.
    TIA
    Wil

    I created a new tween object just the once for each x and y
    as neeed. Would
    that make much odds?
    Is the other poster kglad correct in saying the number of
    visible movie
    clips in this instance shouldn't be causing problems?
    Cheers
    Wil

  • Movie Clip in swf won't show animation in adobe premiere pro cs4

    Hi, I am new to this forum and as well as a beginner user of adobe premiere pro cs4. I am recently making a animation using Adobe Flash CS5, I've been using movie clips symbol to create all the movement of the character, background and stuff. Unfortunately, swf movies exported from Adobe Flash CS5 do not show any animation at all in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. I have to use movie clips symbol instead of graphic symbol because filters can be added to a movie clip symbol but not graphic symbol. Is there any way to help making the movie clip symbol to be shown in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4? Your help is much appreciated.

    Check Flash help in the "video" section, specifically "moving content between" PR and FL. (I was looking at CS4, but it must be there in CS5 help as well.)
    Your movie is to be watched on a TV?  I would do this in After Effects. because you'll lose most of the flash functionality once you go to video anyway,

  • Not all my movie clips are showing up on the stage or playing

    II have 8 movie clips in 8 separate layers on my stage; they
    are set to play one after the other. First problem - even though i
    can see them all on the stage in my Flash document, when i test the
    movie, only the first 5 clips are visible, and these are the only
    ones that play through.
    why aren't the other 3 even showing up??
    i can upload the file if necessary...

    i have been looking at yer FLA for 5 min and i have no idea
    after looking at your codes and MC setup
    why it wont work.
    I copied just one of the offending images to a new FLA and
    tested it and it works fine...have to get
    back to some client projects but will return to your problem
    later.
