Smart card serial number

Hi, I would like to find the easiest way to get smart card serial number. I used to do this using "javax.smartcardio" package and proper APDU command. Now I need to access different types of cards so I need to access cards from some higher layers in order to have one code for all cards. With what can I do this? Can it be done done with "Bouncy Castle Crypto API"? I found earlier "iaik.pkcs.pkcs11.wrapper" which was able to accomplish that, but was not very reliable. I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

I have purchased an iTune gift card and the code on the back of the card has missing numbers and letters after scratching of the silver seal. I need the card serial number but not sure which number this is as the card has three (3) different numbers listed.

As far as developing a client application without developing a card applet, it all depends on the card. Where do I find the serial number on an iTunes card. I have a card that has an unreadable code and iTunes support is asking for the serial number from the card but doesn't tell me where to find it!

Usually, If the customer has a problem call to company.
1.- SBO user get the u201Ccall serveru201D
2.- SBO user support join the u201Ccall serveru201D and u201Ccustomer equipment cardu201D
3.- SBO user go to call server create a Delivery (works and equipment)
Unfortunately the technical support, works in customer company and usually canu2019t entry to SBO in several days.
We like use the u201Cweb toolsu201D, the technical support uses the web and can see the u201Ccall serveru201D, the Customer and marketing documents.
But canu2019t assign a u201Ccustomer equipment cardu201D to u201Ccall serveru201D and synchronize to SAP and create a Delivery by WEB

Get serial number of ACS 38 CCID smart card reader to identify it.

I m working over native card , and for security i want to get the special feature of smart card reader (serial number or anything) to make it distinguish with other reader. I am using ACS 38 CCID reader.
what i did to find this-
1- in Winscard.h , there are a function with name - SCardGetAttribute() , when i am using this for getting serial number , it is showing error like- Error 0x00000032 :- the request is not supported. while it is giving serial number when i am using other reader - SCM Microsystems Inc.
2- when i go for registry ,
HKLM\SYSTEM\CURRENT CONTROL SET\SERVICES\A38CCID\ENUM . i found there a
string - usb\vid_072f&Pid_90cc\5&3873a573&0&2 (Device Instance Id) but for number of reader ,its similar. so here i am fail again.
Is there any way to get this or i need to consult with manufacture?
I already use javax.smartcardio.*; is there any function to get the detail of reader connected????

I'd bet my last Euro it's the second FRU you mentioned, 04W1637, because all FRUs, and all Lenovo MTMs and order numbers that I have ever seen consist of 7 digits or letters, this was so in the IBM days and has been the case ever since.

You can't. You need a valid SIM to activate the phone.
