So is it true that you can only purchase a plan now for photoshop and no longer buy an actual disc or any software as a one time buy?
it has been awhile since i had a new copy of photoshop and when i go to look for one to buy it seems adobe has now made it so you can only subscribe to a plan? ugh. seems like i will end up spending even more money that way
You can still purchase a license for Photoshop CS6 700 USD new/200 USD upgrade for the Standard Edition.
Adobe has stopped distribution via boxed dvd-rom. It's all download now.
Be aware that with the exception of bugfixes and OS upgrades, there are no updates.

iTunes will only import music from your phone that was purchased from the iTunes store. To transfer music from other sources you have to use 3rd party software, such as PhoneView.

I need to transfer my Adobe Cs5 software (Student Teacher edition) and license from my old Mac Book Pro to a newer Mac Air. I've heard 2 things:
1)that you can only register the cs5 Student Teacher edition once
2)that you can register the cs5 Student Teacher edition to up to 2 devices
Which one is true? How do I transfer the software and software license?Regardless of what heard you can do registration-wise, which you only need to do once, you are allowed to have two activated installations. There is no limit to how many times you might activate an installation, but you can only maintain two activated installations at a time. So if you have two machines you can have the software installed and activated on both. If you get a new (third) machine tyhen you would have to deactivate one of the other two machines' installations in order to activate/use the sfotware on the newest one.

If you install on a third computer, it will request you to de-activate on the other two computers. You can then reactivate one of the previous two computers, and use Creative Cloud apps on it.

I have just purchased a new macbook and need to sync my iphone with itunes, i understand that you can only sync your phone with one itunes account. I do not want to wipe my iphone when syncing with this new itunes account. Any advice welcome
1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it. -

WAV as originally developed does not support embedded artwork. It is also very limited even for simple text based meta-data. AIFF also as originally developed (by Apple) did not support embedded artwork but Apple have added the ability to do this and this works in iTunes for Mac and Windows. Some other applications can also read such embedded artwork in AIFF files but not WMP.
If your looking for a lossess file format to use that supports embedded artwork for iTunes, then I suggest using Apple Lossless which uses the MP4 file format and MPEG4 meta-tags, these are the same as used by AAC.
It is possible to use Apple Lossless files in WMP and Windows Media Center, but not alas to read the embedded artwork in WMP. I use embedded artwork in Apple Lossless for iTunes and iPod and iPhone, and then use a folder.jpg for WMP.
Note: I have all my music in Apple Lossless playing fine in WMP. -
Recently read on a deal site forum page that you can only use Apple lightning cables to charge iPad Air or iPad Mini Retina running iOS 7 or higher. Is that the case or will any 8-pin to USB cable work? Thx in advance for any helpful replies.
Due to a lot of bad press that Apple was getting due to burnt chargers, shocked users (the electrical kind...), etc., due to the lousy third party El Cheapo brand generics, as of iOS 7 the cable must be Apple-certified before the iGadget deigns to use it for charging purposes. Unfortunately (for Apple) the old traditional USB to 30-pin cable is just that, a straight piece of wire, and can't be validated by the iGadget. But lo & behold, the new gear uses the new Lightning cable, which contains an embedded chip that CAN be validated and lousy imitations disabled from use.

The payment methods that are available in your country will show on your account. If debit cards aren't available on that screen then you won't be able to use it as your payment method. -

All my music is on my original iTunes account so I was told at the apple store to keep that account only or I will loose all my music purchases. I see what you're trying to point out on this concern you have, However there is no setting on the phone that can do that. See this article for reference. You may consider contacting your carrier to check for further possible options on that. Then again, there is no assurance for it.

Amount of on demand movies that you can only buy and not rent.
Why are so many on demand movies for which you only have the option buy and not rent? I beginning to find this very upsetting given the amount of money I pay for my monthly service. I guess this just another ploy to squeeze more dollars from subscribers. If this continues I guess I'll either have to get Netflixs or switch providers.
It's the movie studio's last ditch effort to save a archaic business model. Their answer to sagging DVD sales? "We won't let you rent movies--we're going to force you to buy them." The plan is to not allow movie rentals for at least a month or two after the DVD is released for sale, on the theory that people just can't wait, and will buy it. There may be a few movie fans that will go for that, but the rest of us will just wait.
I use a combo of netflix Hulu, Vudu and amazon prime, and only buy from on demand if it's cheaper, I can't wait or unavailable on the others, and that is rare, but it happens. -

I have changed my country from India to Oman. Now when i try to update or download anyu application, the message," Your account is not valid for use in Indian Store. You must switch to the Omani Store before purchaseing" comes.
In Itune account details, the country is shown as Oman and payment details are also OK thru Oman based bank's Visa card.
Now the problem is that I cannot update any of my applications or download any new applications.
